Can you help with something?

I feel MALE, but I don't rightly know what male IS.

What it's SUPPOSED to feel like.

It just feels like...faux male? Knock-off male? Male substitute? Idk...

Basically, my identity is that I feel male, but not a NATURAL kind of male. Like, a fake or artificial male.

It may be autism screwing with my perceptions again, it may be dysphoria, I don't rightly know...

Is there any labels I could be that is like this?

(Also, I don't want to define myself with the Autiboy label. It just makes me uncomfy. If that's all there is that sounds similar tho, still tell me.)

Hi! They are some terms that sounds similar to your experience. Here they are:

Offboy: a gender that closely represents/is most closely represented by being z boy, but is not a boy. Can be likened to what the color off-white is to white for descriptive purposes.

Autimain: a neurogender exclusive to autistic people. It can be described as a male gender through a genderless lense. Someone who is autimain may feel male while also having a disconnect from gender all together due to neurodivergence.

Neuroenboy: Feeling male but also non-binary due to neurodivergency (The person’s neurodivergence causes a disconnection from gender). Basically, being a enboy due to neurodivergence

Dullboy: a gender in which feels masculine aligned, but very muted.

One may have an understanding of their gender, but it feels distant. It can be combined with other genders to form more specific genders, such as altegirl, alteboy, or altenonbinary.

Proxvir: a gender strongly connected to masculinity, in a way that is different from how men may be connected to masculinity. Proxvir is an identity that is seperate from other genders, and may be described as a masculine-aligned gender or a mingender, that is not man-aligned or miaspec, and has no connection to manhood.

Paraboy: a gender identity that is close to being a boy, but not exactly, a boy. For instance, someone who is a paraboy may feel that their gender is near to, but not quite male/masculine.

Is there a term for being man and nonman?

"nonman" can mean literally anything that isn't "man" so for the sake of simplicity I'm going 2 mainly include umbrella terms and static terms (so no fluid/flux or genderfluid fragment sys) because otherwise this would be 2 long.

EDIT: I also want to state that "nonman" is a racist term (as well as exorsexist) and I'm not comfortable coining something with that (or "nonwoman" as definitions). I didn't know this at the time but I do now.

okay so i just saw this (https://www.tumblr.com/themogaidragon/721175822042628096/can-you-help-with-something-i-feel-male-but-i) old post of yours and i feel like "autimain" is the best description of my gender i've seen thus far, outside of "dullboy"/"dullgender". for the sake of elaborating, the best way i think i can describe my gender is that i *guess* i'm male but i don't exactly know what being "male" is nor do i have a strong connection with it, like i'm basically "cis by default". so finally finding a more accurate term is somewhat relieving; but the problem is that while i am neurodivergent, i'm not (or at least don't think i am) autistic so i don't feel comfortable using the term. are there any more genders specifically similar to "autimain," or does a new term need to be coined? /genq

There is not a gender really similar to autimain which isn't exclusive to autistic people, to my knowledge. Maybe neurodullboy, since it is being dullboy due to neurodivergence. But if none of the terms in the list of the original post seemed to fit, I sadly don't have any other term to introduce you to. :\ /serious

The best I have is genders that are described has a disconnection to gender:

Agnogender: An identity in which the user feels connected to a gender and may roughly identify as such, but isn’t sure what that gender is supposed to feel like in the first place, causing a disconnect.

Contramasc: a gender for individuals who resonate their deeply with masculinity but has a disconnect from manhood itself.

Inkongender: someone who has a vague and inconsistent relationship with gender. Sometimes they may feel like gender doesn’t apply to them at all and other times feel like they may have a gender but can’t describe the gendered experience they’re having, but despite the vague connection/overall disconnect from gender, they still use gender labels that fit them best and/or collect genders they have a connection to. Can laso be a considered neurogender, but doesn’t have to be.

Neurobxy: feeling male but also genderless caused by a disconnect from gender due to neurodivergence, therefore identifying as a bxy. this gender may be fluid, flux, demiboy, multigender, or any combo of masculine and genderless.

hi! what are the differences between autimain and autibxy? both seem to be vaguely boy through a genderless autistic lens. the definitions seem different, i’m just having trouble discerning how!

Autibxy is being a bxy due to autism while autimain is being both agendered (due to autism) and masculine.
