i think it’s so hot that tywin’s death was like. it wasn’t particularly violent or painful or gruesome in a book full of violent and or painful and or gruesome deaths. but what it arguably is is the most degrading. he dies on a toilet with a dead prostitute in his bed and his daughter (who he doesn’t like because she’s a woman) the one who has to clean up the mess. it’s not the worst death in the series by a mile but ooooooh tywin would hate it sososo much.

Reminder that Dany is the only person deserving of the title of Mother of Dragons, and no matter what man she’s with he will never have the ‘father’ title. She is the one who interpreted her dreams and figured out how to hatch the dragon eggs, thus bringing dragons back into the world. She’s the one who breast-fed them, raised them, cared for them, and protected them. She is their only parent.

Literally every time I read an age in these books (asoiaf) I cringe back and gasp aloud in utter horror and disbelief. And not just the children. But the women. And the men too.

The fact that there seems to be only one fic on AO3 that’s about Future!Simon/Present!Simon is blowing my mind. How?! It’s long and well written though, and I now consider the author to be one of my fandom heroes, just like the people who so generously gifted the world their Euramsay fanfic 💐🫶🏽🥰

Yes, I will watch HOTD....bc its based on a closed story, with beginning and end of the book fire & blood and probably will have just 3 ou 4 seasons instead of like 8 seasons game of thrones had.
I hope the producers dont fuck it up, the story of dance of dragons is really direct, doesnt need to invent any subplot or change much, has charismatic players of all sides, a bit of dramatic weddings and bastards and dragons. And a douche womanizer targaryen for the male audience and doctor who tumblrinas to stan lmao
Ofc I side with TeamBlack, fuck the hightowers
Anddd i will tag HOTDspoilers everytime I post about it

I think a lot about how Daenerys Stormborn of House Targaryen, the First of Her Name, Queen of the Andals and the First Men, Protector of the Realm, the Mother of Dragons, the Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, the Unburnt, the Breaker of Chains, Mhysa, saw a system that oppressed and dehumanized and ground people to dust and she decided “I’m going to smash that system because I know what it’s like to be less than human and no one should ever have to feel that.”
It’s so refreshing and beautiful to read because it really hammers in that idea that any battle against the wrong in the world is a worthy battle, because there is always inherent worth in fighting back against the idea that any human being can ever be regarded as an object to be owned. The fact that Dany takes it upon herself to fight that fight? The fact that she does it out of compassion, out of understanding and empathy for those people who have been enslaved and have no power, no voice, no possible hope of defending themselves? Unmatched. “I would sooner perish fighting than return my children to bondage.” That line? UNMATCHED.

OBSESSED OBSESSED OBSESSED with the idea that the dead mother wolf from agot ch1 was "Ned's wolf" not only because of dead-before-the-story-starts, doomed-by-the-narrative reasons but also because it makes Ned mom-coded. Mom-coded and fate-pilled. Get doomed, loser.
