Well, someone asked for more details on the Dreamweavers being paid to fight against spectres, so I'll combine both of the asks and answer them! Worldbuilding helps me chill!

Yes, it is. I wanted to work with the aspect of magical girlying being a job with with a salary and several benefits, kinda like MagiLumiere, Inc.; but instead of having it being set in an office, I was going for a more ludicrous approach, so I went with something in the vein of Bee & PuppyCat!

The twilighters approach job assignments similarly to TempBot (sans the deadly consequences for not completing a task/being a stranger), a mystic network where their job is to ensure that you have a job.

If it's the human's very first time in dreamweaving, they're given an entry test to prove their worth in the dream space. If they pass, they can become licensed dreamweavers; but if they fail, they'll wake up in their beds with no lasting memories of the test, much like a dream (but they can retake it whenever they're ready).

When a Dream Drop glows in the presence of a mirrored surface (except public ones, so personal ones are used, such as pocket compacts and hand mirrors, for example), it means that there's an assignment for the Dreamweaver, with the mirror acting as a communication vessel between the human and a sassy tapir/baku spirit.

The assignment comes in the form of a letter. In order to accept it, the human must sign their name on it, confirming their consent. Formalities and stuff.

The reasons for humans to take on dreamweaving may vary; maybe they've given up on jobhunting on Earth and make a full-living of it, or maybe they may already have a regular job and are working for some extra cash, or maybe they're just doing this for the fun of it. Every human has their own personal reasons.

I am completely obsessed with the idea of Stan and Ford stumbling upon Temp-Bot at some point in their travels
