Headcanons for altertale! Your storyshift ones where really good and I’d love to know more with another underrated au

Sounds like fun, alright, here's a few:

From what I know, while the six characters who switched places do take one most of the personality of the character they switched places with, they do still retain some of their own. So I say that Sans and Papyrus remained in contact far more than UT Asgore and Toriel did. Papyrus' visits to the Ruins are tense, but not infrequent. And Sans always lets him in, even if he doesn't entirely approve of his methods.

Instead of the butterscotch cinnamon pie slice, Sans gives Frisk a little slip of paper woth a pun written on it when they go to sleep. Said piece of paper has the exact same effects as the slice of pie when eaten. It can also be gifted to Asgore during the fight with him to end the fight (he's too frustrated to continue) and to Papyrus to lower his attack/defense

During the date with Asgore, instead of wearing the sporty fit UT Papyrus wears, he's wearing a royal outfit. He insists that it is simply all the latest fashion, truthfully though, he just really admires the king for the way he manages to shoulder all his duties and yet never loses his smile.

Instead of chugging ketchup on the date with her, Toriel downs a whole bottle of hard liquor. Girlie is not playing around. Life is tough as it is, and having to deal with yet another human who is inevitably going to die on her watch is not something she's willing to deal with sober.

Instead of stripes, little white lab coats are what kids wear in the underground. Literally just because the idea of Gaster and Chara running around looking like little nerdy scientists is adorable. Frisk also happened to wear one when they fell

Papyrus is very conflicted during his fight. Again, they do retain some of their personalities, so I imagine that, instead of killing the human, the first few times he just knocks them out. If the human persists, he changes his strategy

Bit of Lore: Alot of Sans come together and either chill together, got dropped off by there AU Papryus, or inserted themselves inside (most of them, yet tolerable. But some of the AUs aren't allowed in the hub like PICK ME! Sans because lots of creep actual gore, would scare LittleTale/QuantumTale out of there bones. The tolerable AUs like UnderLust (He would tale care of the children the most), GoreTale (He be a pleasant fellow), HELP_Tale (Would probably scare away the AU invaders), and Insanity (Do the same as H_T)

Also yeah, there's literally Sanses with NO AUs

🏳‍🌈  do you have any headcanons (lgbt, race, neuro, etc) that are important to you?

To be honest, there aren't many headcanons, I have that aren't popular and I just ended up adopting or aren't straight up canon. But I do have a few for my current fandoms and few I had in past.

LGBTQ+. These headcanons are hard for me, I usually just go with with characters' preferred pronouncecand making most characters Bi/Pansexuals to be able to swing them in both sides (que, why I still don't know many sexualities/identities), but I do have few that I am very attached to.

Those of them are : Genderfluid!Haruka Tenoh/Sailor Uranus (Sailor Moon), Lesbians!Haruka Tenoh and Michiru Kaioh/Sailor Neptune, Pan!Usagi Tsukino/Sailor Moon, Transfem!Phineas (Phineas and Ferb)... and honestly, don't get me started on my version of Altertale (my favorite Undertale AU, that's a can of worms for another time...)

About race and neuro are harder for me, because I'm really scared writing something wrong about them, but also don't really know how to write those too so it seemed accurate and not stereotypical. Same thing goes to religion-

But where's my biggest headcanons lie... it's familial ones/found family. That's where my obsessions lie... there are too many to list, so here are few, I can name from the top of my head :

Eden Twins/Siblings Adam and Lilith (Hazbin hotel), Sera and Adam as a Mother and Son (Hazbin hotel), Shadow as Sonic's son (Sonic the hedgehog), Shadow being Cream's brother/father figure (Sonic the hedgehog), Family Outer Senshi (Sailor Moon)¹, Half-brothers Ross and Skid (Spooky Month), Skid and Ross as brothers in general-, Big brother Papyrus (Undertale)- and I'll stop here, or we'll be sitting here for the whole day- hah

(1. This one is actually canon, Haruka, Michiru and Setsuna end up adopting Hotaru when she's reborn, but I love it too much not to mention it.)
