Shampoo Ginger aka Awapuhi is an amazing natural moisturizer. You can use it to gently cleanse your hair or as a leave-in conditioner. I use it as a gentle facial toner and light moisturizer. It has a very refreshing floral scent

Let's go foraging! We found a ton of beautiful and juicy Awapuhi ginger plants. Pretty much every part of this plant is edible, even the sap, which can also be used as hair and body wash! Here we are harvesting the sap, which will later be used to make our own shampoo!
Awapuhi is said to promote shiny, healthy hair, prevent damage from free radicals, and contains anti-inflammitory and antioxidant properties!
If you happen to come across thiss beauty, give it a little squeeze!

Also, had thoughts about them. Mostly because i love the ginger lily plant (i think it is also called Awapuhi, or shampoo ginger lily and also pinecone ginger, either way the zingiber zerumbet but also beehive ginger which is also ginger but different is fun too) and had an idea
Idea: this for some of their anatomy lol

I FORGOT TO POST THIS ASK
I love these so much (they helped inspire me to finish off the plant dick drawing lol - while I couldn't manage to get the appearance of it right, it inspired the nuns that secrete lubricant!)

I haven't washed my hair since the stylist did it August 18 the day before my bday. I think I had better wash it before my psychiatrist appointment tomorrow. My bf is sleeping so I can't do dishes bc it makes too much noise.
I'm really bored. If u wondering my natural hair color it is mouse grey brown. 🐭 My eyes r grey too.
Only reason I dyed my hair last year was cus my bf said he could see grey hairs. And he told me that I should rock it. But I took offense and went platinum blond.
Now since being blond my thick frizzy hair is dryer and needs regular trims n deep conditioning. Tis why I haven't washed it much lately.
I've been using coconut vegan body wash. It's my favorite. 🥥 My bf is from Philippines and coconuts grow there natural. Do they grow in America too?
I use Paul Mitchell's awapuhi hawaiian shampoo. And coconut milk vegan conditioner.

headcanoning that lubraeans don't do that human insertion stuff regarding sex. i'm still workin on it and i'm going total pliny with these, so bare with me.
here's what i have so far that's very subject to change:
they have more than two genders/sexes (not 100% insertion related ik but i wanted to put that out there). i don't know if they give live birth through a physical canal yet;;; but!! this was inspired by this pic :')
two common ways that offspring can be made: (1) these tendril-like "stems" unfurl, each covered in polyps and the proper amount of lubrication/aphrodisiac. they join together in a sort of hug and massage/twirl against one another until the polyps become spores and release. there's another type of genitalia that exists and it's basically like, an awapuhi ginger. you know the gif.
if there's different species of lubraeans, some of them might have different ways of copulating.

Weird asks # 6, 15, 44, 61, and 66?
6. pastel, boho, tomboy, preppy, goth, grunge, formal or sportswear?
if this is in regards to the one i like the most, it would be goth / grunge, but if it is in regards to what i wear the most, then probably none of these lol i wear what's comfortable and that's usually an oversized shirt and sweatpants / basketball shorts. i would like to have a style leaning more toward goth or grunge eventually though.
15. favorite book you read as a school assignment?
oooh probably the giver by lois lowry. hated the film though lol i also enjoyed dante's inferno but idk if that counts. i read anthem by ayn rand in high school and i really liked it then, but then learned more about her and was like... hmm. i don't think i enjoy this anymore lol
44. favorite scent for soap?
CEDAR. hands down cedar. i have some other favorites, like seaberry, tonka, any musky scents, awapuhi, vanilla is always good on its own or as a complementary scent, sandalwood, etc.
61. favorite line you heard from a book/movie/tv show/etc.?
"you can't take loved away." / “life is too short and love is too long.” / “death first to vultures and scavengers.” all from the locked tomb series.
"be kind. the only thing i do know is that we have to be kind. please be kind. especially when we don't know what's going on." / "you tell me it's a cruel world, and we're all running around in circles. i know that. i've been on this earth just as many days as you. when i choose to see the good side of things, i'm not being naïve. it is strategic and necessary. it's how i've learned to survive through everything. i know you see yourself as a fighter. well, i see myself as one too. this is how i fight." both from everything, everywhere, all at once.
“the names are the first things to go, after the breath has gone, and the beating of the heart. we keep our memories longer than our names.” from the coraline book.
"to the edge of the universe and back, endure and survive." / "when you're lost in the darkness, look for the light." both from the last of us.
i love so many quotes. i used to have a masterlist of quotes from media that deeply resonated with me but i can't find it so lol here are some off the top of my head.
66. favorite flower(s)?
i think i've answered this one in an earlier ask game, but right now my favorites are bleeding hearts, orange poppies, and hydrangeas!

HAPPY HANUKKAH & MERRY CHRISTMAS!
the mood is right / the spirit’s up / we're here tonight / and that's enough
Happy holidays to all of you! I know I’m way past the both holidays, but I still wanted to get something to you before the New Year arrives! As a thank you for tolerating me and my nonsense this year, I each made you a batch of sufganiyot (jelly donuts) and a candle, with the scents of each candle handpicked by yours truly to fit each of your personalities. I hope you enjoy them!

NARI. I found this book the other day while browsing Polished Brass, and it looked like something you’d be into! It’s got the feel of a vintage catalogue, but with a modern twist of all the recipes. The candle scent I picked out for you is awapuhi seaberry, which is tropical, fruity, and floral. Has sweet fruit notes like pear and banana, then decorated with a fresh bouquet of jasmine. Something I think you’d like!
Tumblr media
JOSH. I know that you’re busy helping others navigate their lives and feelings, and I bet that can get tough. I got you a care package that should be relaxing for you when the days get rough. And while you do that, you can burn the candle I made you. For your scent, I picked out rosemary & palmarosa, so I hope it calms you when you need it.
Tumblr media
LINCOLN. Since you’re a transplant to Merrock, I thought I’d get you something along the lines of a welcome gift wrapped up in a Christmas gift. The blanket should help keep you cozy when it’s below zero. The candle scent I picked out for you is nutmeg & spice, so when you burn it, Merrock feels a little more like home.
Tumblr media
ESPIE. I saw this hat at a shop in town, and it just reminded me of you! I’ve loved seeing you grow as a person and as a mother, so it thought it was perfect. The candle scent I chose for you is grapefruit, jasmine, and rosemary! Great for good vibes!
Tumblr media
ALICE. I think you’re such an incredibly person, and I really enjoy our friendship. And to get you something fun, I found these lip balms that have different flavors to them. So when it gets too cold out and your lips start cracking, you can always pop one of these out. The scent you got was citrus peel & pine, a fresh, energizing smell.
Tumblr media
CAGE. Okay, even though I don’t eat meat, I couldn’t help but pick these up when Is saw them. You seem like the jerky type, so I hope you enjoy ‘em! Cashmere cedar is your scent, a beautiful woodsy clean scent.
Tumblr media
RIAN. Since you just got done with finals, I thought a care package would be the perfect time while you’re on break. Calming lavender is your scent as it’s pure lavender to help you take your mind of things when you just need a little pick-me-up.
Tumblr media
AMINA. Since you live that van life, I found this cookbook that has easy recipes to cook in the van. For you, I picked out a sea salt blossom scent - aquatic florals and sea moss mix to create an exemplary oceanic fragrance.
Tumblr media
DANE. I know you said the holidays weren’t your thing, but I got you that Eiffel Tower we talked about. Not from Paris itself, but from a local business in town. I picked your scent to be smooth bourbon. A scent that’s a blend of bourbon, rum, and cognac notes - with a mixture of cedar and vetiver as the base.
Tumblr media
DAHLIA. I know you said that the coat was fine, but I wanted to get you something in case we ever run into each other and your coat isn’t so lucky. It’s a dark green color and looks super cozy. For you, I picked out eucalyptus spearmint. I thought mixing spearmint with herbal eucalyptus would create the perfect aroma for you.

Reflective Analysis (critical writing)
The photo series I created aims to provoke people's reflection on the protection of the natural environment by capturing photos of insignificant and tiny creatures in nature. This is the fundamental message I seek to convey. I hope to harness the beauty of these organisms to evoke people's desire for protection, as there is a natural inclination to protect beautiful things. This project turned out to be more complex than I initially anticipated. The first step involved studying basic environmental protection issues, with a focus on waste, pollution, and indiscriminate killing. It reflects how the Earth, under the ravages of humans, is gradually falling into pollution and waste, and how people are gradually attempting to repair the damage done to the Earth.
Personally, I found conveying educational information to the public through macro photography challenging. The shallow depth of field in macro photos posed significant challenges in image processing, testing my abilities in composition and preparing shooting materials. The concept of my photo series revolves around the beauty of nature and the impact of human activities on plants and animals. I pondered how to attract and educate the audience by manipulating images. After processing, I displayed these images on LED screens at mall entrances and in restrooms. I believe this arrangement allows people to see my billboards directly before entering the supermarket. Perhaps this could change some people's tendency to over-purchase, thereby reducing the risk of food waste. Placing them in restrooms aims to discourage people from disposing certain types of garbage in toilets, which could lead to water pollution.
Translating the concept of protecting nature into the field of macro photography is both a challenge and an inspiration. Through these microscopic worlds, I hope to convey the inherent beauty and complexity of all living things and cultivate a profound understanding of the wonders around us. Throughout the creative process, I experimented with various techniques, from focus stacking to capturing natural details. Despite technical obstacles such as shallow depth of field and unpredictable outdoor lighting, I persevered.
For me, color, light, and composition are the cornerstones of conveying the delicate beauty and fragility of nature in macro photography. I carefully selected bright colors and soft natural light, employing techniques such as selective focus and creative framing to immerse the audience in the captivating world of macro photography and amaze them with its subtleties. Throughout the journey, ethical considerations have always been paramount. I strictly adhere to wildlife photography guidelines, ensuring that my work celebrates the beauty of nature without causing harm to its inhabitants. Additionally, I emphasize the importance of conservation and sustainable development, urging the audience to cherish and protect the natural world for future generations. The valuable input of my classmates and mentors has played a pivotal role in the development of my macro photography series. Their insights and advice have guided me to refine my technique, elevate my composition, and effectively convey my message. Through continual iteration and revision, I strive to strike a delicate balance between artistic expression and environmental advocacy. I think the photographer David leaser's works are very beautiful, and it seems very easy for people to focus on the beautiful flowers. Maybe I have a different basic idea of beauty from him. In my photography works, I try to add different backgrounds to the photography works, so as to enrich the picture. It should be reflected in the black and white background. My different point of view is that I think flowers already exist in nature, and they are not dried specimens, so maybe they will look more like nature when they are shot in the natural environment. It is also possible to use the technique of blurring the surrounding environment, but completely remove the surrounding environment. I don't think it should be.
Creating a series of macro photographs dedicated to preserving nature has been a moving and fulfilling experience. Through my photography, I hope to inspire the audience to forge a deeper connection with nature, appreciate its wonders more profoundly, and ignite a passion for protecting it. In summary, through the lens of macro photography, we can appreciate the captivating beauty of nature. As custodians of the planet, we are committed to safeguarding its precious ecosystems and ensuring a sustainable legacy for future generations.

👃 - for ahmya maybe?
a smooth, floral, sultry blend with a hint of something almost spicy that’s hard to pinpoint, yet is definitely present
top spritz of rain
top notes of almond and coconut — this blend of almond is semi-sweet and almost reminiscent of a hint of cherries. almonds have a vast representation, such as: “as the first flower of the year the blossom is the awakener, hence it depicts watchfulness; it also represents sweetness, charm, delicacy. for the chinese, it is feminine beauty, fortitude in sorrow, watchfulness. in the christian tradition, the almond signifies divine favour and approval, and the purity of the virgin.” coconut is used here to blend and smooth. you wouldn’t smell this blend and think “coconut” by any means. it was used for scent alone.
base of lotus, magnolia, awapuhi & seaberry, and hibiscus — “lotuses rise from the mud without stains, thus they are often viewed as a symbol of purity. since they return to the murky water each evening and open their blooms at the break of day, lotus flowers are also symbols of strength, resilience, and rebirth.” magnolias are known for a love for nature, nobility, perseverance, dignity, as well as luck, joy, preservation, and determination. they also can have motherly ties. awapuhi is a ginger, having real life ties and legends, such as “upon the threshold of the 'awapuhi labyrinth rests a stone with the inscription solvitur ambulando. this latin phrase translates to “it is solved by walking.” walking the labyrinth is a symbolic representation of the spiritual journey we all take through life.” seaberry is also known as sea buckthorn, which has ties to being a favorite food of pegasus, due to its properties of producing incredibly fine coats of hair. hibiscus is used to represent hospitality, and sometimes to symbolize power and respect.
bottom notes of jasmine, rose, amber, and sand — jasmine and rose combine for a romantic, aphrodisiac blend, while amber is a common perfume agent (but also has meaning to the sun’s energy), and sand is not only smooth and unisex, but also a call to her one piece verse. if not sand, it would have been sandalwood.
wash of black pepper — for her more brandish nature at times, and can be seen as a symbol of resilience.
@sozokami asked me to make a scent for their muse!
