Gonna fill this one out myself, because it looked fun!

OC questions:

* Who was your first ever OC? Do you still “use” them? How have they evolved over time?

Oreana was my first ever OC, and yes I do! She evolved from me wanting to write myself in with my favorite fixations to becoming her own actual character.

I could tell as a character she wanted to have the princess title removed, but I refused since I wanted that to be another obstacle for her. XD

2. Who is your newest OC? Why did you make them?

Asther Thyme, my goat OC was one I bought on toyhouse, but newest one made by me is Demiurge turned into a jackal.

I bought the goat because I am trying to rethink about this old idea of mine I wrote years ago as a kid that had more furries in it than humans. Demiurge turning into a jackal was just originally for fun but he stayed after awhile.

3. Biggest self-insert OC?

Oreana. XD; While she's come a long ass way since then, I still feel the parts of me that are in her.

4.What kind of music do your OCs listen to?

There's too many to list. Oreana just likes anything with a good beat, and Ignatius and Demiurge prefer instrumental.

5. What are some of your OCs biggest fears?

Oreana: being used again Ignatius: enduring loss again Demiurge: the loss of himself

Demona: never returning home

Cheshire: Demiurge ever getting his Creator's love when he feels he doesn't deserve it.

6. Do you have any OCs without stories? Will you ever create one for them?

Yuna, Asther, Elasha, and Haruka. Their Toyhouse bios aren't even filled in yet, because I don't know what to do. XD;

And yes, they will! I just have to get my ideas all together first.

7. What are your favourite relationships between your OCs? (romantic or platonic!)

Romantic, mainly because of the lack of love in my life. XD;

8. Do you have any OC family trees?

Oreana does have parents and 2 brothers—as well as an ancestor I can't get into because that's spoilery, and Ignatius has a twin brother.

9. Favourite OC?

It bounces from Oreana, Ignatius, to Demiurge.

10. OC you most struggled to make?

Ignatius. In fact, he went through a redesign about a year—er two years—ago. He originally was just going to look very much like a guy from YYH I loved but a naga, till I decided to make him more like an amalgamation of characters and ideas I loved. Doing that was so much so for the better. As I don't have to feel fixated on the one canon character to be fixated on him.

Fanfic questions:

11. * Sum up one or more of your wips!

Werewolf professor in a fantasy styled Victorian London looks to try and quell the fear over the werewolf curse. It's a commission so I can't really plop too much of it down.

12. Which story took the most research?

Anything from Assassin's Creed. Especially the Victorian London ones regarding brothels, tuberculosis, opium dens, and factories.

Don't get me started on the sex stuff... since that was considered 'prudish', it feels nearly lost to time.

13. Which story has the most lore?

Uuuh... A Love Most Profound and or The Demon King of the Desert, depending what you mean. Both spoke of their beliefs and even had rough outlines of their worlds.

14. Current word count of all your main wips?

I don't think I have any active yet since I'm on vacation.

15. How many projects do you have going on right now? Are there any that you doubt you’ll ever finish?

16. What was you first major project? How far along is it?

I guess The Devil's Contract would be considered that. And it's done now at 50 chapters. I was quite happy to have it finished.

17. What are some tropes and character dynamics found in your wips?

Slow burn, soulmates, and just romantic stuff.

18. Describe the setting of one or more of your wips

Horror fantasy of who is doing what and what is happening under the OC's nose, Victorian werewolf fantasy, and murder fantasy with a bit of reincarnation? I guess we'll say.

19. What are some things that inspired your stories? Real events? Maybe a dream?

Dreams more than anything, and if not those, anything I play or watch. Even The Demon King had elements of LOZ in it.

20. What story are you the proudest of? Why?

The Demon King of the Desert. It helped me come to terms with a bit more online trauma, and it seemed to touch a few folks. So I'm happy with it.

21. * When did you start considering yourself a writer/artist?

Artist, I always felt I was one. In fact, I was quite upset when I got online and people preferred my writing over my art. XD But I came to terms with it after awhile. Heck, I realize when I blend the two, people enjoy both.

Writing started to happen the more I wrote stories on websites, and folks came to love them or use them as a means to shoulder through a tough time in their life.

22. What are all the “kinds” of writing/art you do? (short stories, poetry, screenplays, digital, painting, clay, etc.)

I do short stories, poetry, digital art, traditional art too at some points—and sing as well as (kind of) play the piano.

23. Are you in any writer/artist groups? (Ex: discord server!)

Sadly, not really. I get nervous to spread my works to places I'm not comfortable in. But I've heard joining discord servers is a good idea.

24. Do you have/want a career in your medium? If not, what do you do/want to do instead? I would love to publish a book or do a comic of some sort. How I'll go about that, I have zero clue.

25. What’s your favourite genre to write? Is it also your favourite genre to read?

Fantasy and or romance. I prefer to read fantasy over reading romance. I only write romance because of the trauma in my life.

26. What are your favourite books?

The Maze Runner and The Last Unicorn.

27. What are your favourite movies?

The Last Unicorn,Watership Down, and now The Super Mario Brothers Movie (I've watched it like 4 times since I bought it lol).

28. Favourite songs at the moment?

Moonlight Shadow (original artist Mike Oldfield but any artist will do), The Secret of Monkey Island intro melody, and Tombi from Trigun.

29. What was your first fandom you were in? Did you make any art/fanfic for it?

Ronin Warriors, and yes, I wrote and drew for it but ALL that stuff is now archived and lost to time. Lol Well, only gone from the net, really. I still have it offline.

Water Magic **(similar to Azura from Fire Emblem) + Polynesian Taekwondo

Origin Similarities: Polynesian, Asia and Unspecified European Region *perhaps celtic??

Likes: Sigmund her Lover (Salamence), The two trainers who went on her adventures (I’ll introduce them soon, their base on Ruby and Sapphire though) Peace and Serenity, Harmony and Beautiful thoughts, her beauty (which she’s honestly and modestly proud of), Magical massages, manicure and pedicures, her proud vigorous and strong graceful legs which she use for kicks especially and Ocean Life.

Dislikes: Chaos, Insincere People, Her strict father King Raidos (Gyarados)**she still loves her father despite his strict personality, Lightning and Electric Base attacks, Her powerful gifted and strong but yet very fragile feet **She’s at her most despair when she feels this very severe pain.

When I was redesigning her I had to base her on Azura from Fire Emblem alot (since both are from Nintendo) and believe me designing her on my imaginative creative scope is very hard that I had to add additional details around.

and in a class she maybe base on princesses that are born in the hierarchy near the surfaces body of water, much like the legendary Atlanteans. 

Below are some of her early redesign sketches *** her personality is largely based three characters **including a 4th one maybe... Ah My Goddess- Belldandy, Lacus Clyne from Gundam Seed and Euphemia Li Britannia from Code Geass. the 4th one actually your stereotype Princesses of the Seas....

Overall she has a very gentle, warm, kind hearted and impartial loving attitude **even those who are wicked, she still shows kindness unless she’s harm she can without hesitate to attack her enemies when there’s no other options left. and without hesitation will always show courtesy **said to be gotten from her mother when she was young .

Describe by many as incredibly beautiful among many **including outsiders like Raid and Naiya. she is often the center of attraction among her kingdom, admiring even by her rivals and admirers for calling her bare body legendarily voluptuous from head to toe. And with a beautiful and non-benevolent personality she has, she is said to be very approachable in all ways around that she is very caring and open to all, regardless of whoever she faces. 

Besides that she’s also a pacifist, she values the lives and happiness of the people around her much more than her own, and always desires to make everybody happy no matter what the cost is to herself. **even sparing her foes on dire situations. While many see this part of her personality as being one of her more endearing qualities, it has also driven her to disregard her own feelings, thus making it difficult for her to voice her own thoughts when she believes it would cause strife for other people. As a result of this, she is easily upset and incredibly fragile when experiencing negative emotions. and with her position as a Princess of her Kingdom, she is willingly never hesitate to show charisma, strong will and determination in order for her to lead example for the sake of King Rydus (her father)’s people.

As much as her story goes besides the Kingdom around her and her strict father, She happens to be a priestess of her own, inherited from her mother. She vows herself to be always take courage and be kind no matter the cause as taught by her mother.

One day, while she was performing tradition priestess practices on her in a temple somewhere beneath their kingdom alone with her subordinates, she stumbles upon two lost human teenagers (at the age of 13, 14 or 15) who appear to be not from this world (maybe from another fantasy dimension based on their appearance). The guards never hesitate to take the two unworldly kids with them for the two are being mistaken as intruders to their kingdom but with Melody being compassionate of the two young warriors bids to her father’s wishes to spare them and understand their curent situation and to be part of their kingdom as a citizen in the meantime. In good results, she manages to free the two from capital punishment and imprison and thus making the two to be part of their kingdom as low rank civilians. Because of how humane the two show themselves in front of Melody and her kingdom, she easily became friends with the two and vows  to the two to seek for an adventure to send them back to their own worlds. 

**Those two kids are named Raid (male) and Naiya (female) I’ll introduce them soon should I find time on this.

As much as her concept goes, she’s willing to go for a battle when she’s left with no other options but to fight and defend. With her skillsets mentioned aboved she’s that of a keep away fighter who sometimes will use projectiles to blast foes away and shiver them with her water skills, she can also heal herself (Recover) and heal herself more with her wand equipped and on the other hand, if she’s then struggling with foes who go close on her, she is very luckily skillful at combat, and once she find a worthy opponent as or more powerful than she is on her current state, she will eventually show her hidden powerful trump card skills not often shown to the public eye, the strength and skills within her beautiful, graceful and powerful feet and legs (AQUA TAIL)

         she can also throw kicks at the same time cast water splashes that damages multiple foes around (This is the Pokemon move Surf), With her Surf+Aqua Tail Kick combination along side her polynesian taekwondo skills, she can perform a wide range of powerful kicks to sway foes away and the strength on the soles of her feet alone are capable of destroying granite and limestones at her fullest potential, even knocking out foes in one hit at their toughest moments. 

This is thanks to her gifted ability of the “Mythical Birth Mark” fragments she received on birth located on the two soles of her feet. Princess Melody calls this her own blessing and a curse, on the saddest drawback though when you received a mark like this, it’s also going to be your shared weakness as well. She is easily crippled should her legs, especially where her “Mythical Birth Mark” is located, sustain enough injuries she can faint with just one heavy damage direct towards her weakest yet very strongest feat and will be over for her should she gets careless herself on the battlefield. At one point, one electric human pokemon struck a THUNDER move directly towards the ground, and with the surface being too wet all in all and with both her feet planted on the ground, it directly struck her towards the mark knocking her out badly in just one move. This is where she easily shifts her attitude on dire situations to cry easily whenever she feels lost and despaired.

Also with her staff around, this is given by her Mother, an ancient artifact staff that allows her to access more into the power of water (like TMs/HMs) and increases her STABS on certain heights and being able to bend ease with surrounding water and gaining aquatic energies. This staff however is inherited on the priestess practices of her mother (who is also a Milotic) which is traditionally used for cultural and spiritual ceremonies.

That’s all I can say and introduce on this attractive princess for now. Also the fishes she owns on her kingdom around her are very  known to get allure from her and often kiss the soles of her feet for they also not admire her attractive body but more of her personality.

Later in the series early on, Raid gets separated from Naiya and Melody and thus the two search for him eventually meeting Blare, Aedris and Aeshi Company thus making allies and friend among the adventurers.

Hello I was wondering if you can look at this and see how I can improve it? (You don’t really have to.)

It was a redesign of a fairly old oc and now even the redesign is also kind of old.

Yeah, I totally get that, lol. Hi, Mod Bright here! There’s not a lot to actually cover here but I’ll try my best to give some good advice.

(Also, for future reference, please please please don’t add literally every single tag to the tags when submitting. :’) )

Let’s get to it!

Name: (unbroken) Coal Kat (broken) “She”

Is there any reason they don’t still refer to her as Coal Kat? Is it because people have forgotten her original name? 

Species: female cat

I don’t think you need to clarify that she’s a female cat, there’s not much of a difference between male and female cats anyhow. :P

If you wanna get specific, I’d say ‘Black Cat’ instead of ‘Female Cat’ because it’s more descriptive!

Original use: one of the drummers of an animatronic parade them band.

I’m assuming that means she was first in an animatronic parade, then in a band? You might wanna clarify this part! I think the concept is neat, though. :)

“History” : “She” was one of those animatronics that could go from pizza place to pizza place. It was one of those “experimental” type of bands, having double of the usual amounts of animatronics (which was 5, during the time it was made). 

Okay, pog. So let me rewrite this to see if I understand: “She” was an animatronic drummer built to be a part of an experimental traveling band, one which would visit various restaurants and had double the usual number of animatronics. During the time she was made, the usual number of animatronics per restaurant was 4-5 (so, kind of FNAF2-ish era?). Because of this, her band was very large, at about 8-10 members.

I hope this is about right! In general, I think this is a really cool concept, it just needs a little clarifying/elaborating on! I’d especially add a little bit about how they’re transported. Like, are they rented out to these different restaurants as special event characters? Do they just kinda show up when the company wants them to, without any fanfare? Did the kids enjoy them? I dunno, I think it would be neat to talk a little about how the parade/band was treated in their prime. 

It was also extremely expensive for not only the restaurants but also the company that made them as well. This caused them to scraped the idea with in a few months, getting rid of most of animatronics or using them for parts to make better ones. [This makes sense!] “She” was one of the few that still function to this day, well as a broken animatronic can function.

Why is “She” one of the few who still functions? From looking at the design, they definitely took some parts off of her (probably to repurpose). Or maybe she’s just deteriorating? Either way, another spot where you might wanna clarify what’s going on.

Finally, gonna give a little bit of design critique and suggestions while I’m here! 

Starting with compliments: I love what you’ve got going here, I’m not sure if it’s your art style for her to be drawn without a mouth but I think that’s really neat and kind of intriguing design-wise! Also, in general, I really love the textures you used for this piece- it looks really visually appealing, and with some more polish I think this could be a really cool way of stylizing your art. I also really like the idea of some of her suit parts being re-purposed but not the endoskeleton parts, I don’t know why though haha.

As for my nitpicks…Unless the drum strap is glued to the back of her neck, I don’t think it’s a good idea for the drum strap to be broken. …‘Cause like. It’ll just fall off like that from the drum’s weight. To fix this I’d either keep the strap itself intact or make it clear that the strap is somehow attached to her neck/the shoulders of her suit! 

I’m not going to comment any more on your art style because the art here is already very stylized and you’ve already said it’s an old piece, but I’d love to see some newer art of yours to see how you’ve improved!

Finally, here’s a kinda text-heavy redesign with some design ideas I got from typing all this up. Feel free to use or not! I don’t mind.

So here’s the thing, ever since I first drew Flower Child I’ve wanted to redraw them, their old pose was really bad and their design was kinda weak and just, blegh. Flash forward like, a year, or two or something, I got a commission of all my Overwatch OC’s from @teahermitcomics who helped redesign a couple of them, among them Flower Child. Flash forward to now and I’ve finally redrawn them in their new design... mostly. I went back to short hair because I kinda missed it and I’m super happy with their new haircut so, I stand by it!

This was a lot of fun to draw and colour, I had a blast reinterpreting Jade’s amazing design into my own style and figuring out what I wanted to do for their other skins.

Backstory:  Jinan spent many years working under their parents in the Ministry of Biology, studying plants of all kinds to create incredible medicines, their passion even leading to the nickname of Oasis’ resident “Flower Child”.

One fateful day, a gravely sick person was brought to Oasis in need of many varied treatments, inciting many whispers and rumours throughout the Ministries. Naturally Jinan’s curiosity was overwhelming, and even their parents were tight lipped over just who was being treated, and for what. A few favours traded in and a misplaced file reading “SB UNIT” later, and their curiosity had them do the only sensible thing; break in to where the person of interest was being kept to see for them self just what was going on.

What they found was a woman only a couple years older than themself, more than half cybernetics and seeming to be in the late stages of rejecting the foreign tech. Their relationship was rocky at first, each wary of, yet fascinated by the other, Jinan would visit her in secret at first, coaxing little bits of conversation out of her, learning her name - at least the name she’d given herself for lack of another - and as she got better, they walked together and learnt more and more as they spoke. Eventually wary fascination had become friendship, then something more, and finally love.

Now 5 years later, SB Al-Karim is Jinan’s utterly beloved wife, but the state of the world troubles her deeply and keeps her awake through the night. With little more than a second thought, Jinan packed their bags and the pair set off to fix the world on the front-lines, to fight side by side with their love and right the world themself; and with the help of some new-old vigilantes...

Oh boy oh boy oh boy!

So, while I’ve got half a billion OCs by technicality, my main idiot is Azaryne Redoran who takes the role of the Vestige in the ESO story I write with @sinnaroll by the name of Soulbound. (Ima also just casually pass on these questions for her to answer in reply for D'tannen, who is the other main character in this thingy so you can get to know him too!)

1. What is/are your OC’s nickname(s) and how did it come about?

Az’s main nickname is the self-explanatory name shortening from “Azaryne” to “Az”. But D'tannen has kinda stuck on jabbing him with “pretty boy” to the point where it’s basically a nickname lol 

Also, in-game plot reasons dictate that the Five Companions also know him by “Vestige”, much to his dismay. It’s what the Scrolls named him by, so the Prophet tends to slip and refer to him that way, and the others kinda do too by proxy for a while. However, after Az makes it clear that he’s really uncomfortable with it, Lyris and Sai specifically make a point not to call him that.

4. What is a noticeable physical attribute of your OC?

So I memed twice earlier before I got to these questions lasdgkh gomen, but my goofier answers are Dorito Shape and Resting Trouble Face

But more seriously, one of his major notable physical features is that he’s pretty much covered in tattoos from his neck down past his waist and starting down his legs. They’re being redesigned from scratch right now because I can’t ever allow myself to have characters that can be adequately represented in game i guess lmfao but here’s the in-game tattoos with some photo-editing for an earlier visual draft on where they might cut off—

It’s a total personal headcanon but I decided that since the in-game body marking style was pretty clearly influenced by Maori-style kiriituhi, that Az’s tattoos are also highly significant in a similar way. Each piece symbolizes or connects to either his ancestry, or his own life and skills and milestones. His designs weren’t finished, but have the indication of where they were meant to continue as he hit new points in his life. Unfortunately, since his life was cut so short, that’s as far as they ever get.

On a lighter note, he also has pretty big ears?? Lmao

5. What does your OC normally wear? What would your OC wear on a special night?

He likes clothes that are comfortable but flattering. He knows what his assets are and enjoys looking well-dressed – a bit of a remnant from his previous life as a noble. 

He tends to favor sleeveless tops and cool-colored fabrics with neutral accents. He particularly likes blues of all shades, and some purples. He’ll also occasionally wear red. On his travels he wears leather armor that fits within these features, and notably has a Khajiiti-style jack because he liked the aesthetic of it when he saw the style in a tailor’s display. 

When he’s dressing up, he’ll wear more flowing robe-like attire. He had more reason to do so while he was alive, and at the time it was usually specifically Dunmeri cultural clothing. Over the course of Soulbound, he only dresses up the once so far for a date with Sinna. That takes place in Orsinium, so it’s Orcish formal wear. 

Even if the situation’s not a fancy one, though, he’ll usually still wear kohl eyeshadow, which D’tannen gives him shit for, of course lol.

8. How does your OC talk/what does your OC’s voice sound like?

Az’s voice is light, crisp, warm and friendly. It’s between tenor and baritone in range, and the expected Dunmeri accent. He’s well spoken, and you can tell he’s well educated, but his phrasing isn’t snobbish or condescending, and there’s a firm sort of sincerity to his speech, even when he’s being playful.

15. What was your OC’s childhood like?

Az’s childhood was a little complicated in that it came with a great deal of privilege, but also a great deal of expectation. He was noble-born— the eldest son of House Redoran’s Archmaster— so before he was even old enough to have an awareness of the world, his parents had already decided many things about his future. 

In spite of both this and the constant pressure of the Redoran philosophy that “a light, careless life is not worth living”, Az had an untamable spirit that continuously tried his parents’ patience. As a child, his impulsivity, tendency to bend the rules, and headstrong defiance on points he fundamentally disagreed with led to frequent discipline, and a particularly strained relationship with his father.

Over time, he begrudgingly learned to play by the rules, but would still disappear from time to time for brief moments of freedom. 

He had two younger siblings— Eralane and Meril, and they had very close and loving relationships with each other. Az always did his bes to see right by them, so they felt safe in knowing that he would always have their backs. They didn’t ever keep much from him, as a result, and Meril specifically often looked up to him as a role model.

By the time he was fourteen, he’d been arranged into a political betrothal to solidify clan relations within the House, and it was decided that the two would be married in 16 years when they were both fully grown adults. Neither he nor his intended fiancée were really comfortable with this, but even as young as they were, they knew it was a sticky situation far bigger than just the two of them. So, they quickly established that, future aside, they didn’t feel entitled to each other’s feelings. They would both rather have a straightforward, honest friendship than try to force things between them. 

Because of this, there was no tension when other chemistries developed in later years. Instead, they continued to ignore their inevitable marriage, and turned their performative date nights into formally-dressed vent and gossip sessions. Using the expectations put upon them to their advantage as they got older, they also happily became each other’s alibi when either of them needed time away with other people.

22. Who is/are your OC’s closest friend(s)?

Since arriving back on Tamriel, he’s been shuffling company a lot on his journeys. He’s also pretty introverted, despite being fairly socially adept. He doesn’t have any real connections from his previous life anymore, but has met many people and made casual friends and positive acquaintances with a solid chunk of new ones.

In terms of more serious friendships, D’tannen is honestly the closest, which is kind of incredible honestly laksdhg. But, they travel with each other day in and day out, so there’s a tight bond there that’s developing fast.

He’s also particularly attached to Irvane, who was his first friend since coming back to Nirn.

23. Who are the people your OC surrounds him/herself with?

Along the same lines as I just said above, he’s never in one place for very long right now, so he is constantly around new people. His kind heart and need for hands-on activity means he tends to gravitate toward people he can help in some way or another. His empathy and sense of honor do most of the weeding. He’d rather be around someone who has shown good intentions, even if they are rough around the edges, than someone who rests on the laurels of past deeds and judges others against themselves.

24. Who are the people your OC dislikes/hates?

It’s pretty damn hard to make this list, at least if you have any sort of good bone in your body. He’s really very empathetic and patient, and will forgive so quickly once he feels amends have been made that it’s honestly gotten him into trouble.

But, even with that said, he’s got some strong resentments for some strong reasons… Notably: Mannimarco and his Worm Cult, ol’ Molag Bal himself, and pretty much anyone who allies with them… Malacus is another name that quickly finds its way on the list under “kill unflinchingly” as he becomes closer with D’tannen.  

25. If your OC has a soulmate, who is it?

oh my god im so sorry this joke is just right here its too easy to grab i can’t help myself ��

33. What subjects interested your OC?

He’s always done whittling as a hobby, so he’s currently kinda advancing on that in woodcarving. Since he was also trained in maintaining and repairing his own weapons and armor in life, that’s carried over into an interest in actually crafting weapons on his own. He does wind up making his own bow way later on, and even spends a bit of time with the Morkul Orcs in the Orsinium arc learning to do some metalwork.

42. What makes your OC happy?

He’s very attached to his dog Blackjack, and the mutt can always seem to pick him up when he’s otherwise faltering. He loves whittling and tends to carve little objects to occupy his mind. Complicatedly, D’tannen makes him happy as well, lol. 

He also tends to have moments where he finds happiness in specific things, but the emotion related feels strange or misplaced. When this happens, it’s usually because whatever he’s experiencing— a particular sight or smell or flavor— is something that ties directly to a positive memory he’s lost from his life before. A sort of unwitting-nostalgia that’s hard to pinpoint or replicate.

As a general rule, he’s pretty easily contented. He lives very much in the moment, which combined with his adaptability and natural optimism, means that he’s usually able to find some small spark of cheer for himself anywhere he goes. He’s always wanted the freedom of life as an adventurer, so if circumstances were different, this would honestly be an ideal life for him. However, it’s pretty dampened by the stress of current events, along with the nagging restless and hollow feeling of having lost his soul.

50. What secrets does your OC have?

This is a bit of a tricky one. He’s not a super open person, but he also doesn’t like to lie to cover things up. However, there are many things about his life at present that he finds he has to dance around giving knowledge of. In some ways, the very nature of his current existence is something he keeps tucked away. It’s not very easy to explain to anyone, so he’s grateful that for the majority of the people he interacts with, direct questions never really come up.

In the second act of Soulbound, however, after he becomes very close with Sinna, Sinna asks him directly for his story. He dodges it for quite some time before finally giving him the details, but he’s kind of nervous at that point to state it. He doesn’t know how Sinna might react. But, he lays it out on the table anyway: He’s not truly alive. He’s what remained of himself after he was sacrificed by cultists to Molag Bal. His soul was stolen, and he has only vague pieces of memories from when he lived. And now, he’s been prophesied to assist in stopping a daedric invasion. 

Sinna’s response was heartfelt. But, nobody could blame him for the fact that all he could manage for a brief moment after listening was “Wild….”

54. Does your OC think with his/her head or heart?

Heart… His upbringing tried its best to instill an ability to detach for the sake of duty, but honestly, he’s never been able to. Even when he knows there’s no way he can avoid a difficult situation, and is able to approach it tactically, emotion will be gnawing at him all the while, and he’ll be completely staunch on the things he believes the most if those interfere with the “logical” course of action.

56. What are some of your OC’s strengths?

He’s honestly got a wide range of skills in a lot of ways. He’s a highly skilled archer, and has a very well-rounded set of combat and survival skills that have been hardwired into him since a very young age. He’s also got a great sense of aesthetics, which he likes to express in woodworking and whittling when he can. He’s intelligent, but a lot of his skill specifically in emotional/social intelligence comes from his powerful empathy, and how dramatic swings of circumstances in his life have given him many perspectives to draw from, even subconsciously through the massive amnesia he struggles with. He’s incredibly adaptable. He’s intensely loyal, courageous, and firmly optimistic even through the worst circumstances. He’s got an incredibly strong character to him, and it tends to be both charming and inspiring, even when he doesn’t recognize that he’s producing these effects himself.

61. What is the general impression your OC gives other people?

Honest. Empathetic and selfless. Good-natured, down to earth, and a bit wild-spirited. Patient, incredibly forgiving. Helpful. Playfully charming. A protector. A defender of good.

73. What is your OC’s favorite form of entertainment?

He likes art, stories, nature, animals, and adventure. Crafting from time to time as well.

Late morning. The point in the day when you’re up and awake and setting off. The whole day lies in wait before you, and you’re ready to meet it

rant on fandoms

ok so i've been seeing this alot and i gotta say fandoms have been geting a fuck ton worse and always get worse in the fucking long run. here are some of my points in each fandom i was or am in 

1. homestuck fandom 

now when i was a teen my old friend/cyber bully got me into homestuck and for a while i thought it was cool but then loads of people started to yell at me for getting a freaking name wrong just because i say it differently so this is one thing in fandoms that fucking happens a lot like oh how dare you have names said wrong bleh bleh bleh. 

next is the shipping and in this fandom there is one character that does ships that people have bullied me over the damn name of this character. this entire comic is shipping. and loads of people screech at you for a bad ship when shipping is just stupid as fuck. 

another thing is the tumblering where every fucking artist has to draw the characters in this stupid tumblr appropriate style like oh how dare this character be this when it should be this. like no set characters are set in a way because that's how the creator made it. now i'm all for creativity and shit like that. but when you just go full on tumblr all your doing that for is not for your own doing but to get noticed by everyone else like look how great i am. 

2. fnaf fandom 

so i use to be in the fnaf fandom along time ago and for a while it was cool great art great people but then came the people who started to bully an artist because they just got tired of drawing fnaf and wanted to do something fucking different. and was there in bullied out of the fucking community. 

i also got bullied out of this community not because of my art but because of my old guilt tripping rps and shit to which i say that's fine but does that warrant cyber bullying out of a fandom no it does not. which is why i left that fandom fucking bullies everywhere because of drawing shit and other stuff but i still kept one friend from that fandom who was with me through it all.

3. hazbin hotel fandom 

now i'm still in this fandom mainly because the friends i have made in it has kept me sane yet the fandom in itself is becoming more shity by the fucking day here is why

the fucking old vivziepop drama popping up to everyone in the fandom mainly by people who choose to think everything she has drawing since 2009 is a real thing to which most of the nicer fans have debunked and i myself have debunked. now you might be saying but crow mom that's not a real source well in the case of the comic she use to draw gustave even fucking stated he was a teacher's assistant there for just fresh out of fucking high school. same with fucking addison these kids are all in their last year of high school. as for addison and the whole snake thing people at the age of 16 or so on are allowed to fucking explore shit they like. his fucking mother is a damn naga so there in ya of course he would like snakes his mother is half snake.  another thing i've seen is people screeching at her for fucking stoping the comic and redesigning it like come on artists can grow and learn other things and realize shit they do. which is why i'm proud of her to be re doing this shit to show hay i'm learning and doing better. 

as for liking other artists and drawing them art for people who have bad views she was back then a teen/adult herself so ya she made stupid choices does that mean you have to rune everything she has no it does not i mean fuck me she made hazbin hotel as different as it use to be because she wanted more diverse things and more tumblr correct shit. and yet you people still find ways to peg her down and the fans. ( key note hazbin hotel is in hell everyone is fucking shit because it's hell hell is a bad place) i only had one run in with a vivziepop hater and i even made a fucking meme incase that person ever shows up again. now for helluva boss so far i have yet to see any hate but my friend running a loona blog did and it was for the shittest reason all because some stupid korean popstar has the same fucking name they tell them “ get out furry trash” like oh people and or characters can't have the same name so now you have to bully others because they are associated with that same name. fuck no get off your korean pop star loving ass and stop.  oh ya i also ran in with another i think viv hater for screeching at me that i suppose beastiality, rape and other shit all because i am a freaking cat demon oc which is mainly anthro which is mostly animal on fucking animal most of the times in my ocs which is not fucking beastiality. this person just wanted to have a cheep ass shot at me to leave the fandom. ( fun fact the most of the hate from this fandom were a bunch of feminists oh noooo guys tumblr feminists are after me) 

4. mlp fandom here we go i use to be in this fandom but i got tired of it once i began to watch drama videos on it and i gotta say there was a fuck ton of pedos in this fucking comunity and i just did not want to deal with it. as well as artist neigh sayers who were like how dare you use bases and how dare you use a 3d mlp maker because its not your own art. and the biggest fuck was when i use to post mlp a fuck ton on my da and this one person was like oh that pony would look great in a diaper yum yum slurp” and that's what broke me i just cant deal with that shit. people in the mlp fandom are fucked up. another thing is i am friends with the biggest mlp nsfw fucker in the universe who had a fucking drama video  made on him. and i gotta say this he is an annoyance at best all he wants is nsfw rps.

Here’s my first draft of my Sally Face OC! I’m still figuring out her actual name, but she’s referred to as ‘Teddy’ because of her mask for now. I’ll be changing it because it’s kinda stupid and makes no sense.

Her backstory is very long and I have like so many ideas. I just need to take time to write it and I know you guys would love it!

This is one of my first completed designs of my sally face OC. Its an old piece ha. This isn’t her final design of course, I really need to change her design a lot. I wish to fix her to fit better into the game, as in, to make her seem like a character that would be in the game. However! It was just a fun design to finish and experiment with shading! I’m quite proud with it despite my unhappiness with the character itself. This is the only character I’ve designed ( as well as planning on redesigning more) and felt proud on posting them publicly! I absolutely love Sally Face, and reading into the History of Sally Face is just amazing! I really recommend looking at his behind the scenes video on YouTube! It’s freaking amazing! And Thank you so much Steve for all your hard work and everything you do! Keep up the amazing work!

She was originally going to be a tenant at Addison Apartment, but I decided against. She wears the mask for fashion purposes and it’s a special clothing for her. (This will more than likely change.) Her original background story is kinda too cheesy for my liking. Her horns and eyes are because she’s a demon (I got the backstory planned) however, she was once human. She’s not associated with the gang, or talks to them comfortably until a later time. (Which I plan on possibly ditching this idea and put a new idea I’m thinking of to use.) A: Yep! Though, I’ll be changing her appearance a lot more. To make it for horror like and not just some cutesy anime girl with horns.

Q: Is she shipped with anyone?

A: Originally yes, but I decided against that. I don’t like building my character just for the sole purpose of being in a relationship with another character. However, in their stories, they will have their own little adventures with the gang and experiences with each character. It’s the audience’s choice who to ship my character with.

Note: ‘Teddy’ isn’t shipped with anyone really. She’ll think someone is attractive, but it wouldn’t be canon. (Is that the right term? As in, it wouldn’t really be an actual thing). Her official backstory will explain it more.

However, I might draw ship art in the future once comfortable.

Q: When’s the final design?

A: The final design will be established when I create a character that suites the game better and I’m happy with the design. I’ll also make a sally face art style version, animate my own scenerios, and possibly make a comic.

Soooo. Yeah. Ahem. This might be a long post but I’m gonna just put a read more after a point.

I redesigned an OC from last year. And this is a major change (I have her old design in one of my art dumps). And it isn’t just that, I did more for her in both writing and character development. I also have more art stuff I did on her past self but gonna put that as a separate post.

Anyhow, this is Mad Jack, the Wild Dog. My Dying Light 30-year-old-plus crazy  OC with a sorta like Chloe Frazer, Rachel from Animorphs and Junkrat mash personality, I created for my fanfic, The Descent.

And you can see a year between different styles, levels of art and all that. So I wanna say that no matter how many years, you’ll get even better. You’ll learn new tricks and techniques, new things every day by keeping at your passion. You’ll get better. Any form you did whether simple, stick-man, anything is still a good art because you’re doing it - you’re not stopping because someone says it’s bad, you’re doing it for yourself. And you keep going and seeing the improvements that prove those people, you can create something awesome. 

So keep drawing. There’s absolutely no stopping, not even for me. I’m still going to improve myself.

SOOOO, the story behind this character creation. I really enjoy Dying Light and I wish the best and all for Techland on their release with Dying Light 2 (and PLEASE GOD BRING THE BROTHER TWINS BACK so that my friend can go “shiiiiit!” X’D I really mean it! He hates them! AHAHAHAHA) and the Following. It was thanks to the ending that got me to start a writing about what happens to Kyle Crane days after the ending. Which means he becomes a sentient zombie in the fic.

What got me into making Mad Jack was two things: one is I realized Crane would need a middleman because you know, he would kill people uncontrollably (and that person needs to be mad enough to even stick with infected Crane) and two, three characters in Dying Light got me thinking of Jack as a common person between them. 

So yeah. Fic’s summary is Crane’s back, he meets an ex-kickboxer from the Outskirts of Harran in the middle of a city named Scanderoon and he learns she and a group called the Ravs are trying to find out why the virus recently spiked up with new mutations, affecting the zombies and the survivors, in hopes that the virus isn’t adapting too fast for a cure to beat it. 

Now the read-more cuz I don’t want you ppl seeing me as a rambling idiot.

Alright. Let’s get to the meat. So for one, when I first thought of the fic, I was thinking Crane is, of course, the main protagonist but with a few elements: he’s kinda like the Mother (sorta, I need to make his character design now lol) but as a Night Hunter sort and would still be himself. His character development would be on the verge of struggle and insanity between himself and his other self. So I couldn’t see himself being able to fully control himself without someone helping him, regardless how strong his willpower is after going through everything. So he needed someone to keep him in his grips. Jack in my fic is sorta of a red-herring first protagonist but is actually a  deuteragonist.

There’s also another point that I wanted to tackle his struggles from the main game, that meeting someone who knew the people he met and learning they’re gone would be the ultimate, powerful and bittersweet development for him. Which is about the three persons I said earlier that is what I based around for Jack.

So the three people were Harris Brecken, Jade and Rahim Aldemir. When I first played the game, I always found it strange how protective Brecken was to both of them which made me wonder if they had a backstory before the outbreak. Sure, many could say, Rahim was one of Brecken’s students or Rais was after the Scorpion before Crane came into the picture. A lot of theories anyone of us could think of. I still felt like there was someone in their lives that crossed paths. The first person I went brainstorming more on was Jade and her kickboxing career.

I made Jack, aka Mad Jack, as Jade’s previous rival and opponent for the last martial arts championship. The Scorpion versus the Wild Dog. The professional 3-year world champion versus the rising star until Jade won and Jack retired. And since their first meeting, the two kids have been friends with her with Jack being that kinda guardian looking out for them. I made Harris be, surprisingly, Jack as that unwanted cousin who you both love and hate a lot. Cough. But with whatever happened to all of them in the past gave me a better structure of why Brecken would care more about the kids if they knew someone who cared about them. Not directly but enough that Brecken wouldn’t tell his cousin they’re gone.

An incident did also cause a bit of friction from Jade’s victory, and that’s something I’ll reveal in my fic later on. And it also did change Jack a lot. The current Jack is more ballistic, unhinged, daring, hungry for a fight and uh...kinda scary the more I describe her now that I think of it. She’s still a good person (sorta) who helps those in need because she’s used to it before, being a legend that inspired people in the past. I even had a small idea that she sings a lullaby to calm the Screamers or infected children before killing them. She thinks of wild ideas that don’t often go the way she wants, a trait Rahim picked up, which is what made him decide to blow up the nest. Go Wild or don’t, which is one thing why those two connected well in the past. Jack’s an unlikely character on the search for why the virus had a kickstarter and being Crane’s hired wingman. 

Moreover, it’s a slow trust building between these two. Jack’s philosophy is sorta kinda like Rais and Crane can see that in her. There are also secrets she has that will put that trust to the test but it won’t just be her but Crane testing that trust with his own sins.

What makes this fic so interesting to me the more I write isn’t just Crane’s constant regret that he has to work with this loony woman in a desperate hope of finding that cure and the funny banter development between a sane zombie and a crazy human but the fact Crane’s past will catch up to him and Jack will learn about Jade and Rahim’s fates. And it’s not just Jack herself but others he’ll learn had some connection to someone in Harran. And that moment he can’t keep the lies in anymore and has to tell Jack the truth, that will be something powerful and heartbreaking - that he met a person who knew them and has to give the grim news they’re gone. Because no one had told Jack yet. What’s more, this will reflect on Jack too - that her influence on the two kids was what got them killed like her way of thinking in going big for Rahim and her philosophy in kickboxing got Jade to sacrifice herself.

From there, well, there’s more I have up my sleeve. And hopefully not break these two in the process. :Y

I made Jack for a long of reasons but the one main thing is, I realized after everything Crane’s gone, he really needed someone, an emotional pillar of support for sure. And he hasn’t had that the entire time in Dying Light or the Following - everyone sought him as a hero and never questioned it. Which...I kinda thought was a little sad. So yeah, I made Mad Jack - someone who had fallen from grace and accepted her current self, be that dog of Harran who fully takes in the fact the whole world has gone to hell and has pulled off the chains. Jack’s history, which some parts I won’t go into details, sorta reflects his that she had done a lot and sacrificed a lot before and during the outbreak came. And with Crane being stuck as a monster for good with moments of losing his shit, he’d need support a lot more than ever. The same goes for Jack with her own problems to deal with that Crane decides to help her like he has always done for people in the main game. And how this will all end, I dunno. I know exactly what might be a fitting end for Jack but how all of this will end, that’s something I’m going to have to see towards the end and how Crane would rise back from his descent thanks to Jack. Whether good or bad.

And there you go, Mad Jack. She really had a huge development based on so many people, as well as Crane himself. And I really enjoy pushing that development further into her, to see how far her trials go on her moral and psyche.

Yo buddy! 19. Introduce an OC that means a lot to you (and explain why)

I am so so sorry for the length of this post. I got carried away :S

Man, I actually spent like 30 minutes thinking about this answer and right off the bat I wanna say that all of my OCs are super important. Yeah, a pretty standard dad answer but I’ve put a lot of dedication and time into them all. I wanna make them as equally important and valid whether they are op or just fraguile. Not to mention that with LC I really wanna be as extremely inclusive with my OCs as humanly possible. It’s fun, challenging and incredibly scary (my number 1 fear is fucking up and doing something offensive).

However, I’m gonna go with Jelani. Yes, I talk a lot about him, Angelus, Loke and Ginger but they’re my most developed OCs and the easiest to just talk about for hours. And honestly I have a soft spot for all four of them. There aren’t any “main character(s)” in LC but these four are as close as you can get.But anyway…Jelani. Why? I’m gonna go outright and say that all LC characters have been around since I was 14 years old when I first took up writing. I cannot for the life of me remember what his original name was and the character he used to be back then was a hell of a lot different than what he is today. As embarrassing as it is to admit to he was the “token black character” with barely any development and barely any roles and just thinking about that makes me wanna slap the shit out of 14 year old me. He was a massive idiot and didn’t know shit about character development.

So the character was in a box for years. Then 2005 came along, with a massive dose of depression and a shit ton of other things which caused me to stop writing LC and I just got rid of it and got rid of every character except for Angelus for VERY personal reasons. Lo and behold in 2006 I met my boyfriend and as corny as it sounds he helped me wave off that bad time in my life and I started doing the things I used to enjoy again. One of which was picking up LC and starting from scratch. This time the character development was slightly better but not by much. From the very start “important” characters were loosely based on important people in my life so I continued that trend but made it far less obvious. I redesigned Jelani and loosely based him off my boyfriend. Over time and the more I’ve developed Jelani the similarities have dwindled and pretty much the only things they have in common now is that they’re both metalheads and are male lol

Around that time he did have blue eyes and was lighter skinned and wasn’t powerful. But I wanted to keep working on him and wanted to make him something unique and different since I had an overload of werewolf and vampire characters. I also changed his skin color to a much darker tone. Correct me if I’m wrong but you seldom see dark skinned characters that are powerful and are not evil. I’m not saying Jelani is a saint, he’s made a lot of wrong choices but he’s not evil. So I turned to one of my favorite subjects: mythology (in this case some sort of based around Christian mythology since it’s the only one I sort of know a little bit about). Pretty much ended with a super powerful character that borderlined on useless. With the snap of his fingers any and all problems could be solved and that was boring and as my boyfriend pointed out, “It’s fun to have very powerful characters but if you wanna use him you kinda need to balance him out.” Been working on that ever since. And I’m currently satisfied.

As he is now Jelani is still my most powerful OC especially after his story arc but there are a ton of restrictions on him. He is what in LC are known as Makers or “Gods to the Gods”. Long story short he and a few other deities were involved in some really bad mess which caused a massive war and the deaths of millions of “celestial beings” and the Maker that ascended Jelani (back then he was named Caine) properly punished him and those involved.

So now a second war broke out and it nearly destroyed the Earth. Sick and tired of trying to kill off his 8 compatriots-turned-enemies he destroyed his physical self and sent off his soul/energy/whatever you wanna call it into the cosmos to then later come back and kill off the remaining enemy deity. Ironic since he is the god of reinvention and reincarnation. Thing is this plan backfired. Horribly. While suspended he sort of fell into a coma and didn’t awaken until eons and eons later and was then “reincarnated” to the version you currently know. In his absence the enemy deity, who is a massive dickhead, that started the mess took over Jelani’s realm (Engh'Nia) and role and completely threw everything off balance. I’ll probably explain later if anyone wants to know.

That enemy deity sat comfortably on the throne thinking Jelani was dead but only a Maker can kill another Maker so…yeah.

Now in 870 C.E. he is born to Earth realm beings known as Berserkers and is named Jelani and has no recollection of his previous life and what he really is. However he always sort of felt outta place. No, I didn’t want him to feel out of place because of what he and his mother (at the time the only two black characters living in that village) look like. He and Sanaa (Jelani and Loke’s mom) are very loved, accepted and treated as well as the rest of the family. Sanaa dedicated as much time to teaching him, and Loke as well, of her side of the family. Ingvarr (Jelani and Loke’s dad) and the other side of the family also learned with the boys.

What I meant by out of place is that he should’ve been born a Berserker since Sanaa and Ingvarr are both Berserkers but he wasn’t. They thought he was but turns out he wasn’t. He always had weird dreams that made absolutely no sense at all yet always left him mentally and emotionally exhausted, he had certain abilities that neither side of the family had ever seen before. He could conjure a weapon but unlike Berserkers he could only summon one and couldn’t conjure any armor. He has the ability to whisper into anyone’s ear and force them against their will to do whatever he commanded. Thing is that no one knew what language it was that he whispered, wasn’t Old Norse and it wasn’t Swahili either. He also recovers from any and all kinds of injuries quickly. One day of rest is enough to heal small injuries while bigger injuries take 3 to 5 days without leaving any scars. The complete opposite of Berserkers. His eyes also changed to a bright red. When conjuring weapons and armors Berserker’s eyes glow in their natural eye color, they don’t change colors. Everybody just thought it was a product of Jelani being mixed.

His grandfather, Håkon, didn’t think it was because Jelani was mixed, he thought that maybe he was something more and encouraged him to explore those differences and develop them. Ever since then he’s been trying to figure out what the hell he actually is. He eventually finds out the truth.That enemy deity that was left had found out Jelani was alive and didn’t remember anything so he tried to have him killed without exposing himself to him in case it would jump start his memory. Even if he’d stand in fro t of him he wouldn’t remember. Before destroying his physical self he’d made certain fail saves. Jelani had about 3% of his original power tucked away but it could only be activated if he was in immense danger or in some cases if his panic level reached extreme levels which happened twice, once when Loke was in grave danger and the other when Loke died. That first time, he was about 8 years old, he had managed to change into his “real” form to get Loke to safety but he had no control over his actions and after it was over he didn’t remember what happened but Loke saw everything. Didn’t scare him and he didn’t treat him differently after that.

The second time was when Loke died and he just lost it. He sort of changed physically but he wasn’t in control either. The result was that he destroyed an entire area, basically killed everything within a 5 mile radius in his panic in a fission bomb style. He then tapped into more reserves of his abilities and restored everything as well as ressurecting Loke. This time more people saw what he could do. Another fail safe his old self did was trap one of his enemies with the rest of the 97% of his abilities into an old tree he himself had created. If the deity wanted to be set free they just needed to give him back what he told them to hold on to. Like I said, in the arc he recovers everything but he didn’t want to go to the realm since he had another life on Earth that he preferred. The Maker that ascended Jelani took charge of the realm AFTER Jelani fixed it, which took almost a year. If he ever wants to go back he’d be free to do so. He still carries the weight and authority of a Maker and is recognized as so by celestial beings and those few mortals that know. Same for those who allied themselves with Jelani. However, his abilities are down to 3% to keep things balanced and tbh an op character that could just snap their fingers and solve everything doesn’t feel like a good challenge or even fun.

Thing about Jelani is that as I developed him I also developed a lot of OCs and made a lot of world building decisions that made LC a lot more complex and fun to work with. Loke was supposed to have permanently died just to fuck with Jelani, cause him more pain and grief, make the antagonist even more of a dickhead and make Jelani question and doubt himself even more but I scrapped leaving Loke dead permanently since I kept developing him as well and wanted them to have a very friendly, loving and healthy sibling relationship. Honestly I am so sick of the “brother against brother” trope. You have no idea! I’m still trying to work in some things with him and am even still trying to come up with a design of his “true” form that I really like.

Not to mention that this character has also positively influenced other characters as well. In short I just freaking love Jelani so freaking much and I could talk more about him but this post is already really long and I’m so sorry about that lol
