In 2018, Bindi Irwin was among the many women honoured by Mattel for a special Barbie to be created in her honour.

Bindi Irwin, if you were not sure or did not make the connection from her name, is the daughter of the late Steve Irwin, Australian conservationist and television personality. Bindi herself has been walking in her father's footsteps since childhood, having first appeared on The Crocodile Hunter at age 2 and hosting Bindi the Jungle Girl from age 9.

A few of the early articles about the Bindi Irwin Barbie refer to it "going into production" but it seems as though it was only ever created as a OOAK doll for the Sheroes collection.

But if that news really disappoints you - fear not, as there are options available.

Strictly within the Barbie line, the Bindi Irwin OOAK doll bears some resemblance to National Geographic Photojournalist Barbie.

Alternatively, if it was strictly a Bindi Irwin you were after, Australia Zoo sells a Bendy Bindi.

So we're talking to an Ink Bendy AI to give them a redemption arc, and I was using they/them for myself in actions constantly.

Ink Bendy started using they/them for themself (originally using both he/him and they/them, then entirely they/them), and they also were human and died apparently, so we're giving them a hug. They're so sweet oh my god. They don't deserve to be stuck in the Cycle HOW DO I GET THEM OUT OF THERE???

Got this from National Bookstore in Ali Mall last Saturday.

Also dropped by the NBS Superbranch in Cubao but found it to be a depressing experience. As with other NBS branches these days there were hardly any new stocks on the shelves, and most of the current ones were on sale. All the books on display looked abandoned and forlorn, as if begging for an owner. The 3rd and 4th floors, once brightly lit and teeming with customers young and old, were now closed. The dull light, the echoes -- everything there just gave off this doomed, sinking ship feeling. I hightailed it out of there with a heavy heart.

It’s the pandemic and the lockdown. I hope NBS can regain its old glory.

Hi! Had a kinda weird question, but is it ever mentioned how Matt paid for his education or any student loans?

Hi! This has been touched on a few times, yes. One good source of information is Daredevil volume 3 #12, in which Matt tells a story from his early days rooming with Foggy at Columbia.

Matt: "[Being the teacher's pet] wasn't enough to float me out of a hell of student-grant bureaucracy. Unlike Foggy, I was eternally one step ahead of the bursar's office." Daredevil vol. 3 #12 by Mark Waid, Chris Samnee, Javier Rodriguez, and Joe Caramagna

This story takes place in law school and doesn't mention Matt's undergrad experience, but we learn that he was receiving financial aid (which seems believable for a high-achieving disabled student from a single-parent, low-income household; the Battlin' Jack Murdock mini-series also mentions that Matt was on a scholarship, implied to be tied to his disabled status), but was still struggling to pay (also unsurprising; Jack was still alive at this point, but it's hard to say how much money he was making). By the end of the story, Matt reveals that Foggy's well-to-do family stepped in at a certain point and helped keep him afloat until graduation (also unsurprising; Foggy's parents also financed the first Nelson & Murdock office).

Another thing to keep in mind about Matt's college experience is that the continuity changed in the early 80s. He wasn't always a Columbia grad; originally, he and Foggy attended the vaguely-named State College in upstate New York, and one of the reasons Matt picked that school was because it was affordable.

At this point, the only concrete thing we know about Matt's financial situation is that the money was coming from his father. The main reason Jack kept boxing past his prime, and the main reason he settled for signing on with the corrupt manager who eventually murdered him, was to afford Matt's college education.

With the shift to a much more prestigious and expensive alma mater, with the cost of college having skyrocketed since 1964, and with the sliding timescale to take into account, it has definitely become harder to believe that Jack's boxing earnings would have been enough to pay for more than a semester-or-two. It wouldn't surprise me at all if some future retelling of Matt's origin at least put him in a work study program of some kind to make some extra cash.

As far as loans are concerned, I think a lot of people tend to forget that Nelson & Murdock were/are a very well-known and successful law firm. They've had their low points, sure, but there are plenty of key periods in their careers when they were making a ton of money. The Bendis/Maleev run (in which Matt is a high-profile public figure and goes to court wearing $2,000 suits) is an easy example, but we can look much earlier than that too. Matt is referred to as "one of the finest trial lawyers in the nation" as early as Daredevil volume 1 #20, and check out his swanky, tricked-out Sutton Place brownstone:

Agatha Crowley was born into a wealthy and prestigious pure-blood family known for their diplomatic skills and trading. Her father always wanted a son to carry on the family name and legacy, but instead, he was disappointed to have a daughter. As a result, Agatha was neglected by her father and most of her extended family. Only her mother showed her affection and attention, taking care of her and even allowing her to play with muggle children in their neighborhood.

Agatha's childhood was rough due to her family's neglect and the bullying she experienced from muggle children because of her unnatural hair and eye color. To cope, she became rebellious and defiant, refusing to wear skirts and acting more like a boy to try and please her father.

Despite not showing any signs of magical ability, Agatha's maternal grandfather, a Siamese man who was skilled in Muay Thai, taught her martial arts from a young age. Agatha fell in love with the discipline and art of fighting and trained vigorously with her grandfather.

At the age of 15 Agatha's magical abilities finally awakened, and she received her acceptance letter to Hogwarts, Though she possessed traits of a Gryffindor, her ambitious nature led her to be sorted into Slytherin, much to her family's relief.

In Hogwarts, Agatha's skills in martial arts proved to be an asset in her studies, especially in Defense Against the Dark Arts.
