My new VRChat avatar, the Moonfang Dragon is finally out! Wanna' be a creature in VR? Very bitey! Steppy paws. Tube shaped body. Big licks. New digitigrade rig. Optional materials with audiolink and Luma Glow!

Good performance rating at ~55K polygons, 4 materials, 6 physbone components and ~31MB texture memory. Requires basic Unity and VRChat SDK skills to upload.

Walked the dog twice, not much, just through the park. Spent time with her though, and gardened (which she deeply approves): planted raspberry, blackberry, and Rainbow Happy Trails bare-root rose. Watered my delicate seedlings and recent transplants. Mulched stuff. Moved some roses in pots, watered the grapes in their pots. Made myself an egg sandwich. Made half of dinner. Went to the VR Game Night taur server meetup. Brought the groceries in and put them away. Finalized my BOUNCE! subsystem, which blows lol, but now I know (not to pursue further). Started my Umbra “outfit.” Polished my AudioLink/Furality shader settings. Mom filled my prescription. Printed and signed my job acceptance (still need to scan and email it). Moved my teakettle, replacing my small night-lamp. Put the new grow light on the IoT timer. Watered my houseplants.

That’s a lot! I should feel accomplished!

Teensy Tuesday 7

I confess. I did not actually make him this Tuesday. Bit of a rough day for me.

BUT.

Ales Mansay VRChat avatar. PC and Quest compatible!

He's an edit of the Rayman 3 teensies (and basically a clone of my pre-existing Grand Minimus avatar) and has customized textures and a hat model made from scratch. I tried to fit the style of the game as best as I could and I think it worked out pretty well!

He features...

A simple springjoint (right hand only)

Hat toggles to remove the star or remove the hat entirely

AudioLink on the star and a toggle to turn it off (I promise it's flashing with the bass here)

Little angry eyes when using the rock and roll gesture

A toggleable headpat interaction that plays one of his laugh voicelines from Rayman Origins

Grabbable nose and hat

GoGo Loco with a few pages of dances (pretty much all Fortnite) Unfortunately, quest does not get springjoint, AudioLink, or the headpat interaction sound.

You can equip him here! I don't currently have a podium set up in my world.

Last week I started writing some custom VJ software in Unity for my first live event at DADS (Digital Art Demo Space) Chicago last night. The event was incredible and I hope to do more in the near future!

Here I’ve hacked together LASP + AudioLink to grab an input audio stream fast & then process it for rapid & dynamic shader use. I also used UImGui (an actively maintained Dear ImGui implementation for Unity) to make the UI which works in-build.

My room is clean, I applied for this job properly, I had a good day on vrchat, I showered, I have clean clothes for tomorrow, and energy drink, I fixed my facial expressions, I chose better Audiolink colors

Still to fix is my claws UV unwrap, hind claws weight painting, and how you can constantly see my eyeballs poking through the roof of my mouth. And all that optimization stuff I wanna do
