Previous chapter
A/N: This chapter is a bit heavy so WARNING for SA, violence and pregnancy loss.
Her eyes fluttered open as sun beams began to peak through the curtains. The rays touched her face like a warm caress, warming her up. She gazed at the ceiling above her before rolling over in the tiny twin bed to see her love, her fiancé, her Tommy.
His bare chest rose and fell as his head rested on their shared pillow. He looked peaceful. She knew those moments were becoming more far and few between for Tommy. She knew she should let him sleep in, let the sun wake him when it was his time, but she wanted him to herself. She wanted their morning together to last as long as possible. She let her body cascade over his front, her forehead resting against his. A low hum escaped from somewhere in the back of his throat as his arm lazily fell over her waist, pulling her closer.
“Good morning, love,” he grumbled, sleep still in his voice.
“Good morning,” she replied, her leg wrapping around his abdomen. There was a strain in her thigh as her leg settled on Tommy. She twitched slightly at the pinched nerve. She heard Tommy chuckle to himself.
“Not the most comfortable sleep,” he said, opening his eyes to gaze at her. She lets out a sigh and smiles to herself.
“As long as you’re beside me, I could happily sleep on a rock,” His grip on her waist tightened at her words.
“I promise,” he began to whisper, “Once you’re my wife, we will sleep in the most luxurious bed in Birmingham. You’ll never have to worry about a sore back again.” His words melted her heart and soul. She couldn’t help but place her hand on his cheek, letting the stubble tickle the pads of her fingers. His hand reached up to hers, cradling it. Y/N didn’t think this moment could make her feel anymore at peace until his lips graced hers. Even after hours of sleep, his lips were still soft and inviting against hers. She hummed into the kiss, letting a smile rise to her lips.
“This must be what heaven feels like,” she whispered into the kiss. She leaned in for more, but Tommy pulled away slightly.
“Heaven would be this, but I’m inside of you,” her cheeks flushed at his words. Even after all these months together, he still makes her feel flustered.
“You’re a real cheeky bastard, Thomas Shelby,” she purred. His grin was full of sparkles as he pulled her into him, a rush of electricity pulsing through their lips throughout their bodies. She was ready to give herself to him and maybe again, but instead he rolled out of the bed.
“Let me get my beautiful fiancé a cup of tea,” he said, pulling on a loose pair of pants. She rolled onto her side to face him, pulling the sheet above her breast like a strapless dress.
“Fiancé,” she breathed. The word felt like sugar on her tongue. “I’ll never get sick of that.” Tommy approaches the side of his bed, leaning down to Y/N.
“Neither will I,” he planted a kiss on her cheek before heading out the bedroom door. After the door shut, Y/N sat up in bed, finally able to stretch out slightly. She let the bed sheet fall to her hips as a yawn escaped her lips. Her arm rested lazily on top of her head as she leaned over to Tommy’s bedside table, turning the radio on. She turned the dial before the static turned into a man’s voice. She expected the usual reports: something was stolen, the weather is gray, and the politicians are corrupt. She was almost correct today. Almost.
“Following last month’s assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, Austria-Hungary has officially declared war on Serbia.” She was awake now.
“More news is to come, but reports have come out declaring that Germany has sided with Austria-Hungary. Now we wait to see how England moves forward.” Her mind phased over as the report turned into white noise in her mind. War. The continent was going to war. Over what? Some archduke she had never heard of? Fucking preposterous. That was when she felt Tommy enter the room. His hands bore two piping hot cups of tea, and his face a warm smile. Once his eyes fell upon her, the smile faded.
“What’s wrong?” he inquired. Y/N knew she couldn’t hide her worry from him. That was when the report began to play again. Tommy’s attention moved quickly, putting the cups on his side table before turning the volume up on the radio. His focus was entirely on the small device dictating their future to them. A deep sigh escapes him before he turns to Y/N.
“Austria-Hungary, Serbia and Germany are far from here. They will fight it out, and it will all be done in a few days,” he sar down beside her, his hand going to her back to lovingly rub it, coaxing the anxious look off her face, “Do not worry about that. There are bigger things to worry about.” She looked over at Tommy, her eyebrows furrowed.
“What could be bigger than war?” That was when a smirk dusted his lips.
“Choosing a venue for our wedding.” She couldn’t help the snort that escaped as a smile finally came back to her face.
“Oh shit, I completely forgot about that,” She leapt off the bed, throwing her clothes on herself. “We’re touring that church today in,” Her eyes shoot over to the clock to reveal the less than early time of 10:00 AM, “45 minutes! We’re going to be late.” She began jumping into her stockings as Tommy rose from the bed, putting a hand on her shoulder.
“Y/N,” she paused her actions, looking up at Tommy, “I think it’ll be ok.” A puzzled expression rose on her face.
“But we’re going to be late, Tom.” She motioned at the clock on the wall.
“I don’t think so, love,” His hands went to her cheeks as he moved her gaze to meet his, “Fuck some old, drafty church. Let’s get married somewhere that matters to us.”
She raised an eyebrow, “Where would that be?”
“Our lake.” As soon as he said those words, she knew he was right. It was the place where they spent every summer. It was the place she denied she loved him, even though deep down knew she always had. It was the place he almost told her so many times that she was the one. She let out a light sight before putting her hands on his.
“I can’t think of a more perfect place to begin the rest of my life with you.” Tommy leaned down, kissing her forehead.
“Let’s drink some tea, take it easy and head to the lake this afternoon, ok?” She nodded as his lips left her forehead. He picked up the cup of tea and handed it to his fiance, giving her a smile as he did so. It would all be ok, she thought as she brought her cup to her lips, taking a sip. The liquid burned the top of her mouth, but the presence of her lover made the pain miniscule. They would see their wedding venue today, and everything would be good. Better than good, perfect. It wasn’t long into their tea when Y/N heard a yell up the stairs.
“Oy, Tommy, we have an emergency!” Y/N could recognize Arthur’s voice anywhere. “The Shaws on the east side want to speak with you now.” Tommy let out a sigh and kissed Y/N’s cheek.
“It will be quick, I promise,” he whispered into her ear. She let her head fall into the crook of his shoulder.
“Don’t worry, darling. I can meet you there.” She felt his hand run through her tresses, calming her.
“It shouldn’t take too long, no more than an hour.” She nodded as Tommy rose and went out the bedroom door, but not before shooting her a small smile. Her heart would never stop fluttering at that look.
She was over at their lake within thirty minutes, no time at all. The first sight that caught her eye was the way the midday sun hit the water. It looked like a path leading to the heavens. She could imagine herself standing in front of it with her Tommy, professing their love for their family and promising themselves to each other forever. She tied her horse to a tree and walked over to where that spot would be. Y/N stood in the place she imagined she would be making her vows to Tommy. She held her hands out, imagining Tommy’s larger ones holding hers, probably giving them a squeeze when a happy tear fell down her cheek. She imagined them running back down the aisle and into the family car to be taken off who knows where.
She could also imagine taking their kids here and showing them where their parents promised forever to one another. Y/N let herself sit on the soft grass, letting the thoughts of family warm her. She couldn’t wait for the day Tommy held their first child and showed them all the love he could. Y/N knew whatever happened, Tommy would love that child with all his heart and soul. She let out a soft sigh as she let her thoughts pass through her. It wasn’t until the sun began to fall in the sky that she noticed Tommy was late. She took a peek at her watch and noticed hours had passed.
“The meeting must’ve run very long,” she thought, standing from the grass. That was when she heard a rustle. It was a small noise, almost like the sound of a shoe breaking a stick. But it was recognizable. Her head whipped to where the noise came from, but no one was there. Her shoulders unstiffened as she began to make her way back to her horse. That was when she hears another sound followed by the unmistakable timbre of a male voice. Her pace quicked to a jog as she went to her horse. That was when she noticed two men emerge from the woods. They were men she had never seen before. One was tall with a menacing look in his eye while the other was smaller and trailing behind his leader.
Y/N broke into a sprint, but the two men were quicker. She felt the smaller one grab her, holding her around her waist and pulling her arms around her back. She tried to let out a scream, but a rag was shoved in her mouth. That was when she heard a chuckle from the taller man.
“Well, well, we heard Tommy’s bird was beautiful, but that was truly an understatement.” She felt his hand trace along her jaw. He smelled like sweat. “I wonder what a sweet young girl like you is doing with a man like that.” His words were coated in a sickly sugary tone that made her spine shiver. She wanted to pull back, but that would mean leaning into the other man.
“She must be the priciest whore in Birmingham,” said the smaller one, pulling her arms even tighter behind her. A small squeak escaped her lips as the pain twinged in her shoulders.
“Maybe we should see if she’s worth her price.” His mouth was close to hers. His breath reeked of old fish. Y/N couldn’t help but flinch away. That was when she felt a fist make contact with her cheek.
“Don’t fucking move away from me, whore.” His words were venom. The tears were falling down her face. She knew there was nothing she could do to stop them. She could feel whimpers of fear escaping her mouth. She couldn’t stop them.
“What was that, love?” His voice was all condescension as he pulled the rag down from her mouth.
“W-why are you doing this?” She stuttered. This elicited a laugh from the taller man.
“Well, your Tommy has some debts that he owes the Shaws that he simply chooses not to pay back. And we do not work for free. It seems that we have to take our own payment.” Her eyes widened, and that was when her mind went blank. She would never remember whatever happened to her in that next hour. She didn’t want to remember. It wasn’t until she woke up in a hospital bed did she realize her nightmare was over.
Her eyes moved around the room, taking in her environment. That was when she saw him, Tommy. Her Tommy. The light of her life was dim, sitting on the edge of her bed. She shifted slightly, trying to readjust, but pain shot through her body. She let out a small whine as Tommy’s eyes shot to her.
“Nurse! She’s awake.” He screamed before coming to her side. His hands fell on both cheeks, “I thought I lost you.” The words came out as a hoarse whisper before he pulled her in. He tried his best to be gentle, but she couldn’t help the slight groan that escaped her lips as he brushed against her cuts and bruises.
“What happened?” She asked, knowing she didn’t want to know the answer. He pulled away, running a hand through her hair, tucking it behind her ear.
He let out a sigh, “The business with Shaw’s gang? That was all a ruse. The whole point was to get revenge on me for a business deal gone bad.” That was when his eyes wandered away from hers, looking at the space beyond her shoulders. “They knew what mattered the most to me and decided that was the way to get payback. We didn’t realize what was happening until it was almost too late.” His words stopped, and he paused before continuing, “I got there when he had a gun in his hand, pointed right at you. I killed him, Y/N. I killed both of them. They’re dead. They can’t hurt you again.” That was when the tears began spilling from her eyes again. They wouldn’t stop. She buried her head in Tommy’s shoulder, letting her tears soak his jacket. Tommy’s arm moved around her waist, pulling her in.
“There is one more thing, too,” She looked up at Tommy, wiping her hand across her eyes.
“What, Tommy?” He let out a deep breath before running a hand through his hair.
“You were pregnant, but,” His words were caught in his throat but became free, “the baby’s gone.” Her limbs went cold at that, numb to everything.
“Y-you mean… we were going to have a baby?” The words came out as a whisper. Tommy nodded. There was silence between the two of them before Y/N crawled into his lap. She didn’t want to be anywhere else but sobbing in his arms. Right now, it was what she needed. He knew that too, letting a hand run down her back trying anyway to soothe his love. The tears ran for hours before she tired herself out. She didn’t realize she was dozing until the world began to darken, and Y/N swore she heard words she knew had to be from a dream.
“If it weren’t for me, you would be safe.” It had to be a dream. Tommy would never say that. She thought this before the world went dark.
When she woke, she was alone. And she was alone for many days after that. It wasn’t until Polly came that she knew Tommy meant the words he said.
She came bearing a comforting smile and a bouquet. Y/N’s body was finally beginning to heal, but her mind was still shattered.
“Polly, where’s Tommy?” Y/N didn’t even attempt the pleasantries. This woman had seen her grow up. There was no need.
Polly sat herself in the chair beside Y/N’s bed, staring at her toes as she tried to find the proper words. When she did, she looked up at Y/N, ready to break her world in half.
“Shaw’s body was found in The Cut. The police knew it was Tommy, and they told him he had a choice: prison or join the war effort-”
“War effort? Since when has there been a war effort?” Polly let out a sigh.
“A lot has happened since you’ve been here, love.” Y/N ran a hand through her hair.
“What did he choose, Pol?” But she already knew the answer.

Enchantment
Wanda and Vision wear a traditional Serbian clothes. Pietro and Wanda are romani born at Wundagore Mountain(is a pseudo place that live between Serbia and Transia). Since they're adopted by romani serbian family, I feel both Wanda and Vision look beautiful in Serbian clothes. She remind me from that classic comic, Maryam did wore cloth like that. Wanda in dress is so niche to draw.

Richarlison x Reader:
Prize of the Night
Tumblr media
A/N: MY FIRST REQUEST!!
Though, thanks for requesting, I apologize if it is a bit short, but nonetheless I hope you enjoy reading!
Slight Smut || Continue with Caution ⚠️
Includes: Slight swearing, neck kissing, lust
It was the day of Brazils win against Serbia.
You and Richarlison were currently celebrating in your guys’ hotel room. Though, It wasn’t all so big as the actual celebration that occurred in the locker room, you and your lover decided to continue the celebration with just the two of you. And even if it was just the two of you, it was relaxed; You both enjoyed each others company to the max.
“I can’t get over that bicycle kick Richarlison!” You said, admiring over his skill. It was a game that was going absolutely no where, until your wonderful man scored the first goal.
“I’m flattered amor! I dedicate that one to you.” He replied with a smile. He pulled you closer to him on the couch, yearning for your affection. “In-fact, I dedicate everything to you, te amo tanto (I love you so much) (Y/N).”
Anything he said made your heart soar. He knew how to sugar you up, but you loved it. It reminded you about having a loving boyfriend who cares, and is here for the long run in this relationship. “You always know what to say querido.”
“Of course I do,” Richarlison leans close to your ear, “my beautiful girlfriend deserves the world.” That sweet, velvety voice that left his mouth made your heart flutter. However, you felt as if it was your turn to spice things up even more.
Taking a glance at his lips, you quickly lean in to kiss him, catching him off guard. He groaned in surprise, but soon the surprise turned into enjoyment, as the two of you were now making out. Every kiss deepens with love and passion.
Yet, with Richarlison completely mesmerized by your touch, you propped his back against the arm of the couch, putting your hand on his chest, then grabbing his chin with your other hand. You pull away from his lips to catch your breathe. You opened your eyes to see now that you were nearly on top of him. Taking advantage, you smirked saying “and you deserve my affection, let me pleasure you, bonito.”
-Richarlison’s P.O.V-
How could I say no? She knows my body, as much as I know hers. This was the real prize, the real accomplishment.
“You’ve already started, continue me dando prazer.” (Keep pleasuring me) replying to her. Closing in the gap once again, we kissed in desperation. Hearing her moan is music to my ears. Unexpectedly, she left my lips and started to kiss my jawline. I was in bliss, but I wanted more; I wanted her to move down to my neck. “(Y/N),” I huffed, “Kiss my neck bebê, please, preciso de você.” (I need you)
She let go from my jawline, “I was just getting there meu amor, trust the process,” then proceeded to go back. I closed my eyes, feeling her gradually go from my jawline, to my neck. She placed her soft, luscious lips on my sensitive neck and began to kiss it. I groaned in delight, I was moved from bliss to ecstasy under her touch. I throbbed with each nibble, and with her moan that vibrated my neck; I couldn’t contain myself. “Fuck, (Y/N)..”
I gently grabbed her hair and sunk into the lust that grew throughout the rest of the night.

2023 vs. 2024 Part 2: Semi-Final 1 Countries
Continuing on our little adventure into the competing countries, we now look at the countries performing in the first Semi-Final in this year's contest and determining which entry I liked better...their 2023 entry or their 2024 entry.
Also, while there is one returning country and one non-returning country, I will go into those countries first before moving on to the countries with a 2023 and 2024 entry.
Luxembourg: Fighter. Okay. Yes, I am still sad about Drowning In The Rain not being the song talked about. But we are here to talk about Fighter, so let's do that. It's a cute lil' song that with right staging and running order could be a great performance! BUT, the reason it ranked low is the fact that with all the other shiny songs that came after it, it got lost in the shuffle a little. I do know we are getting a revamp, so maybe that will help the song a little more, we will have to wait and see.
Ukraine: Heart Of Steel vs. Teresa & Maria. Winner: Teresa & Maria. While Heart Of Steel is a wonderful song and great addition to my playlist, it had to grow on me a little bit before I could really appreciate it (thank the revamp too). But Teresa & Maria stays with me. I've seen so many reels of alyona and Jerry singing the song on Youtube reels (per algorithm), so I guess that's fate saying something.
Cyprus: Break A Broken Heart vs. Liar. Winner: Break A Broken Heart. Both are kinda sorta breakup songs. While Liar takes the sassy approach to the end of a relationship, I loved the melancholic feel that Break A Broken Heart has. I'm also a real sucker for high notes (need I remind you that I'm a Gjon's Tears fan?), which Andrew Lambrou does so well too.
Poland: Solo vs. The Tower. Winner: The Tower. There is no denying that Solo has cemented its place in the Eurovision meme world. And while it has grown on me enough to listen to it when someone put it on the aux cord, The Tower just sounds so good. I would literally be sitting around as the song starts and I'm like "wait, what song is this?" and then Luna starts singing and I'm like "ooooo yes!" Needless to say, I haven't tired of The Tower yet and still feel like I'm listening to it for the first time.
Serbia: Samo Mi Se Spava vs. Ramonda. Winner: Samo Mi Se Spava. This was so hard for me to decide as I actually really love both of them (I mean they both ranked 2nd). Ramonda is so beautiful and emotional, and may have changed what my favorite flower is. And Samo Mi Se Spava is an auditory experience. It went onto a WIP soundtrack within MINUTES after first listen, which is really the only thing making the decision. This will certainly fluctuate over time.
Lithuania: Stay vs. Luktelk. Winner: Stay. Luktelk, a great entry in full Lithuanian, a bop, a total dance song with great staging potential. I've liked it since I ranked the Lithuania songs in the NF. But with Stay, it's one of those songs that really came out at the right time, so I'm in emotional debt to that. But it was another tough decision for this country.
Croatia: Mama ŠČ! vs. Rim Tim Tagi Dim. Winner: Rim Tim Tagi Dim. Let 3 brought forth a piece last year that was also an experience. It was certainly an acquired taste, garnering as many fans as people who ranked the song dead last. But Baby Lasagna and Rim Tim Tagi Dim scratches that itch in my brain that I didn't know I had. Listening to it is fun, plus the lyrics kind of resonate with me (as a college student that moves out of her hometown to attend school).
Ireland: We Are One vs. Doomsday Blue. Winner: Doomsday Blue. I don't think there is another country that took such a drastic turn between what they sent in 2023 and what they send in 2024 as Ireland. We Are One was a great safe entry that fell victim to early selection and a bloodbath semi. Doomsday Blue, however, has something more. My biggest complaint with We Are One is that I felt something was missing. Doomsday Blue feels like a complete package that I know Bambie will bring to life on the stage.
Slovenia: Carpe Diem vs. Veronika. Winner: Veronika. Another tough decision here. Carpe Diem is up my alley musically with rock elements mixed with a spice of pop with an infectious attitude that makes me want to get up and dance. But Veronika? That song puts me in such a trance when I listen to it. The operatic spice adds a cinematic feel to it too.
Iceland: Power vs. Scared Of Heights. Winner: Power. Similar to Lithuania, Power came to me at a time where I might have really needed it. It's still such a great song (listened to it just the other day). Scared Of Heights has great energy which should garner some votes too, but only time will tell.
Finland: Cha Cha Cha vs. No Rules!. Winner: Cha Cha Cha. I don't think any entry can top the iconic energy that Käärijä and Cha Cha Cha had. No Rules! is a good follow-up to try and mimic (or better) the success their predecessor had. But I still dance around my room to Cha Cha Cha once in a while.
Portugal: Ai Coração vs. Grito. Winner: Ai Coração. This is my reminder to listen to Grito some more. Ai Coração jumps around my mind. It's fun, the performance was sassy. It is one of the best Portugese entries I have seen. Grito, however, has a very beautiful tone that should not be slept on either.
Australia: Promise vs. One Milkali (One Blood). Winner: Promise. One thing about me is that I love my ballads, and I love my rock entries. Promise is just that. It's a thrill from start to finish that I enjoy listening to whenever it plays on my playlist. However, I really liked the feel that One Milkali (One Blood) had when I listened to it. For my take, it's best described in the post I made about the song when it came out.
Moldova: Soarele Și Luna vs. In The Middle. Winner: Soarele Și Luna. This feels like an All-Star battle. We have Pasha Parfeni from 2012 and 2023 vs. Natalia Barbu from 2007 and 2024. And while In The Middle has one of the CATCHIEST hooks of this year's selection, Soarele Și Luna was my sister's winner last year. So whenever I hear this one, I tell her and it makes us happy.

Despite Croatian small stature and insignificance, its proximity to the vast expanse of Mediterranean shoreline is absurd. The return of Bosnia and Croatia back to rest of Serb lands, which are more populous and culturally rich, makes more sense in terms of geopolitical considerations. After West destroyed Yugoslavia, all those small countries are just so irrelevant with no Belgrade to lead them. Do you believe that in the future, a greater number of Croats will embrace Yugoslav identity and begin to identify as Yugoslav and Serb instead of Croat?
i love these very obvious bait asks but let me entertain you. this is the last time im giving an actual answer to this.
1) there is no reason for croats to identify as serbs. yugoslavia means yugoslavia, it does not mean greater serbia. in general there is no need for any country in yugoslavia to identify as nationalistic, because the identity should be yugoslavian.
there is a reason why i always say im dalmatian in my posts, and why i call myself a yugoslav. croatian in my bio is there to simply let know which part of yugoslavia im from, because i dont expect many people to know about dalmatia.
2) croatia, serbia, montenegro, bosnia etc are INCREDIBLY culturally rich countries, to the point that croats argue within ourselves; dalmatian culture is very different than kvarner, theyre different than lika, thats different than zagorje, thats different than posavina, međimurje, etc. All these places have different types of food, music, dance, mentality, and even as croatian i cannot understand the dialect used in gruntovčani (and many people from zagreb will struggle with velo i malo misto), and i have trouble with istrian dialect, and they have problem with forski dialect. wherever you go in yugoslavia youll encounter these things.
3) why would croats "return to serb lands" when we have been on the adriatic shore since 7th century? im dalmatian, and we even carry name dalmatia from the illyrian delmati tribes due to assimilation. our culture is mediterranean, our dances and music are different than stereotypical slav-culture you may envision. along with četnik views i guess you also share them with italian iredentists? partizans - croatian, serbian, slovenian etc partizans died to liberate dalmatia from the fascists. tito knew the importance of adriatic shore, italians placed my people in camps and forced dalmatians to italianize our names.
p.s. od vardara do triglava was yugoslavian motto for a reason. yugoslavia was always supposed to be where it is.
4) "belgrade to lead" even with belgrade as the center josip broz tito was slovenian-croatian. and guess what? that doesnt even matter. the over-centralization and nationalism were problems after his death, and nationalism which YOU are propagating was not blameless in the fall of yugoslavia.
personally i have problems with zagreb centralization too before you start being annoying about my BOG I HRVATINE identity.
5) you see, i know you dont know what youre talking about because yugoslavia didnt seek to assimilate the identities. the regional identities were important - the NATIONALISTIC ones were the ones being discouraged, and those are different things. as a yugoslav you are SUPPOSED to say "the adriatic shore is mine, the panonian sea is mine, the dinara hills are mine, i wasnt born there but these things are things of my people, for i am yugoslavian, and as yugoslavian slavonija and hercegovina and srem and vojvodina are mine, because those are my people, thats my homeland".
and thats why i have lepa brena in my bio. because "oči su mi more jadransko, kosa mi je klasje panonsko, sestra mi je duša slovenska, ja sam jugoslovenka" is incredibly beautiful and brena always kept the yu identity and the beautiful diversity it encompassed. and still is today. you think that differences are yugoslavian downfall and not strength, and that it should divide us and not unite us. you dont see the "we love your splitian music and your beautiful city :) greetings from belgrade" and "my best memories are from sarajevo, greetings from zagreb" and you dont hear belgradians telling me "haha we love your accent! the coffee is free for you :)" when i visited, and you dont see the waiter which was serving me and my serbian guests here in neretva, who said "of course we will make turkish coffee for you, take these free pancakes for your kid, you have a long drive ahead" and you dont see or hear the differences in exyu bands, the music which is fantastic and still holds up, because zabranjeno pušenje and daleka obala were very different and that diversity made for a rich cultural scene.
and why do i think you dont see any of this? because im sure, so very sure, that you dont speak serbian, nor croatian, nor bosnian, nor macedonian, nor slovenian, nor montenegrin. i am very certain you are not a yugoslav yourself.
you are a reactionary looking to instigate shit and a mindset that new yugoslavia cannot be built on. you are looking to divide people. you are sending these things on purpose. and i may be an idiot for catching on, but i felt this needed to be said.
and this is the last time im adressing this bullshit. next time send a message in serbo-croatian. im not going to answer these things in english anymore.
why would we be discussing our yugoslavian homeland in a foreign language?
p.s. you can keep sending this shit but my dads side of family is serbian you absolute idiot, and a part of my moms family is serbian as well. hardest part of visiting belgrade is choosing which cousins to stay with and how to not offend either of them.

On May 10th 1850 Thomas Lipton, founder of the Lipton's grocery chain was born in Glasgow.
Before the big supermarkets took over we lhad ots of wee ones, every street had a Liptons, or a Galbraith even a Templetons!
Liptons was one of the originals started by a guy from Glasgow who built an empire and the tea brand still bares his name.
Born in a tenement flat in Crown Street, the Gorbals, Liptons parents were Irish and had left the Emerald Isle during the potato famine, the smallholding their family had farmed on for generations no longer viable they settled in Glasgow. 'Tommy' Lipton was educated at St. Andrew's Parish School close to Glasgow Green and by the time Tommy was 12 his parents had a shop in the street they lived selling ham, butter, and eggs. It was with the aim of supplementing his parents' limited income that Thomas Lipton left school at the age of thirteen and found employment as a printer's errand boy, and later as a shirtcutter. He also enrolled at a night school, the Gorbals Youth's School, during this period. He then found work as a cabin boy a steamer running between Glasgow and Belfast and was captivated by life aboard the ship and the stories told by sailors who had traveled to the US After being let go by the steamer company, Lipton quickly used the wages he had saved to purchase passage on a ship bound for the U.S., where he would spend five years working and traveling all over the country.
Back in Scotland on his 21st birthday, In 1871 Lipton opened his firstown shop at 101 Stobcross Street in Glasgow. In the heart of industrial Glasgow, full of smoke and fog, the shop was said to be so brightly lit that at night it became a beacon in the street. Goods were stacked in the American fashion, not for the convenience of the proprietors, but with the purpose of catching the customers’ attention. Lipton used another selling technique learned from his time in the States and from his Mother's shop.
When his parents had opened their small shop, Mrs. Lipton, rather than deal with middlemen at the markets, dealt directly with the farmers of her homeland. Lipton followed this example. He bought his bacon, eggs, butter and other produce directly from Irish farmers. The firm traded as a supermarket until 1982 when another group bought the shops that were to become Presto’s, the decision was made as they wanted to solely concentrate on the Tea business which it does to this day, in 2009 Lipton received a Corporate Green Globe Award for its work with the Rainforest Alliance.
As well as the tea and the shops but Lipton was also a keen sailor, he holds a place in the America’s Cup heart as being the most reliably consistent and deftly congenial loser. Five times he challenged for the Cup, five times being defeated. Despite his best laid plans and momentous effort to win the cup, the tea magnate simply didn’t cut the mustard. Nonetheless, he did have a penchant for beautiful boats. His last challenger, Shamrock V, never really stood a chance of winning the race but it did win marks for pure beauty. His well-publicised efforts to win the cup, which earned him a specially designed cup for “the best of all losers”, and also made his tea famous in the United States.
During the first world war Thomas Lipton helped organisations of medical volunteers. He placed his yachts at the disposal of the Red Cross, the Scottish Women's Hospitals Committee of Dr. Elsie Inglis, the Serbian Supporting Fund, etc., for the transport of medical volunteers (doctors and nurses) and medical supplies. Not content with just allowing his boats to be used he also took a keen interest in the work of Elsie Inglis and the womans hospital, visiting Serbia, where he insisted on humble lodgings and was renowned for his humility and modesty. .In addition to visiting many hospitals, where he encouraged doctors, nurses and soldiers, he found time to attend traditional fairs and to take a part in blackberry gathering and fishing. Sir Thomas Lipton was proclaimed an honorary citizen of the city of Niš.
Lipton even made the cover of Time magazine during 1924. He was knighted in 1901. Sir Thomas Lipton passed away on 2nd October 1931 in London and is buried alongside his parents and siblings in Glasgow's Southern Necropolis, his grave, like the man himself, a humble, simple understated affair, he bequeathed the majority of his fortune to his native city of Glasgow, including his yachting trophies, which are now on display at the Kelvingrove Gallery.

╰┈➤On October 21st, our geography teacher took us on trip to explore cities Novi Sad and Sremski Karlovci. We left Banja Luka at 5:30 am and our trip to Sremski Karlovci lasted for whole 7 hours. Even though it was kind of exhausting, it was worth it because i got a chance to learn a lot about history as well as geography aspects of that place. We visited first ever gymnasium in Serbia, the oldest theological high school, which is created back in 1794, as well as biggest high-school library in whole Serbia, which is in that school. Our tourist guide took us through Church of Sremski Karlovci where we saw beautiful art works and decor on walls.

╰┈➤After that, we went to Novi Sad, specifically Petrovaradin Fortress. We looked around, took some pictures and learned about its history. A fun fact about this fortress is that every year this fortress is a place where Exit Festival is held. I met some tourists that were talking about festival so my friends and I made a promise to visit it next year in July!

╰┈➤We were given around 3,5 hours of free time which I spent on hanging around with my friends, coffee break, lunch and a bit of shopping! I got some souvenirs, enjoyed a nice warm day and for everyone's surprise, met famous youtubers!

Activity description✔️
Our geography teacher took us to explore the cities of Novi Sad and Sremski Karlovci and we learned a lot of interesting historical and geographical facts about the landmarks we visited. It took us 7 hours to get there (including gas station breaks) and just as much to come back, so it was truly an exhausting road trip. The time we actually spent in the cities was great, educating, and really fun. I loved that I had a chance to explore new places with some of my really good friends, and we had about 3 hours of free time to do anything we wanted downtown Novi Sad, and we really used up that time to have fun and eat really delicious food. We visited the grammar school of Sremski Karlovci, which is the oldest grammar high school in Serbia, as well as their theological high school and church. We visited The Petrovaradin Fortress in Novi Sad, which was really interesting because that is where the Exit Festival is held every year. We really walked a lot during the tours, and our free time, which is why I think this also qualifies as an activity.

Reflection✔️
It was a really insightful experience that brought a lot of joy into a pretty random weekend, and I feel like I learned quite a lot about the cities I have not visited before. It took a bit of a toll on my sleeping patterns just because the bus ride was way too long, but all in all, I had a lot of laughs with my friends, saw some beautiful buildings and a fortress and it made for a great Saturday.

God is out to get me
When I love... I love hard....
There was this boy in my middle school probably my first real crush... I liked him since the end of seventh grade. Just bc he showed me kindness, don't get me wrong my best friend loved me ... But this was different....
I never liked a guy before him... In eighth grade my feelings were going crazy for him... In my eyes he was perfect, smart, funny and pretty... He liked to talk a lot and we became best friends instantly... But becoming his best friend made him more open...
He was in love with another girl and he described his love for her so beautifully... The girl in question was perfect nothing like me confined, pretty, social, with a beautiful voice and sweet Christian girl personality... I couldn't hate such a lovely girl...
He was so head over heels for her... I helped him win her over... On Valentine's day he bought her the biggest chocolate and flowers ... On the 8th of March even bigger flowers... On her birthday he took her out on ice-cream.... He was so sweet and gentle with her... He would tell me all about her... I helped him out on gifts and things to say... I advised the best.... Secretly wishing it was me who was getting it... I did everything to make that girl love him... Doing everything I would wish for myself... Watching them from afar knowing well there was nothing more I wished for then to be that girl.....
It was the last day of school... He wished me the best... To find someone to love me the way I deserve, bc to him I was the loveliest girl in this world and only deserved the best....
My best friend joked that guy and I were soulmates and that at the end of our teen years we would probably be dating... Maybe in another universe we were soulmates...
I never loved someone the way I loved him... I looked for him in every boy or girl I liked.... Even to be a bit silly I looked for him in my current boyfriend....
He never saw me after the funeral of my best friend that took place in the first year of high school... I told him I was fine.... I lied ofc but god the way I regret lying knowing he would probably have helped me more....
He doesn't know who Theresa is he knows who I was before I left the country and got adopted and changed my name... He never saw this version of me....
When I was in a mental hospital... I letter arrived for me at home ... My dad told me it would wait for me when I come out...
He is getting married to the girl I helped him get with... He wants me to be the best man (it's called a godfather/mother in traditional Serbian weddings)... He had to beg my bio parents and at the end they told him my address after he paid them 500 euros each ...
I will be flying to Serbia (when this post is posted I am probably already at the hotel) and I didn't step in there for almost two years... It's scary to think I will be back to the place I was ruined by... Current number one fear is running into my bio parents...
Also the weddings in two weeks but he asked if I can come as early as possible since he wants to see me and talk....
I am so scared I don't know how I will react when I see him..

Junior Eurovision 2023 detailed opinions before the show. Part 3
After two parts of my Junior Eurovision 2023 personal opinions before the show, it was time for the third one. We already covered the fifth, fourth and third tiers of my list, from the decent songs to my personal tear-jerkers. And now, with the reveal of the running order this day, and 8 songs to talk about, it's time for the second tier, where my almost-winner alert songs are. And by little differences with the winner ones.
The tier-list for reference, again!
Tumblr media
Tier 2: "I will kill OsterdahlEBU if they mess with the staging or the running order (or place the lower spots)/hj"
🇲🇹 Yulan Law "Stronger"
Malta is one of those countries that can make Junior Eurovision a real party. Two victories, one of them also slaying in the adult Eurovision (Destiny, in JESC 2015 and ESC 2021), and with most entries being bangers. After the robbery Gaia Gambuzza got in Yerevan at 2022 (and this year in adult Eurovision, Switzerland's 2nd Gjon's Tears copycat getting the final qualifier and not the happy lads from The Busker...), I was expecting a MIRACLE for them to have some justice this year. And it came in the shape of "Stronger"
Tumblr media
Yulan's voice, my gosh, serving in higher levels than I ever expected for a ballad, and after hearing some of them before this song got revealed, I'm glad to put her in this tier! Her lyrics are so charming alongside her vocals, and the music itself elevates the entire song to a higher level of the previous ballads I covered. The setting of the clip, while not my favorite, it's so calm and inspiring as the entry itself. And you tell me this song was composed by some Swedish writers? No wonder it slays a lot.
I have no ideas about how would be her perfect staging for the live show, but if it can convey the same feelings of the entire song, maybe it can be a well-done Top placer, even if performing second!
🇲🇰 Tamara Grujeska "Kaži Mi, Kaži Mi Koj"
For North Macedonia, I was accepting anything at the point the song was revealed. They like to vary in their JESC song styles, from 2021's bop about saving the planet to protect it as our only home, to 2022's definition of, citing one of my close mutuals, "Shut TF off, I'm not your girlfriend!" (and fun fact I discovered recently thanks to Misja Eurowizja, the same writer of that song was also the composer of Hurricane's "Loco Loco" (Serbia 2021, Eurovision). A lively "the same voice" meme incarnation XDXD). But the song they sent for JESC 2023 is something amazing, something I've never expected
Tumblr media
For a soft ballad-pop, it has some charm itself! The use of the ethnical instruments gives it more originality about the country itself, and it sounds so good with the melody. Even if not understanding the lyrics at first (without English translation, of course), Tamara's voice makes them so hypnotic and mesmerizing, one thing I LOVE of this song more than other ballads! And as for the video, they took the "smoke firework" theme from the slogan (and the "Heroes" theme) seriously to the point of incorporating it in the choreo.
The staging of this one can be (or not) linked to the studio video's scenario, but whichever idea it is, it has to be something enough to not ruin this song's feelings!
🇺🇦 Anastasia Dymyd "Kvitka"
I'm sorry for those of the ESC Discord server who have to watch me put this song in the higher places instead of lower ones. Yes, I understand there were better options in the Junior Vidbir like Polina Babiy's "Universe" or Denis Hryshchuk's "Dance", but somehow this song grew on me a lot after some listens. And after Zlata Dziunka's heart-breaking (and no joking about my feelings of that song T-T) yet beautiful song "Nezlamna" last year, I kinda felt a soft breeze of hope with this entry.
Tumblr media
Sure, I agree with them it becomes kinda repetitive with the "Kvitka" verse playing constantly in the chorus, but the feeling is what counts here! Anastasia's sweet and kind voice, alongside the "Find yourself in this world, and stop this tragedy" verse, highlight this hopeful feeling I got in the song. And as the song says, one day something can blossom from the rubbles of chaos and give a future. I never thought I would become attached to a JESC entry so much(well, and the next one I will cover), even if not being my winner alert!
Knowing she performs third, after Yulan Law and Sandra Valero, while the Vidbir staging makes the song get more cheerful than it is already, they need to make it bigger and more beautiful for Nice's stage if they want Anastasia to not place low, shine among the other kids and get some good televote, because she deserves it a lot!
🇩🇪 Fia "Ohne Worte"
Germany had it difficult both in the adult and the Junior versions of Eurovision. If it's not Jendrik Sigwart, Malik Harris or fricking Lord of the Lost getting the last places in their editions (unfairly in the last case), zero points or not, it's their two Junior singers at 2020 and 2021, Susan and Pauline, starting the show and getting the lowest (if not last) places too. And when I heard they would try again this year after a rest in 2022, I knew I had to follow the selections to see who would be their hope.
For the five kids that showed in the selections, there were three I expected to get the place: Adriano with a good moving song "Be My Girl", Rahel with a Sara James-like melody "Believe", and of course, the song that won over them (and my heart) and now is the German representant for Nice: Fia with "Ohne Worte" (without words)
Tumblr media
First, I gotta admit it, I'm BIASED with this song since the demo version (and as the first JESC 2023 song in progress), and there are some teeny weeny differences that place it not in my winner alert list. But it's for some good reasons!
I was surprised she decided to use sign language for her entry, and I wondered exactly why she did it. And after knowing the context and some of her before-JESC performances in The Voice using the same technique, she caught my heart.
Those performances, and the JESC song itself are for (and about) her little sister Emilia, the person that inspired Fia to do this special detail never seen in a Junior song, and something that makes this entry so relatable. If the demo version was alerting me with speakers I would get emotional over the entire song, it became true after the video (and full studio version) reveal (once again in the middle of work). And the final verses of the "without words" in multiple languages, that part made me love this song more than I already did, alongside the more-than-just-sweet videoclip :'3
The tier title was especially created for this one song, considering the past editions Germany had to struggle in Junior and adult Eurovision. And while at least they FINALLY have a decent running order slot, I'm still waiting for the staging to make this song more justice than it has already. There are rumours about a dance-break section for the live version and I hope, REALLY, REALLY HOPE, that it makes Fia get a Top 3 placement as she deserves it, and maybe WIN THE CONTEST (even above the next 4 songs I consider winners). I know, it's biased, but now you know why. But the thing I WOULD DREAD from all scenarios is that, even with the best made, somehow Germany gets last or lower places. That would break me a lot if that ever happens and I will get Osterdahl's head ;m;
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, that's 12 songs covered now in my ranking! Wait to the final part, the 4 songs that became my winners! See ya!
