You know what. Why do we as a touhou fandom not talk about the fact the pc98 songs are canon. They exist. In canon. Akyuu has them documented and has probably heard them. Someone within touhou's universe wrote them. Reimu could probably actually listen to her own theme. Were the songs actually written about the events of those games?? Was eternal shrine maiden written about reimu?? Was love colored magic written about marisa?? I'm going insane

I’ve really not been liking it lately#like I don’t consider he/him misgendering but it’s just like a strategic allowance. Like it’s fine but not my preferred way to be addressed#I feel like I went super hardcore into being a binary trans person and now that I’m a few years deep into transition#I’m finding a lot of things about being a man not compelling or interesting at all#it was a refuge from cishood but now that I’m secured away from it I don’t find masculinity all that interesting#I don’t experience the trans euphoria I hear people talk about it’s more like the absence of despair#which is not the same thing#+ also going by they/them professionally would just be outting myself publicly on a daily basis#and the last time that happened well. It was very bad lol

A small tool carved from a fruit tree seed. Energy to power the enchantment has seemingly run-out long ago, and the method of recharging is unknown - but, based on the appearance, it's very likely that this was once used for detecting magic. Usually, looking through the glass center would highlight areas of higher magical energy concentration present in the viewer's environment, even if they were otherwise obscured to the naked eye. While this form of enchantment itself is highly advanced, the craftsmanship of the item is far less neat or complex than what might be typically seen in similar devices. It may have been made as part of training/practice, or as a hasty replacement for a previous tool that had broken.

I have been Busy and struck by the evils of summer#But like I mentioned in the previous one I do want to at LEAST finish the quest with the egg lol#ANYWAY.#Things like this would plausibly exist in Nanyevimi (my fantasy world) but wouldn't be very common as - like mentioned- this would be an#extremely advanced enchantment. REALLY advanced mages could sense magic around them (to varying degrees of pinpoint accuracy of location#) without even having to use any external device. But for a majority of people there's really no way to know someone is using magic near#you unless you either see visual proof or if it's strong enough to feel effects from it (since magic is kind of like radiation in that the#higher energy/more of it youre exposed to the more it damages you/can make you sick/etc.) and even then most people would just be like#'hmm why do I feel so nauseous and bad out of nowhere?' likely wouldn't directly think to link it to magic. Thus the only really reliable w#way isto just hone your senses over like 500 years as you become an expert mage - OR use enchantments like these. But a 'sense magic' encha#ntment is not as common as a just 'magic is not allowed here' enchantment. If you wanted to prevent magic from being usedin a space#it's easier to just put up a broad barrier enchantment around that space than to have some sort of Magic Sensor to pick out if it's being#done and then handle each individual case of it . etc. etc. These sort of things can have their uses (especially for people investigating#things or trying to be secretive about detecting something etc.) but are less common - especially in this form (where visuals are used. itd#be more likely to jsut have like 'piece of metal that gets warm or cool depending on magic nearby'.) ANWAY so this is why it's a notable#object. Though a majority of the realm is not very magic literate - if you were a researcher or a mage and found this at a pawn shop you'd#definitely be like 'oohhh!! :0 inch resting... ' if not you might just be like 'oh cool necklace!' lol#also love the quick 2min ''costume'' for the image of it being used. literally just 'wrap yourself in scarves from the waist up' and slap o#a wig and ears lol#on this blog I guess since it's worldbuilding related and technically art.. maybe more like crafting? I should have a crafts tag lol.. hmm

Learning how to love my teenage boy students and they’re learning how to love me within the proper teacher-student dynamic.
#boundaries are super important! because of so much.#I’m ready to turn 30 (at least in this area lol.) just so there’s more distance#there’s still a little too much closeness in age right now#but this is the first year where it’s felt like they trust me and also want to learn from me#it’s very precious to me#because they have funny simple little hearts#anyway it’s not a scenario free from danger! because they’re literally adolescent boys#and I’m a young female teacher and it’s just never free from dangers#but it’s a gift. and feels like a gift especially because I love boys so much but never had any guy friends/was never around them#for so much of my life#like I love girls and understand them#but I also love boys without fully understanding them#and it’s just a gift to get to know them better#it’s also good when I really get to knowing them kind of as a group#and a wide variety of them#helps keep things appropriate#also they DO need really strong almost harsh reminders#of what they need to be doing#more than girls#and learning that has been interesting#anyway literally just chattering to myself on this Saturday morning#*get to know them#teaching tag#also would a husband provide these boundaries more easily and give me the protection I need? yes#lol. but you know.#I do what I can in the meantime

She might have learned to channel her power through artifacts or learned to mimic#The energy flow of the shiekah magic which is directly derived from hylia/the tf of wisdom! She wouldn't have been stranded at the mountain#When ganon attacked if she hadn't been forced up there on her birthday. She could have outfitted the champions with better weapons that#Would have been more effective against the blights. She might have unlocked the slate or the shrines. She would have been more confident#And thus less abrasive with link. They would have been able to bond sooner and faster. Link would have been more relaxed and ready.#The shiekah might have been able to rework teleportation instead of 106 years late.#I am salty about rhoam banning her. Maybe 2018 because I didn't lose interest right away#I also remember that the background (right side) was Tenebrae from FFXV which I was super into in 2016/17ish#so yeah I want to say the bones have been like this since 2017ish#though I've changed some things over time.#I think I used to have more blues or a different green in the solid color part of the side bar#I've also edited the fonts colors and headers#the audio player songs I've changed a few times. and need to do it again because 2 or 3 of the links are dead#and kain I added in a few months ago. it was a different gif before#but yeah! i don't know why tumblr is getting rid of people's custom blogs but for now I still have mine#I'm going to get really sad if they get rid of them entirely. i've put dozens if not hundreds of hours into customizing mine#and my side pages#over the years. both this one and side blogs. this year will make 11 years of being on tumblr man. so i've invested a lot of time into it!#i will say that this view is at 133% zoom but I don't want to make the theme itself any larger for the sake of ppl with small screens

#hello to anyone who happens to b interested in the saga of my life... also maybe the irl person i gave my url to... hopefully my blog#didnt freak her out too much lol. anyway so its been a busy week? 2 weeks? month? year? life? its been a lot. my parents helped me move#across the country from the desert to somewhere that's beautiful and green. my dad is so jealous of me lol its so so so pretty and theres s#so much to do. will i do any of it? that remains to be seen but im gonna try to be better about that sort of thing. try to get some help#with the thoughts in my head that keep me from doing and enjoying most things. its weird like im decorating my new room which i love. the#location and living situation seem ideal and i really hope i can stay here all 5 years of my program but i was picking a lot of bright#colors and now it feel uncomfortable. like if i wear things that r too bright or my room is too bright without dark contrast it feel weird#like if im wearing it it kinda makes me feel sick. idk what thats abt. anyway. ill try to heal my brain and im just so happy to b out of the#southwest. i was so so so excited when we were leaving thr city and even more so when we left the state. i cant believe im here. in December#it felt like a million years away and i really truely could not fathom how i was gonna survive that long. my thoughts were so distorted. but#i did and here i am. and in like a month i should b starting my phd program and my parents were telling me how excited ppl r for me and#jealous of where im living and im glad. im glad they're excited. i think i am too but its under a layer of: if i get excited it wont happen#im not allowed to b excited or it wont happen. which is irrational but ya kno. anyway so that's yeah. im so happy to have a fresh start and#the town seems super cool. a liberal blip in a sea of... not that so theyre very visibly pride forward haha and i think itll b way easier#for me to get around without driving. and im gonna try to make friends. i need someone to tell me where to get tattoos haha. so yea im happy#but exhausted and i dont wanna go back to work and so so greatful to my parents for being wonderful ppl idk how bc both of them had fucked#up childhoods. like my mum will say the saddest shit and im like bro this is y i don't wanna talk to my grandma fuck her and my dads parents#r so fucked. like my nana is the reason im so fucking control freaked out but i kno i have issues and she has no insight and thinks shes#better than everyone. anyway hopefully i can get back to drawing a posting more now. ive been drawing it its been in a sketch book#like an actual sketch book for sketching big ideas thst r gonna take fucking forever to draw 😭#so that's all. just uprooted my whole life. thats all. but in a good way :-]#unrelated

#okay this is super interesting to look at#first of all i think i've been listening to more music by men this year which is incredible#i also feel like i didn't really hit a stride of being excited by new music until like july hence most of these being newer#it was also a really single/song-centric listening year for me#i felt conflicted abt adding the record and ocean blvd bc i am more attached to individual songs vs. the whole album#and there were probably 2-3 more that could've been swapped out for those (paramore/troye sivan/arlo parks)#also 4/9 being by artists of color is nice. would still like to be better about that though#ALSO (last thing i prommy)#i feel compelled to say that a lot of my favorite albums this year didn't come out in 2023#i just didn't listen to tons of new music this year/discover too many new artists#which isn't really good/bad but i would like to do more of that next year :)#actually i might make a second post of all of those#aoty just makes me think of grammy category which makes me think of albums that came out this year ykwim?#omg also i just rearranged them so each row is in like vague ranking order (top = faves) in case ur curious#tagged#vi is typing...
