Captive Bird

It’s been over a month since avablue deleted all her work on ao3, but I still miss Captive Bird so much! Captive Bird was such a wonderful AU exploring the Hades and Persephone dynamic to Michael and Mallory’s relationship; I loved how avablue showed Mallory in Hell learning to feel pleasure and joy without feeling selfish, and Michael learning to feel love in spite of himself. Cordelia and the other angels’ anguish at losing Mallory was so well done, and I really wanted to find out how they would reunite with her in Heaven and react to Mallory’s feelings for Michael.

I wish I had commented on the story while I still had the chance, but if you’re reading this, avablue, your brilliant work is sorely missed!! Please, reconsider!!
