waow 2024 is almost dead!!! gone too soon. feels like it’s been a big year for me art-wise for many reasons, BUT. i’m making 2025 bigger.... hopefully....i’ve made some art goals for next year which i won’t explain in detail but they boil down to 1) do more studies 2) tackle my weaknesses (backgrounds, dynamic poses/angles, uhhh lots of stuff i am a one trick pony right now) 3) get into drawing comics, all of which are in preparation for 4) take my story ideas more seriously and get started on one of the many graphic novels living in my head. i have one in mind i HAVE to complete in my lifetime or i will die, but firstly i’m gonna mess around with some little standalone svanhildr comics perhaps. goat fans rejoice.

A little anxious to post an OC since the rise of OC hate in this fandom is getting a little too common and my OC is considered corny but I don't wanna scrap this entire drawing 😿 description about her is under the cut

Her full name is Marie Manon de la Lapin ( lapin means rabbit in French I'm still trying to make a decent French middle and middle last name for her 😓😓😓) and she's Earl's wife . She's also Sariah's mother ( a really bad one at that ) and owns a HUGEEEE garden .

I heavily based her off Brigitte Bardot , Marilyn Monroe and Marie Antoinette ( and also Ingrid Pitt but she's more of a face claim instead ) ANNND also took some of their traits and added it onto her ( especially Bardot 's parenting 🙁 )

Haven't stuck with a voice claim but maybe Carlotta from Phantom of the opera ( either the original London cast or the 2004 film ) or that little angel figure from that one Beauty and the Beast Christmas special .

I haven't really developed her personality but She's an extremely and out - of - touch woman , though she's less concerning and more sympathetic than her husband . Caring more about festivities and events to brag about and show off . She's more put together though . She'll usually harass her favorite servants or spend time with the pet rabbits in the garden . She also masters in fan language and croquet , along with horseback riding !!!

She's not EXTREMELY loyal to Earl since she also had a couple of flings with Susan and some other characters 🔥💔🧏🏾🤢🐇😢🥺😔😘��😘 but she still loves Earl anyways even though she's not like completely devoted to him

Her themes are "lazy" and "Diamond's are a girl's best friend" by Marilyn Monroe , along with "primadonna" from Phantom of the opera ( both versions )

She's a silkstone / vintage Barbie

Uhhh yea give me a critique on how I can make her less corny or like more interesting 🙏🏾 pls I really need it

I think, legally, if a studio/game developer/publisher/whatever has the rights to an IP, but they go for five or more years without releasing any projects related to that IP, the rights to the property should return to the person who originally pitched or wrote it and they can repitch it somewhere else or continue it on their own as they see fit, or just keep the rights and know that nobody can butcher the property.

Obviously, companies should keep the rights to the projects they create while the IP is theirs and any characters or concepts that they introduced that was not the original creators idea should belong to their individual versions, but I think if more creators had the option to take their beloved brain child and walk if a studio decides they actually don't want to do anything with the IP, they should be more than capable of doing so.

This should also apply to cancelations without any plans for new projects AND media being removed from streaming and viewing should automatically return to the original creator.

after seeing this game i so dearly wish for a multi-character multi-story adventure-esque game featuring at a MINIMUM unique storylines for amy tails and knuckles. each with the 3-4 levels like shadow has here. but as i get further in the more afraid i am that the real takeaway is that sega is going to do with frontiers what nintendo did with Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom (cram all future games in a previously innovating franchise into the same niche)

now that i'm mentally working towards making a new ren ref sheet, i'm finding i'm. SO torn. because yeah, ref sheets can be redone if things change, w/e... but it also feels like with each one i'm "locking in" more features? and he's gone through so many changes in such a short amount of time that it's hard to decide on certain things!! like!!

(design choice rambling under the cut, i just needed to get it out of my head bc it's been stuck in there for weeks kJNKJNS)

baby boy. baby. squeezable. squeaky toy noises. super cute and primed for Corruption... and his hair is very easy to draw LMAO...

but he also just kinda looks like a silly, tired 20-something year old??? like a guy who's still catching up on sleep after many college all-nighters, but otherwise doing well?? and he looks a little more... well-kempt than he initially did. not exactly your standard anime guy but much closer to that kind of design.

meanwhile...

very first sketch, from the morning after my dream. very pretty but also A Bit Of A Mess. also very clearly 30-something years old. and i REALLY love how his messy ass hair looks.... it's just... such a pain to draw consistently KJNKSJFN...

and while it makes sense for him to look more put-together, with the way his character and story have evolved... man... messy ren is so pretty, wtf. and his hair looks so grabbable who said that.

idk i'm rambling, i'm just frustrated bc he changes a little each time i draw him so there are a bunch of different possible design choices to pick from and i like ALL OF THEM. AUGH.

(i'm also frustrated in parallel bc he was initially a scorched-earth, pure villain post-Fuckening, which was fun AND hot AND took from a lot of past dream-ocs i never did anything with... but story-wise it makes soooooo much more sense for him to directly target specific people and then fuck up Massively and have to deal with the aftermath. like i'm debating making ANOTHER ren offshoot where he really is a pure villain JUST so i can draw him being evil and fucked up and hot about it 🥴 idk, a lot of frustration from a lot of different angles!)

the sense of having any lore about the ancient [ten to thirteen years ago] of marble hornets times like granpa granpa tell us a greentext story....the only hitch is not having stories and instead having "i guess you had to be there" tales from the fringes, unless instead of a hitch you frame this as a bit
