— missing my papa a whole bunch today.

my mother is dating for the first time in my 29 years on this earth. she wants me to meet her boyfriend next month, which i've agreed to do but no one understands why it's such a complicated thing for me. my papa married my bamma when my mom was pregnant with me. they were together most of my mothers life, they met when my mother was eleven and dated for half a decade before getting married. most people assumed he was her biological father, despite looking nothing alike. that stepfather relationship coloured what my idea of my mother dating one day would look like. it's childish, but i was a child who didn't have a dad. my relationships with men are fucked to begin with. it's not that i think there's anything wrong with the new boyfriend, he seems like a genuinely nice guy, and he really seems to love my mother. however, i always dreamed my stepfather would love me the same way my papa loved my mom. i always dreamed i'd finally get a relationship with a father figure that wasn't muddied by alcohol and abuse, like my papa, uncle and biological dad. i'm aware the circumstances were different, that my mother was freshly twenty one when her parents got married, but that doesn't change the hopes and dreams i crafted when i was a kid. that doesn't change the daddy issues that have plagued me my whole life. so i am nervous about meeting my mother's boyfriend. and today i really really really miss my papa. he was always the closest thing i had to a father.

THE SUBALTERN VOICES OF INDIA

Many of us ,truly are convinced that we have completely secured a hold on the ferocious atrocities and centuries longing discrimination against the Dalit community, but the truth is ,the Dalit community were ostracized and are being ostracized till date. Most of us aren’t even made aware of the atrocities which took place years back. During the phase of pre independent India , though there were formidable and meticulous pieces of literature , most of them were written by non Dalit authors. It was only during the nationalist movement that we’ve witnessed some authentic Dalit works. When India was getting close of being liberated after its prolonged period under colonial rule, some of the greatest ever Dalit works were produced in India, for our Telugu speaking states , the infamous “Gurram Joshua” with his outstanding work ”Gabillam” , and throughout the whole Dravidian territories we had the much more celebrated author and leader “EV Ramaswamy Periyar”. People don’t realize Ramaswamy’s influence and power in upholding the rights of Dalits .A man who passed away almost 40 years back , yet his ideas are evidently subsisting among the Tamil population who refuse to vote for Hindutva positioned parties , all because the Periyar movement is still instilled in their living. Most of the dalit literature focuses on the way we think even right now, which is problematic but also extremely normalized. In the book “KARUKKU”, bamma talks opposing the present belief of how one shouldn’t look down on the physical labour, she also talks about this physical labour slowly turning into incessant labour for the Dalit communities as their access to other lots of work gets occluded. Babytai, in her book “ the prisons we broke” recollects an unnerving tale of how Mahar women were forced to carry the feces of newly wed Brahmin women as Hindu custom required the Brahmin women not to leave the house even for the purposes of defecation during this period to ward off evils and because of the Hindu custom being averse to the idea of building toilets inside homes for the purposes of sanctity and purity of the household. It is deplorable and despicable for India , for sheltering this practise this long. Though the Sc and St atrocities act was enacted in 1989, the viciously planned Tsundur massacre which took place in 1991 is an utter disgrace to the state and also exposes the lack of concern for efficiently shielding the vulnerable communities. We do see and think India is well progressed to have a Dalit woman as its president but the constant fear of Dalit communities in competing with the upper caste groups at the grass root levels still remain unheeded.

Mansour Barnaoui vs A Sol Kwon - ROAD FC 53

French lightweight Mansour Barnaoui (19-4) is a name that American MMA fans should familiarize themselves with. A veteran of promotions such as KSW, BAMMA, M-1, and ROAD FC, Barnaoui has been around the block. The man is a fantastic finisher, having won 18 of his 19 pro fights by stoppage.

Barnaoui has been signed to the suddenly super interesting Bellator Lightweight division and is set to make his debut on Bellator’s yearly Italy show in Milan, Bellator 287 this Saturday (Oct. 29). Barnaoui will face off with Adam Piccolotti (13-4) in the main event.

The Allahabad pillar inscriptions have been named Prayag Prashasti, Prayag means the meeting place of something or someone, Prayag is the name of Allahabad because it is the meeting place of Ganga, Yamuna and the mythical Saraswati River. The Pillar of Mehrauli is located in Qutub Minar complex in Delhi the pillar is notable for the corrosion-resistant composition of the metals used in its construction. This iron pillar was installed in the form of Vishnupad in honour of Lord Vishnu by the Gupta destiny ruler Chandragupta 2nd.The pillar credits Chandragupta with the victory of the vanga country by fighting against the confederacy of his united enemies. It also attributes his victory over the vahlika  kingdom in the battle. It was fought at the seven Mouth of the Indus River.

The language of these inscription is Prakrit and the script is Brahmri. this is an Important record of ancient history. This inscription was carved around 250 AD and is made of Carthage stone it is eight feet wide and 10 feet long 

The inscription and reflect the humanistic approach of Ashoka in his internal administration upon his adoption of Buddhism. At the same time, they also reflect the policies of commitment toward non- violence and prohibition of war. This inscription also throws light on his life. After he took the path of spirituality.

The language of this kingdom is Magadhi Prakrit, and the script is early Brahmanic, in place of the 11th, 12th and 13th kings, two special Raja countries have been awarded duly named after the Kalingaraja order
