coming up w a list of jobs bryce and jensen had through hs/undergrad/med school so lmk any ideas you have!! bryces are pretty set bc of canon but jensen had all sorts of jobs so feel free to give some ideas for either <3

lists (so far and not in order):

jensen: mechanic apprenticeship, seasonal job selling tickets at a haunted house/hayride, and waitstaff at a restaurant (only lasted a month and a half though bc his ocd did Not mesh w that at all)

bryce: seasonal boat tours but specifically just the part where hes wearing a mic to talk about scenery, look pretty, and flirt w middle aged women for tips; bartending

One of my mutuals has been reblogging mechanisms stuff lately. It seems interesting. What is it?

A band! They're a steam-punky band with a lot of lore. The musicians themselves each play a member of an imortal crew of pirates, telling stories of things they're experience. Each album tells a narrative, usually based on a mythology, and has a different genre and style - but some songs are one off.

It's quite a lot of lore and a little intimidating to get into, but if you can get your head around the fact that the singer is playing a character who is playing a character, it's a great time. All the albums are pretty interconnected, you can start more or less anywhere, but I recommend going in order honestly and there might be some things you only pick up on/only make sense on a second or third listen

I think the rest of the SAS can testify that I'm a bit of an *ahem* spitfire, but I'm also a bit of a daydreamer and a romantic. I am also quite protective of my friends. Also as a teenager, I would have probably made a good Loki variant, because I loved getting into trouble and breaking rules.

🌅 what does your evening routine look like?

It varies, depending on whether or not I'm in a show or rehearsals for one. On non-show days, my evenings are usually spent at home with either some writing or Hulu and a bowl of weed to hit. I'm not really much for going out unless its with my partner, and even then, we're one of those couples that gets more out of sitting on opposite ends of the sofa, him playing FF14 on the screen while I write, than we do going to dinner and a movie.

I do usually turn in pretty early, though. I'm rarely awake past eleven pm on nights I'm not doing show-related things.

what would you say are the main differences between the russian grinning man and the original? curious to hear about it

hiii sorry for taking ages to answer and thank you so much for asking!! oh boy here we go

so i will mostly be comparing the russian version to the bristol production, because that’s the one i have seen fully several times. but!! the russian version is based on the london production, which i have only listened to, so i might accidentally mention things that were present in the london one too

the most obvious one is that the whole thing is in russian, so some of the lyrics and dialogue are slightly different. honestly though, i think the translators did a very good job, unlike some other russian productions of musicals almost everything is either spot on or fits the context well.

also pretty obviously from the pictures a lot of the visual aspects are different. the costumes, props and sets were designed and made specifically for this production. overall choreography and direction are different too.

they added so. many. sex jokes. like i know the original had them too but i feel like they doubled the amount lmao, which isn’t that bad, it’s a very funny show. also the actors improv a LOT in addition to slightly changed dialogue and added jokes.

overall i feel like only the baseline of the british productions was kept tbh, the plot and songs are the same, but everything else is slightly altered. i do very much enjoy what they’ve done with it though, i feel they’ve really expanded on and in some parts even improved on the source material.
