My name is Finn! My pronouns are they/them. My main blog is @astranautic. I am autistic and currently hyper-fixated on Last Legacy.

I have been a fan of The Arcana since around this time 2018, so about four years ago. I got into Last Legacy a bit earlier than this time last year. When I first got into LL, new chapters were being released.

As you can imagine, the old devs and writers leaving and Fictif being bought out by Dorian has been… interesting for me.

What is this blog about?

The LL page in the Fictif Wiki is utterly insufficient. The old writers did so much worldbuilding that the Wiki simply doesn’t get into.

We still don’t know for certain whether Dorian plans to continue the LL story or not. Either way, it likely won’t be the direction that the original writers wanted to take.

With this blog, I will be going through every option of every route and collecting all of the information we know canonically about the LL world and characters. From there, I will try to build the route endings from the ground up. Actually writing the routes in detail is not something I am currently interested in, but I want to know how the stories might have ended.

I also want to look at old social media posts; they had what I believe were important tidbits about characters and the world, especially in the beginning.

Last Legacy had amazing potential and I wish it could have lived up to that. I want to do my best to provide myself with some closure and share that with anyone who is willing to stick around. I want to preserve the LL that we were all enamoured with.

If anyone has any suggestions, please do not hesitate to let me know! I will take any relevant information I can :)

5 questions with Astra Papachristodoulou

Why do you write?

A few years back, before poetry took over my life, I had this endless spring of creativity and didn’t quite know what to do with it. I was desperate to have a purpose and was kinda lost. Over the years, I have developed a confidence in my poetry and art that is strong enough for me to experiment without fearing the outcome. Some of my projects turn out good, and some not so good – and that’s fine. The process is often the exciting part.

I write because poetry is a mode that works for me as a person in a way that it allows for my curiosity to take over. I write to have a voice (if anyone’s even listening), to connect with like-minded people, to make experimental poetry more widespread and to get to know myself a little better. “Writing is my purpose,” she said, while violins played their song in the background.

Your work contains a combination of poetry and visual art. Are you more comfortable operating as a poet or visual artist? Is there much of a difference between the two?

In my experience there isn’t much difference between a poet and a visual artist.The first is a bit more text-based I suppose.Art is poetry and poetry is art.Oranges and tangerines: both orange, both either sweet or bitter depending on the batch. Where do you see poetry in 10 years? 100 years? 1000 years? Do you feel a spiritual connection to Sappho, or any other long dead Greek [or non-Greek]poet?

In 10 years I hope for experimental practices to be more widespread. In 100 years I see some extraordinary poetry written by robots. In 1000 years, poets will be writing about a once-habitable planet called Earth from afar.

To your second question, ancient Greek philosophers and playwrights have always fascinated me. I don’t feel a spiritual connection to one particular figure, but have much love for Hellenism and its rationalism, the vanguard characteristic of ancient Greek thought. Nowadays I feel a spiritual connection to my telescope. How important is narrative to your work? I see traces of it in all your publications, but it is rarely explicit, do you read a lot of fiction? Do you write fiction?

Poetry without narrative often bores me. I don’t mean to offend anyone who doesn’t use narrative or write sequences – it’s just my personal taste tbh. As a teenager, my first experience of writing was theatrical plays and this interest in theatre has stayed with me since. I like blurred lines and the crossover between art forms, and I try to bring theatricality in all my poetry sequences. I wouldn’t say that I read a lot of fiction, but I do read theatre texts and I’m fascinated by all-time classic fiction from Tolkien and Dostoyevsky.

Which planet would you most like to relocate to? Why?

I have a few planets in mind, but can’t decide right this minute. If I were to choose Saturn, I would sit right on its outer ring – it would be like living on a galactic merry-go-round with the provision that you felt the spin. Obvs I’ve never been there, so I don’t know. On the other hand, Neptune’s oceanic blue colour is tempting – imagine diving in again and again in its clouds! But, on a second thought, its 1,200+ mph winds would be rather intense for my liking. Another possibility would be Kepler-16b, which is the first confirmed circumbinary planet that orbits two stars rather than one (why not have more than one choice in life!*). And how fascinating would it be to have two shadows?
