Aurora Sya Lis Goodreste:

After being kidnapped by the Demon King all she does is Sleep, or try to sleep. She won't stop at nothing to get a good night of sleep, including escaping her prison and decapitating monsters.

Aurora Sya Lis Goodreste, princess of the Kingdom of Goodreste, is a relentless force of nature driven by one unshakeable goal: to not just sleep, but to achieve the best, most comfortable sleep possible. She can quickly fall asleep almost anywhere, even in the most perilous of situations, but prizes quality of sleep above all else. Although kidnapped and held captive by the Demon King Twilight, this has done nothing to sway her from her obsession - to the point that breaking free of her cell, terrorizing the Demon King's minions, and crafting ever-more-superior bedding from their remains is a daily routine to her. So recklessly dedicated is she to the pursuit of a good night's sleep that she has lost all fear of death, having died and been resurrected several times during the course of her misadventures. Despite all this, Syalis has grown close to the monsters of the Demon King Castle, and - when not hunting them down for bedding materials - will often help them with their issues because doing good deeds helps her sleep better, too. Other miscellaneous Princess Syalis facts: her weapon of choice is a giant pair of scissors. She is especially fond of the Teddy Demons, who have grown so attached to her in turn that they'll readily do her bidding. She actually has a very strong work ethic (because the sooner she finishes all her work, the sooner she can go to sleep). She is self-conscious of her short tongue. She seems to have some form of face blindness, as she mostly tells people apart by their clothing.

Sya spends her entire captivity in the Demon Castle wreaking havoc in order to sleep the most and best she ever has. Her sleepiness is not only in her own name ("Sya" is like "zzz" in Japanese), but in the title of her entire series!

she just wants to sleep in the most comfortable fashion possible. that's it. that's the plot. also she is a menace when she is awake.

The entire anime revolves around the princess of the human kingdom trying to get a good night's sleep! She uses a demon's horns to sand something down & is more of a threat to the demons than them to her most of the time. Also, her interactions with the hero trying to save her are hilarious

She spends every episode just trying to get the best sleep possible. She will see something she believes will be so so so comfy and risk her entire well being to get to the comfy spot. Bonus demons working to ensure she gets what she wants because they are scared of her even though they took her prisoner.

Her main goal in life is to sleep. She causes utter chaos just so she can get a good sleep. She destroys parts of the demon castle, kills demons(there's a guy who revives them so this isn't permanent) and occasionally dies in order to get bedding material for a good sleep.

This girl will literally kill for some rest.

Jade Harley:

She has narcolepsy due to some meddling from another character, but it's narcolepsy nonetheless. She spends a lot of time sleeping, but that does hold her back as she's able to get a lot done on Prospit (a sort of dream world). She cares a lot about her friends and has a lot of interests like nuclear physics, cartoons, her dog, and being a markswoman.

She loves sleeping and dreaming!

She's got narcolepsy (....kinda, it's complicated) so for most of her initial appearances that girlie is just off in sleepy town, absolute snoozeville. Also I have great respect for her ability to look so comfy while sleeping in objectively uncomfy places, like a greenhouse floor

sometimes the world just needs a sleepy whimsical puppy girl. that's how it is

she falls asleep at random moments, and she has a robot that acts out her dreams for her so she doesn't sleepwalk and potentially get hurt, but the effect of this is her online friends aren't always sure when chatting with her whether she's awake or asleep. they don't tend to realize they're talking to dreambot jade until she says something completely bizarre and nonsensical, but then sometimes she says strange and silly things while awake because she's a very silly girl (/positive) and trying to parse whether a thing she said is just her being silly vs her being asleep can be difficult. also she sometimes has visions of real events happening somewhere or some*when* else in her sleep.

I really like these two there’s not a lot of content for the fandom as a whole soooo here’s my submission as I get every moment of these two royals who literally share a braincell (and I love them for it) First up this is just on the manga if you are anime only its going to have stuff you havent seen, yes even with what the anime covers (so read it) and there will be spoilers so beware. If you prefer Demon Monk/Cleric/Leo (which I don’t really get) I am sorry this isnt for you. Lets go! SO Suya pulls Twilight along on her nonsense and also father inlaw is here

ANd it's all cause she had a dream about this bath place

No matter how ridiculous he thinks it is he keeps following, also Suya admits she interupts meetings on purpose

Suya's dreams turned out to be true and she jokes a little

Turns out the former king had made it and the three enjoy it all while father and son bond

Suya calls Leo an old man again

Castle issues again I just like how Suya is front and center but Hades doesnt want to help this time

So Suya makes due

ANd it really impresses Twilight

SO she starts making little houses she knows what Twilight cares about

But she overworks and hasn't eaten I love how over the top Twilight is here

SO they make her food and Twilight serves her directly (now spoon feed her sorry its one of my fav tropes)

After she revitalizes Suya Suyas and goes over board making a castle town

And Twilight realizes she's completely right and berates himself for not thinking of it

He cutely makes it into a competition

But while he focuses on that SUya turns the demon castle to suit her tastes. In order to fix it Twilight has to use his full power and he's afraid to do so because he doesnt want other (particularly Suya) to find him scary

He thinks his fears are being realized

But SUya is just severely face blind

The situation is explained and Twilight is back to worrying

But as always SUya throws him through a loop I like that she considers him pitiful

This eases the mood of everyone else but more importantly Suya seems to like this form

And she begins playing with him like usual

Twilight realizes that everyone has calmed down over his second form since Suya did

He is touched by this thinking he'll be able to maintain the state of the castle while looking cool but

SUya ruins it.

Her relentless search for the perfect night's rest has turned her into an innovator, a connoisseur, and an unstoppable juggernaut. Hell, her love of sleep is the driving force of her whole damn series! But she's not particularly well-known in Tumblr circles, so - even despite placing third in the total number of submissions - she got knocked out in the very first round due to getting matched against Jade Harley (no shade toward Jade; it's just that - let's face it - Homestuck has a massive star power advantage on this site). Sure, the Princess would've eventually been knocked out by a more popular character anyway - but even so, she deserves the opportunity to show how strong a contender she could have been had it not been for that initial stroke of ill fortune.

Thank you for your patience! I have finished making the match-ups for Round 1 which will be under the cut. A little information first.

Round 1 will be posted between Friday, January 19th and Thursday, January 25th. It will be split between 4 sets, each set being posted on a different day. There will be a total of 128 participants (32 participants in each individual set) divided in 64 polls (16 polls in each individual set). By the end of Round 1, 64 participants will make it to Round 2 while the rest will be sent to the Shadow Realm where their souls will be tormented for eternity. All polls will be queued between 12 PM EST and 1 PM EST of the day it has been assigned. Each poll will last a week.

Welcome to the Loser's Bracket submissions! If you don't know how it works, here's a rundown:

For about a week, I will have nominations open for the Loser's Bracket. Nominate as many characters as you want who were in the tournament but have lost, but do not nominate someone more than once or someone who wasn't in the main tournament. (All contestants who lost prior to the semifinals have a shot to be nominated.)

After the Loser's Bracket nominations have been recorded, I will take the top 16 most nominated characters and begin the Loser's Bracket, which will last 4 rounds. Each round will last only a day, unlike the main tournament, where each round lasted a week.

The winner of the Loser's Bracket will have an honorary place on the podium and be mentioned in the finals winners post.
