Is his life's goal to arrest Valjean. I say enemies to lovers trope. Starts off as a bitch, tbh.

Fantine:

My poor girl deserved the world. Her bf got her pregnant and fled :(. running away from the trapped life had always felt like a dream, one that you had lived for for the small year in london with mark

you thought about running away again, the idea of sneaking into a trading boat slowly forming in your mind

you could take her your mum and lilith and travel the world go to london again and paris and canada and re-unite with the friend you missed the most

a smile had formed on your previous grim face, the dream something you held onto until your eyes opened and smoke covered the sky

a ringing began in your ears and you tried to stop it, your hands covering your ears in an attempt to stop the noise but the ringing only got stronger

the sky was black, shots were heard were the village people yelled in panic

you looked out towards the sea and could see the outline of a ship

a very large ship

a pirate ship

the flag blew proudly in the boat and from where you stood the bone white skull that contrasted against the black around it was made visible everytime the wind blew 

you gasped, everything anyone had told you about pirates were that they weren’t to be trusted

they were ruthless and would do nothing to stop from getting what they wanted

the stories you'd heard all came to the same conclusion you see the flag you run in the other direction

you pace quickened and in small time you were running towards the blazing village now up in smokes fire and fog covering the bakery, and fields

the school that had taught you the basics of reading and writing until girls weren’t allowed to attend was a blaze royal guards their black and purple uniforms waved their hands around and pointed their too heavy too unbalanced swords not being of much use

safe with lilith you thought, looking back towards were the small castle stood its bold flag still flying proudly in the grey and black sky

safe , shes safe you keep telling yourself a constant buzz that you repeated over and over to yourself in order to continue moving towards the castle walls

you only lasted a solid five minutes before the guards were holding the civilians back

you sighed angry these idiots being more preoccupied with holding back the citizens who were trying to get to safety behind the castle walls than actually dealing with the threat at hand

who hired them really??

being the stubborn human you are you decided to head towards the back entrance as yuo saw a flash of blonde hair headin towards the back gate of the castle 

oh no was your immediate thought their gonna get to lilith and mum

all the guards had been directed out of castle except a few that had stayed inside to keep the royal fam safe the infirmary had been left unguarded

you looked around trying to look for a familiar face, a familiar guard who youd seen at a practice lilith had dragged you too she had said it was too “admire suitors” you had shaken your head and laughed 

you had no interest in tying yourself to a man that would treat you like something to throw around but you let her revel in her fantasies 

no familiar face was found so you turned and ran towards the blonde head you had seen walk towards the back entrance grabbing a sword from one of the dead guards 

your cursed the clothes women were given making it impossible to run in impossible to fight in 

the blonde boy turned around at your approach, he was young you noticed

probably your age, his grin was deviant and his eyes were mocking as she approached 

“please” you tried “don’t hurt hurt anyone else” 

the boy looked at you with a puzzled look at laughed, slashing away at the thorns and vines that encircled the back door to the castle as he found the lock and tried to break it open

you got closer, looking at the broken glass bottles that littered the floor and torches that lit up the fogged street 

the boy was too busy with the look to realize the girl that had come behind him and hit him in the back of the head with the swords dull pommel the boy let put a yelp before collapsing at your feet

your small victory lasted a small time and before you noticed the boy you had tied with the thorns and vines from the door, which continued to be locked 

your mum and lilith as far as you knew safe

began to stir and as his eyes opened another boy appeared at the end of the alley

his hair seemed to be part of the night sky, falling over his dark eyes. 

“mark!” the black haired boy cried, his hand at his scimitar pointed directed towards you his other hand had managed to slip a dagger out of god knows where and sliced mark’s binds

mark the name sent a shock through you and you took a closer look at the young boy whose eyes were now wide open no anger shown

 but instead amusement and the joyous spark you had once known

he looked so different 

the black haired boy still had a sword at your throat and you swallowed briefly 

“mark?” you gasped feeling the tip of the sword against your neck a small movement and it would nick your skin, blood would swell

‘Mark’ looked at you again and laughed, 

the black haired boy looked confused “let her go jeno” 

jeno was like ‘excuse me ? she knocked you unconscious no i'm not doing that’ he didn't say it but mark understood and laughed again this time it was more mischievous a feral grin adorned his features

“let her go, she’s coming with us” jeno and you were both like huh? has this boy gone mad?

“umm no im not” you snapped at the boy you once knew, you glared at jeno who had regrettably removed his sword away from your neck but had placed the dagger threateningly close to your back ashe forced you to move along

you didn’t get an answer from mark who still seemed very entertained by the whole situation

he had changed so much since you’d last seen him *sigh*

you three walked back towards the village and you hadn’t realized how the screams of pain and fear were no longer heard

more than a few guards littered the floors and you tried not to gasp as jeno forcefully continued to move you towards the sea its waters black 

the walk to the pirate boat seemed to last ages, the sun had begun to set in the sky casting dark purple and red shadows above the black water that didn’t reflect any light. It broke your heart to see the usually clear water be black, the animals that lived in the waters probably struggling to survive.

when you finally arrived, the panic began to settle in again. you didn’t know if your mum and lilith were safe, you didn’t know what would happen and the boy you knew two years ago had changed so much that you could no longer read what he was thinking 

the ship loomed in front of you, you hear the small buzz of chatter from the ship and laughter

why was there laughter in such a horrible place ??

“Come on” mark said, already walking getting onto the ship, not looking back at the mess they had left behind

You no longer felt the sharp prick of a dagger or sword at your back, but instead it had been replaced by a strong hand guiding you towards the ship

the contact startled you, and you straightened and continued to walk forward the ship only a few feet away, you still held onto the rock that you had hit mark with, your sword taken away by jeno

you forced your feet to stop moving, because one more step and you’d be on the pirate’s boat, and ducked, and made a weak attempt at attacking the black haired boy behind you hitting him with the small rock you had on the leg

you begin to move away from the boat. The victory lasted a solid second before jeno had his arms around you, pinning your hands behind your back. No longer smiling, or understanding in his dark eyes. you glared at him and then at mark who had finally turned around, a sort of sadness passed over his features before he spoke

“you can’t run away y/n” he said calmly. “remember in london? when you dream about running away, leaving this island and  exploring the world? away from your father?”

his words shocked you, but you didn’t want to leave your mum she had no one else 

“i can’t just leave mark !! my mum, she’s still there and i can’t just leave her with father” a look of recognition and understanding flitted through jeno’s face and reflected in mark

“i know, i know but if you stay here and go back” the boy shook his head, the dark of the night making his blonde hair a dull light in the fog, 

you knew, that in many ways he was right. if you did go back the villagers had seen you with the pirates, being taken by them as the village had burned down and you weren't scared. the worst scenario would be that if you did go back they would imprison you, ask you for information 

hurt mum, hurt lilith even is she was part of the royals

you felt the tears well up in your eyes, and refused to let them fall

“we aren’t all that bad” peeped jeno’s voice who had softened again, until you looked at him and his gaze hardened

you forced yourself a small smile, and placed your foot on the board of the boat 

“Let’s go swashbucklers” you said, 

after all, the stories you’d heard had come from your father, and all his stories were a lie.

M6 x mc headcanons but, EVERYONE is a demon

(i thought of this. What if everyone had become a demon after the devil’s plans, and were living normal lives? See it as a wholesome twist on the reversed endings! The world is ovbiously not as fucked up, it’s just that all people are demons or monsters or creatures, or even hybrids. It’s fun, you’ll see. I’ll be putting my own designs as the m6′s demon forms, they’re gonna be different than in the reversed endings (in Julian’s and Nadia’s case). You can look however you want to, just imagine a demon form you like. I’ll keep that neutral.)

Asra

-He’s become a fox person, sporting a large, white, bushy tail and fox ears on his head. He has soft, white fur covering his neck and his lower arms and legs. His feet and hands are fox-like and he’s got claws. His eyes lack a white sclera, instead they’re entirely purple (like cat or dog eyes). Also, he’s got fangs. He’s become taller and bigger in stature, but to be fair, everyone has.

-Still travels with you a lot, meeting other people from far away, and seeing new demon species and creatures.

-Once, the two of you helped a person with the lower body of a spider to escape a pool of quicksand

-They thanked the two of you by giving you a shimmering gem

-Asra still loves to cuddle you, and you love it too. He’s so soft and fluffy.

-A lot of naps

-He tends to fall asleep anywhere

-Faust has become a smol dragon

-Asra loves it when you pet his ears and brush the fur on his tail

-He just melts

-Despite everything, despite everyone becoming a monster or demon they are still living normal lives, and he’s content with it. As long as he’s with you.

-His tongue also got a lot longer 😏

-If he gets excited or he has to laugh, he makes yowling noises and it’s so cute

-Still loves water, find him swimming in a lake with a waterfall in the forest. He’ll ask you to join him, definitely 😏

Julian

-He’s become a dragon-man sort of creature. He’s got large, black, leathery wings on his back, and a long tail. His arms and legs are a scaly black, with clawed feet. He’s got black, pointed ears and some small, smooth scales on his throat. He can breathe fire but doesn’t really do it often. His teeth got sharper too, though he’d never use them on you. (he still has his hair, not like his reversed ending)

-He’s known as the ‘dragon doctor’ and has a clinic next to your shop.

-He’s still as goofy and likes trouble as much as he used to, and with his new form he can find it much easier.

-Takes flights with you on his back quite often, travelling through the forest or just in the sky.

-He loves visiting other towns to find ‘the rowdiest places’

-These visits end with him being injured 95% of the time

-But it’s hella fun anyway. He’s a demon so he heals a lot quicker.

-He can be self concious at times, imagine being on a date with him like

-’’Don’t you think we stand out too much?’’ 

-’’Julian. Look around the restaurant. That lady has 18 arms, that man has eyes all over his body and that person has a squid for a head and tentacles for arms. I really don’t think we’re the strangest people here.’’

-Despite having clawed hands, he’s remarkably gentle with you. But, when needed, he can scare someone shitless.

-Not only his body is monster sized now if you know what i mean 😏 he has a knot-

-His sense of smell is a lot stronger, he loves your scent and will often spend a lot of time kissing and cuddling you with you enveloped in his wings.

Nadia

-She’s become a beautiful creature, (she already was tho) with massive, butterfly wings resting down her back. The wings are a mixture of a shiny black and a deep purple, as well as magenta. She has two long antennea on her head and a long, thin tongue. She has 4 arms, with a bug-like structure to it. (kinda like doll arms, with segments yknow) She’s incredibly lightweight and very fast.

-Sometimes goes on flights with you, Chandra joins her. Chandra’s become a griffon, though a small one. 

-She can get to one side of the city to the other in less than 2 minutes

-Her different tongue is a guilty pleasure of hers, she loves kissing you like this

-She’s gained a weird love for flowers and often spends a lot of time in the garden

-Though she had to get used to her new arms, she’s discovered how useful 4 arms can be.

-She can walk on the walls and the ceiling for some reason

-Her servants are all demons and creatures too btw

-If you give her a bouquet of flowers she’ll love you so much

-Her wings are rather sensitive and it’s considered EXTREMELY rude for people to touch them without permission

-But of course she’s totally fine with it if you’re doing it 😏

-Gives great hugs 

-You can pick her up with one hand, she’s just so lightweight look out for stormy weather though

Muriel

-He’s become a werewolf-like creature, though he doesn’t really change much on a full moon. He has two wolf ears on his head. He’s got fur covering his neck and upper collarbone, as well as his lower arms and legs. He’s got a bushy tail and fangs, he can see in the dark. Like Asra, his eyes lack a sclera and are cat or dog like.

-He is quieter, because his voice has roughened somewhat. 

-He enjoys being in your presence, though. You put him at ease.

-He’s always worried that you dislike him because of what he’s become, but you convince him that you still love him. After all, we’re all monsters.

-He’s even bigger than he used to be and can just carry you with no effort in the slightest

-Inanna is a GIGANTIC doggo

-Can be used as a horse (Inanna, not Muriel xd)

-Somehow, when you pet his hair, he just purrs. 

-Gets super embarassed about it despite liking your touch

-Takes you with him when he goes exploring

-GIANT TEDDYBEAR

Portia

-She’s become a saber-tooth tiger creature. Her fangs are rather small (in saber standards) but visible, she’s got two fluffy ears on her head and a loooong fluffy tiger tail. Retractable claws on her hands and her feet. Feet look like cat paws but bigger.

-She loves cuddling, being a cat

-Honestly cuddling with her is heaven bc she SOFT

Anyway, does anyone know of any stories where team 7 end up living together, genin/academy days and under? The idea is just so cute to me.

Like when the uchiha massacre happens, they assign Kakashi to watch over Sasuke bc he has the sharingan and that means kakashi has to go live with Sasuke at the uchiha compound or something.

And then like Narutos apartment building actually ends up burning down (more like an angry civilian or two tries to burn lil Naruto alive w/o care of who else gets hurt) and the sandaime doesnt want to put Naruto back in an orphanage so he sticks Naruto with Kakashi and Sasuke until he can come up with a solution, except… he never gets around to it and he figures “why not just leave things as they are?” And this is the one time he ignores the grumbles of the council bc they don’t like he idea of the kyung vessel being so close to an uchiha, even tho they’re like, 6.

And then one day Sasuke and Naruto come home hand in hand in hand with a teary eyes Sakura bc her parents were killed by bandits on a merchant trip and she doesn’t have any other family “SO SHE’S LIKE US, KAKASHI!” is what I imagine Naruto exclaiming and he takes bold defiant stance Sasuke silently agrees bc he’ll basically do whatever makes Naruto happy.

And Kakashi at this point is like ‘you know what? Fine. Let’s add this pink child to my collection of smol children bc my loud blonde baby says I have to’

So basically Kakashi becomes a single for father of 3 cute and rowdy little ones and he gets teased a lot by his comrades about how soft he has become and Kakashi is like 'oh I’m not soft at all Bc if anything happens to my babies I will fuck a bitch a up. I don’t care if it’s kids who are bullying them. These hands are rated E for Everyone.’

Like Kakashi so in love with protecting his new family that he lets Sakura put braids in his hair and then he puts (very bad) braids in hers, and then Naruto wants a braid to match bc he doesn’t wanna be excluded and then solemn lil Sasuke lets Naruto play in his hair bc he also does not want to be left out

And then they all fall asleep and Kakashi is happy.

As you well know, this is something I have to work hard to convince myself, hence the soapbox. (Can it be a soapbox if you have trouble holding the soapbox’s beliefs?) It doesn’t help that I do charity work at a bookstore, and Torey Hayden / Cathy Glass / other trauma-porn books come in on the regular - it’s hard to be confident in the legitimacy of how Mum’s affected me when stories that feature kids who’ve been utterly decimated and forgotten over the years are in my line of sight that often.

Incidentally, I hope I haven’t crossed the line to trauma-porn here. This is intended to be an explanation for part of Lorelei’s backstory and why she has a lot of the mannerisms she does (plus a few hints for down the road, but that first thing first and foremost) - obviously making you sad is a goal too, but not to an exploitative extent, you know?

I’m not sure where else to put this yet, but designing Estelle was almost as much - not necessarily fun, but it took about as much thought as designing Amelia did back in the day. I think she’s quite handsome, but it’s ruined by her looking almost perpetually sour/disgruntled. I even employed another Enid Blyton trick: her eyes are closer together compared to my other Sims, and a pale blue, much like Prudence from another St Clare’s book. Until they (Prudence’s) turned brown in a later scene in one of the few legitimate continuity errors I’ve seen from Enid but that’s neither here nor there 

I’d also like to emphasise an actually salient point: if it wasn’t clear, Estelle isn’t mentally ill in any way that I know of. There may be neuroses there that never got diagnosed, but they're not the root of her behaviour even if there are. She’s reprehensible enough without chemical imbalances there to influence it.

I understand rationally that Colby is a victim of abuse but /damn/ does he make my blood boil rn

I in turn understand why you’d be angry at him - he allowed a very volatile influence back into Lorelei’s life - but honestly I mostly feel pity for him. He’s a bit like, um... what’s a good comparison...? Charlie Swan feels like the closest analogue, though the circumstances are different there. He can try to lay down some rules and speak the truth of it, but when the largest female influence in the house is this dominant, this domineering, and cares more about what he can do for her than what he chooses to do for himself, what chance does he have? 

It doesn’t help that being willing to please and put his own neck on the line to keep other people happy is kind of a core part of his personality - he’s the person from whom Lorelei inherited the Good trait (much like Amelia got Perfectionist from Maus), but his manifestation of Good leans more towards Doormat than Empathetic, if you see what I mean. It becomes especially clear if I reveal and then you consider he dropped out of college at twenty halfway through a tech degree specifically to marry Estelle so that she could have someone to keep her company at medical school. Self sabotage for the boosting of others.

Kizu: Hm, for some reason the sleeping elves!Sefikura popped up in my head. It was certainly one of those that took me weeks to finish. I learned so much about coloring doing that piece. Seph's thighs were thickened with layers of white and purplish white and blueish white and orangeish white because I couldn't get the pale tone right. I even beat myself over it for days. Thank god it turned out... not so bad...?

Kizu: Comments ANYWHERE. But anyway, from what I've seen, people are less likely to comment on the reblog because they feel like it's rude or something, but if you feel like that, please comment all the craziest thing and reactions in the tags. Kizu: Aside from the obvious choices (the blond angry smol and the silver-haired mean assholery tol), in terms of characterization (and in-game stat), Cid Highwind is my lowkey favorite. Miri: Favourite media to work in?

Kizu: I actually have a love hate relationship with it but, pencil and paper.

Miri: Inquiring minds have asked if you have any tips for dealing with art block/slump.

Kizu: Hmmmm. Maybe... try to brainstorm exactly how you want to draw the thing. Come up with keywords that you can search by (aka finding references). Read/watch something visual and may inspire you to draw the thing since references can pop up in those visual media.

If nothing of the above works, force your stupid hand to at least draw *something* (Like, if you draw something that would involve a human, sketch their head first with a circle, and try to expand the face, where the face is facing towards, then expand pose from there with skeletal-ish pose.) If you don't know how poses work then feel free to look it up. At least, learn how to *sketch* poses with stick figures since that will save you from so much pain.

You can also listen to music that put you in certain moods.

Miri: Is there a character/idea you haven’t gotten to yet that you really want to do?

Kizu: I suppose most of the stuff I had always want to doodle *cough* frillysmexykinkydressesandflowyconcubineoutfitsandfancyhairdosforCloud *cough* I have done... to some extent. There's so much more Emperoth x Cloudcubine thing I want to do though... :Q_ I-I have this... constant need of putting Cloud in dresses. He just... looks too gorgeous in dresses. Mmm, Cloud in dresses...

Come to think of it, I kinda want to try doodling something fluffy or... school life-ish too...?

Miri: Any remake thoughts or hopes you’d like to talk about?

Kizu: 1. Have a section of land that looking towards Midgar that can trigger a flashback cutscene of Zack's final stand... and maybe his yellow flower...

2. Keep the W-Item glitch ;D

3. Explorable Midgar, maybe SOLDIER private quarters with snippets of the SOLDIER boys...?

4. Keep Cloud riding a dolphin. And the CPR part.

5. A dressing up montage of Miss Cloud with pink background and hearts flying while everyone ogles "her". (A thing that ACTUALLY HAPPENS in FFRK so I'm looking at you Squeenix you WILL give us a Miss Cloud dressing up montage).

6. We get to Omnislash """Executioner""" (a synonym for half naked) Sephiroth with Miss Cloud. In a purple dress. With a big bow. Wearing perfume. And diamond tiara. Yeap The Great Sephiroth was defeated by all of *that*.

7. Kinda overlap with the above but... maybe an attire option like we can change the party member's clothing (much like FF15). We can have a bunch of Shinra infantrymen and sailors running around in dirt.

8. Steve Burton and Takahiro Sakurai saying "Warrrk!!". If Lightning can say "Kweh" then of course Cloud has to be a chocobo whisperer.

9. After seeing the giant ass Diamond Weapon in Kingsglaives... I actually look forward to the Weapon boss fights.

Miri: Throw a headcanon at us that you’d like to see more of.

Kizu: I don't know... most of the headcanons I enjoy are all from you guys, like Sephiroth being a Scorpio, or he being the one breaking Ifalna and smol Aerith out of Shinra back then, or Cloud being a little shit... Usually I would think more about AUs. If it's an AU then I'd like to see more school life AUs. Listening to Bolbbalgan4 songs makes me think of a Cloud doodling stick figures on Seph's notebook in the library and they're playing footsies under the table ughf.

Miri: Favourite party idea when playing FFVII? They don’t have to actually work, so much as you like the idea of them together as a fighting party.

Kizu: I usually go for the OP team or the most practical so... Cloud Aerith Cid in disc 1 (I usually have Cloud as the healer/tank/everything else XD Aerith as main magic damage bc she is stronk with spells, and Cid). After that the team is Cloud Yuffie and Cid because of Yuffie's morph ability and her agility is stupid. Nothing can hit Yuffie... ever.

Miri: Do you have a favourite/easiest character to draw? Or a character you tend to draw when you need some comforting/relaxing art time?

Kizu: CLOUD.

Drawing Sephiroth, albeit very satisfying for the eyes, is a great burden. That ridiculous man has a too high standard for his face alone. And then there comes that stupid, geographically mountainous plane of a body, and his 84 miles of legs. Not to mention that unbelievable luscious hair. And don't make me rant on those *eyelashes* that stabs through the fabric of space and time itself.

the fight is historic. legendary. iconic, even. no one in the temple ever forgets it, even when anakin manages to finally get back to his own time.

padawan obi and knight anakin are both young and at the height of their agility. anakin knows all of obi wan’s moves!! but obi is fresh from training and is still a little reckless (he definitely wasn’t always The Negotiator; this is Devastating Warrior era). they fight like twin suns, like galaxies colliding, and they keep flirting while they fight. the Council is also in attendance, and they are definitely making bets. QG telling obi to call off the fight, this is clearly the Chosen One, and Obi is definitely heard saying something like “well he’s definitely my Chosen One,,”

random question: who are your favorite glinda and elphaba actresses, and why? (also this blog brings me great joy. thank you for giving us the good gelphie content we deserve)

I’ve talked about my faves before, but not so much why they are my faves so here goes:

Katie Rose Clarke is my favorite Glinda. I don’t know how she’s done it, because I usually don’t have a favorite performer. But I do, and it’s her. KRC!Galinda believes in her own goodness, which works really well for the stage version. She’s innocent, sweet, and by all means good. It makes sense why she keeps getting called ‘good’ by everyone around her. She’s also secretly a dork (WHICH IS TOTALLY GLINDA LBR). Even when she’s supposed to be mean to Elphaba, (”she’s phosphorescent” “the artichoke is steamed”) it comes across more as an Observation (although tacky)  than it’s actually meant to hurt Elphaba. 

But what I appreciate most about KRC, is she takes her goddamn time to let moments hit. With the dance scene, she lets it sink in how this is such an important and difficult decision for Galinda. She takes her time letting the words “you’re beautiful” hit. She is ONE OF THE TOUCHIEST GLINDA’S OUT THERE! That’s always a plus. 

AND WE HAVEN’T EVEN TALKED THE SECOND ACT MY FRIEND!!!! Katie Rose Clarke, first and foremost, is the angstiest Glinda ever. It’s painful. It’s heartbreaking. No other Glinda can convey the emotion of Thank Goodness better than KRC. It was like it was fucking made for her. After Elphaba’s death, she isn’t just sad, she’s fucking bitter and that’s exactly what adult Glinda is all about. She’s bitter. She’s only pushing through because that’s Elphaba’s wish. But even in scenes like NOWTM it’s written all over her how much she only doing this for Elphaba... if you know where to look. 

I could literally talk for hours about all the decisions she made. I actually had to cut some of it out bc it was getting too long. I just. I LOVE HER OKAY!?

Very honorary mentions of other Glindas I absolutely adore: Kara Lindsay (I know she’s your fav, and I agree, she’s awesome!), Megan Hilty, Annaleigh Ashford, and even though I’ve only ever heard her perfomance, I think I’d also very much dig Suzie Mathers’ Glinda. 

Come to think of it, my interpretation comes closer to most West End Glindas, than Broadway ones. This is mostly a cultural difference. Because in the US The Blonde trope is closer to “popular, shallow, dumb” whilst in the UK The Blonde trope is “classist, rich, spoiled, bratty, arrogant” which is waaay more Glinda-esque. Like the only West End Glindas I’ve seen are Sarah Earnshaw, Gina Beck and Suzie Mathers, and I think they’re all great, even tho I am a very specific about my Glindas. 

Not so much with Elphabas! (awesome segue) What I like about the role is that it can be pretty stylized, and that’s what keeps the role new and refreshing. I have talked before that I prefer my Elphabas to be rough around the edges (you got some who play her soft and innocent and NOPE), but here goes anyway.

Elphabas that I absolutely love to death in alphabetical order so it doesn’t look like I show any bias because I genuinely love all these ladies equally and for different reasons:

Eden Espinosa GAWDD She’s so good. I just. Yes. YES! I need to rewatch her some more so I can been more specific but YES!

Emmy Raver-Lampman deserves all the FREAKING LOVE okay!? She’s a deadpan Elphaba and sings like a goddess. What more do you need in life?

Donna Vivino this lady can SIIINNGGGG. Her Elphie is smol and bitter and angry and I love it. There’s also this one bootleg where she goes “As you can seeee~ she’s a PERFECTLY normal color!” and she accidentally kind of sings the “see” and sometimes I just replay that tiny bit because I love that line delivery so so much. 

Jennifer DiNoia is just an all-rounder Elphaba. Really good singer and actress and it shows how long she’s been with the role and how much she loves playing Elphaba. 

Lindsay Mendez look. okay. I haven’t been able to watch a bootleg of her in which she’s Elphaba. But I rewatch Fly Girl on the regular, and I’ve suffered through Dog Fight for her so I’m pretty sure I’ll love her Elphaba once I find a bl of her

Mandy Gonzalez so far the only real softie Elphaba I enjoy. She’s soft but bitter. Also she’s the only actress who gave me sibling Nessa&Elphie feels. She. WOW. I did not expect for her to rip my heart out, but I love. 

Rachel Tucker listen. when. Tucker. GROWLS. in her songs. I. Am. LIVING. also she looks exceptionally pretty in green, even tho all these women look gorgeous in green BUT SHE LOOKS SO GOOD IN GREEN!?!? I’m still furious she wasn’t allowed to talk with her gorgeous accent and she’s also just a genuinely good actress with a lot of passion that comes across really well on stage.

Stephanie J. Block I’ve only watched her bootleg once bc the camera quality is pretty bad but SHE’S SO GOOD!!! Also love love LOVED her in Falsettos and 9 to 5.

Willemijn Verkaik I mean, do I have to mention why? We all know why!

Also, I know you didn’t ask this, but there’s only one and I mean ONE Fiyero that genuinely charmed me and that is Derrick Williams. He’s does the most with the little that’s given to him and he’s actual a man of colour like Fiyero should be. My musical!Fiyero scale goes somewhere between “you’ve nice line delivery. thanks for that” to “i skip your scenes bc you’re an insufferable brat” but Derrick is the only Fiyero I look forward to seeing. He makes me get why every Ozian is so enarmored with Fiyero. Also he somehow managed to give me fiyeraba feelings???? ME!! one of THE biggest gelphie shippers out there. I mean, that’s impressive buddy. Well played. well played indeed!

when i say noisy and messy i rly mean mj and sanha 

and by hate i rly mean they’re his best friends 

and by best friends i rly mean mj and sanha found him the very first day on platform 9 and 3/4 with the most confused and terrified expression on his tiny face & had to lead him by hand to the hogwarts express 

they still laugh about that

they also fed him chocolate frogs and laughed when he felt them jumping in his mouth and screamed because they’re terrible friends like that

and so here begins cha eunwoo’s journey into the world of magic 

shit i don’t know how to put this all under a read more i’m so sorry for those who have to scroll through this i don’t know if this works

he’s dunked into the lake that very first trip across to the school and swears to this day he felt the great squid touch his leg

mj and sanha still laugh hysterically at that too 

then, sopping wet, he’s sorted away from his friends into ravenclaw and watch as kim myungjun and yoon sanha are shuffled into hufflepuff 

and naturally with his sopping wet robes trips over thin air next to the gryffindor table and feels people snorting at him

and so more than ever he feels out of place sitting at this magic table with all these people who Know Magic when he doesn’t

but when this quiet, mousy kid is placed next to him at the ravenclaw table and he finds out that minhyuk is muggle-born too he feels infinitely better

because who doesn’t love rocky

rocky quickly becomes one of eunwoo’s best friends too since they share a bedroom and soon becomes part of 4stro

their first year passes by uneventfully, with a couple classes with slytherin and a couple classes with hufflepuff 

their second year, however, marks rocky persuading both mj and sanha to try out for their quidditch teams 

it also marks mj and sanha’s first trip to the hospital wing because they Cannot Stop Fooling Around even on broomsticks smh boys pls

but when they wake up it’s to a stern glare from mdm pomfrey and the news from a worried but happy eunwoo that rocky’s made it into the quidditch team

and so in turn this marks the end of eunwoo’s quiet afternoons in the library and the start of mj, sanha & eunwoo camping out on the quidditch stands and doing homework together waiting for rocky to end training so they can eat dinner together 

and it’s great for rocky because that precious flower sprout thrives on cheers!!!!! so whenever 3stro cheers for him!!!! he does so well!!!!!! so proud of him i love my son

it’s not so great for the team that trains right beside the ravenclaw however 

because gryffindor’s new seeker has a sudden drop in performance 

rip moon bin 

but to be fair he literally cannot take his eyes off the stand to look for that tiny flying ball

there are 2 noisy ass kids with yellow ties making terrible jokes and just screaming every time he comes to train what can he do 

but there’s also that one boy with his books and his delicate hands and his smile like the sun and the way he leans dangerously near to the edge of the stand trying to catch a glimpse of his friend and the way his fingers twirl his wand and his-

jinjin: “is2g bin if u don’t put ur eyes back in ur head to look for the snitch i will personally kill u myself”

bin: “can u even reach me”

but bin has to turn away from this tiny angry blonde boy and has to look for a not-that-much-tinier snitch 

even though an angry jinjin isn’t all that threatening 

but an angry seventh year captain is and tiny tiny bin isn’t about to risk his twelve year old ass over some boy that looked like he descended from angels and whose smile looked like it could make flowers grow and whose-

alright an angry jinjin is Actually p threatening he’s gotta go 

but tiny bin cannot stop thinking about that boy 

and so he has The Fright Of His Life when he’s chasing the snitch, hand outstretched and fingers ready to grasp it when the snitch nosedives right for the stands and hovers right in front of a smol boy with his nose in a book, brows furrowed and quill tucked between his teeth 

shoot me i really love nerd!eunwoo 

as the small golden ball hovers in front of him eunwoo looks up, concentration broken just in time to see a red blur rush by his eyes and crash into the stand 

immediately smol bin is scrambling to his feet and squeaking ‘sorry’s at the most adorable boy he has seen in his entire 12 years of life and his face is burning more intense a shade of red than his robes

because wow when nerdboy smiles his eyes crinkle up and so does bin’s heart 

his eyes are literally made of stars, that’s all bin can say

“it’s alright,” is all eunwoo manages to say before bin is surrounded by more red robes and enthusiastic whooping about bin’s first crash

jinjin can’t stop teasing him about it afterwards though because he’s a little shit 

mj and sanha can’t either: “ok but loOK HE LITERALLY FELL FOR U”

“shut up is2g i will hex all your shoes you know i can”

(vague grumbling) “why does he have to be smarter than us and why does he have to kNOW IT”

cue third year potions class with gryffindor and ravenclaw 

eunwoo’s lowkey glad he doesn’t have this class with hufflepuff because he loves mj and sanha he really does but they’re also clumsy af and he can’t afford new sets of robes every time they accidentally spill something on him

they didn’t even share a cauldron

mj and sanha are literally that clumsy 

and so he works quietly and well with rocky who ngl is p great at potions, he’s finally going to have a peaceful year in potions

until 

that’s right 

his prof pulls him to the side of class one day and tells him that there’s a gryffindor kid that really sucks at potions and please since eunwoo is already the top of his class and about 10 chapters ahead of everyone else can he please please partner this hopeless child instead 

eunwoo sighs for the state of his robes 

but agrees because he’s a good kid 

and so the next potions lesson rocky’s stuck with a kid vaguely reminiscent of mj that he knows plays on gryffindor’s quidditch team and they get along like a house on fire

and eunwoo gets bin 

eunwoo sending silent eyebrow messages to rocky not to make fun of him & the boy that Literally Fell For Him

and we all know bin is already trash for eunwoo he’s probably more trash for eunwoo than arohas are is2g

and bin cannot believe that failing potions in second year let him be paired up with an Actual Angel his third year 

seems fake to him 

what did he do right in his past life 

apparently nothing because even though eunwoo is taken with his smile eunwoo is Not Taken with bin’s jokes or puns and he is Not Taken with the fact that bin expresses his admiration for this beautiful boy in the form of spilling bounding spider juice and billywing sting slime all over eunwoo’s robes

reminder that cha eunwoo absolutely hates noisy and messy people

and so begins eunwoo’s grumpy potions time where it’s mostly him chopping and preparing the ingredients and bin peering quietly over his shoulder 

although bin isn’t entirely sure if he’s focussing more on how to prepare the potion or on eunwoo’s hands 

he tells eunwoo this

smol eunwoo is not impressed 

and so tiny bin pouts and keeps his hands and admiration to himself 

eunwoo thinks a pouty bin is p cute but also keeps his admiration to himself bc smh he’s here to learn not flirt with his potions partner

even if said potions partner is hella adorable and thinks he can charm his way into eunwoo’s heart by literally charming quills and pieces of parchment to fly around eunwoo 

it doesn’t make eunwoo smile at aLL HE SWEARS

ok so here we go one day the prof comes in with a cauldron of pearly liquid and spiralling steam and asks the class if they know what it is 

eunwoo doesn’t raise his hand he’s expressly forbidden from answering anything in class unless the prof calls on him 

but bin knows what that shit is 

he’s been aching to learn it ever since he set eyes on eunwoo 

and has expressly told jinjin this and was consequently made fun of for that whole week before getting scolded by his hyung because that’s not how you make someone love you 

not that jinjin has more experience or anything they’re all literally in the same year 

but he knows what it is and ten points to gryffindor, it does turn out to be a love potion 

he’s determined to know how the hell to make it and this time makes eunwoo teach him thoroughly instead of sitting back and watching eunwoo work magic around a cauldron 

and eunwoo snorts under his breath and figures binnie probably has someone he wants to impress 

hell yeah bin does 

so in goes ashwinder eggs, in goes rose thorns and moonstone, in goes pearl dust 

and when bin completes the final stir while eunwoo looks on they’re both holding their breath in excitement

this is it this is what love smells like to them and idk if you’re not excited for them you’re probably made of stone 

and so when eunwoo and bin see the first hint of smoke spiralling from the surface of the cauldron, much like others who have succeeded before them, they stick their faces right into the smoke 

they’re not impressed

at all 

eunwoo frowns and looks around because he sees- no, he hears rocky’s partner right beside him yelling about how he smells sunshine and ducks and green tea 

he squints down at his own potion in confusion because he literally Does Not Smell anything out of the ordinary and it pisses him off because bin must have screwed up somewhere 

and bin just stares, dismayed at his cauldron because he followed eunwoo’s instructions!!! so well!!!!! and the potion has the right colour and the right smoke!!!!! but he can’t smell anything different!!!! all he smells is the usual clean cotton scent and a whiff of lemon and freesia that eunwoo brings with him every time he brushes by bin 

and so eunwoo moves away from bin and sticks his nose into rocky’s cauldron instead because hell, he’s pretty curious and even if he can’t find it from his own potion he damn well wants to know what it should have smelled like 

and he catches a very very subtle smell but before he can place what it is bin elbows his way between to eunwoo and rocky to stick his nose in as well 

he thinks it’s something like rain and soft leather and something else sweeter and something else tangier that he can’t place but he quickly loses the smell because bin’s shoulder is in the way

rocky: “hyung why aren’t u smelling ur own cauldron smh yours is so much more powerful than ours???? i can smell a stronger smell of my stuff coming from your cauldron from where i am as compared to my own”

and eunwoo??? is so confused???????

but jinjin is cackling because “bin didn’t shower after quidditch lmao u probs can’t smell shit over his sweat”

and bin is quick to go “nO I DID SHOWER THAT’S WHY ALL I HAD FOR LUNCH WAS THAT DAMN APPLE”

and it clicks

it’s fricking apples and suddenly eunwoo has to sit down because his head is whirling and all he can think about is how his potion smells like bin 

and 13 year old eunwoo is Shookt™ because 

his potion fricking smells like Moon Bin, the whirlwind red blur who talks too much too fast and who makes bad puns and who beams at eunwoo every time they get to class 

and when he turns to bin he sees the exact same realisation flash across his face because this is what bin smells, he smells eunwoo and his lemon shampoo and freesia moisturiser and suddenly he has to sit down as well 

and their professor is talking about how eunwoo’s and bin’s potion has the shiniest sheen, the spiralliest smoke, the strongest smell but all binu can see is the shock on each other’s faces 

and so after class eunwoo presses a piece of parchment into bin’s hand and tells him to stop gaping like an idiot and to please meet him at three broomsticks tomorrow during the hogsmeade outing he would like a warm butterbeer please

and all bin can do is stand there in awe because
