aaand that’s a wrap folks! when i started this series i didn’t think it would last a whole year, but ive decided this is a good stopping point. i know that I’ve been spamming the six the musical tag and the tags for the respective queens, and there’s a lot of stuff i wish I’d done differently. i have some plans to pick it back up in a different way (starting all the way over lolz) but it definitely won’t be a daily thing anymore lolz. anyways, thanks for liking/reblogging these for a whole year 💕

Happy STS! But oh no! One of your characters has been stabbed! What chaos does this bring about? Who's been stabbed, who did the stabbing, who yanks the sword out without thinking, etc.? ♥️

Just for the sake of chaos… I’m gonna say, Benjamin Fisher. Or, vampire and slow corruption arc Benjamin Tallmadge from TURN: Washington’s Spies. Not just stabbed, Ben’s favourite horse was shot from under him and he lays dying on the battlefield, in Yorktown, Virginia, in 1781. The date is October 1st, 1781, the siege is halfway over and the Americans are winning. It is pure bad luck.

Audrey would simply say, “No good deed goes unpunished.”

Audrey screams. Audrey tries real hard not to have a mental breakdown. Audrey swore she’d never turn him. But this isn’t fair to either of them, and the war is not over, Benjamin insisted on finishing what he started. Ethics and future consequences can go to hell. He may hate her for this, but this is bigger than either of them at this point…

Audrey stops hesitating. Like a French Valkyrie come to judge the worthy, she rides out to where Benjamin lays dying.

Audrey doesn’t need to drain him, the bullet and the redcoats blade did that just fine.

Moments before Ben is “lost”, just enough to briefly glimpse the other side, who knows what he sees, Audrey doesn’t believe in heaven or hell, she is an atheist, for now.

Benjamin is turned into a vampire in a last ditch attempt (though hypocritical) by Audrey to not lose him. The war doesn’t end until 1783, America wins. To the shock of the 18th century world stage, it only took 5 years of war and French support. (naval blockade in the West Indies and a sea battle in India, which America wins).

Benjamin asks himself: “what is the cost of my soul?”

Note: this is just basically Fisher’s origin story, or how he got vampirism. I have no intention of ending this fic, that way. I may be a morally complex bi, but, Benjamin Tallmadge would have a religious Protestant mental breakdown if that happened. Yay for original characters!

𝑾𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒔𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒂𝒎𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒗𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒕 𝒉𝒊𝒎 at college, Audrey had a feeling that Conrad was certainly under a lot of stress. She hesitated to come at first, but she wanted to see what it was like on campus for him. Just a weekend and a couple of days is all they have together and long distance is hard. But they're making it work with phone calls, texts, even face time. She misses him when he's not in Cousins, but California is not that bad. It has him here after all.

Even the smaller bed doesn't matter to Audrey as long as his arm is around her as they're sleeping side by side but she can feel him mumble, feel him shift in his sleep. Turning slowly she brushes her nose against his. ❝ Con? ❞ she whispers softly.

But then he mutters those words just barely above a whisper. Audrey moves her hand to his cheek and brushes those curls from the side of his face with a faint chuckle. ❝ Baby, what are you dreaming about..? ❞ she asks, kissing him softly.

❝ There is no one else I'm in love with...Just you, Fisher...❞ she kisses him softly again and smiles. ❝ But if you're dreaming about Belly I'm pushing you out of this bed.❞

This was nothing like an upper east side party, but she had to admit these Cousins folk could throw a decent one. It was more fun than it was for appearances and everyone seemed to genuinely like each other. Back home she only had her small group and disliked everyone else.

And she's reminded why she usually keeps away from people when Conrad came over. She never met anyone as infuriating as him and yet she still tries to say something to him. He tries to play the ignoring game even though he walked over here close to her, and then tries to pull the 'can't hear you' card as she asks him something.

Frustrated, annoyed and knowing that violence is never an answer she instead decides to do something a little more drastic - a little more daring.

She grabs Conrad , gets on her toes, pulls him down by the collar of his shirt and kisses him. Full on, flat out, no questions asked. As he asks her then what the fuck, asks if she's out of her mind and then calls her a psycho, Aubrey smiles as she grabs a drink, turning to Conrad.

❝ What? I can't hear you ! ❞ She points at her ear and then shrugs so dismissively.

So why did she kiss him if she has a disdain for him? On one hand to fuck up his night by leaving him wondering why she did it, and on the other? No, that's basically it.
