Happy May, Friends!

This is a little later than I planned because I wanted to update everyone on my medical situation. I will be having surgery mid June and my infusion treatments go through July so hopefully by August I will be feeling much better and back on track. I know some of you have requested pictures. Please bare with me and don't be afraid to send me reminders if you don't hear from me for several days. I am doing the best I can.

What's going on with the kids.

For the most part, they are doing well. Evee is starting antibiotics for her eye infection. The brain tumor is too deep to operate. We are treating her with medication but she got it irritated and an infection followed so we are taking care of that. She takes her medicine with no problem. She is the sweetest and best little ferret. Please keep her in your prayers.

I lost three more ferrets to old age and my heart is broken. One was Justin's favorite boy, Dorbad. I'm taking this harder than I thought I would because of that. Mr. Spooky says he is going to live forever and take care of me. He's a good boy when he's not trying to bite our friends and visitors. Lol

Maru, the hamster, Cal, the sugar glider, and our bunnies, Daisy and Basil continue to thrive. We have all suddenly decided that we love celery and snow peas and hate raisins. So I am changing up their daily salads.

We are still struggling and I am not sure how long we can continue like this. This is my calling and I will keep doing it as long as God keeps making a way for me to do it but it is getting harder. I keep requesting grants but none are coming through and donations are hard to come by. Except for a couple of amazing angels that commit to sending in funds regularly, we have nothing else coming in. I picked up some part time contract work but it barely covers the bills. I'm grateful for it but we really need more support.

That being said our fundraising goal this month is $1,094.90

It will go towards:

$260 for their produce

$138.46 for medicine

$208.44 for cleaning supplies for the month.

Izuku Midoriya “Deku” (dog)

You wanted to go for something simple with Deku when mentioning wanting a pet. He was happy with the idea and because he knew that because of hero work he could be gone for quite some time. He wanted to get something loyal that could protect you when he wasn’t there. That’s when All Might suggested getting a dog and you both loved the idea and immediately started looking for your perfect match. And once you found it, there was nothing that could have fit better for you too. It was the next step in your relationship

Katsuki Bakugo (Timberwolf Hybrid)

Did he hear you correctly? You wanted a pet, with him and not just some goldfish or fluffy bunny. No no. His babe wanted a pet as awesome as he was, well at least a close second place runner up. When you guys heard there were hybrid wolf pups for sale, you jumped on it. Picking one and say this brought you two closer together because they now had a child together.

Tenya Iida (a horse)

Even though Tenya thought he was merely going to follow in his brother’s footsteps he was surprised when you brought up the topic of wanting a horse. The city seemed like an odd place for one but as he thought more and more about it. He realized it was actually a great idea. While on the horse you could keep up with him if you go racing together. And after careful research, you both found a way to get one and found a cute little farm right outside the city together. You looked at him and smiled because this was the next step in your relationship and who knew where it would go.

 Eijiro Kirishima (a piranha)

No Eijiro we can’t own a shark. When you mentioned to your boyfriend about wanting to get a pet, he gets super excited like a little kid. And you have to remind him that your place isn’t big enough for a great white shark however manly it may be. But after some compromises, you decide to look into owning your own piranha. It was tough and had sharp teeth like him so he was a happy camper. And you didn’t have to explain to your landlord about a literal shark in your apartment. It was a nice next step in your relationship.

Yuga Aoyama (a peacock)

When you tell Yuga you wanted to get a pet, he immediately brought out browsers of dozens of pets a fraction as dazzling as him. And after several searches, you found a peacock that fit you guys perfectly. Now, whenever Yuga poses for the camera for you he’s got a partner to pose with. A nice next step in your relationship and makes you wonder what else of yours he will pose with.

Denki Kaminari (hamster)

When you mentioned to Denki about wanting a pet, he was on board immediately. You wanted something that was cute and find a way to prevent andy accidents in case Denki had an accident with his quirk. So you found a hamster as well as a plastic exercise ball with a rubber coating and a tiny rubber suit just in case. He loves his little buddy. Named it Pikachu and is extremely careful. Like you have never seen him act so grow up with the tiny fluff ball but surprise surprise. If he could mature with a pet in your relationship then what would the next big step be?

Koji Koda- (any+ he already has a bunny)

When you told Koji you wanted to get a pet, you couldn’t wipe the smile off his face if you tried. You had never seen him so chatty before as he told you about all different types of animals and worked really hard to find one that you would love and would get along with his bunny. It was the next step in your relationship to having your own little family together

Mashirao Ojiro (chinchilla)

You brought up to Oijro one day that you wanted to get a pet together and you wanted something adorable. So you went to a pet store together and did some research. And immediately you saw sparks between him and a chinchilla and you knew that was THE ONE!. You three are all snuggled and your chinchilla takes turns laying on each your laps. It’ll sit on his to keep him company when he meditates and yours when you all watch a movie together. It’s a next step in your relationship.

Fumikage Tokoyami (rat)

No cats. Was the only requirement Tokoyami made when you brought up wanting to have a pet. Probably due to the fact of him being part-bird. Cat. Bird. Need I go on. He wanted an animal that was as misunderstood as he was but it felt wrong having a bird as well. But then you found a rat and it was a match made in heaven. Dark shadow loves playing with your little bundle and surprisingly it adored him back right away. You and Tokoyami love watching the two of them play and wonder what step would come after this in your relationship if your ‘kids’ get along so well.

Rikido Sato (sugar glider)

You brought up to Sato you wanted to get a pet with him, one that reminded you of him. At first, he tried showing you a gorilla which terrified you and eventually you showed him a posting for a sugar glider you were interested in. It was fluffy and adorable just like how you knew him but the name was the selling point. Something with sugar in name and it had to be your guy’s first pet together. It was a nice step in your relationship and made you wonder what else could you create when you put your minds together

Hanta Sero (cat)

You teased about how his quirk would entertain at cat and mentioned how you wanted one, little did you know one he came back one night just with one. It was a tiny kitten, he’d found on a patrol and it clung to him like no body’s business. It was cute and even though he would deny using his quirk when playing with the kitten, you had pictures that said otherwise. It was a nice next step in your relationship.

Mezo Shoji (seahorse)

When you asked Shoji about getting a pet he wasn’t too sure at first. He was used to helping clean up the messes of his classmates and with sensitive hearing he wouldn’t want something that makes a lot of noise or makes a big mess. So you opt for a simple seahorse. They are adorable and can live up to 5 years, longer if taken care of well. This would be a nice step in your relationship, because if he could handle the calm of the seahorse and the chaos of his class then who knows what you guys will handle together.

Shoto Todoroki (domesticated black fox)

When you brought up wanting a pet to Shoto, he agreed, he’d been thinking of speaking to you about that for a while but didn’t know if it was appropriate to bring it up. You both looked into all sorts of pets and wanted something that was a bit unique just like the both of you and you wouldn’t see as often as a dog. Then an article about domesticating foxes caught your eye. You brought it to Shoto’s attention and he was unsure at first but after you talked to him and showed him a cute black baby fox that caught your eye he fell in love. Your new baby fell perfectly in your guy’s relationship and you couldn’t wait to see what else you could bring together.

Minoru Mineta (pet rock)

You decided to tell Mineta you wanted to get a pet rock. He asked why not a real pet and you tell him that’s the next step. If he can keep the rock alive that is.

Dream 8-5-20

Dreamt that college was out and I had to go to the doctor. While in the doctors office, I had to step outside a side door in the examination room for some reason. While sitting on the step outside my high school classmates began to show up as they all had doctors appointment too. My friend J was the first to show up. I think she said she had a rash. My friend K showed up, though she was MUCH thinner than usual. Said she was pregnant. I thought "oh good timing since you just graduated college" but she seemed resentful and unsure if she should keep it. Then a bunch of other classmates showed up but the only other one that stood out was G who was passing out little fliers for something. Probably something about how she's just had a baby IRL.

Then I was suddenly laying on the floor in my house. I rose up and tried to sneak out because I didn't want to see my dad (who i am fighting with irl). But i ran in to him on my way out. And i cried and said "I cant remember how i got here". Then i asked if my car was in the driveway.

Then I was in an outdoor auditorium with bleachers. Many of my high school classmates were there. We were at some kind of sale, but for lucid dreamers. At the end of the presentation a woman gave us a website that we could supposedly log on to anytime when we were awake. The website was supposedly "a60.atta" (which does not exist, but if anyone wants to try to make something decoded out of that then be my guest).

As we were leaving, I could not find my car to save my life and I could not get help even though they claimed they were trying. I did a "reality check" even though I was lucid on and off. Tried to pass my finger through my hand. It didn't work at all.... Never found my way home, but i eventually woke up

Also either last night or the night before i dreamed I was in some amazing version of school where lucid dreamers study. There were lots of arcade games in the hall. I brought my sugar gliders. There were people of all ages. We made our way up this circular incline. There were rows of books like a library but with grass under them. Bean bags and small pillars replaced chairs. But as soon as we opened the books and started to learn I woke up.

Toshinori has had TWO PETS throughout his lifetime.

His FIRST pet was HIRO, a German shepherd dog that his father had gotten him for his twelfth birthday, adopted right before Toshinori and his father returned to Japan from the United States. Hiro was about a year old when he was adopted, with a medium-thick black and silver colored coat. He was put in a kennel not too long after he was born, and sadly, spent much of his adolescence there, without a home, despite being properly cared for. Once Toshinori’s father saw him, looking for a birthday present for his son, he quickly adopted the dog and introduced him to his son on his twelfth birthday. Toshinori quickly named him HIRO.

Hiro lived throughout Toshinori’s years as a student at U.A., providing EMOTIONAL SUPPORT along with Toshinori’s father when Nana Shimura tragically died. Toshinori would exercise often with the help of his pooch, jogging and running and hiking with Hiro at his side to train. Hiro was never a completely outdoors dog, being kept indoors most of the time, while being taken for walks daily and being let out into the backyard to run more freely.

Hiro was also a very PROTECTIVE dog, especially towards Toshinori after Nana’s passing, which is a part of a German shepherd’s nature. Both Toshinori and his father trained Hiro properly so that he would not attack visitors or those outside when he was taken for walks. Hiro was also incredibly PLAYFUL, and enjoyed ‘wrestling’ with Toshinori often, while also roughly playing with several toys bought for him.

Hiro sadly passed away when Toshinori was twenty-five, and his father informed him that although Toshinori wasn’t home during his passing, he passed away PEACEFULLY of old age, tail managing to wag happily until the very end.

The SECOND pet that Toshinori has had in his life is his most recent pet, HONEY the Flemish giant rabbit.

Flemish giant rabbits are uncommon in most countries, and since they are now coveted as PETS after humans realized their bone-to-meat ratio was worthless for using them for meat, they are exported throughout the world to be cared for as pets. HOWEVER, not everyone exports them properly or treats them humanely.

During a raid with police and other heroes, Toshinori found himself in a room full of ‘exotic’ animals that weren’t being properly cared for, being ABUSED instead. Other than several Flemish giant rabbits being there, other animals accounted for were: hedgehogs, bush babies, sugar gliders, kinkajous, axolotls, several species of fox, and several big cats, including white tigers and ligers. Every animal was reported being abused by their ‘caretakers’, and many of them were being forced to breed in order to produce ‘different’ or ‘rare’ offspring with different traits.

As for the Flemish giants, there was a male and a female, excluding their three litters of kits. The female was completely EXHAUSTED from being forced to breed several times within only a few months, and was found to be pregnant when the raid took place, and due to her exhaustion, several of her kits had died due to dehydration and starvation, and those that weren’t dead were very close to it. Seeing so many rabbits in pain BROKE Toshinori’s heart, and they were the first critters that Toshinori helped, while other heroes and animal experts took care of the other animals.

By the end of it all, Toshinori had ADOPTED the female Flemish giant and taken it into his care, while the male was taken into care and later sold after his recovery. The kits that had survived the ordeal were also put into care, and due to their young age, have not been put up for sale just yet. He named the rabbit HONEY (spelled HANI in romanji).

After Honey gave birth to the litter she was pregnant with with the help of veterinarians, Toshinori allowed her kits to be taken into care by them so that Honey would no longer have to overexert herself and care for yet another litter. He was given a specific feeding and exercise regiment to get Honey back into shape after being starved and forced to give birth multiple times, despite only being a YEAR old. Once she had rested after giving birth, she was spayed so that nothing like this could ever happen to her again.

After a few months of being incredibly FRIGHTENED and shaken by her experiences, and being taken care of by Toshinori, Honey has become very happy and lives a much better life with Toshinori. He provides her with food, proper care, and a happy home, while Honey provides him with emotional relief after everything he experiences as a hero.

Honey has a sandy-colored pelt with relatively short yet fluffy fur, and a fully grown dewlap (although she no longer has a use for it). She’s known to be very docile and incredibly relaxed, and now that she’s almost completely recovered from all of her traumas, she’s known to preform ‘FLOPS’ around Toshinori very often. She has a long life expectancy ahead of her, despite her traumatic experiences, and is expected to live to the ripe age of eleven or twelve under Toshinori’s great care.

Honey is legally registered as both an EMOTIONAL SUPPORT animal and a THERAPY animal. She is brought with ALL MIGHT to charity events and shelters to provide emotional support to those in need, and she is openly known by the public as his pet.

Honey resides in Toshinori’s home as a free-roaming rabbit, and her favorite treats are apples and pineapple. She has a tendency to chew on clothes, but Toshinori is disciplining her to get out of the bad habit.

My first blog of 2021! ❤

This are going great! We bought a house on January 21st, and moved I maybe 3 weeks ago? Time has just flown by!

Jus a small house at 1248 square for, but it's perfect for us! 3 bedrooms, 2 bath. It's so get to have a 2nd bathroom!

If you're just reading this and know nothing about me. Our family consists of my me (Sasha), husband Mark, best friend Nathan and my step daughter Sierra! Though, I think of her as my own! Mark and I have been together since November 2014 and married since April 21st 2018. Nathan had been in my life since we were 20, most of our lives really. We were together 13 years and remain close friends. He's family to me. Mark and Nathan consider each other their best friend as well.

We just got a puppy in January, her name is Fifi. Her mom was supposed to be great Pyrenees and collie mixed. Though, that's meet mother dog's mom's breed. I don't know what mom's dad was. And Fi's dad was supposed to be boxer mix. Her ears are staying to stand up, making her lol husky or white shepherd, though.

We have three cats. Princess is my baby, I've had her the longest. She's a pretty muted calico. Saphyrre is a flame point Siamese mix. And Prissy is the cat from hell! Lol Love her, but she's so mean. She's a tiny seal point Siamese mix. We also have sugar gliders and a tarantula.

We have one rooster, Demtri.he's a Russian Orloff. Planning to get some hens and build a bigger coop as soon as we can! I have missed having chickens!

The thing I love most about owning our house, it's not having to deal with a landlord. Especially a difficult landlord.

This is our permanent home! Not doing this house buying process again and definitely never renting again!!!! Not to mention the whole drawn out moving process!

I love the yard, it's not a lot of land, Ionly .65 acre, but it is a pretty big yard for my gardening! And entertaining!

Everything happened really fast worth this house. We had looked at a couple houses. One had a flooded basement. One we liked, but it went into contact really quick after we decided on it. It's ok, most of the land was too steep to use anyway. And then another that just Mark and looked at went to contract fast as well.

This house, got a notification on zillow that it was just listed. For sale by owner. They didn't give a phone number in their ad, so we went straight to Abingdon the next day to get the number off the sign! Called them, looked at it the next day and made an offer right then. Thought I was going to do the contract, until I looked at one and said, nope! Hiring a realtor. It was just an extra $3000 added on to the mortgage. (You have to pay your own realtor when you're going through "for sale by owner"', or do it all yourself). I know it was fast, to make an offer like that so quick, but I felt like home as I walked through it. It's far, far faaaar from perfect! There are some things I want to change! But, it's home. I'll get out the way I want it eventually!

Several weeks later, it was ours. 💕

I'm getting ready to paint the living room, hopefully this week, and also remove the wallpaper in the bedroom. No fun at all! I think I went with TOO pink of a shade for the bedroom, was trying to go for a rose color. And though the pink shade in the living room is a little more of a muted pink, thinking I should have went with something more neutral. I hope it looked good. The living room will look better when we are able to change it that ugly red carpet to a beige.

The neighbors seem really nice here. Hoping we got lucky with good neighbors again.

Can't wait for spring to set in!!!! A coupe days I the last week have been so warm and spring like! We have a rainy day today, so not too bad.

I have all my roses to plant, if they make it until then. Several garden spots to start.

I hope I have mire energy when it comes time to garden. I go through times with no energy, feeling extra fatigued. Lately I've been getting tired daily, aching all over. Especially my left leg, I hurt my hip and have had pain all the way down my leg for days. I wish a doctor could figure out why I stay tired and sometimes really achy.

I do feel a lot better in the new house than I did in the old house in Bristol. I stayed even more tired, slept a lot, and just didn't feel good in general. I think it may have been the mold in the house doing it.

I will write more another time. ❤

sometimes jane’s young adulthood has felt like one massive statistic, because she’s a single mother who’s the daughter of a single mother. when ally gillespie suddenly found herself pregnant just as young, she decided not to tell the father ( who’d never been much more than a one-night-stand anyway, she’d later confide to her daughter ) and raise the child on her own ; having that resource and support helped jane to come to the decision that she could raise sammy on her own too. jane doesn’t know who her father is, and has never paid him much mind ( it’s hard to miss a father figure when you’ve got eighteen guys in the tech crew who’re more than happy to show you how to change your first tire ). she’s still clung to the few details she does have about him, but mostly out of the idea that she should.

TWO: do you get along with your parent/s?? if both are in the picture do you have a favored parent?

ally gillespie: the woman, the inspiration. jane’s grandparents, of a more traditional mind, weren’t in the picture after they discovered their daughter had gotten herself knocked up, so ally didn’t have any on-hand family to turn to when she needed a baby-sitter. thank god her work in the costume dept allowed her to bring jane along so long as she was well-behaved. so there wasn’t a second jane didn’t spend at her mother’s side as she was growing up — and even tho they did have a falling out around the time jane was entering puberty and faced the insecurities most middle-school girls have to deal with, they reconciled later. and jane would 110% be that lame-oid who means it when they say that their mom is their best friend, because they’ve only grown closer out of the shared experience of raising sammy. when jane needs someone to look after her son, ally’s the first to volunteer, eager to provide for her daughter what her parents never did for her.

THREE: do you have any siblings? if yes, what’s their names? age? how do you get along with them?

n/a - jane was a   “ happy accident ”   baby, or so her mom tells her, and ally hasn’t jumped to have any other kids since.

FOUR: in childhood, what was your favorite toy?? if you didn’t have one; what was your favorite game or past time?

jane was big on “creative creativity” as a real little kid — meaning that she’d take the walls with markers and paints or drag all of the pots and pans out of the cupboard to make an amateur’s drum set if she had to. this got old real fast, and ally decided to hunt around some local flea markets for Proper Art and Music Supplies for jane, b/c if she was going to follow in her mom’s footsteps for creativity she’d rather her daughter not follow the example of treating her stuff like shit. so jane went from wall art to canvases, and from pots and pans to toy instruments scrounged from garage sales. it worked out p okay

FIVE: as a child what was your favorite color, animal, food, television show, and hobby?? feel free to replace any of these with something of your choosing, or add more all together.

color: rotated every day of the week jesus h christ ; as she got older, she got fonder of white since it;s helpful when she’s painting ( that’s not something she shares tho, because it’s just so damn boring ) ; animal: sugar glider ( one of the boom ops always carried one around in their pocket ) ; tv show: barney, 100% here for the crafts and singing purple dinosaur ; hobby: see above !!

SIX: who was your childhood best friend? what were they like? how did you meet? are you still friends to this day?

jane was much more open as a kid, making fast friends of........literally everyone lol, but her closest friends were her fellow children on set. whether it was the child actors or the kids of the crew. she still keeps in contact with a few of them, but mostly divorced herself from a lot of her early positive memories in media to preserve them since her experience since has been so shitty. like, she completely cut a lot of her closest friends out and it wouldn’t be surprising if a few held a grudge against her for that

SEVEN: what was school like for you?? did you go to a public or a private school? were you home schooled? did you love it? hate it? tolerate it? what was your favorite subject? feel free to answer with as much or as little detail as you’d like!

jane fluxed between being home schooled and in public school all her life ; it just depended on ally’s availability, and if they needed to jet off to the caribbean for months at a time for the latest c-com they both had to go. she learned pretty quickly that she preferred the freedom of home schooling, able to study what she needed to know however she liked, and suffered but made do with the rigidity of public school. college was the best time of jane’s schooling, and she’s still so sour over having dropped out to commit to b u. she fully plans on going back to school as soon as she can.

EIGHT: what was a fear you had as a child that doesn’t make much sense to you now?? did you have one? if not; what did you want to be when you grew up? did you change your mind a lot?

l i s t e n ; after spending almost her entire childhood around sets, jane grew up thinking that quicksand was going to be a much bigger problem in her adult life than it turned out to be. there wasn’t hardly an adventure series that didn’t feature the stuff, so she just assumed that was something she would need to be prepared for

There faces portrayed desperation and somehow guilt, while shaking vigorously. I could absolutely no longer hold back tears as the two babies called to each other through the cage bars and their bony fingers reached for us. They avoided our gaze as much as possible, but as I bent down one of them lifted their eyes and the absolute look of desolation and fear sent shivers down my spine. I held their fingers and they did nothing but tighten their grip, until I had to let go. Beyond this, the market is crowded with old sheds, each selling animals in worst conditions than the previous. There are baby Sugar Gliders (Endangered animals that are illegal for sale) fed milk solutions through a bottle, Luwaks (Precious indonesian animals used to make Luwak Coffee) squished in cages hyperventilating, and humongous night bats huddled together in a giant mass with open head wounds. There are owls in cages barely large enough to spread their wings, and dogs including Golden Retrievers, Daschuns and a Pregnant pitbull, passing back and forth in their cramped cages going wild to get affection. Rare snakes and lizards are kept in glass tanks of dirty water, even featuring an incredibly large and wide snake, resembling an anaconda, as a center attraction of the market. I still carry a heavy heart knowing that tourists are primarily the ones keeping this market thriving, and that nobody has taken significant action to stop it. Doing some research on this market, I have realized that this is not an unpopular opinion. The majority of reviews and blogs written on this market describe the pitiful state of this popular tourist attraction, and the strong discouragement for tourists to encourage this. I urge that this is an extremely urgent issue, and although this is only part of a much bigger picture of illegal animal trafficking, action taken against this market will significantly impact thousands of animal's lives now and in the furture. I am aware that this is an issue that is extremely difficult to solve, and that selling animals from exotic locations and domesticated pets industry provides a source of income for many families in poverty-stricken areas. Illegal animal trafficking,"puppy mills", dog fighting and animal abuse is common in areas like Indonesia, and involves international clientele requesting rare and exotic animals. I hope that by bringing awareness to this issues and by making efforts to end this specific market, Indonesian organizations will impose stricter rules on animal sales and increase efforts to stop wildlife traffickers. If we reach the goal of 1,000 signatures, "Animal Friends Jogjakrta" will be urged to take action, as they have the power and resources to do so. Every single signature for this petition will help towards the end goal of having this cruel market shut down, and will have a big impact in spreading awareness for illegal animal trafficking and a small step towards ending this industry throughout the world.
