They actually made Cinnabar's Pokemon Lab more unpleasant, it's filled with a ton of failed experiments and Missingnos.
"Our experiment was a failure. Its existence was wiped even from the world it came from." Going by the Bad Egg Key Item and that you can find M-Phione in this dungeon, 'M was potentially once Manaphy.
"It's unknown whether it was once human or Pokemon." (Either way, I don't think having your body corrupted like that would be a pleasant or painless experience. Fuck.)
(On another note, even before I got to this area, I was thinking it would be cool for the Pokemon games to introduce a new type chart in the future like this game does, maybe even play around a bit with the idea of alternate dimensions further than they did in Sun and Moon, for GenX. Really go crazy and flip things on their head, y'know?)

bonus:
escape from lavender town:game maker game using assets of pokemon yellow based on the lavender town syndrome rumors, very short, heavy flashing warning, the sequence after the game is closed might induce nausea.
uhcakip.exe and it's prequel pokemon death version:screamer games with some flashing by the creator of IHATEYOU.exe, the much more known mario creepypasta game, they're no longer downloadable but have full gameplays up
pokemon monochrome ask blog:ask blog made by person responsible for a lot of the stories linked here! has full art n photos, huge recommend! (note:the chrono tag feature is usually broken on mobile tumblr, open it on desktop mode on a browser if it leads to an empty page)
purin's lullaby:archival wiki for an old DeviantArt ARG, the link will take you to the timeline page, i havent looked much myself but i believe enough links have survived the test of time you can understand it (not to be mistaken w FNF's purin, they just share the design)
this list will be updated as i read more, feel free to suggest any not here

I had to drop into the city where my College is to sort out some stuff and on the way back I picked up some DS Games, including Pokemon Ranger and Gaurdian Signs. Out of curiosity I checked the save, both because of course you do that when you pick up old second hand cartridge games and because I wanted to check if this cart could still redeem a Manaphy Egg, a literal once per cartridge event.
Ranger Net was actually unlocked, which is usually a bad sign as that likely means the Manaphy mission has already been done. BUT, from what I can tell, even though they unlocked the event missions, they never actually did them. I think I have a legit Manaphy here.

Uh shoutout to Eoin for never doing these apparently

Explorers!Partner, who is either a Torchic or Piplup (mostly male penguin), that has the absolute strongest URGE to sit on the egg from the Surrounding Sea (Manaphy’s/Wonder Egg). The Hero has had to swat them with a newspaper to snap them out of it. The egg is not a normal egg—“It’s amphibious and needs to sit in that tub of water! Sitting on it will hurt and possibly lose the baby inside! So cut *swat* it *swat* out!” Hero recognizes that the egg is amphibious despite even frog Pokémon eggs being normal hard shell eggs here.
It gets so bad that Hero has to stay up at night to make sure Partner doesn’t accidentally crush the egg trying to brood it. Thankfully, Manaphy hatches quick enough and a half-sleep deprived Hero rightfully sends Partner off to go get the blue gummies. They are determined for Manaphy not to survive off Gummies so they try finding something for him to eat. Hero manages to get him to eat this berry paste with honey. Cause babies cannot survive off sweets—Chatot!
If Manaphy really needs to live at the bottom of the ocean or just cooler waters, then the team can have one of their deep-diving members take over caring for him. They won’t be handing him off to a stranger no matter how well meaning.
explorers!partner torchic/piplup going to sit on the egg and not even fully realizing that they're doing it
bonus points if hero is a grass type so they smack partner with a vine whip
explorers!hero listens to chatot....and does the exact opposite of what he says to do (giving the baby other food besides gummis and hands the child to one or more of their team members who they KNOW and TRUST and can even come by for visits ((they can't stay too too long each time but it's better than not seeing the baby at all)))

Are there more Pokémon in the old 2 au? Besides the team and the sableye crew?
While I haven’t ironed out 100% of the AU’s plot yet and therefore can’t guarantee which characters will make an appearance in the final product or how, I can say that all of the original PMD2 cast are still around, and I’d like to give everyone at least a nod here or there as a result. That said, I do have a few supporting characters in mind that I have some plans for the appearance(s) of:
Officer Magnezone and the two magnemite deputies who accompany him will appear, though I doubt it will be more than a brief cameo. Dusknoir frequently works alongside them, so they’ll be mentioned fairly often.
Twig’s neighbors, a gallade and gardevoir couple with a young daughter, will be a persistent presence during sequences set in Twig’s residence of Verdant Village. Gardevoir and Gallade see Twig as a member of their family despite how poorly her informality matches their love of courtly manners and etiquette— they’re persistent in their efforts to support and include her in the mundane happenings of her new neighborhood.
Kip’s expedition team will show up in instances of his POV.
Team Skull will finally make good on their promise to return and be back to their old tricks. Things will not go as expected for anyone involved.
A handful of my exploration team OCs will also appear for easter egg purposes— Team Crypt will be chasing leads on unsolved mysteries in the background at some point, you can count on it.
Walrein and Manaphy might appear, I’m not too sure— but if they do, Manaphy will swiftly return to the throne of Ultimate Chaos Child with a thunderous declaration of “do you have games on your phone.” Not literally, but something to that effect.
Chatot and Wigglytuff will pay Kip a visit when he returns to Treasure Town, and Chatot’s poorly-veiled worried mother hen tendencies will come out in full force when he suspects something sinister about Twig’s failure to greet Kip as she had told Chatot she intended to.
Drowzee shows up at the worst of times and nearly gets beheaded as a result.
Cresselia will appear to provide a much-needed item and break some extremely bad news.
I plan on giving every major supporting character from PMD2 a line or three saying what they’re up to, even if they don’t appear on screen, per se. For example— in The Present is a Gift, Bidoof is training as Wigglytuff’s apprentice to become the next Guildmaster, and Marill has joined the guild as the newest member!

SHINY MANAPHY!! In 1786 egg hatches. I'm kind of in disbelief honestly - this is a shiny I always kinda felt I would never get, it's so fucking cool to see it on my game - and in less than 2000 eggs, too!! Approx. 3600 non-manaphy encounters and no phases.
My thoughts on this hunt are that it's not as bad as people make it out to be. It's easy to get into a rhythm with it and if you have a show or something to focus on, the encounters stack up surprisingly fast.

Have not talked about Blur/Blight Kuroshipping for a hot minute, so;
After the events of Relic Castle arc, the league asks Hilbert if he's alright with being Cheren's roommate for the time being. Hilbert accepts this eagerly.
Cheren still teaches, but he spends his weekends at Castelia City. Hilbert helps him travel around.
Besides helping Cheren, Hilbert's job is mostly assisting with league efforts in keeping Unova safe- and that also includes melting down the remaining ice from Team Plasma's attack.
On days when they're separated, Nate is all too happy to take Hilbert's place and help out Cheren as much as he needs- but he also reminds Hilbert to call often, as Cheren still hasn't gotten over his disappearance, and tends to freak out when Hilbert doesn't pick up.
Similarly, Hilbert freaks out when he sees Cheren's empty bed in the condo. He's always terrified of something bad happening to him, which is justified since he's seen his best friend dead three separate times.
They eventually start swapping Pokemon around to help with the separation anxiety. Hilbert's Emboar and Braviary accompany Cheren to therapy, while Cheren's Lopunny and Stoutland accompany Hilbert around the region.
Minccheri still hates Hilbert. </3 Kitty likes him though. Most of their Pokemon adore each other. Reshiram especially makes sure to be careful around Cheren.
At some point throughout the year, the Manaphy egg hatches. They take care of the Manaphy together, and though it's under Cheren's name, Manaphy technically belongs to both of them.
At the end of the year, after retaking his gym leader exam, Hilbert asks Cheren if he wants him to move out- the league only asked him to stay with Cheren as long as he was still recovering after all. Cheren is the one that tells him to stay, and they've been living together since.

Saw others making Twisted Wonderland X Pokemon content, and I thought I'd join in! This is my Pokemon Trainer OC and their team! Hopefully I'll do some short scenes with them and the boys here soon :3c
Tumblr media
More writing with these guys: [To Be Added Soon]
Tumblr media
(Here's the picrew I used if your interested)
Yew Ironwood
Genderfluid (they/she/he/it. Honestly could go for just about any gender and/or pronoun given the mood/circumstance)
A resourceful and honorable Pokemon Trainer who has been out on their journey for many years. While they know them and their Pokemon's limits, Yew isn't afraid to push themselves if the situation calls for it. While out on their journey, Yew had managed to collect virtually every Badge available. Even though that proves their great power, Yew hasn't claimed any titles like Champion or Gym Leader despite qualifying for it.
Yew somehow found himself at Night Raven College while he was on his way back to Nimbasa City to meet up with his Uncle Morose for Uncle Morose's birthday. Yew initially tried to fly straight back home, only to realize that he didn't recognize the world at all. Begrudgingly, the Pokemon Trainer accepted Crowley's offer to stay at Night Raven College until they found a way back to his own world.
Yew is a trainer first and a student second. She loves to battle, which isn’t really considered normal in Twisted Wonderland. Some people believe that she is aggressive because of this, but in reality Yew means these battles in the friendliest way possible.
Yew had had a lot of difficulty settling into Twisted Wonderland. They're used to traveling around a lot since they were on their journey. Despite this, Yew is incredibly curious of Twisted Wonderland and is constantly asking questions about it. Some questions may be "stupidly" obvious to the people of Twisted Wonderland, so Yew often has to remind them that they're not from there. Strangely they seem almost... Ansty being in one place for so long...
Tumblr media
Annabeth the Hydreigon
Female (She/her)
Yew’s first pokemon and partner. They're practically inseparable and usually go everywhere together. Annabeth is surprisingly docile for a Hydreigon. She'll only display her brutal nature if she feels like she, Yew, or any of their Pokemon are threatened.
The two smaller heads have retained a little bit of their personality upon evolving, which is highly unusual for Hydreigons. Because of this, Yew has named each of the heads so that she can refer to each of them if needs be (An the right head, Na the left head, and Beth the main head). Any time Annabeth is curious about something she'll bite it gently.
Tumblr media
Kayden the Arcanine
Male (he/him)
A playful goof who loves to mess around. His lighthearted nature has stopped many bad days from ruining the team’s spirits. Kayden loves cuddles and will gather up the entire team for a cuddle pile when the nights get cold.
Kayden once belonged to Yew’s father, who passed away a few years before she went on her journey. Kayden feels like it’s his responsibility to raise and protect her on behalf of his old trainer. He is a constant source of comfort for Yew through countless trials.
Tumblr media
Lapis the Manaphy, Prince of the Sea
Bigender (he/she)
Yew found Lapis as an egg caught in a tidepool when visiting the beach with uncle Morose. Yew tried to move the egg back to the ocean when it hatched. Yew and uncle Morose looked for Lapis’s family, but when they couldn’t find them, Yew begged Uncle Morose to let them raise the small blue Pokemon.
Shortly after that Team Rocket began hunting the both of them, since Team Rocket wanted to get to the Sea Temple. Uncle Morose tried his best to hide Yew and Lapis from Team Rocket by claiming that Lapis was just a Phione instead of the mythical Manaphy. By doing this among other things, Uncle Morose was able to keep them hidden until Yew set off on their journey.
Due to his young age, Lapis is still very childish and naive. She is still learning about the world and why she is so important to it. One day though, Lapis is destined to return to the sea to fulfill his role as the Prince of the Sea.
Tumblr media
Maylee the shiny Mawile
Female (she/her)
A shiny Mawile that Yew met on their journey. Yew helped Maylee after she had injured herself in a fight. Yew carefully nursed the wild Mawile back to health before asking her if she wanted to join the team. Due to this, Maylee feels undying loyalty to Yew.
Relatively shy, Maylee doesn’t like to make a scene out of anything. She’d much rather hide away in the background. However, Maylee does have high standards, which she holds the entire team to. This sometimes causes conflicts in the team, but they all understand Maylee has the best of intentions.
Tumblr media
Relic the Sigilyph
Nonbinary (it/its)
Relic met Yew when the young trainer had gotten separated from his Pokemon in some ruins. Relic led Yew back to his team. Yew didn't have much to offer the wild Sigilyph to show his thanks, so Yew offered his water bottle to it. Relic, who absolutely loves water, was overjoyed and decided to join Yew on his journey from then on.
Relic is quite expressive for a Sigilyph and expresses itself through various body movements. To most people these wild flailings mean nothing, but Yew has managed to decipher its meanings over the years. Relic loves ruins and old buildings and will often wander or patrol them when left unattended.
Tumblr media
Patches the Mimikyu
Male (He/him)
Patches met Yew when they were attempting their Island Challenge in Alola. Yew had been attacked by members of Team Rocket and was forced to hide in an abandoned building in Po Town. The young trainer broke down crying from stress, and was found by Patches. Patches took good care of Yew until they fell asleep. When the trainer woke up again, Patches had alerted Team Skull to where they were. Team Skull offered Yew a place to stay. Yew accepted their offer, along with letting Patches join their team.
Patches loves fashion and dressing up. Yew and Patches often work together to sew up new outfits just so that Patches can have some options at any given time. Usually though, Patches just dresses up as a Pikachu.
Tumblr media
Legion the Falinks
Mainly masculine (He/him [individual], They/them [group])
The initial group of six Falinks joined Yew while she was traveling around the Paldea region, but during the team’s journey through Galar they adopted another young Falink who had no group. This is quite unusual since Falinks usually only stay in groups of six, but Yew has had no issues with this larger group of Falinks.
The group works together with mechanical accuracy. They have boundless energy and are always working. If not given a task they’ll find something to do, whether that be constructive or destructive.
Nicknames for the members of Legion
Captain: The Brass and leader of the group. Always in charge and confident in his abilities.
Scout: The fastest of the group who loves to run. He's the one who gets sent out if Legion needs to scout ahead or get someplace fast.
Grunt: The most aggressive. He acts all grumpy but actually cares about everyone deep down.
Doc: The best at treating the other’s wounds. He really likes gardening and berries, so he's often in charge of Yew's Berry Pots.
Hot Rod: A bit of a jokester and loves messing around. He's always trying to impress the others. He usually has to get saved by them when his pranks go wrong.
Tiffy: The repair man. He's always fiddling with something or looking for something to dismantle and put back together.
Junior: The youngest who they picked up in Galar. He tries his hardest even if he’s too young or too small to do most things on his own.
Tumblr media
Adorabolt the Rotom
Nonbinary (they/them)
Yew found Adorabolt stalking around the Old Chateau in Sinnoh, but didn’t realize that the little ghost had jumped into her phone until after they had left. Yew didn’t mind and let the Rotom stay in her phone. Adorabolt chats a lot with Yew about various things since they're the only one capable of human speech.
Adorabolt LOVES social media and the internet, almost to a concerning degree. Adorabolt constantly catalogs all of their journeys online with various pictures and anecdotes from their travels. Surprisingly they're camera shy.

I beat Pokemon Brilliant Diamond! I borrowed it from a library. Before then, I played it using a profile on a digital copy of someone else's Switch. I felt my plan to borrow a physical copy from my library was convoluted.
My team is under the cut:
First was Goku, the Infernape I started with. His Nature is Quirky (one of the neutral natures), which also means that he doesn't have a favorite or disliked flavor of Poffin. His characteristic is that he's capable of taking hits, meaning that his highest IV is in physical Defense and that it's 1, 6, 11, 16, 21, 26, or 31. His final moveset is Flame Wheel, Power-Up Punch, Flamethrower, and Taunt. I did nothing with contests. All of my team members have at least two ribbons, those being the Sinnoh Champion Ribbon and the Effort Ribbon since I maxed out their EVs. Since he's not from Pokemon Home, he has Blaze as his ability.
Second was Manaphy, which I got from the Manaphy egg event on that other person's Switch. Its Nature is Serious (another neutral nature). The egg claims to have come from "a lovely place" on December 30th of 2021, the same day the egg hatched in Floaroma Town. Its characteristic is that it's alert to sounds, meaning that its highest IV is in Speed and it's 1, 6, 11, 16, 21, 26, or 31. Its final moveset is Tail Glow, Scald, Charm, and Water Pulse. Being a Manaphy, its ability is Hydration.
Since I connected Brilliant Diamond to Pokemon Home, I got Hidden Ability Sinnoh starters. Since I already had a Chimchar, I just used Piplup and Turtwig, both of whom are fully evolved by now. Both of them also have the Classic Ribbon in addition to the Sinnoh Champion and Effort Ribbons, the former of which prevents them from being traded over the GTS or Wonder Trade.
My Torterra is named Discworld. His summary screen claims he traveled across space and time to join me from Pokemon Home, where he met his original trainer (who I also named "Duscara" like the trainer in Brilliant Diamond) in a fateful encounter. His Nature is Adamant, which buffs physical Attack but lowers Special Attack (and it also makes his favorite flavor Spicy and his disliked flavor Dry). His characteristic is that he likes to thrash about, meaning that his highest IV is in physical attack and that it's 1, 6, 11, 16, 21, 26, or 31. His final moveset is Razor Leaf, Curse, Crunch, and Earthquake. The Hidden Ability of at least Torterra is Shell Armor, which renders him immune to critical hits.
My Empoleon is named Bonaparte , but I accidentally added a space when I was typing it on my phone. It took me too long to realize that, but I'm keeping it because it's funny. His nature is Modest, which raises his Special Attack but lowers his physical Attack. That nature also makes his favorite flavor Dry and makes him dislike Spicy food. His origin is the same as that of Discworld. His characteristic is that he's mischievous, meaning that his highest IV is in Special Attack and that it's 1, 6, 11, 16, 21, 26, or 31. His final moveset is Flash Cannon, Ice Beam, Brine, and Aqua Jet.
From that same person, I got the Riolu and Happiny eggs, so now I have a Lucario and a Blissey.
The Lucario is named HerlockBones (a combination of Herlock Sholmes from Ace Attorney and Sherlock Bones from Wizard101). I wanted a name that had to do with dogs, okay? Anyway, his nature is Adamant, which I won't repeat listing the effects of. He's also mischievous. The egg was traded to me on June 16th, 2023 and I hatched him in the Grand Underground. His final moveset is Shadow Claw, Swords Dance, Aura Sphere, and Bone Rush, the latter of which was the final move I used on Cynthia's final Pokemon (her Garchomp) after I stalled it and her Milotic out. His ability is Inner Focus, which renders him immune to flinching.
The Blissey is named Gordo after Gordo Slimes from Slime Rancher. She has a Bold nature, which raises her physical Defense at the cost of her Physical Attack (though both of those are bad for Blissey) and makes her favorite flavor Sour and her disliked flavor Spicy. I received her egg the same day as the Riolu egg and she hatched in Eterna City on Juneteenth 2023. Her characteristic is that she's highly curious, meaning that her highest IV is in Special Attack and that it's 0, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, or 30. Her ability is Serene Grace, which makes additional effects of attacks more likely. Her final moveset is Minimize, Covet, Dazzling Gleam, and Fling because the strategy I had planned her to use on the Elite Four was steal their items and fling them back at them... especially when I realized that I couldn't keep anything I stole. The plan did not work even though I beat the Elite Four and Cynthia on my first try.
