Iranian dancer, Morteza Ghaderi, was arrested for making this protest video, dancing in front of Azadi (Freedom) Tower in Tehran. He is wearing a t-shirt with a quote from Baraye, “For dancing in the alleys and streets” which is translated in English on the back, the front printed in the green, white and red of Iran’s flag. The song is In Yeki Ham Vase (This One For) by Hichkas.

During his dance, Ghaderi makes the gesture of cutting hair, miming being hanged from a noose and other movements that act out the song lyrics. He finishes with his back to the camera, one arm raised in a victory sign.

The Islamist Taliban government has defended banning FM radio broadcasts from two U.S.-funded news media, including the Voice of America, in Afghanistan, alleging they were offending local laws.

The ban on VOA and Azadi Radio, an Afghan extension of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, or RFE/RL, went into effect Thursday, a day after the Taliban’s ministry of information and culture said it had received complaints about programing content but shared no specifics.[...]

"VOA and Azadi Radio failed to adhere to these laws, were found as repeat offenders, failed to show professionalism and were therefore shut down," Balkhi said.

RFE/RL and VOA used the same FM frequencies for round the clock broadcasts in Dari and Pashto languages. VOA’s mediumwave and shortwave transmissions broadcast on transmitters based outside the country will continue to reach Afghan listeners.

In March, the Taliban stopped VOA’s Ashna TV news shows, which had been broadcast on Afghan National Television, Tolo, Tolo News and Lamar for a decade, VOA Pashto reported.

Many VOA programs are anchored by women. The Taliban have banned women from appearing on television without covering their faces.

On Thursday, U.S. Agency for Global Media (USAGM), which oversees RFE/RL and VOA, said the Taliban ban will not deter its journalistic mission.

Jai is waiting on the tarmac when the Ghost lands. It's just him and Azadi. Ketsu isn't able to make planetfall until that evening, and no one else was invited.

Jai's not even certain why he was invited, but the question immediately leaves his mind as the ramp hits the ground and the small, weary party descends. Hera, on the left — the hand holding Jacen's letting go as her son pulls ahead to start telling Azadi about their trip. Sabine, on the right — helmet tucked under her arm and eyes rimmed red as if she had been crying.

Between them, haggard and hollowed, is Ezra. 

Something shifts in the beat of the planet, something that Jai has long since recognized as the Force, even if it only whispers to him. It's like a change in the air, an electric current, and Ezra lifts his head to follow the scent of it. His eyes find Jai's and there's a spark of recognition, and it's like that whisper turns to a sigh of satisfaction. Of things made right.

Then that something tugs at the center of Jai's chest until he's walking forward, until he's running -- until he crashes into Ezra with enough force that they both stumble but keep their footing.

A beat, then Ezra's arms fold around him to grip him tightly. "I'm home," he mutters into Jai's chest. 

"Welcome back," Jai answers. One son of Lothal to another.

In which star wars: rebels - servants of the empire book 2 "rebels in the ranks" confirmed force sensitive jai kell more directly than the TV show did and gave me the smallest hint at food culture on lothal.
