Incredible! And I'm not sure if the use of a red carnation for Doc was purposeful, but dark red meaning admiration and romance and him immediately inviting Grian for an avian dance? (And more mentions of Grian as poultryman? 100/10) I am looking with my eyes WIDE open at the characterization

I'm a huge supporter of seeing more of the guys bumbling around and avoiding their very obvious feelings for each other, and every time you absolutely deliver. I wish I could absorb the way you write character dialogue and interactions because everything feels so natural and fun

omg mack ive missed you! the vibe around here has mostly been over how happy the guys seem and how it seems like they’re doing much better. ngl i got into mcr post-split and havent really seen any full recordings of past shows except for shrine, so i was wondering if youve noticed a difference in how they seem onstage now compared to pre-split? ive seen a lot of ppl say they’re all smiling more but i was wondering if theres anything else thats seemed different that you’ve noticed

so i watch a LOOOOT of live videos. ive seen every full show recording that exists multiple times and ive watched a LOT of really horrible live videos as well lmao. one of my favorite youtube channels finds setlists for shows and then finds a video on youtube of every song and splices them together to make a full show and sometimes the videos are the worst thing you've literealy ever seen. but i will be watching them.

anyway. i will say that i never got the impression that they were like particularly UNHAPPY from the shows that i watch. and i mean the other night on stage gerard was saying how they never got to have fun before. and idk how true that is. i mean maybe true for him. but also maybe the worse stuff sticks out in his memory now. but i don't think the band would have gone on for 12 years if they were all miserable the entire time.

HOWEVER. it is very obvious to me that right now on this tour they are SOOOOO HAPPY like rididculously deliriously happy like having the time of their lives and its so good to see. and its especially a huge change from the shrine!!! but at this point i've decided i think they were just really nervous and in their heads for that one.

but like god. myself and i know others, were like excited for tour but also scared. like we joked all the time that gerard didn't want to do it or was going to make up an excuse to get out of it or this or that, not because thats what we wanted but it seemed so like. idk there are factors. but a lot of us were unsure how gerard felt about it or if this was what he really wanted to do. especially as time went on from when they initially intended to do it and it kept getting postponed. so like to see gerard have such a good time and be so animated and keep TELLING US that theyre having fun and theyre happy like. its os incredible. and its infectious! really really good to see. im so glad.

A/N: okay i have like little to no memory of how this fic went, but @danibby​ basically convinced me to rewrite it LMAO uhhh this is a rewrite of my very first tk fic that i originally uploaded to deviantart and think I deleted bc i can’t find it (i havent touched deviantart in literal YEARS dont come for me pls) and I don’t really remember exactly what happened but here we are lmao uhh enjoy?? sorry most of this doesn’t make ANY sense blame younger me because i think this is at least close to what happened. happy (late) remastered skyward sword release to everyone!

Summary: Groose is jealous that Link has been getting closer to Zelda recently and decides to teach him a lesson.

“Oi, Link!”

Link turned with a sigh at the sound of his rival's voice, Groose walking up to him with his minions following right behind. 

“You’ve been getting too chummy with Zelda lately, who do you think you are?”

“I’m her friend,” Link said flatly, as he’s had this conversation with Groose several times before. The redhead just couldn’t seem to fathom the fact that Zelda would want to be friends with Link despite the two of them knowing each other since childhood.

Link had been there for Zelda through many things, and they were very close friends, though Link couldn’t help a flutter in his heart whenever she was near recently. Perhaps Groose had picked up on that, and because of it he had decided to target Link more.

“Stop spacing out, dimwit! I asked if you would accept my challenge!”

Link shook himself out of his thoughts, asking for Groose to repeat what exactly this… challenge was. Groose clicked his tongue in annoyance, but repeated it anyway.

“A simple loftwing race around Skyloft. You win, and I stop bothering you. I win, and you leave Zelda alone.”

“I don’t know if Zelda would like those conditions-”

“Too bad! If you don’t accept this, I’ll take it as a sign of defeat, proving that you aren’t worthy of Zelda!”

This guy… was too much. Link sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. He looked around the room, eyes landing on Fledge who immediately looked away, not wanting to get involved with Groose. Link couldn’t blame him; he was a constant victim of their bullying.

Link finally resigned, agreeing to Groose’s challenge. Groose chuckled, patting Link’s shoulder.

“You better prepare yourself. We’ll be doing it tomorrow at noon,” Groose said, a confident smirk on his face. Link grimaced and went to the dock of Skyloft, a place where he liked to think.

“Heya Link!” A chirp came, and Link turned to see Zelda standing next to him. She giggled, sitting down next to him and tucking some hair behind her ear. Link immediately perked up at the sight of her, but she still managed to pick up something was off about Link.

“Is everything okay?”

“It’s just Groose.”

Zelda sighed indignantly, crossing her arms. “If he does anything just let me know, I’ll show him his place.”

“I think I need to defend myself this time, but thank you,” Link said with a soft smile, and Zelda nodded. They chatted a bit longer, but Link eventually headed off to bed, waving goodbye to Zelda after walking her to her room.

The next morning, Link got up and prepared himself, flying his loftwing around Skyloft to get warmed up. It was finally time, and Link flew down to the dock, making sure his loftwing wasn’t going to be locked up again.

“So you decided to show up, huh?” Groose sneered, though it was obvious that Link wouldn’t back down from this. Groose and Link lined up near the dock, jumping off and calling their loftwings. Link’s loftwing immediately picked him up, flying off with incredible speed.

He couldn’t see Groose anywhere near him when he looked around, and Link clicked his tongue in annoyance. Groose was probably taking some shortcut or cheating somehow; he had done this before. 

Link gasped and veered when Groose suddenly divebombed him with his loftwing, sending Link and his loftwing off-balance. He heard Groose laugh from above him, and Link gritted his teeth, trying to urge his loftwing to speed up before he could do it again. 

His loftwing was still a bit frightened, however, and flew upwards instead. Groose followed him, and Link grimaced. There were two options; he could land, which would likely end the race, or he could try and get control back over his loftwing. He opted for the latter, grabbing the reins and tugging, and his loftwing obeyed.

Groose caught up to him, however, and as Link directed his loftwing away, he went straight for a floating island off the side of Skyloft. Before he could readjust, his loftwing landed, and Link sighed in defeat.

Groose landed next to him, laughing as he got off his loftwing, walking over to Link who was currently trying to calm his loftwing down.

“So you still couldn’t beat me, huh? You talk big but you can’t live up to it.”

You’re the one who talks big, Link thought, though he kept his mouth shut. Groose clapped his hands together, patting Link on the back.

“How about this, I’ll strike you a deal; we can have a rematch if you’re honest with me. Are you… interested in Zelda?”

Link went bright red, his gaping mouth immediately giving him away, though Groose wanted a verbal answer. He poked Link a few times, making the dirty blonde jump before he muttered something. Groose raised an eyebrow.

“What was that?”

Link said nothing. Groose grumbled. “Giving me the silent treatment now, huh?”

Link turned his head away from Groose, and Groose grumbled, his temper getting the better of him. Link was about to board his loftwing, but Groose wanted to show him exactly who he was messing with before he took off. Groose thought back to when he and Link were younger, even a bit closer than they were now. An idea popped into his mind, and he grabbed Link and pulled him off of his loftwing, making Link gasp.

“What the-!”

Link struggled in Groose’s arms, and his loftwing flew off squawking because of the commotion. Link kicked his legs, squeaking suddenly when he felt Groose squeeze his hip. Groose smirked.

“That still works, huh?”

“Don’t!”

Groose didn’t listen. He lowered the kicking Link to the ground, easily pinning him as he dug into Link’s ribs, making the boy shriek and immediately burst into frantic giggles.

“Groose! Dohohon’t!”

“Just tell me what’s going on between you and Zelda and I’ll stop! Then we can have our rematch, fair and square!”

“Nohoho! You’d cheheheat anyway!”

“You’ve got some nerve talking back to the Groose!” Groose jeered, his hands climbing up to Link’s underarms as he yelped, clamping his arms down and twisting back and forth in an attempt to shake off the redhead.

“Stahahahap! Not thehehere!” Link laughed, squeaking occasionally as Groose finally pulled back to his ribs, where Link’s laughter grew.

“You just have to answer my question, it’s not that hard, Stink!”

Link couldn’t even focus on how Groose had made fun of his name because of how bad the sensations were. Groose had tormented Link with tickling when they were younger, though it was mostly playful. He hadn’t tried it in several years, and it seemed Link was just as sensitive as when he was younger.

Link shrieked when Groose started to squeeze his hips, Link trying to shove him off as he squirmed, cackling.

“Wahahahahait! I cahahahan’t!”

“Can’t what? Can’t answer a simple question? Then it’s gonna be a long day for you,” Groose said, digging his thumb into Link’s hipbone as he threw his head back, yelling.

“STAHAhap! Plehehehease, no mohohohore!”

“Answer the question then!”

Link’s face was bright red at this point, tears starting to prick the corners of his eyes as he laughed frantically, shaking his head as he finally gave in.

“Okahahahay! I’ll tehehehell you, so stahahap!”

Groose crossed his arms, not getting off of Link as he panted, clutching his chest as he recovered, some phantom tickles still tingling on his body.

“We’re just friends,” Link said, and Groose narrowed his eyes. Link expected him to get off now that he had given him an answer, but Groose only went right back for Link’s hips, making him shriek and fall back against the ground, kicking his legs.

“Groohoohoose!”

“Don’t lie to me! I know you’re interested!”

“I’m nohohohot!” Link wailed, embarrassment getting the better of him. Groose grumbled, scribbling over Link’s stomach as he screeched, cackling madly as he squirmed.

“Just admit it and we can have our rematch!” Groose demanded, pinching at Link’s sides as he grabbed onto Groose’s wrists, trying to pull his hands off.

“Fihihine! I dohohoho!”

“Didn’t hear that, speak more clearly Stink!”

“I’m inteheheherested!”

Groose finally stopped, getting off of Link and leaving him to catch his breath. Link sat up, glaring at Groose, finding the whole situation unnecessary. Though he didn’t have enough leftover energy to be angry, and he flopped right back down onto the ground.

“You and I are gonna have a rematch tomorrow, so be prepared.” Groose said, hopping on his loftwing. Link didn’t even respond as Groose flew off. 

Link finally sat up, calling his loftwing and flying off, the past ordeal still reeling through his mind as he landed by the Knight Academy, sighing. 

“How’d that race go?” Zelda asked when Link walked in. She must’ve been waiting for him, she surprised him.

Link grumbled, not wanting to tell her exactly what had happened, and just mentioned that there would be a rematch the next day. She chuckled, poking Link a few times as he flinched.

“Well then you better be prepared! How about we go out for a little flying right now?”

Link nodded happily, his bad mood melting away as he and Zelda walked back out of the Academy, about to take off for a little trip around Skyloft. Link would be ready for that rematch tomorrow, and he wouldn’t lose no matter what dirty tricks Groose threw at him.

It doesn’t help that on the first day when you enter the gym you look terribly constipated and panicking a lot because of all the stray balls being spiked and tossed around.

When you approach the coach, you’re not exactly sure what to say and you were this close to chickening out until you saw one of the players come up to you and ask if you were alright and if you wanted to talk to oikawa.

Kentaro was another story though, kid basically hated your guts at first, it felt like if you were to say one sentence to him that day, he’d literally spike a ball at your direction.

You’re literally just there to write about them but they’re really patient and kind, they even invite you to practice games so that you could practice out your skills in writing since you mentioned that you’ve never written for sports yet.

you’re def closest to iwaizumi and matsukawa.

iwaizumi because he makes really funny fish jokes about oikawa (yes you arent supposed to be laughing but man theyre funny af, oikawa would usually call you and iwa corny because the jokes aren’t even that funny) and yes its canon that whenever iwaizumi sees an oikawa fish in textbooks, he starts laughing and joking about it.

no explanation needed why you ended up being close to matsukawa.

hello icha!! i finally got around to finishing the stranger haha,, by which i mean i just watched it today. was veryyyy excited for it as i really like the poster design for this one. anyways. this event starting w/ the sort of portrait format or whatever / that narration is like. god. threw me right back to autumn troupe. I kind of love that the storytelling format itself is so distinct for autumn! the moment I realized it was omi I started getting teary… like oh man oh man… omi…. And the connection with him taking photos! ahh!! now that I think about it… omi kind of seems a bit like early version tsumugi, huh? also I keep forgetting this man is a college student lol. suspension of disbelief I suppose. onto the play i think like. mankai should invest in a fainting courch for tsuzuru. i also went to watch the play and 1) im betting yuki had a hell of a time costume design wise like the vines on the body? such fun costuming wise and 2) the ethical implications of whatever this play has,,, fun fun. tsuzuru was clearly having some kind of thoughts. i love zeros design and am always up for a3 characters crossdressing bc 1) i think its fun and 2) the costume design. i also dearly wish this whole thing was animated bc I feel like it’d be o fun to see taichi act as zero. or at least I hope this event gets full voiced one day... moving on to the scene where omi adds soy sauce to the paella I know it’s just like haha homare funny so lets five him a lil bit but like everyone in autumn troupe making their comments on the paella and like homare just jumping in. homare autumn troupe besties. just thinking. also the way they just r like. no no no omi it’s fine if u made a mistake!! it’s ok! we like it (you) anyways <3 it’s got it’s own special taste. something something omi’s perfectly pleasant as he is now but even if he weren’t on his a-game and was dealing with all of the biker gang stuff they would love him just as hard. another thing that got me was omi telling banri that he’ll give him something sweet so juza will stop grinding his teeth in his sleep… guys… guys you’ll give him cavities…. mb omi is a college student after all lol.

anyways when i saw the actual costumes. appreciative of them, i like the lil circuit-esque detailing on banri’s outfit, and that sakyo and taichi (nine and zero) both share that like collar detail? its very symbolic and probably also literal but its a nice way to sort of signify their relation to each other visually! also sakyo just looks nice. seeing him without glasses is so great. whoever thought up the like two mole detail for him was doing gods work.

something that confused me was ryo mistaking juza for nachi for a split second? like. does juza… look similar to nachi? or was it just that ryo only heard juzas voice and made that mistake. if it’s appearance wise too. kumon nachi confirmed. I’m joking lol bc I feel like I would’ve heard at least something abt it in one of the like small conversation comments, plus that doesnt seem like itd fit summer troupes style and kumon is for sure the wrong age… but still.

i really like how for this event, the roles for taichi and omi were kinda reversed. and taichis just so like. idk. smiley. rly lifts ur spirits. its kind of nice how this event contrasts to that cg where taichi is crying on omi. I also think like. idk. considering the story of the stranger. wolf gives zero a sense of purpose and life and I think that zero helps wolf lose his apathy. it’s about “the stranger” and the ending makes him like… not a stranger, right? because he’s got a companion. in the same way, taichi brings omi out of his emotional isolation. the picture taking! also the stickers coming back… thats such a good setup! the found family of it all!!

when he was trying to work out zeros character as soon as taichi mentioned a sharp speaking style I KNEW it was Yuki… yuki would never be as honest as zero is though lol… to me i imagine she’s got a sort of juza internal monologue feel? anyways. the taichi yuki dynamic intrigues me. havent yet decided how I feel abt it but when I do… yes. sorry that I make literally no sense. I think it’s very obvious that yuki is my fav chara kind of? I’m just. hmmm it makes me think! I’ve been monologuing to myself abt the yuki and juza dynamic lately which, to my a3 knowledge so far, doesn’t exist, but its ok bc I’ll make it exist! uhhh anyways this event was very good i liked the pacing. i think it didnt drag too hard and it really properly honed in on just omi and taichi, which was quite nice. they really did a lot for just an event!

Omi mentions he sees a lot of Nachi in Juza, and while it is mostly due to their passions i think, the fact they're also rough looking guy with a heart of gold must play a part as well. but yeah, he does look like Nachi a bit.

I feel like Taichi is really an emotional core of the troupe in the sense that is, he tends to catch on what others are feelings easily. And he uses it in the early chapters to ease off the tensions and stuff, but he was being held back by knowing he was deceiving them. So now that he's more free, he can be more of himself. but yeah i also love the contrast with how Omi was the one to help Taichi through his breakdown and guilt, and now it's the other way around, it's Taichi helping him through it. and the parallelism between the play and their dynamic is spot on imo! well said!!

and god yeah the sticker things made me cry sO HARD, and the pictures! and everything!! sobs it's such a sweet found family i'm going to cry :(

And! i love what you say about Yuki, Taichi and Juza on this one. I love that Taichi keeps bringing it back to "that childhood friend" and it's always like. so obvious who it is for us rip. But it can make you wonder if Yuki was more honest as a kiddo when Taichi knew him, though now he's clearly not. I love the mention of how Zero is more like Juza's internal speech (which, if anything is another argument about why you should let Juza wear a dress, cOWARD)

but also your mention of the Yuki and Juza thing, while i can't think of them having a dynamic per se yet, but i actually wrote a post during my reread about how i was baffled at the fact they treated Muku the same way?? like both of them tried to push Muku away because they were scared of how people would react if they say pure, sweet Muku was associated to them. And i find it fascinating because i guess those two are pretty aware of how the world see them, and it used to stop them from fully allowing them to be themselves.

I also find it relevant with the fact Yuki says in his personal song that while all of this way people judge him weight on him, he rather be himself, and "I want to love myself". Meanwhile we have Juza who's also aware of the way people judge him and it weight on him, and he wants to change himself from this person he hates, this self loathing - and in a way, he can grow in a way to be "someone" he may not hate, even on stage. I feel like those two have quite a bit in common in this way of being rejected by their peers in some sort of way.

I really want them to share some stuff at some point because there's really a groundwork on it all :(

But i'm really glad you liked that event!! agreed on the pacing and i do love what it brings to the characters! it really fleshes them out and have them move forward a little and it's pretty sweet.

today ive been really frustrated w newer anime/manga fans just due to the fact that they feel the need to share everything on tiktok and can be very entitled or as my friend said “they don’t know how to hustle”. like i remember when I had to watch anime on YOUTUBE and vimeo, netflix wasn’t even showing anime like that. I had to search for my own resources to enjoy anime completely. i personally don’t like gatekeeping but certain things i would love if people kept under the ropes. like sites ppl use to read manga, one of them i used from 2010 might be getting shut down completely because people on tiktok keep sharing its name and it’s non-profit so like you and other ppl have mentioned, it’s the same on ao3, they go based on donation to keep the site running so people just coming from tiktok, wattson, etc for a bit havent had the attachment others have when it comes to ao3 so god forbid the site does shut down, it’s like they’ll find something else to invade with any care about the work it takes to maintain said community. im pretty sure ive talked to u about how tiktok bothers me. for instance & you of all people should know; tiktok ppl sharing works from ao3, the author getting swarmed and thus said author having to take a step back because people cross boundaries. it just happened to another author i follow, roguerika, because their work was shared on tiktok, the content warnings were very much present, but people read it despite knowing their triggers and then harassed them about what they wrote. if you know something is triggering for you, why read it and harass the person :-/ my triggers are muted on all social media, not all of them i can avoid but still! i don’t consume work that has triggering stuff for me. so now all their works are archived, their Twitter is private and they are taking (a well-deserved) break because no one deserves to be harassed like that. im just upset, like of course i want people to appreciate anime and manga but some newer people are so careless and rude. like why is all the stuff that i was into when i was 15 suddenly super popular and in high demand 😭 to end on a positive note, I do appreciate newer anime fans that stick up for black and nbpoc within the community, especially when it comes to cosplay, before it was a battle in itself to even voice how racism in the anime community is so toxic as black cosplayers are constantly attacked.

Personally? I believe in a little gatekeeping as it’s obvious from TT that it’s needed. I heard of how they got a manga site shut down because they kept flooding it and sharing it on a wide spread level, and you already know how I feel about them sharing peoples’ works from AO3, too.

And yes, I know what happened to Rika. :( She and I are friends off tumblr and she was one of the few people who reached out to me when all that shit was happening to me. I still keep in touch with her to check on her when I see it happening to her to let her know I’m there for her and we talk quite a bit. It literally makes me want to fight people because she’s an awesome person who doesn’t deserve any of that shit. She’s always tagged her things appropriately, and it’s evident that the new people interacting with her stuff are not familiar with fanfic rules or the fanfic community. The dead dove do not eat tag means you don’t get to waltz into a fic, see a dead dove, and expect anything LESS than a dead fucking dove lmao. That is YOUR bad! If the author does their part, you need to do your part and realize the warnings were all there and YOU never exited, so that’s your goddamn bad. It also makes me incredibly sad and pissed off to see that TT is *still* harassing and bothering authors so much so that they have to take a step back because people don’t know how to be chill. 

I don’t believe fanfic should be shared on TT because fanfic is not made for mass public consumption. It has always touched on topics that popular media does not (and for good reason) and it’s not meant to be sanitized for public consumption on a massive level. Fanfic has never been for the general public— it’s for niche audiences who search out specific things and people from TT are clearly not familiar with that. Then they put on their black and white non-nuanced DiScOuRsE hats to argue things they aren’t smart enough to argue. 

It’s a shame because like you said, it’s cool that in one respect, people are more protective of fans especially black and NBPOC cosplayers, but on the other hand—that toxicity is still so prevalent. It’s a goddamn shame. And I don’t know why no one knows how to be decent towards each other. With all that discourse talk they engage in, they need to find the one about being kind and decent people because they’ve yet to figure THAT part out despite all their little conversations. 🤷🏻‍♀️

havent read the books but ive been watching bbc his dark materials and ngl,, please dont be angry with me but this writing...... aint the best lmao idk how true it is to the books but regardless of that... ok i think the main thing are the witches? gonna be honest it just feels like theyre there to be convenient and useful when necessary, but none of the minor plotlines around them have been at all interesting (or necessary, theres already a lot of stuff going on without them, story does not need them) and i really think everything would be better if the whole thing had been written without them. also none of it is character driven enough.... the scenes with lyras mum and lee in the prison cell? the monkey taking her hand? that was So Good, because it was character driven, but there isnt enough of that. most of the time its just characters doing what the plot tells them to, a shit load of incredibly obvious exposition and character decisions that make absolutely no sense. im only just able to follow whats going on but i do not understand it well enough to be able to retell it. having said that, i thoroughly enjoy the daemons and they make watching completely worth it

Hii. Im hoping you can give me some advice.I adore Jaime and Brienne and am devastated how things have been written in the last couple of eps. I took incredible joy by watching fan videos and binge watching the whole series. I havent been able to continue past few weeks due to Jaime leaving Brienne and the devastation that brought and when i try to watch JB,I think what's the point as he will just leave her & his character arc in S8.What mindset can I take to continue being a JB fan?Plse help :(

I really only have two steps:

1. The first step is to realize this is NOT canon. This is very expensive fanfic, created by dudebros who are incapable of seeing any meaning below the surface. (They even said that themes were for 8th graders LMAO. They also recently admitted that they don’t know how GRRM will end it. Chicky has a good post on how the books will be different.) 

Other than the illusion Jaime and Cersei cling to for comfort BEFORE they become estranged, there is literally nothing in canon to support this endgame. Everything that comes out of their mouths pre-estrangement is an illusion intentionally put there for GRRM to laugh at and totally annihilate. He’s basically writing a spoof on classic, passionate, toxic love. He even makes it crystal clear that Cersei is delusional when it comes to her relationship with Jaime and who Jaime is, by having the scene where she’s saying there’s no fucking way Jaime would leave her to her fate, all alone. She is SURE that he’ll come to her, even if it means getting the chance to die with her. What does he do? He burns the letter and leaves her to her fate. He not only refuses to try to save her, but he chooses to not die with her. (And the argument that he only didn’t go because he’s one-handed is really fucking stupid lol. He still chose to not die with her and he’s even like “Eh, she might be dead by now” while traveling). Another moment to highlight her delusion when it comes to their partnership is when she says “Jaime would never abandon me for such a creature.” Like, she actually panics when Qyburn tells her that he ran off with another woman and she’s like WHO WHAT WHERE?! She then says he obviously didn’t get the letter then, but the audience knows exactly what happened to that letter and that Cersei is, as usual, very mistaken. 

As for GRRM, when asked about his intent with Jaime, and Jaime and Cersei, NOT ONCE did he ever use the word “addiction” or imply that Jaime can’t move on. He doesn’t even bring up Cersei when he’s asked about intent with Jaime, and when he does it’s because he’s been specifically asked about her and he uses her as a CONTRAST to Jaime, and then he goes off on Jaime lmao.

He even said this while speaking about Jaime 

I want there to be a possibility of redemption for us, because we all do terrible things. We should be able to be forgiven. Because if there is no possibility of redemption, what’s the answer then? [x]

That doesn’t sound like a nihilistic ending to me.

I also HIGHLY doubt Cersei is the big bad in this. I’m convinced she absorbed (f)Aegon’s plot and she was kept around in the show much longer past her expiration date because HBO and the D’s love Lena because she’s an amazing actress, she helps the ratings, and she hasn’t read the books so she plays their woobifed version of Cersei. Once they gave her that pointless Jaime’s Baby pregnancy plot, it became very obvious she shouldn’t have even been around the last couple of seasons. 

Another very obvious reason as to why this is not endgame, is Cersei has valonqar in the books. Either Jaime kills Cersei or Cersei is killed by someone else. And no, he’s not killing her out of a jealous rage. If that was the case I don’t see why they wouldn’t have adapted that on the show to give all twincest fans their fantasy of Great Tragic murder/suicide? Especially since they were already playing up the twincest and Jaime had that encounter with Euron? And in the books, he’s upset and angry, DUH, but he’s heading in the direction of apathy. Did he go after Cersei when he found out, which would have been at peak pain levels? Did he kill Lancel when they spoke about it? Did he kill Cersei after his conversation with Lancel? lol no. So, my point is, without going into the 857408677694376037 other reasons it’ll never happen, the valonqar alone makes Jaime and Cersei dying together in a loving embrace almost impossible. There’s also a million other things wrong with this ending, for literally every other character, so it’s fucking ridiculous to think that all of that is wrong but somehow Jaime and Cersei is pure truth lmfao. 

2. Okay step 1 was long, but it’s very important to detach yourself from that garbage spite fic. Next, THE BANG IS WHERE IT ENDS. That is the conclusion to their story.

My favorite Astoria character is Alex, which is probably the most obvious one to everyone. I wrote a long post about why i like them so much yesterday :) (but i want it noted i really really adore the other characters too, if Alex wasnt i nthe picture idk who i’d choose bc theyre all my faves.)

For Havenfall, it’s still Mackenzie. I love her not only because she was my very first lovestruck love interest, but also because she’s strong and kind and her heart is made of gold. She’s a giant nerd and a goofball and I really admire her character!! Her route was also really really interesting, the bond she had with MC was so cool! And god she has the patience of a saint, which, MAD respect for her when she has to deal with JD’s latest shenanigans lmao. And, god, you know... she’s a werewolf!!!!!!! How can i Not be absolutely in love with her? Her wolf ears were so cute i could Cry

In Gangsters it’s... it’s a three way tie, i Cannot choose. Rory, Ash, and Chance are just..... so perfect. I fell in love with all three so quickly and their routes have been amazing. The way Chance softens around MC and how he’s always trying to do his best by her just makes me melt. He’s got a protective streak but it’s not too intense to the point that it’s irritating. He worries a lot about being like his dad, but god that only proves how much he isn’t like him. And Rory- god, what don’t I love about her? I think my favorite thing, in her entire route, is that she goes sober. Her drinking is a Character Quirk(tm) in every other route and is even like that for her S1, but when MC comes into her life she stops because she wants to be a better version of herself and it shows, constantly. She’s got so much control and even in her weak moments, she’s not shamed or anything. She’s a hurt individual (i mean, they all are---) but she does her best to not let it define her and it shows. And Ash!!!! He’s so cute and the fact that Seymour instantly loves him made me warm up to him really quickly because, ya know, dogs are great judges of character and all that. He’s quiet and mysterious but he’s got some incredibly funny lines that always took me by surprise. He’s smart and calm and he’s really just such a sweetheart ;o;;

I haven’t played all of Love and Legends yet but I am so so so in love with Helena’s route so far. It’s made very very clear that she’s been hurting for so long and so deeply and it’s a beautiful thing to watch her heal from that hurt, to see her find someone that wants nothing more than to stand by her as she finds her footing again. Her magic is so cool (heh) and idk she’s just. So beautiful and smart and dangerous i’m always in awe when I look at her!!

In Sweet Enchantments, I have to go with Lucien. His character design is my very favorite in the whole app, I think. Teal is one of my favorite colors and he’s got some of the most beautiful CGs. He’s also a lot like Chance in terms of personality, meaning he’s pretty cold and mean at the start, but warms up to the MC. He becomes so soft and gentle and he grows so much as a person, he learns how to be true to himself and not just sell out to a bunch of rowdy fans. All his little gestures to show MC how much he loves her is also very sweet and i just.... he’s so good. He got what was basically two proposals in his route, too, which i was SO in love with. The first is without a ring and when he’s still working off his sentence, but he tells MC that he knows he wants to spend his life with her, if she’ll just wait a little while longer. And then later he Really gets to propose and it made my heart soar, it was so beautiful, it was perfect ;O;;;;

In Sin With Me, Cal is my big big big favorite. Cal comes off as kinda mean, but it’s a facade you get to see through almost immediately in his route. He’s mean because he leads a dangerous life and wants to keep people away, because he cant trust them. But then he’ll buy you the item you guys were fighting over, and he’ll catch you when you’re about to fall in a cafe, and he’ll make sure you get home safely. His relationship with the other troupe members is also very sweet- he’s best friends with Onyx and it’s always one of my favorite interactions in any route. And the way he’s so sweet and kind to Avi? To Malakai’s mom and MC’s mom? He’s got such a good heart underneath his snark!!! He cares so much!!!

For Reigning Passions, it is without a doubt Xenia. My reasons for her are less complicated: she’s a SPIDER LADY with FOUR ARMS and PRETTY SILVER EYES W BLACK SCLERA, how   could i NOT be head over heels for her omg???? She’s who i’ve been waiting all my life for. But also, she’s so mysterious her whole thing is so cool. Mistress of spies? That’s the coolest title ever and I Am In Love With Her.

In Wicked Lawless Love im gonna have to go with Cecelia at the moment, although I still havent finished her OR Nathan’s S1s yet. She’s a vampire so??? Of course Im gonna pick her. Her thing with music is really fascinating and when she played the piano at the saloon to the tune of MC’s heartbeat? I nearly fainted lemme tell you, that is Exactly the kind of vampire shenanigans i need in my life.

Villainous Nights is hard because i legit love all of them so much I genuinely dont know if I can pick here. Their routes are all so interesting and unique, especially the MC and how her powers develop in each of them.Can I just pick Andi, Juliette, and Lorelei? Because I wanan pick all three of them. AND ALSO SHOUTOUT TO DUKE AND ZEKE AND RENZEI but especially Zeke and Duke. (Zeke’s special story had me sobbing btw i love him.) Andi is SO FUN and energetic and perky but she’s also like lowkey Wild and Dangerous and i loved that so much about her. Juliette is a giant giant giant nerd and a walking meme and her Bat suit is so freakin cool, I love everything abt her and her powers and EVEYRHTING. And Lorelei... she was the first VN character i played through and god she was amazing. She’s blunt and definitely a silent type, but she has such strong emotions and she’s got so much love. She was hurt so badly and it makes my heart ache but I can only love her more for it and how she works through that pain to be stronger than it. She’s so so strong i have. so much respect for lorelei.

I think thats it for the stories i’ve played all of or parts of!!! Honorable mentions go out to Serena and Vivienne and Zoe and Sofia andd Ellis and Antares! I havent played any of those stories yet but I did play the first free episodes and liked them most!

aaaaa okay !!! uh hold onto ur ears yall im abt to talk em off lmao

so !! if u didnt know, lucid dreaming is basically when you become aware that you’re dreaming while youre in a dream. once you’re aware, you can take control of the dream in literally any way u want — u can do anything, go anywhere, meet anyone, all with the knowledge that nothing can hurt u and nothing can stop u

its a fascinating concept and, the feeling when u actually become lucid for the first time? its better than anything else in the world. its the most invigorating thing u can ever feel, i think. but actually becoming lucid is, ,, , , hm. a time and a half. 

putting the rest under a cut bc, hooooo boy this is gonna get long

first things first! you absolutely have to keep a dream journal. forgetting ur dreams is all well and good when ur not trying to accomplish anything in them, but if you become lucid and then wake up with only the vaguest memory of what you actually did? thats painful.

u can either go all out and get a fancy journal and write them down physically each morning, or u can do what i do and just download an app. i personally use the app Dream Catcher, which lets u tag ur dreams for easy organization. just get in the habit of writing down your dreams every morning, and if you really, really cant remember anything, just write down that you didnt dream anything that day. you’ll train your brain to remember your dreams better

secondly! reality checks! are absolutely imperative! the idea behind them is that, if you do something throughout the day that “proves” your reality, eventually you’ll start doing it in your dreams as well. for example, a common thing in my dreams is that i’ll have extra fingers, so i check my hands a lot throughout the day. 

it can’t just be a casual thing, too. if all you do is glance at your hands and b like “yo looks normal, we gucci”, then you’ll do the same in your dreams even if you have Weird hands. trust me, Dream-You is an idiot, you gotta be obvious with this stuff. take a few moments, look at your hands, count out your fingers, and really think to yourself “am i dreaming?”

try to get in the habit of doing that at least 15 times a day, and eventually you’ll start doing it in your dreams too. 

now, if you just stick with doing those two things — which is what i’m doing right now — your chances of becoming lucid will raise astronomically. even just those two tiny things can train your brain into realizing when the world around you is real and when it isnt. you can also attempt something really easy called a MILD — a mnemonic-induced-lucid-dream — which can help your chances even more without upping the effort 

whenever you go to bed, just take a few moments — even just five minutes can help — and just. lay there. and think to urself, again and again “the next scene will be a dream” or “i will become lucid in my dreams tonight” or something similar. get ur brain really focused on lucid dreaming right before you fall asleep and chances are, those Vibes will bleed over into ur dreams and you’ll become lucid

practice those three things consistently, every day, and pretty soon you’ll start becoming lucid. it takes time, though! dont be discouraged if you end up not becoming lucid for the first few weeks, or even months. sometimes your brain just needs a bit of extra training

that’s what ive been doing for the past year or so — bc damn do i Not have the energy to actually put in too much effort — but!!! there are other techniques!!

my personal favorite is the WBTB, or wake-back-to-bed method. with this technique, you set your alarm for roughly 5-6 hours after you go to sleep so you’ll wake up inside of one of your REM cycles, specifically one where your dreams will be the most vivid. dont do anything, just roll over and go right back to sleep. 

you can even use a MILD along with this, repeat whatever mantra u usually use as you fall back asleep. you should start to see hypnagogic imagery — blobs of color and vague shapes floating before your eyes. just observe them. at one point, they’ll start forming more familiar shapes, and places, and maybe even people — and there should be a moment, a snap, where you go from observing these images to actually being in the scene. you literally build the dream around yourself, its magical

i have read that WBTB can cause sleep paralysis, but i’ve never personally experienced any problems with it, aside from the fact that im always tired the next day.

another thing that could severely increase your chances of being lucid but also involves Effort — meditation. specifically mindfulness meditation. the act of bringing full awareness to your Existence, honing in on just Your body, Your mind, Your breath, will make you a more aware, mindful person, which in turn makes you more perceptive of dream signs. also, the ability to clear your mind and center yourself with a moment’s notice really comes in handy when the dream becomes destabilized and you have to take control

if ur an adhd lad like me — or neurodivergent in any way, really — the idea of meditation can be,,,, terrifying. honestly, i havent meditated in like six months now, because it really wasnt?? doing anything for me?? mostly because im absolutely incapable of sitting still for that long without Something to stimulate me

so! loophole! guided meditations. having someone else guide you through the process can make it a bit easier to focus. just find one that works for u on youtube. there are even guided meditations made specifically to prime ur brain for lucid dreaming!

so thats how you get lucid. now for when youre lucid

at first, lucid dreaming is going to be extremely hard. dreams fall apart very easily — if you get too overexcited or if a dream-character looks at you the wrong way or if you cant seem to do what you want to do, your lucidity can fade and you’ll either go back to being your normal dream self or you’ll wake up. dreams are volatile and hard to control, and even harder to master

thats where meditation comes in handy. youll have a much easier time controlling your dreams if you can look at the world around you, take a breath, center yourself, and know that you can control it. that being said, you can absolutely learn to take control without ever having meditated a day in your life. its all about your mindset!

you have to go into it with confidence. the key to controlling your dreams is knowing that they’re your dreams. you cant forget that you’re in control. thats why i feel like learning to lucid dream doubles as a lesson in self-confidence — you have to learn to trust yourself, trust that you can handle any scenario thrown at you and come out on top.

if you can achieve this mindset, you can literally do anything. ive had maybe 50 lucid dreams since i started learning about them — which… is honestly a really low amount, but. i havent really had the time/energy to really throw myself into it  as much as i want to. but just in those dreams, ive flown, ive shapeshifted, ive met my sides, ive teleported to vast, gorgeous lands and seen some of the most beautiful things ive ever seen. anything is possible in a lucid dream; thats why its so worth it to put in the effort

but when youre first starting out, itll be extremely hard to maintain that mindset. like i said, Dream-you is dumb as shit — you’ll forget youre dreaming, you’ll be unable to control anything, you’ll wake up before you manage to accomplish anything. more often than not, the dream will destabilize, which is Not Fun

if the dream starts to destabilize — basically, if things start going fuzzy or vague, if you suddenly cant see, if you can feel ur body in bed, basically anything that points towards you waking up — there are ways to fix it. literally just spinning around helps for some reason? spin around, fall down, run ur hands along anything u can find and feel the texture, or just demand that the dream stabilize itself. most of the time, thatll work

and if it doesnt, dont be discouraged. theres always another night to dream

so basically: start a dream journal, do reality checks, mmmmaybe meditate if youre up for it, and your dreams will become like. at least 10x more interesting. trust me, try flying: its literally the best feeling in the entire world

its just !!! such a huge, incredible thing, and its so fascinating to learn about too. all the different ways you can train your brain, all the different things you can do, all the studies done on the subject. i suggest reading about Steven LaBerge or keith hearne. hearne led the study that proved lucid dreaming existed in the first place! he got a lucid dreamer to signal to him that he was conscious while asleep using REM (rapid-eye movement), because lucid dreaming happens during the REM state. also, robert waggoner’s book Gateway to the Inner Self is really fascinating too!

do you like felt tips at all? something about me really has grown to despise them. i havent touched a micron in years and ive favored a gel tech pen with a thin line. ive never heard any artist that has the same aversion, but i do think the ‘point’ on felt tips wears down incredibly fast

i used to use them a lot in HS because that’s what everybody recommends for art lmao but yeah, they’re nothing special. they make a decent thin line for details, but the ink quality can vary so wildly and its always been really obvious to me when i used several pens on one pic because the light hitting it makes different shades of black. i still have a lot of em laying around, so i mainly use em to fill in lots of dark space just to not waste the ink, but i still prefer the feel of a shitty ballpoint to a felt tip. for a serious picture, i’d probably use a fountain to get the thin lines, i’ve never been able to find gels that make thin lines
