I watch the Fairy Tail English dub and I am rather attached to Juvia over-dramatic inflectious speaking that borders on poetry, over the original's third-person emphasis.

I also have issues with adults speaking in purposefully childish dialects and with the psychological implications of removing yourself as an agentic actor in your own speech patterns. But based on the fanfiction I've read Juvia must speak in third-person, so I'm probably a minority.

I'm tagging this Lolu because it will have an affect on how I write Lucy the Lion, my LokexLucy fanfiction, so I am especially concerned with how that subset of the fandom feels about this.
