How can I not love deeply
When regardless of where we come from
What we belive or
When we tread the earth
There have always been stories of a greater love
Dwynwen wished for lovers to love free when this had been forbidden for her
Aset searched the nile for usir to put her love back together
Demter could no longer work when her daughter couldn't be in her arms
All around me I see is love folklore in the making
I tell pepole about the gods and saints
But I tell them about my loved ones too
Who fight for their loves
In a more mundane but still powerful way
Mortal,God or Saint
We bleed love
We exhale love
Any existence is love

Egyptian Gods face study
Fun fact: I base a lot of the faces of the Egyptian gods on statues of ancient Egyptian royalty. Isis is based on a bust of Nefertiti and Osiris is based on a statue of Djoser.

Nebet-hut, goddess of darkness and mourning
If there’s one goddess who feels like she’s drawn the short stick in the bunch, it’s Nebet-hut. While she’s undoubtedly part of a quartet of siblings that play some of the biggest roles in Kemet’s divine sphere, Nebet-hut is often left feeling like an afterthought tacked on to balance Sutekh. If he didn’t exist, would she, when she was the last one born and everyone comes in balanced pairs?
Her relationship with her sister, Aset, has always been complicated. She loves her sister, but can’t help but feel like everyone—from their parents to their worshippers—consider her like an extension of Aset. Aset is more important, more powerful, the queen. What is Nebet-hut but a shadow of her sister? How does a goddess make an identity for herself when she’s always envisioned as a double to Aset? Nebet-hut is forever entangled in trying to figure out what she wants out of her existence, independent of what Aset or their brother Usire needs.
And then there’s Sutekh. Good grief, she did not want to be married to him. Not only is Nebet-hut not attracted to him, but she resents the fact that yet another aspect of her independence and identity has been ripped from her. If she’s not Aset’s Sister, then she’s Sutekh’s Wife. Why can’t she be herself? To make matters worse, Nebet-hut has figured out one thing she wants out of life—she wants to be a motherand Sutekh is infertile and cannot even give her that. It adds yet another layer of frustration and anger on top of everything else.
Nebet-hut already feels like goddesses play second sistrum to gods. She sees the pain and struggle that Aset goes through, trying to earn respect for her position as queen despite what feels like the world working against her. And Nebet-hut will always support her in that endeavor. But Aset doesn’t seem to comprehend how truly invisible Nebet-hut is to the world when not linked to one of her siblings, and Nebet-hut honestly wishes she would.
Highlights of her life include:
- Nebet-hut has generally tried to play the role she was forced into without complaint, as she was socialized to do so, but when Sutekh couldn’t make her a mother she took matters into her own hands. Nebet-hut, though she feels bad about stepping outside her marriage to try to conceive children, has figured out that no one is going to give her what she wants or needs out of life; only she can do that for herself.
- She has a strong relationship with her mother, Nut, stronger than Aset has, which is one of the few things Nebet-hut has over Aset. And it’s sad that she has to silently compete over something like that to boost her self-esteem, but it is what it is.
- In her efforts to achieve her own independence and shape her life independently of her siblings, she has actually found herself to be quite fond of Sokar. The two have a good affinity with each other. Her relationships with the Duat gods in general is far healthier than her other siblings, and she cares deeply for the deceased mortals that pass through Duat itself. It does seem that if ever there was a time that Kemet considered a Queen of the Underworld like Sumer has, she would be the best option. A Kemetic Ereškigal, anyone? Maybe? Perhaps? It would be nice…

Consciously trying to decolonize the Kemetic aspects of my practice. Right now, it's rewiring my brain to use the Egyptian/Kemetic names of my deities instead of the ones the Greeks gave them.
This is something I've debated back and forth for awhile and have asked my deities if this is something they'd prefer. I never got an answer either way, so I took it to mean they didn't care.
Recently however, I've come to understand that using their original Egyptian names is less about doing it because THEY want me to and more about doing it because it is something I want to do to honor them.
Isis (Gr) - Auset/Aset/Iset (K)
Osiris (Gr) - Ausar/Usir/Wesir (K)
Seth (Gr) - Set/Sutekh (K)
Intention is everything. Names are important and carry their own magic.
Dua Auset! Dua Ausar! Dua Set!

Okay so basically in one of the mythology books I have, the Egyptian gods have bodies made of crystals like lapis lazuli and stuff like that. Osiris/Usir used to have normal person skin before he straight up died, got brought back to life for one night, walked into the Nile, and had his skin turn green while he was doing his fish impression. At one point, Nephthys/Nebet Hut wanted a baby but knew Set didn't want one, so she slept with Set, Osiris, and Ra around the same time to make Anubis. 1/?
Tehuti/Thoth is just straight up Ra's tongue that decided to go off and do its own thing. Isis/Aset is the most Chaotic Protective Mom there was. There were two Heru/Horus dudes. A potter god had like five different goddess wives depending on what role he was fulfilling in what city. No god has ever been a separate entity from another god. Egyptian mythology is literally the Telephone game except with divinity. Then you step away from mythology and into paganism, and things get weird. 2/?
Paganism is basically "you know those myths? well they're wrong" and you have to go back and relearn everything you THOUGHT you knew about certain Egyptian deities. Back to the myths tho, Set likes to get drunk just to be drunk and that's probably the reason he's so often a villain. Also he was jealous because Osiris and Isis were all of Egypt's OTP when he wanted to date Isis and generally it was a very weird situation. End of rant, thanks for reading.
Same Egyptian anon! Almost forgot to talk about Anubis/Inpu's mythos: he was the main underworld god until his uncle/father/somehow relative Osiris showed up, then he stepped down so Osiris could be in charge. He became the patron god of orphans because in most mythologies he was used to being alone and wanted to make sure kids wouldn't have to be alone. He's great.
Thank you anon omfg.  I’ve read some of this stuff, but there’s a lot of new information here, which I really appreciate.  (If you have any book recs, I’ll gladly take them.  I sadly had to downsize my Egypt book collection).  And yeah, this is why I can’t get upset when a depiction of an Egyptian god isn’t “accurate”.  The culture has existed for centuries upon centuries - things will change.
But this Anubis is really good and I want to see more depictions like that.

Osiris (Usir)
symbols: crook & flail, Atef crown, ostrich feathers (often on either side of crown), distinguished beard sacred plants: frankincense, ivy, acacia, blackberry, cedar, willow sacred animals: cattle, crocodile, cat, goose color associations: black, green element: water Zodiac: Taurus
Son of Geb (Earth God) and Nut (Sky Goddess.) He wed his sister, goddess Isis (Aset), and they gave birth to Horus. The love between Osiris and Isis was legendary, and is depicted all over walls in tombs, and on papyrus scrolls. Osiris is often considered the first legitimate leader of Egypt. He is said to have brought order and quell chaos. He is a god of agriculture, death, rebirth & resurrection. He was known to be a kind and benevolent leader; some depictions of him have him smiling. When he passed away and entered the Underworld, his presence was welcome, as he is not a deity to be feared. He is merciful and forgiving.  Why is he green in the image above? Osiris was often depicted as green because he is associated with vegetation and is a god of agriculture. He is sometimes shown as a mummy in white, which can also be seen in the above image. In addition, he can be depicted in black-- as he is also a god of death and resurrection. The green, white, & black colors were also indications of the fact that Osiris had passed. Each harvest, he symbolically dies, and is resurrected as the inundation returns. There were a couple festivals dedicated to Osiris. One in November, to celebrate his beauty, and a festival of mourning called “Fall of the Nile.” Even celebrations surrounding this deity deal with life and death. Witches may choose to celebrate Osiris on Ostara.

The Pantheon universe, a summary
What is the Pantheon universe?
Pantheon is a series of mythological stories that take place from approximately 3000 BCE to 1200 BCE in the area known in modern times as SWANA (Southwest Asia and North Africa).
The stories assume the existence of each ancient culture’s deities while taking into account the historical conflicts between those cultures, resulting in a kind of “historical mythology” where historical conflict reflects upon the divine realm (E.G.: the Egyptian pantheon fighting the Hittite pantheon and allies in the Battle of Kadesh story).

Renungan Hadist. Disampaikan oleh Umi Anik di Whatsapp Grup Binroh RSU Pademangan Jangan Tertipu Pesona Tampilan Lahiriyah عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ رُبَّ أَشْعَثَ مَدْفُوعٍ بِالْأَبْوَابِ لَوْ أَقْسَمَ عَلَى اللَّهِ لَأَبَرَّهُ (رواه مسلم) Dari Abu Hurairah ra bahwa Rasulullah Saw bersabda, "Berapa banyak orang yang rambutnya kusut, tampak dihinakan dan di usir oleh orang-orang, namun apabila dia berdo'a kepada Allah, pasti Allah akan mengambulkannya." (HR. Muslim, hadits no 4754) Hikmah Hadits : 1. (HR. Bukhari, hadits no 4701) 2. (HR. Muslim, no 4651) 3. (HR. Ibnu Majah, no 3979). Amiin Ya Rabbal Alamiiin. Wallahu A'lam By. Rikza Maulan, Lc, M.Ag ❤

Amira’s most followed Stygian Gods
Set, the First Serpent, the Scaled God of Stygia Set is the old serpent-god of Stygia but is also worshipped by the Chagas of Kush, certain degenerate cults of Shem and fell sorcerers throughout the Earth. Set’s symbol is a scaled serpent, coiled, with its tail in its mouth. He is the mortal enemy of Mitra and of the Hyborian Kingdoms but he also hates his old scribe, Ibis. At one time, according to Xaltotun, much of the world was likewise dominated by the Old Serpent. Set, today, is worshipped primarily in Stygia and in places of strong Stygian influence such as areas of Kush and Shem, and by dark sorcerers everywhere. He is believed to have created much of the universe by copulating with his own shadow, a probable survivor of the Elder God known as the Black Shadow.
The Black Shadow of the Elder race and the Great Serpent (possibly an early version of Yig) of the Thurian age were combined by the Stygians into the being known as Set. His is a bloody religion, a survival from the strange prehuman culture that was thrown down by the Stygians in preCataclysm days. At one time, Set walked the earth in the form of a man and created that mysterious pre-human race. Now the god of the Stygians, Set’s cult is outlawed by the Hyborians, who regard Set as the arch-enemy of Mitra and fear the gruesome and mysterious rituals of Set’s priests.
Set is worshipped in great festivals of sacrifice and also by more subtle means, such as by allowing a great serpent to wander the streets and declaring any who are eaten by it to be suitable offerings to the god. He may be willing to grant victory to one force on a battlefield if 500 or more virgin sacrifices are made to him the night before the battle. The specific rituals used to worship Set are a guarded mystery, but these are known to be gruesome, comprised of unspeakable rites and human sacrifices in grisly quantities. Priests wear monstrous, half-bestial masks surmounted by ostrich plumes in certain ceremonies.
Sacred beasts, both terrestrial and otherwise, abound in their religious culture. Giant pythons hunt abroad in the dark alleys of black Khemi, human sacrifices innumerable are given to amorphous monsters from the Abyss held in deep pits and giant, drugged iridescent serpents coil in their temples, ready to accept worship and sacrifice from the priests of Set. The priests of Set are largely all sorcerers, and they terrify their subjects as well as their enemies, for they can and will sacrifice their own followers to gain their corrupt ends.
The most powerful of these priests are members of the Black Ring. These priests gather in sacred spots to perform their rituals, such as the colossal pyramids that dot the Stygian landscape, ancient ruins that bring magic and mystery to the priests and horror to all others. Priests of Set terrify their subjects almost as much as they do their enemies. Many are corrupt, mad, or both – and even the relatively sane ones are usually quite willing to sacrifice their own followers.
The priests of Set form the entire government of Stygia, creating in them a vested interest in the continuation of the religion. There are seven known mysteries in the Cult of Set. Ancient records of the Giant-Kings and the Acheronians give tantalizing hints of more mysteries long lost to history. The Acheronians seem to have had nine mysteries and the Giant-Kings had twelve. During various periods of war and conquest these later mysteries have been lost because the mysteries are never recorded, only passed down orally.
Some texts hint that perhaps the eleventh or twelfth mystery of Set involved some relationship between the keeper of the mystery and the man-serpents buried deep in the dark tombs of Elder Stygia.
Bat, Set’s Prophet Bat is a cow-goddess with the ability to see past, present and future as the same. She is often depicted as two-faced to reflect her ability to see the past and the future. She is a woman with a human face but with cow-ears and a pair of horns curling upward from her temples. Set often consults with her about the future or if he needs to know about the past. She is a historian as well as a prophet. She often works alongside Set’s scribe, Djehuty, who is also her father. Bat has no dedicated priests but is called upon as needed by all the people of Stygia. Sorcerers using divinations often call upon Bat in their spells.
Hathor, the Fire of Set’s Eye (Sukhmet; Aset) Hathor is a goddess of femininity, transformations and poisons, the sister and wife of Usir, the daughter of Kebb and Nuit. She is two goddesses rolled into one: Hathor and Sukhmet. As Hathor, she is a cow-headed woman with a vulture-crown (wings outspread), usually nude or in a transparent linen dress, with a pair of bulls horns supporting a solar disk above her head. She is a powerful sorceress and her breasts flow with the milk of kingship. Many pieces of Stygian artwork show the King of Stygia suckling at her breasts as her vulture crown looks down at the child. She was the greatest goddess of the Giant-Kings and remains so with the Stygians. She is the symbol of the adoring wife and mother, so important to Stygian culture. She is the patron goddess of counterspells and nature magic. Her instruments are the sesheset (a type of Stygian tambourine) and the drums. She is the goddess of love and cosmetics.
Hathor has seven handmaidens who are said to come to the bedside of every child when it is born to announce his fate, for these handmaidens know the future and the moment of death for every Stygian. Stygian divination spells often call upon the seven handmaidens of Hathor for this reason. They are shown as beautiful nude women with long-haired wigs playing seshesets and wearing the horns of Hathor. Horned Hathor has a dual personality; when angered, she becomes the goddess of war and destruction, the horrible Sukhmet, the Fire of Set’s Eye. In this aspect she is a patron of vampires, witches and werewolves.
She is Set’s horrifying avenger, the holy warrior of the ancient Serpent, a nefarious weapon used to destroy those Set deems unworthy of living. She takes on the head of a red lioness with bull horns and she fights with cobras in her hands. As the blood-drinking Sukhmet she dresses in a red kilt. Once she becomes Sukhmet, she is virtually unstoppable, a vampire killer who drinks the blood of those she vanquishes. Once unleashed, the only way Set can keep her from slaying every last man, woman and child on the planet is to provide her with buckets of blood laced with wine. She drinks the wine-blood and calms down, becoming Hathor once again.
Any person may come to a temple of Hathor and sleep on the roof in the hopes of a prophetic dream. The priestesses of Hathor await the roof-sleepers in the morning to interpret any dreams.
Satet, She Who Bathes Set Satet is the sister of Khnemu and the mother of Anuket (who became Derketo). She is the daughter of Set and Tef Maåuti Nu. She cleanses Set with waters from the River Styx, poured from four sacred vessels.
She is the goddess of the star whose annual return to the night sky above Stygia signals the inundation of the River Styx. She does not have dedicated priests or priestesses but is called upon as needed by all the people of Stygia.
She protects public baths and is a patroness of barbers, for she also shaves the gods and goddesses, as well as cleansing them. She is charged with the purification of all the gods, in addition to being Set’s personal bather.

Jose Mourinho Terungkap Usir Ryan Giggs

(Detikfinance/CNNI/d) http://dlvr.it/NgvtTH
