Apollo Twins Layer Cake Coconut & Pandan 🥥🌴 . As I didn’t know what pandan exactly is, I was curious to try this sort of layer cake. Although the picture on the package shows a coconut filling between two pandan layers, you only see the pandan but barely coconut. The cake looks kindashort, dry and crumbling, not what I expected. Nevertheless it tastes better than how it looks like 😅. It’s quite soft, not too sweet and fluffy, I can’t remember whether I could notice the pandan or not but I really appreciate the green color 😁. Glico Double Pretz Strawberry Milk Flavor 🍓🥛 . Never seen a double pretz version before and found this one quite interesting. I was expecting those sticks to have two different flavors with one side having a glaze but it turned out to be an ordinary stick mixed with strawberry pieces which you can easily spot (switch to the next picture). After opening the package you’re gonna notice a strong scent like strawberry milkshake. I think those pretz were so delicious, it had a rich and natural strawberry taste. I could recognize the milk or cheesecake whatever by the creamy texture. It was both crispy and ‘full-bodied’ somehow 😅. Couldn’t resist and ate all at the same time 🙈😍. Ferrero duplo Chocnut 🍫🌰 . Reviewing a non asian product this time. I wouldn’t say it’s a German snack bc Ferrero is an Italian brand I guess. This is sth like a chocolate wafer bar with a hazelnut cocoa spread or cream and whole hazelnuts in each bubble. The shape reminds me of ‘bueno’, another hazelnut based chocolate wafer snack from the same brand. (Seems like Europeans love hazelnuts, right? 😂) I actually found this one pretty good, I love the combination of chocolate and nuts, especially when there are whole nuts included. The wafer outside is crispy and airy plus the chocolate glaze outside not too thick. The thing I don’t like and this is the reason I wouldn’t necessarily want to try it again is the chocolate cream inside. That makes the whole bar too sweet and I don’t get why you still have to fill in MORE chocolate although there’s already chocolate outside 👀😅. I’d always scratch out the cream, using it as a spread for bread 😆. Another maybe less sweet filling would be much better here. Comparing this one with ‘bueno’ I’ve mentioned before, I’d definitely prefer ‘bueno’ cause the cream inside is nougat instead. Bika Honey Crab Flavoured Crackers 🍯🦀 . The combination of honey and crab was sounding truly delicious so I tried them. They have a half rounded shape which remind me of a shell or that Pokémon Omanyte 😆. Despite the look, the crackers didn’t taste airy but a little hard which is not a negative point but bc of the shape it’s not so easy chewing on them. It feels like having to bite every single cracker off due to the hard edges. The taste was really savory, for me already a bit too salty. I think the saltiness didn’t come from the crab cuz you couldn’t taste crab (or at least I didn’t notice that much) but sth else. There was a slightly glaze on the surface which possibly should intend honey but I couldn’t taste sweetness at all. Moreover, several crackers were a little darker and left a burnt aftertaste. I would probably not buy this again, maybe only at half the price. Felice Melon Cream Soda🍈🥤 . Included in #tokyotreat July box. I was curious about this flavor cuz I couldn’t really imagine what it’s gonna taste like, I thought it would be sth of a sparkling liqueur etc bc of the word ‘cream’ 😆. Honestly I think most Japanese soft drinks are too artificial in taste as well as in color. This one definitely looked like green poison 😂. Despite that, it has a fantastic melon smell and honeydew melon flavor. I was positively surprised although I don’t drink soda. Of course for me it would have tasted even better if there wasn’t any sparkle but I think I would probably buy this by myself. Btw I diluted the soda a little bit to reduce the sparkles and sweetness. Orion Corn Soup Turtle Chips 🌽🍲 . Incidentally bought at an asian shop in Chinatown, Paris bc I’ve never seen them before. It took me around 3,50€ for one package of 80g corn soup flavored chips! So expensive! 😭 I almost regretted buying it but those chips are truly worth a try!! 😍😋 I love sweet corn flavor and I wished other well-known brands would release sth like that too. The texture is very fluffy and it’s fun crunching them when there’s a hollow space inside. Perfect savory yet a little sweet taste. Kabaya Melon Gummies 🍉🍈 . I’ve bought them a while ago because of the packaging. Look at this cute polar bear wearing a melon bowl on his head! 😍💕😂 It’s the first time I’ve tried Japanese gummies. Knowing that German gummies are one of the best made me imagine that those ones probably must be as good as German ‚Haribo‘. Well , the texture of those melon gummies was a little harder, the smell inside the package very strong like honeydew melon 😊. However I didn’t like the taste so much. In my opinion it had sth of a chemical melon flavor, it was not bad but kind of the feeling that I don’t want to chew anymore 😅. Furthermore it tasted too sweet and the extra sugar outside was quite gratuitous somehow. I think sb who loves the flavor of melon or never tried Haribo before might be satisfied with these ones but I’m glad when the package is empty 😆🙈. Ito Spicy Green Beans 🌱 . Didn’t expected it to be totally hot and spicy! I like it spicy and always put some chili into my food this was way too much 😅. Lotte Koala’s March Choco Banana 🍌🍫 Interesting because I’m not used to banana flavor in combination with biscuits etc.. you can definitely taste (and smell!) banana but not really the chocolate. What I like about this version is that it’s not too sweet. However I’m not a big fan of banana, just wanted to try bc of curiosity 😅. If you like banana you’re gonna be fine with them. Nongshim Shrimp Cracker Hot & Spicy 🍤 Gibt es in nahezu allen Asia Märkten. Ich finde sie lecker und viel besser als die original Version, da die klassischen nach fast nichts schmecken und die hier zwar nicht wirklich scharf, aber dafür gut gewürzt und man schmeckt den Garnelen Geschmack raus.
