#had the day off#but i keep coming back to a pt i had when i was a new grad 2 ½ years ago#fucking christ#PEG and dialysis#all that was missing was a trach#stage IV pressure injury#husband refused to visit her EVER cause he was scared of C19#understandable#but she had also been in the hospital for over a year and a half#she had been in the ICU for 6 months#at the time she would have been in the ICU before C19 was a thing#he didnt even visit her then#fucker just let her get immortalized#said it was God's will#not my God you piece of shit#left her alone with only the company of medical staff#we did our best#but you could see the fucking pain in her eyes#AOx0#nonverbal#absolutely just a shell of a person in a boddy#but you could tell she wanted to be let go#to be released#poor thing got moved to a SNF before i left that job#re-admitted for sepsis r/t her pressure injury#in ICU#i left before i found out what happened to her#but holy shit the look in her eyes#you never fucking forget that#personal
