all the characters from ancient greek texts being in the underworld together is so funny to me. achilles and medea get married and they’re going to kill hades together. tiresias and cassandra become best prophet buddies and rant to eachother daily. every few months someone is like “remember that guy bellephoron?” and then they go right back to forgetting him. in the background paris is always getting chased (tom and jerry style) by hector and helen (they are going to double kill him) and everyone’s stopped questioning it. wildest crossover

Sometimes I wonder what Theseus would look like if Aethra's marriage to Bellephoron went thru and made Theseus part of Sisyphus' lineage 💖 so I wanted to draw that

If he became King of Athens it would be because Aegeus married Aethra and adopted Theseus as his heir but I'm not sure if I want that for her!

HELP THE IMAGE UHM WELL I LIKE MATTIAS AND BE AND JONAH RN... DO U KNOW ABT THEM??? basically mattias and jonah are brothers raised in a super off the rails catholic family and jonah wss the perfect son who did everything his parents asked never acted out etc he was a perfect little catholic boy. but mattias was a crazy insane little child and regularly committed atrocities to rebel and stuff despite the punishments hed get bc he hated the way he was raised and everything and so basically when he was 23 he finslly snapped for real and found an ancient piece of paper in his dads study containing a spell to summon a demon and he made a deal with said demon to turn mattias into a demon himself. so matt did this and his family came in during his lil satanic transformation and matt attacked his dad and mom but jonah managed to subdue him somehow and jonah ran off. well soon after their parents ordered jonah to find mattias and bring him in and talk sense into him or smth and jonah was like. Ok. anyway mattias had gone into the city to start his new demon life and kill people and generally be a menace and jonah managed to catch up with him and jonah tried to kill him but before he was about to rip his heart out with his sharp ass demon claws jonah was like i forgive u which really ruined the whole point . and mattias couldnt do it like the only way he would feel satisfied killing jonah would be if he finally hated him. so for the next day or so jonah just follwed mattias around like a shadow trying ti get him go home while mattias did everything in his power to gross out jonah enough to give up and leave. he kept failing though. that day mattias sees another demon and goes to flirt with him and jist leaves jonah on the sidewalk like o_o and he just watches as mattias leaves with this random ass guy. its funny. anyway that demon was Bellephoron who wow im getting reslly tired i cant write anymore but yeah. ill say more tomorrow i need to sleep

Of my favorite of the mythical horses, Pegasus is tops. The winged wonder of the Heavens. Mount to the gods. Pegasus is legendary. As a child, I could never decide between the unicornand Pegasus. I loved both of their stories. Even today, I’d be hard-pressed…

Herakles is curious about the Hercules merchandise in my house and decided to investigate! Here are some fun facts that Herakles would like to teach you:

Fun fact No.1: Hercules is "Ηρακλής" (Eerakles) (Herakles) in Greek. Hercules is the Latin version of the Greek hero's name.

Fun fact No.2: Pegasus wasn't created from clouds by Zeus, sorry Disney fans! The winged stallion sprang out as an adult from the blood of the gorgon Medusa, and his father was Poseidon! Like Poseidon, Pegasus could create water springs. The spring of Hippocrene on Mount Helicon, home of the Muses, was said to have been created when Pegasus stamped his foot on the rocks!

This may get you a prize in a quiz so listen carefully: Pegasus was not tamed by Hercules or Perseus...it was actually another demi-god hero, Bellephoron, who rode Pegasus! Bellephoron's father may have been Poseidon (depending on which myth you read), so Pegasus was his half brother!

Fun fact No.3: With Disney being so obsessed with princesses, you'd think they would have put Megara in with the other Disney princesses gang. Megara was actually the daughter of Creon, the King of Thebes, which makes her a princess! But Disney took away her title and royal lineage!!! (Yes I am angry about that!)

Well, at least Megara will always be a Greek Princess to those who know their Greek mythology!

Constellation - Pegasus Pegasus is a prominent constellation in the northern sky, named after a winged horse in Greek mythology.  Pegasus was birthed from the Gorgan Medusa (sprung up from her decapitated neck!) and went on many grand adventures with the hero, Bellephoron, until Bellephoron fell off his back (oops)

2020 is the year that I learn how to draw horses, so please enjoy this attempt with good ol' pegasus! 🐴✨ I also felt so proud of this one that I couldn't wait to share it, so please enjoy TWO constellation posts

hello hi for the love of god. starting to work oit rhat demon story thihg from earlier... the demon dude is mattias his brother is jonah.... basically sick of listening to his parents sick of following their religious lifestyle he makes a deal with The devil to become a demon and leaves home to indulge himself in sin or whatever. this is after he attacks his mother and nearly kills his brother. his parents send jonah to retrieve and bring mattias home and to not come back unless mattias is with him. uhmm he catches up with him mattias tries ti get jonah ti join him and when that fails mattias attacks him asks if he has any last words and jonah, being a Child of God or whatever is just like. i forgive u. which instantly makes mattias like.. ew. whats even the point and basically resolves to do everything in his power to make his brother hate him so that killing him is actually satisfying. thus begins their journey of mattias essentially committing the grossest atrocities to make his brother hate him and jonah not faltering once. uhm soon after all that tho mattias meets another demon a sexy one. and in order to #score with this hot guy he has to get jonah to quit following him and eventually convinces him and then goes to the hot guys house to heh you Know. the other demon guy is bellephoron btw aka bell. uhm basically hes actually a pretty nice guy for a demon and mattias kinda falls in love with him. and thats where im at in the story. which is just being writtin innmy brain im not actually writing any of this down. no idea what the inner message of the story is but it has gay demon sex so

It was Herakles' birthday on the 25th March, and his Name Day (St Herakles) on 10th April. So he had a feast! His friends joined in, but because everyone is in quarantine in the house, they couldn't buy him any presents. Love and hugs are nice though, right?

Also, Herakles had some cuddles with animal friends!

Cat = lots of stray cats in Greece. And Herakles loves cats!

Owl = Symbol of Athens and the ancient greek goddess Athena. The Little Owl is a common owl species found in the Mediterranean. (We have no Little Owl plush, but we do have Hedwig the Snowy Owl from Harry Potter.)

Dolphin = named from the ancient greek 'Delphus', meaning "fish with a womb". (Dolphins are mammals). Dolphins are a protected species in Greece.

Phoenix = The bird that sets itself alight and rises again from its ashes comes from Greek Mythology. (That's an official plush of Fawkes from Harry Potter).

Pegasus = Hercules never actually met Pegasus (sorry Disney and Hollywood, it was another Greek hero Bellephoron who rode Pegasus!). But Pegasus is still a part of Greek Mythology that Herakles loves reading about!
