the thing is i have known joss whedon was horrible for many years now but i didnt quite know just How Much he was doing until recently and it is making me.....not rly wanna post buffy content anymore lmao
#idk i have mixed feelings bc like#compared to the jkr situation right#i feel like giving hp any kind of attention is giving her a platform whether she gets any money from it or not#bc it's like. keeping her relevant when she is actively using her platform to cause harm and spread transphobia#and promote bad organizations that she's donating to and everything#and like that's a v easy conclusion for me to come to when i have zero attachment to hp to begin with#but now im like.....how is the joss whedon situation any different at the end of the day#like before recent news i was like 'well he sucks but he's not doing the same things w his platform that jkr is doing'#but now knowing how he's like. seriously not safe to work with im like#isn't giving his work any kind of positive attention helping him stay in the industry#bc people will use that attention as an excuse to keep hiring him the way they do w powerful men in hollywood every time#like even tho i can't rly see jkr having a successful career after this she still made something way Bigger than anything whedon has made#(like he was/is? a big part of the mcu but marvel is marvel that's not His thing)#but at the same time there's such a real danger of joss whedon continuing to work for a long time#idk there's a lot going on here and my black and white thinking is rly taking over lmao#regardless anything he's touched definitely leaves a bad taste in my mouth rn
