It wasn't meant to be demeaning intentionally. Just a little entertaining when people find out that it's a roughly decade old character. On a side note, it does make me wonder if (hardcore) fans who wanted a Battle Frontier in every Gen actually remember any of the Frontier Brains at all? (Lucy might be an exception)

Some of the Frontier Brains are turning up in Masters EX - so far we've got Noland and Lucy from Hoenn and Darach, Thorton, and Palmer (unplayable so far) from Sinnoh.

Perhaps the most notable original Frontier Brain (i.e. Hoenn) is actually Anabel, given her appearance in Gen 7 - though she's obviously not a Frontier Brain anymore in that context. She has yet to turn up in Masters EX, but I can't imagine she won't, especially since Looker is now already there. Perhaps when they get to Alola in the Villains Arc storylines they'll add her.

Right now, as it stands with Masters EX, here are the battle facility heads not in the game:

Hoenn Battle Frontier: Brandon, Greta, Tucker, Spenser, Anabel (will likely show up as her Gen 7 self and not her prior identity as Salon Maiden)

Sinnoh Battle Frontier: Dahlia, Argenta (Palmer is in but unplayable)

Kalos Battle Chatelaines: Nita, Dana, Morgan

In general, I have a lot of thoughts about battle facilities and whatnot - the Battle Frontiers in Hoenn and Sinnoh were immensely popular with more serious players, and Game Freak struck gold with the Battle Subway. To this day, no battle facility heads have been more popular than Ingo and Emmet, and they're the only ones to get actual merch besides being on cards for the TCG. Game Freak tried to repeat that success with the Battle Chatelaines, four siblings, but they didn't seem to be picked up as well as Submas was (except maybe Evelyn, who has made it into Masters EX). Things have really been on the decline since - Alola's Battle Tree did give us Red and Blue all grown up, which was great, but Gen 8 just...did not follow up. We returned to a Battle Tower, and you don't even get to meet a facility head in Doubles. It's just Leon, and he only turns up in Singles. Considering the competitive game actually revolves around Doubles, it feels odd. I'm really hoping for a good battle facility in Scarlet and Violet.

As a side note, some of the Frontier Brains played a bigger role in the anime. (Pyramid King) Brandon actually was an important character by the time the anime reached Sinnoh, which is a bit odd because he was a Hoenn Frontier Brain, but he wiped the floor with Paul with his Regis, which was probably very satisfying to watch.

HEARTBREAKING: character actually mildly interesting to think about but I Dont like their fans

I drew myself as a pokemon trainer. Since there are no non player characters with unique sprites who use the inverse battle format, I decided that I would fill that role.

The concept is that this character can be encountered in the Battle Maison, but since the Inverse Battle format is not available in the Battle Maison, she is encountered randomly. And by that I mean she breaks in and causes problems...

I tried to make her silhouette contrast that of the Battle Chatelaines by making the shape of the skirt into a parasol, having the tall cuffed gloves instead be cuffed boots, and in trying to mirror the pumps I added weird little messed up half gloves with ✨The Oval✨ on the hands.

I also made the weird little design on the Battle Chatelaines' torso into a chatelaine (as in the weird belt thing)

I also used the belt from the gen 6 psychic trainer because of Psychic Inver. The top hat is also an hour glass if you're into that sort of thing.

I drew It on a 3DS because I do not own a drawing tablet or a good phone stylus, and my entire being is inexorably linked to a copy of Comic Workshop 2 for the Nintendo 3DS Family of Systems.

Im the worlds biggest fan of cross region battle facility worker friendship. I think Emmet would be horrified if he saw alolan Anabel.

one thing i dont get about the "pokemon is made for 8 year olds, not 20+ year old fans" argument for why pokemon games are so easy and bad is like.... so is mario. so is kirby. so is zelda. so is splatoon. so is basically EVERY other nintendo franchise, but they don't seem to have this problem?? adult fans and children alike can both enjoy those games. i feel like this is an argument that just kind of excuses the terrible yearly release schedule and crunch the developers have to go through.

pokemon fans can be whiny and annoying dont get me wrong, but we fucking LOVE this franchise and just want to see it get better. the pokemon company unfortunately knows that the vast majority of the people buying these games are parents buying it for their children, and being the largest media franchise in the world, they know that they can get away with garbage.
