it was sports day at your school and most of the events were over and done with but the teachers didnt allow anyone to leave yet cuz,,,, reasons✨

which is why some of the students kinda just flocked to the gym to chill and maybe play around

that was until somebody suggested they host an unofficial, volleyball game

the net was still up nobody bothered to put it down so yeaahhh

rules of the game were simple: there were none, except keep the ball in the air and get it over the net…however you can

at first only a few ppl played… the “energetic” and “athletic” ones and it still seemed like a typical volleyball game

then more ppl started joining

and it slowly started getting more chaotic

it got to the point where the entire gym was the court

there were ppl running around chasing the ball, others just hitting it as hard as they can in practically any direction, then there were those who just stood there cuz everyone else was standing there so why not ??

now sakusa didn’t want to be there

he was tired because his class had signed him up for ALL the running events

why? well cuz he was tHe OnLy AtHLeCtiC PeRsOn in his class

utter bullshit btw

he plays volleyball hes not a runner

but still ended up winning tons of races just cuz… it was him💅✨ no explanation needed

n e wayss he was tired and wanted nothing more than to go home and take a nice long shower

but ofc the students of itachiyama wouldn’t let him

some of them dragged him into the game early on

again, because he was aThLeTiC ~

but this time they actually got the sport right lolol

honestly he was lowkey annoyed at how un-volleyball the game started to become but continued playing it anyway

it was hilarious how the others tried to receive even his weakest, half-assed spikes

sakusa always made sure to aim his spikes directly at ppl’s arms tho

not out of consideration for their pride or anything no no 

it was cuz whenever the ball touched the ground the ENTIRE gym groaned rlly loud and there’d be ppl going “NOOOOOOOO” 

and that annoyed tf out of him so he was nice with his spikes

then there was you

you were outside with one of your friends when the whole volleyball thing started and only came to the gym cuz the rest of your friends were in there

so you walked in, scanned the crowd, immediately noticed your crush *cough*sakusa*cough* and then found your friends standing in a group on the other side of the gym

now here’s the thing

sakusa has a crush™️ on you too. took him a while to realize and accept it but he did and now he officially has a crush on you

he just hadn’t really gotten around to the idea of asking you out or anything

mainly cuz he just very recently realized his feelings aka last night he was thinking about all the events he had to do for sports day and he groaned cuz ppl made him do it but then he realized ppl wasn’t actually ppl it was just you

you were the one who smiled at him and said “why not sakkun,, it’d be fun” and like that he agreed. then he realized further he actually thought about you a lot. like earlier he was thinking about how’d you look tmr since u weren’t gonna be in normal school uniform and you’d have your hair all done. and then he realized he was looking forward to seeing you which led him to realize you were one of the few ppl he actually enjoyed being around. THEN he fucking finally realized “oh… i have a crush…. on y/n……. oh”

somewhat conflicted abt it for the entirety of the day,,, bois experiencing feels for u ofc its gonna take some time >.<

he didn’t get to talk to you all day though,,,,,, he was busy with his own events and you were elsewhere

either way,, when he saw you walking past in the gym he kind of lost focus

lost focus in that the ball was coming to him and he jumped to spike it but only had his eyes on you causing his aim to mess up and well,,

he hit his target

and because he wasn’t focused, it wasn’t a “soft” spike like all the other ones hes been doing 

it was a full-blown sakusa kiyoomi spike

that hit your face

like a split second later, you heard a calm voice asking if you were ok. you muttered out a yeah and felt arms helping you up

one of them was your friend you were pretty sure, but the other one’s hands were too big to be any of your friends’

“let’s get you to the nurse,” the calm voice said again. 

“mkay,, thats probably.. a smart choice.. yeah….” and, vision still blurry, you were guided to the nurse by your friend and someone whose identity you weren’t sure of yet

sakusa was still standing there

all that, the spike hitting you, you falling, your being escorted to the clinic,,,,, that happened in like 2 seconds

he didn’t even have time to say anything yet

to make matters worse, some random ass guy was the one who came and swept you out of the gym

sure your friend was with you but to sakusa,,, that guy sus af

after they left, the game continued and sakusa rlly didn’t feel like playing anymore

he wanted to make sure you were okay and wanted to apologize 

however,,,, the teachers came in shortly after and told them it was time for the closing ceremony

throughout the entire thing, his eyes flit through the crowds looking for you

he couldn’t find you tho>:((

after the ceremony was over,, he went to the clinic but you weren’t there

then he just kinda,,, /slump/

figured he’d just pull you aside tmr and apologize then

except,,, tmr came and he still hadnt found a good time to pull you aside for a proper apology?? 

you were just so… busy.?

finally,, at around lunch after you finished eating, you kinda just sat with your friends and were talking and stuff when sakusa decided now would be an appropriate time to apologize

he walked up to you and asked if you two could talk in private for a bit

your friends shot glances at each other. he saw,, but he didnt let it bother him

anyways,, he led you out into the hall and in the softest tone he could manage he says, “about yesterday… i’m really sorry, spiked the ball a bit too hard.. how are you feeling?”

you tell him ur fine,, just that it aches a bit but nothing serious

he nods and mutters another ‘sorry..’

then this happened:

“no it’s ok you don’t have to be so sorry. accidents happen.”

“it wasn’t an accident tho..? so im sorry, it wont happen again.”

“yeah ok,, wAIT WHAT?? wdym not an accident?!?? u spiked the ball into my face on purpose?!?!!?!?”

“WHAT NO- ofc not. i just,,, i kind of lost focus… on other things… at the time… and yeah”

“????”

*sighs* “i was focused on you when you walked past and didn’t consciously control my aim or whatever and ended up spiking it into your face”

“?!?!?!??…. why were you focused on me??”

“cuz i like you dummy” /it slipped he didnt mean to say this/

“oh.... wAIT WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?”

and that is the story of how sakusa confessed

Young Justice issue #2 review (Spoilers included)

This review isn’t gonna be as long as the first one, mostly cuz there’s simply less to unpack with it. The original issue had the team returning, with a lot of pressure on Bendis being able to write these characters well, and the pressure and hope that this wouldn’t be anything like the New 52, which was a disaster, AND IT WASN’T! Most people were pretty dang happy besides not getting all the answers straight away, and it was happy times for everyone, but that also added pressure onto this issue.

And this issue deals with Cassie Sandsmark, Wonder Girl, and showing what’s she’s been up to, and I think the story they built up for her is super cool, and really strikes her out as being important. Some people (I don’t think a lot of people, but some people) think of her as just, the OTHER Wonder Girl, so I think it’s really cool this digs her out with her own bit of importance.

She’s a college girl now, I think anyway, she said she WAS a High School girl, but she’s still going to school so I don’t know where else she’d be.

and she’s been given her birth right.

Which is probably putting her under a lot of pressure right now. (So let’s remember to be easy on her now, literally has gods getting on her butt about being by their side and what not, that’s hard stuff)

but she turns it down in a nice moment that shows her thought processes and how she feels about things. Showing more of her depth to possible new fans.

I really really really really like how this issue builds up Cassie, it shows she’s an underdog since people don’t even know who she is, yet freaking Zeus himself is trying to build her up to be by the rest of the God’s sides, and I think that’s a really cool dynamic to give her. It just gives her more ... I don’t really know how to word it more then likability and cool factor.

How ever, the issue does just ignore some New 52 based questions (everyone’s least favorite), like where did her silent armor go? And how come her origin is still the same as the New 52 while Tim got his old origin back in Detective Comics Rebirth, in the Lonely Place of Living story arc.

So it didn’t answer quite as many questions as people could’ve hoped, but the build up is really awesome to me. I really like what they’re doing with Cassie so far. Ignoring where the armor went is annoying, but it was sort of forgettable. So maybe some people will give it a pass, but a lot of fans won’t after being promised answers.

(I can personally live in down though. I like what I see too much and she just feels like what I know of the original Cassie too much for me to be too upset)

The whole issue in general is just so fun to read and full of energy and humor, that it’s just a blast to read. If you like fun comics it’s super fun. ESPECIALLY IF you like Cassie, unless ignoring the debacle of what the heck happened to that armor that only happened int he New 52? Like why’s it gone when she still has her New 52 origin?

but if you can look past that you should be able to enjoy it.

The lack of Conner and Bart is really sad though, but this issue was brought up as being Cassie-centric, so I can’t complain too much, as a Tim fan I’m just glad Tim even showed up at all, and his three pages are already a blast to read just on their own even if it is just three pages. Seeing him be himself again with no New 52 level of OOC-ness to hamper him. It warms my spirits up to see it, and that’s not a lie in the slightest. I’m literally smiling as I right this and I can’t help it because it makes me so happy knowing the Timmy I loved so much is back.

Pros: Cassie gets build up super well, and it seems like she’s going to have an interesting character arc between her and the gods. It’s super fun to read, the characters are written well. The art is amazing, and I love the color choices. They’re so pleasing to the eye Alejandro Sanchez did amazing. He’s one of the unsung heroes of this book. Because his color choices make Gleason and in this issue Emanuela Lupacchino’s art, really pop.

Cons: No Conner or Bart to be seen despite the solicitations saying otherwise, and no real answers to what happened to Cassie’s silent armor or how she fits into the Wonder-Family.

The lack of Conner is really a bummer since we got so little of him, and it’s a bigger one considering he was advertised in the solicitations. I have no idea why this is, I figure Bendis planned to have them in there and told the people that typically write the summaries and solicitations and stuff weren’t updated that they couldn’t be fit in after Bendis wanted to build up Cassie.

but, I think the issues so fun and such a blast, that even though I was bummed out when I got updated that they weren’t gonna be in it, that I don’t mind it, because I know Conner’s going to hit the spotlight next month and it’s gonna be awesome!

“NINE” by Blink-182

So for my first “official” blog post, I figured I’d write about something near and dear to my heart. My favorite band, Blink-182, released their new album “NINE” 09/20/2019. As soon as I heard it, it sparked some sort of energy and interest in me to blog a review. It started out as a journal, but with some encouragement and motivation from my friends, I was able to pen a full review and now, post it. So here it is, my complete review of the album “NINE” as I heard it for the first time, with additional information added with subsequent play throughs.

1. The First Time - 2:27

Upbeat, loud drums, distant yelling. Cherish your first times for any occasion. Memories about taking risks, taking chances. What are you going to remember when you’re old?: the memories you made taking risks or the times you played it safe? Take risks, try new things, experience life. Still wishing Tom DeLonge was back, but his replacement, Matt Skiba (also the frontman of rock band Alkaline Trio), is fitting in perfectly fine with Mark and Travis.

Final: 8/10.

2. Happy Days - 2:59

Sounds very reminiscent of “Stay Together For The Kids”. A song about being positive when you don’t know what positive even is, don’t know what’s going on, don’t know what your next step is. “I want to feel happy days”. Memories triggering sadness, not doing enough, feeling like you aren’t enough. Yet, at the same time, still being content in your life. Still pushing, still trying, still working to achieve your true happiness. It’s like you can acknowledge there is room for change, but you don’t know if you can yet. It’s a first step, though, and sometimes that’s all it takes for everything to fall into place.

Final: 9/10

3. Heaven - 3:17

First thought: existential crisis. Impulsive actions. Self destruction. From good to bad, not getting into Heaven based off of prior actions. Struggling to better, but falling short due to lack of effort. A feeling of being forgotten, left behind, not fitting in because of your choices. “We’re lost in our ways, nothing left to say” .. “we’re stuck in our ways, I’ve got so much to say”. Acknowledging the need to change, but not actually changing.

Final: 7/10

4. Darkside - 3:01

Observing a mysterious, unknown girl. I get an 80’s vibe from this song. Waiting, waiting, waiting. Following someone into the unknown for a new journey, to a new world, an unknown place. New experiences. Sounds kinda synthy at the bridge. The fading of the loud voices make it sound more like a yell.

Final: 7/10

5. Blame It On My Youth - 3:06

Airy sound, bass comes in, Mark’s angel voice. Growing up in the past vs growing up today. Apologizing for differences in their youth vs how they are in adulthood, but ultimately saying to blame it on how they were raised. We are in a completely different time now than what they were when they were growing up. “I don’t need an excuse”. What was socially accepted then ( ) vs now (maybe 2016 on), they are two completely different time frames and have two completely different socially acceptable norms.

Final: 7/10

6. Generational Divide - 0:49

Heavy drums. Work in progress adjusting to life before and life after? This is probably the most confusing bit in the whole album. The rating is more for sound than message since it was so short and I didn’t get much out of it.

7. Run Away - 2:28

Sounds very two albums ago. Childish rebellion, teen angst vibes. Possibly a song about blaming others for your actions but still getting left with the responsibility. Running away from your problems, but hoping someone holds you down to own up to them. Definite “Neighborhoods” vibes based off of the sound alone. Another great Blink album.

Final: 7/10

8. Black Rain - 2:46

Starts slow with Skiba vocals, then the pace picks up and it’s loud singing by Mark. Chorus comes back in and is slow, lighter than during Mark’s part. A song about struggling with loss. Mark’s voice seems far away when listening through a phone or TV speaker, different when you’re wearing headphones/earbuds/etc. “Tragedy erased my memory and now all I see is this black rain. Tragedy, you too my everything.” Sound is actually kinda shit in conjunction with their voices.

Final: 6/10

9. I Really Wish I Hated You - 3:11

This song hit hard, it’s very relatable. “Cuz I really don’t like myself without you, every song I sing is still about you. Save me from myself the way you used to, cuz I really don’t like myself without you. I really wish I hated you right now. Won’t you say something?” Being broken with someone you clearly love, not knowing what to do without them, unable to cope with them being gone. A longing for someone you wish you could have because you gave them your all, you tried your hardest, but love being too strong to stay. Stuck in the past, thinking, reminiscing. Hard to let go of someone you care about, even though you know they are better off without you. You start to feel like a burden and it doesn’t even get better. “I hate the way you’re better off” .. basically letting them go because you know it’s the less selfish thing to do if it means they’re happy. You can’t keep someone for your own benefit.

Final: 10/10

10. Pin the Grenade - 2:59

Another song about losing someone, life changing and going on without them. Not being able to let go, t hint to drag it out as long as possible. Not worth losing someone compared to being dead. “Just another night before I’m lost and all alone. If you’re gonna kill me, baby, please just do it slow” .. dragging out the torture of being killed to get more time with that person you love.

Final: 9/10

11. No Heart To Speak Of - 3:40

Remembering a life you had before, losing someone, being heartbroken over the memories you keep thinking about. There’s nothing left for you here. “Laying on the bedroom floor, hanging on the words you said before” .. “Dying on the bathroom floor, thinking of the life we had before”. When you’re so heartbroken, is it worth staying alive when you don’t have that person who made you whole? The sound overall is good, reminds me of “Ocean Avenue” by Yellowcard based off the sound alone. I love the range of Skiba’s voice, from soft and lull to loud and emotional, almost strained.

Final: 9.5/10

12. Ransom - 1:25

“Say the word and I’ll be there”. Sounds kinda trappy. Like SoundCloud trappy. Two opposites attracting, becoming one. A guy obsessed with a girl, uprooting his life to be with her across the country. Trapped. Ransom.

Final: 7/10

13. On Some Emo Sh** - 3:10

Missing someone so much that your current life is put on hold. You remember things so vividly that it interrupts your current life. Questioning why you exist without that person who made your existence seem painless, easy, worthwhile. Memories, flashbacks, stories, all about someone you still love. “These feelings pound in my chest, maybe I am better off dead.” Still leaving yourself 100% open for someone you love that takes advantage of your soft spot for them. Is it happiness you’re after? Or is it the fear of being alone? Is there a sliver of hope left that things will fall back together eventually or are you just torturing yourself holding onto that hope?

Final: 8/10

14. Hungover You - 2:59

Fuck this song, first of all. Second, I absolutely love it. Super relatable for someone, anyone, that has had their heart broken. Maybe even for people who have broken hearts. If you’ve broken a heart, does this open your eyes to the feelings you left your significant other with after you were gone? The overall sound, the breakdown on the chorus, and the way Hoppus and Skiba harmonize gives me chills. The only song that I found myself screaming along to while I was driving. Can’t get over someone, they disappeared from your life. “It was just one time, one time. Started turning into two times, a few times”. “It feels like last night, you come over. And now I wake up, and you’re nowhere.” Is this even real? Is this a drunk hallucination? How long has this person been gone that he can say he’s “still hungover you”? Shouts out to Travis Barker on the drums, this one is one of my favorites because of the work he puts in with the sound.

Final: 10/10

15. Remember to Forget Me - 3:30

Sounds like a song that represents giving someone your all, being broken into tiny pieces in the process, and then all those tiny pieces being scattered. Sounds like some soft dubs in the second verse. Not sure of how to exist on your own without your person. Lack of ability to be independent. Kind of sounds like you want someone to get rid of every thought, memory, trace of you when they forget you. Don’t even think about me in the future. Erase your memory.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Well, I obviously fucking love Blink-182. I was always a little skeptical about Matt Skiba taking over for Tom DeLonge, but at the same time, I was never a fan of Angels and Airwaves (Tom’s other project), so I feel like it could be a reasonable compromise. Personally, the lack of vibe balance throws me off a little. You start out super happy, upbeat, encouraging, and then the whole album takes a turn into missing someone, losing someone, feeling completely lost without someone. And honestly? I fucking felt that shit. You can only be so positive when you feel like you’d be better off dead. The last, like, 12 months of my life have been absolutely chaotic and I’ve lost so many people from friends, fuck buddies, boyfriends, family members, wherever it is, I’ve probably lost it. I’ve made a lot of big life changes and shit so this album actually kind of hit me hard. Only two 10/10 songs, but a lot of 9s to back it up. The two 10/10s (“I Really Wish I Hated You” and “Hungover You”) made my “Top Songs To Scream Along To” playlist for when I’m driving and feel hyper, bummed, emo, etc.

I’m not entirely sure what I expected from NINE, but I don’t think that I was necessarily disappointed either. I like the sounds, I like the progress, all the guys are doing great together. They just did a tour with Neck Deep and Lil Wayne, including a few shows guest starring my favorite band All Time Low out in Ohio. It was a really fun album to review. I’ve listened to it all the way through a handful of times, writing over them between two instances and the rest just trying to listen without pressuring myself to make something out of it, but instead just to vibe and understand.

The big difference with this album is that it’s so serious. This Blink album is honestly so mature, there’s no dick jokes or short interludes about fucking someone’s mom. It’s super foreign territory for Blink to delve into, but I respect the change and enjoyed the album just the same without the jokes and silly antics. Another thing with this album is that I heard a lot of throwback sounds and I actually fucked with it heavy. Hearing an old song’s tune in a different way actually made the album kind of nostalgic. The beginning of “The First Time” has big time “Feeling This” (Blink-182 self title, 2003) vibes. On top of that, “Hungover You”, (yes, I’m obsessing over every aspect of this song), has BIIIIG “Snake Charmer” (Neighborhoods, 2011) sounds with the maraca/salt sounds. Almost every song on this album, if not for sure every album, has throwback sounds in a different pitch, frequency, order, etc. and I’m actually really digging it. The synthy sound from “Ransom“ is a dead ringer for the beginning of “Love Is Dangerous” (Neighborhoods, 2011), which is the last album that featured founding member Tom DeLonge. The sound itself isn’t spot on, but the concept of the sound is what is familiar. I don’t know if this was intentional, but regardless, it’s an interesting take on the new sound playing off the old sound.

Drifter

How I feel about this character:  Drifter’s visual appearance is massively appealing. The helmet with the little pointed end, the flowing red cape and mask, the killer knee-length boots - for a bum, they know how to travel in style and this is fairly standard traveler’s garb in their world! (I bet Drifter is like super dirty and smells of dirt and dead animals. ;D)

Drifter is a silent protagonist, so there’s nothing to decipher on how I feel about their peronality canonically. But it makes for good opportunity to invest in my own personal interpretation (specifically for my Not-Dying AU): quiet, often keeps to themself. A consummate obsessive of ancient artifacts and history, Drifter is something of an amateur archeologist and spends much of their time nerding over old ruins and dead cultures. When Drifter is passionate about their hobbies, they tend to pour hours analyzing every square inch of the subject matter (Drifter is absolutely the type who engages in puzzles and games; if the internet existed, they’d be typing up a 30,000 word essay on Why This One Anime Character Has The Best Character Development Ever.) In my AU stories, Drifter is looking for information about their people and specifically any ties it has to their past which they don’t know a thing of (amnesia is a bitch.)When Drifter gets close to someone, they are comfortable enough to show off their true feelings, one who tends to be temperamental and exasperated and just plain stubborn. Dry sarcasm gets them through the day and the rest is filled with awkward stumbles as they try to interact with people (especially once they settle in Central) on a basic, social level. They’ve dealt with isolation and loneliness for a loooooong time, so they tend to be socially anxious. Drifter finds the longer they stay in Central, the more they enjoy peaceful living (a respite from all the dangerous beasts, monsters, and situations they’ve been in for years.) Drifter is often irritated, but they’re just so feckin’ Tired, man.

They claim neutrality whenever they see someone or something in distress during their travels, but Drifter ends up saving the world once, twice - too many times. They have a reputation as a hero no matter how much they downplay it. Drifter does not tolerate fools greatly. So this sets Drifter with a chronic case of helping people over even the minor of tasks because those damn JRPG NPCs can’t do shit themselves.

Any/all the people I ship romantically with this character:

Drifter and Perfect Boyfriend AKA Guardian.

My favorite non-romantic relationship for this character: I like the idea that Drifter is at first amused by Soccer Kid and indulges in his fun little game, but then realizes overtime that Soccer Kid is SUPER good at the game and Drifter is just a bit…indignant. So they keep challenging Soccer Kid and keep getting their shit wrecked and Guardian has to step in and inform Drifter that Soccer Kid is a child and shooting the kid’s ball out of anger was reaaaaaaaally not the best response. Drifter apologizes and buys the kid a new ball and learns a few tricks from him. 

Drifter should not have kids. I am also down with Drifter having casual, hot sex with Dashmaster. My unpopular opinion about this character: I don’t draw Drifter with white hair.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: Honestly, it’s kind of a shame we never got to see an awesome Drifter/Guardian team up of them fighting off a wave of baddies or at least a specific section where you play Drifter with Guardian in tow. I don’t know what the goal would be: retrieving a module? Fighting their way to the boss? Either way, would have been cool. Then again, it might have taken away from the atmosphere of a largely lonely traveler. Favorite friendship for this character: After Drifter starts dating Guardian, they totes have a mutual bond and friendship with Dashmaster. Two quiet fellows who dash and chills, occasionally accompanying one another outside Central either to patrol for baddies or seek out artifacts; they probably respond to each other with silent nods. My crossover ship: I did a joke pairing between Drifter and a heartbroken Juan (from Gaucamelee) based on this joke post I made:

Get over it, Juan.

Propeller Knight

How I feel about this character: The moment i saw him when I first played Shovel Knight three years ago, he became my instant favorite. Lovable Rogue characters are my bread and butter and Propeller had “charismatic bastard” written all over him.

I am also heavily invested in men dressed opulently and that jacket - that jacket. Mmmm. His baggy pants also reminds me heavily of pilots from the Guilded Ages and subsequently, a lot of the setting I place Propeller in has influence of the late 1800s to early 1900s cuz’ that shit is my jam.

Any/all the people I ship romantically with this character: I denied so much, but I relented because the more I wrote dialogue for the two, the more I realized how much Propeller’s romance with Specter Knight hits my button.

You got a ball of sunshine whose carefree attitude is at such a drastic contrast to the pile of Emo, Edgy, Sadface McMoodBoy that is Donovan Placentaur. I’m vastly satisfied with Propeller putting a smile on Specter’s face and getting him to see the world with as much vigor and love as he does while Specter keeps his significant other from going overboard and Propeller often does go overboard; he is a man who gives everyday an 11, after all.

My favorite non-romantic relationship for this character: Recently I’ve been enjoying Propeller Knight having something of a rivalry with Treasure Knight over the sheer lunacy that he thinks sky pirates are better than sea pirates. Of course Treasure thinks the very opposite, he’s just a bit more subdued about it. Either way, the two men often compete, usually via a race to get a specific piece of item to steal before the other one does. They’re both equally good at their jobs and though there seem to be no end in sight for these two, both of then have heavily respect one another. Propeller, just being the nice man that he is, is friendly and kind to Treasure whenever they aren’t competing (Treasure on his end just leaves Propeller alone.)

My unpopular opinion about this character: Shit, I don’t think I actually have one for him.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: Shovel Knight 2, Propeller Knight has a boyfriend. Please, Yacht Club? :D

Favorite friendship for this character: The thing about Propeller is that I write him to be a generally nice person and thus, he gets along with everyone he can. I like writing about how he’d interact with everyone. He’s full of himself, but only himself, but I interpret him as a Leslie Knope: someone who strongly believes in his conviction and philosophy (my Propeller is a pirate who fights against the rich and corrupted), incredibly optimistic, devoted to his crew (whom he views as family), and friends. He’s the type to remember birthdays and anniversaries and plan events for them. He remembers each person’s personalities and phobias so he can interact with them respectfully. He’s lustful, but emphasizes consent. He’s spoiled and lives a grandeur existence, but donates money (that he totally stole) to people who need them. He’d be good friend material, is what I am saying.

My crossover ship: I did briefly crossover paired Drifter with Propeller Knight for funsies. ;D
