Do the horses use magical tools when casting spells I.E. wands, staffs, athames (ritual knifes), crystals, ect. Or do they mostly just prefer using hands (hooves?) ?

Hans! Day Off! What exactly do you guys do for fun? I mean, I understand that you're in a middle of a war & all, but there's gotta be something that you birds do for fun at the base, instead of working all day, everyday, 24/7. Besides, it's like the old saying goes, "All work & no play makes Jack a dull boy." So believe me when I say that working yourself to death isn't good for your health, ya know.

What do the men of Frontier HQ do for fun? ...Anything they can manage, usually (boredom breeds creativity)! But games of cards or batball are staple activities.

Keep yourself occupied, but don't worry--There's always more Avania Mail to come--And we're almost to episode #100 too!

(This is for any of the pilots) Sense most of the fighter aircraft appear to be pushers, are they equipped with ejection seats? Certainly wouldn't want to risk getting chopped up by the propeller when bailing out!

Fortunately, semi-displacement aircraft like lancers tend to be pretty durable (relatively speaking), so attempting an emergency/crash landing is often preferable to attempting to bail out... And sometimes you find cool stuff afterwards too!

Hi Charlotte, What was your childhood like? Have a good day, bigcathat. :D

This makes Avania Mail #100 (answered mail, anyway)! I thought it would be nice to echo the very first Avania Mail comic back in 2017--How Charlotte and Una first met. (Some other memorable moments of their childhood include sledding, snowball fights, silent nights, and cardboard boxes).

The tire swing scene was also a sketch I drew back in 2017 and started to ink long ago, but never completed, so I'm happy to have finally have finished it in some form after all these years!

Thank you to everyone for submitting your questions to Avania Mail over the years. There are still a lot more to go, including some that will need more in-depth answers, so thank you for your patience as I continue to chip away at the queue!

Una just reminds me of Czechoslovak ace Josef František, here’s a list: Disregard for discipline, Hazardous and reckless pilot, troublemaker, brawler but loyal friend, Scaring the shit out of his parents flying low over their farm as well as german farmer who brandished a whip at his plane, Bombing enemy with grenades instead of just doing reconissance, Destroying 17 enemies during Battle of Britain pursuing them back to their base, eh... Dying in crash while showing off to his girlfriend..?

To Chasse (if accepted , because she's not in the main comic) : It seems you have no pants : is those cloth creates problems to you to be fully active ?

Be it for the main cast, background characters, or an entirely separate AU, the mail always* gets through!

Starting off the new year with some space-raptor fun (or finishing out the old year, perhaps more accurately, as this was my final drawing of 2022), Chasse and Catti make their flat-colored debuts on this extra spacy edition of Avania Mail!

If you’re wondering who these characters are, and how they relate to the actual Avania comic, well... They’re actually both alien spin-offs of Viktoria, with both being designed by my friend @alfafilly. Since I already had a few just-for-fun ideas for an Avania Space!AU, I thought it would be funny if the two of them teamed up with Space!Viktoria herself to form the StarWasp crew (which I illustrated earlier last year).

Isn't anyone thinking of developing a weapon using intermediate cartridge, thus combining advantages of sub machineguns and rifles? P.S. I would call that thing a "defence rifle".

Either way, sounds like a good weapon to have!
