I had a ton of fun the entire time i drew this- just two dudes gettin’ heckity high- and probably talking about growing veggie gardens or something. I’m sad Jives never made it to the show adaptation of lazytown tbh, he was cool- albeit a product of the nineties.

Todo esta Aquitaine

18 juillet. Je reprends ma route.  Le vélo a été complètement décapé, le porte-bagages avant est désormais stoïque comme un bobby devant Buckingham Palace, et j'ai troqué mes pédales métalliques, dont les roulements commençaient à jouer au Petit Poucet, pour des bonnes vieilles pédales en plastoc tout aussi légères mais bien plus confortables (merci à Zou, à Papa et à sa boite à outils pleine de clés plates, BTR et jurons tailles 2 à 54). Les grincements bizarres ont diminué de moitié, c'est reposant. Je repasse par la Vendée, pour récupérer dans le Marais Poitevin la "Vélofrancette" qui me fera rejoindre la Vélodyssée avant La Rochelle, et trouve à l'arrache un bivouac près de la mer avec le souvenir nostalgique de mon lit que j'ai savouré presque une semaine. Le lendemain, en suivant (mal) les panneaux pour Rochefort, je croise la route de Luc qui vise comme moi la Pointe de Grave pour la fin de la journée. Nous ferons presque 200 km ensemble au milieu des marais puis des pins, avec pauses appréciables en terrasse et dans les vagues, et des repas presque aussi appétissants que les bons petits plats "25 fruits et légumes par jour" de la semaine précédente (merci Maman, bras cassé temporaire mais cordon bleu permanent). Les 2000 bornes sont franchies au Pin Sec (et au Teisseire citron) et l'EV1 me mène à toute vitesse jusqu'à Lacanau où je laisse Luc, la côte Atlantique et mes lunettes de soleil dans l'océan - l'occasion de dépenser l'équivalent du PIB de l'Érythrée dans une boutique locale pour me rééquiper.  Encore pas mal de pins avant de bifurquer dans le Médoc des vignes, manger un kouign aman dément juste pour la beauté du geste, puis aller retraverser l'estuaire de la Gironde de Lamarque à Blaye sur les conseils de Vincent, VRP girondin. La route de la corniche jusqu'à Bourg (-sur-Gironde... sur la Dordogne) est un délice, le reste jusqu'à Lormont un peu moins. Mais un tour en BatCub sur la Garonne et Bordeaux me tend déjà les bras. J'y savoure une petite pause avec de viiiiieux amis (p***** Manu, 18 ans !!!) avant de mettre les voiles vers Toulouse.
