Going through old journals looking for a letter, I found this. 1990...if I could go back, I would have ignored the people who told me that art & design wasn't a reliable career option. I spent too many years drawing and sketching and painting as a hobby. I drew this the summer after graduating high school (no computers or design programs - yes, I'm that old). In my first apartment I was lucky to have great roommates that first year away from home, including one from Japan ☺💗 definitely a simpler time! Fast forward 20+ years, I'm feeling blessed that opportunities were presented and am able to provide for my family by making art.
