FREE CHEST MASCULINIZATION POST-OP COMPRESSION GARMENTS 🐛🦋
Please read completely before messaging! Posted April 24th 2024. Offer remains valid until post is edited to reflect otherwise.
I have two post-op compression garments to give away in benefit for my community. These are NOT for pre-op chest binding! Read more below - and please BOOST! 🏳️‍⚧️ ⚧️ 🫂
1 of 2 remaining
GARMENT A IS GOING TO A NEW HOME! Only garment B is available.
I have a 40” underbust measurement - Garment A fit me perfectly and I used it the most. Garment B was definitely too loose for me, and may not have as much compressive capacity even for a larger person, so I would recommend Garment B only as a backup to another garment you have already acquired - keep in mind you will definitely want 2 compression vests as you will need to wash and dry your main one from time to time because you WILL get really smelly lol. Garment A could definitely function as the main compression vest for someone my size.
Requirements:
You are an adult
You are undergoing transgender chest masculinization surgery
Your surgery date is scheduled or otherwise upcoming
You will pass on the garment you receive, assuming it is still wearable, to another trans person who needs it, for free
You message me and indicate which garment you might be interested in
If you can, I would appreciate if you could cover or split postage with me. If you’re in dire straights I will send it for free.
You should only take one of these garments - the person who takes garment B should be larger than me, and garment A should be the same size.
When you message me, I will send further details and photos of the compression garments, and links to the product pages for both.
This post will be edited to reflect availability.
Garment A - UNAVAILABLE
Garment B - available

so many words about historical men's corsetry
(This got way too long to send via Discord -- Dangimace in the Renegade Bindery server asked about men's corset sewing/resource recs so here is my half-assed and non-exhaustive rundown. Most of my historical sewing is focused on fashions of the UK, US, and Europe for the second half of the 18th century and first half of the 19th century, so that bias is reflected here; also disclaimer overall that "menswear"/"womenswear" are socially constructed categories and real people's bodies have always looked a wider variety of ways than fashion and other social forces would dictate. I sew historical garments with enthusiastic disregard for the historical gender binary and I'm barrel-chested, thick-waisted, and narrow-hipped no matter what I'm wearing.)
Onward, lads!
Tumblr media
Ok wrt men's corsetry: there's a whole lot of fogginess around how historical men's corsets were constructed for a bunch of annoying reasons but that means there's lots of possibilities to explore in pattern drafting and project planning. Stays and other stiffened body-shaping garments have a whole complex conceptual relationship to the body basically as soon as they start appearing. 16th and 17th century garments do a whole lot of shaping (both compressing and building up) for men and women alike, but things really kick off in the 18th century in terms of the symbolic weight placed on stays and (later) corsets. Whole lot of stuff about gender, social class, race, fatness, morality, etc. getting projected onto these garments. So I'm a little leery about people taking obviously satirical illustrations of fashion-victim dandies or Gross Corpulent Libertines getting laced into corsets as truthful and indicative of the way men were really dressing -- scurrilous gossip and exaggeration are both a pain to sift through if we want to know which men wore corsets, what kind, and why.
In the very late 18th/early 19th century corsets were part of the repertoire for achieving highly fashionable shapes in menswear. (Along with a whole lot of padding.) They weren't mandatory for all dudes, but for fashion-forward dandies and equally fashion-forward military men, male corsets/stays were definitely a thing. The whole Romantic-era pigeon-breasted, narrow-waisted silhouette can be emulated by shapewear worn beneath the clothes, pads in the garments themselves, or both; in addition to waist reduction it helped to maintain smooth visual lines underneath close-fitting garments.
Tumblr media
(look at these minxy 1830s dudes and their tiny waists)
As the century goes on the desired menswear silhouette becomes boxier and less fitted, and male corsetry recedes into the background; we start to see patents and advertisements for men's corsetry, so they still seem to have been worn, but there's a lot more language around vigorous manly athleticism and supporting the structures of the body. It can be hard to tell whether a particular piece is intended to be worn primarily for some medical purpose or for its perceived aesthetic benefits. This is giving me such flashbacks to trying to find post-surgical compression garments.
(Side note: there's also a vigorous tradition of fetishist writing about corsetry all through the 19th century, in fairly mainstream channels, which is fascinating. Due to the relatively private and deeply horny nature of fetish tightlacing we don't necessarily know as much about what those same letter-writers may have "really" worn at home, but I hope they were having fun.)
I've seen very few specifically men's corsetry patterns from historical pattern-makers-- not even really big names like Redthreaded. I sewed my 19thc menswear corsets from the men's underbust pattern in Laughing Moon Mercantile #113 which afaik is speculative rather than reproducing a specific historical garment, but it's not too different from the women's late-19th-century underbust patterns in the same pattern pack.
Tumblr media
However, a lot of underbust and waist-cincher patterns from more general historical patternmakers could be made suitable with some minor alterations. Here I'd also rec books like Jill Salen's Corsets: Historical Patterns And Techniques and Norah Waugh's Corsets & Crinolines, though their focus is definitely on womenswear and you need to be relatively comfortable scaling up or drafting from pattern diagrams.
The structural features and desired results for a man's corset are pretty much the same as any other corset (back support, compression in some areas, etc.) even when the desired silhouette is different; commercially-created patterns are drafted with the expectation of certain bodily proportions so like with all corset-sewing it's important to make a mockup for fitting purposes. (I ended up liking one of my mockups so much I finished the process and made it a whole separate corset.) I don't know much about this area but I seem to see a lot more belt-and-buckle closures and criss-crossing straps in corsets designated as being for men -- this might be a byproduct of gendered differences in how people got dressed, but it might be nothing.
There's some weird and wonderful historical examples, both extant and in images -- I appreciated this post at Matsuzake Sewing, "A Brief Discussion Of Men's Stays", and its accompanying roundup of images on Pinterest though the tone wrt historical fetishwear corsets in the blog post is a little snippy. I really want to make a replica of Thomas Chew's 1810s corset (which you can read more about here at the USS Constitution Museum) but it incorporates stretch panels made with a shitload of metal springs and I'm not ready for all the trial and error trying to replicate that.
Tumblr media
(image credit: USS Constitution Museum Collections)
There's a pretty rich vein of modern men's corset patterns which seem like they could be easily pattern-hacked for historical costuming purposes, like these with shoulder straps from Corsets By Caroline or DrobeStoreUpcycling's waist cincher which also looks like it could be altered pretty easily to cinch with straps and buckles like some 19thc men's corsetry does. This pattern for a boned chest binder in vest form by KennaSewLastCentury is also really cool but I didn't get a chance to sew it pre-top-surgery. (I think I've also seen someone who made a chest-compressing variation on Regency short stays, but I can't find it now.)
In general a lot of underbust and waist-cincher patterns should work just fine for silhouette-shaping without much bust/hip emphasis -- my usual resource for free corset patterns (Aranea Black) recently took down all her free patterns but they're definitely still circulating out there. For general fashion purposes the sky is the limit and there are a lot of enthusiastic dudes in corsets out there. This Lucy Corsetry round-up shows a variety of modern corsetiers'  styles designated as being for men or more masculine silhouettes (including a SUPER aspirational brocaded corset with matching waistcoat made by Heavenly Corsets that I'd love to sew a historical spin on) and you can see some commonalities and possibilities for body-shaping.
I can also give some more general corset-sewing resources but I'm very much in the learning process here and I'd love any recs or input from people more experienced in pattern-drafting and corset-sewing.

Comprehensive Guide to Using Tape for FTM Binding
In the journey of gender affirmation, using tape for binding can provide comfort and flexibility. Learn how to safely and effectively utilize tape for FTM binding with our detailed guide.
Step 1: Preparation
Begin with clean, dry skin. Consider using skin preparation wipes to ensure optimal tape adhesion and cleanliness.
Step 2: Choosing the Right Tape
Select high-quality kinesiology tape or medical tape that is gentle on the skin yet provides adequate support and compression.
Step 3: Measuring and Cutting
Measure the tape from one side of your chest to the other, ensuring it covers the desired binding area comfortably. Cut the tape into strips as needed, depending on your chest size and binding preferences.
Step 4: Application Technique
Start applying the tape from under one side of the chest, near the armpit, stretching it gently across to the opposite side. Ensure a snug fit without compromising comfort or restricting movement.
Step 5: Layering for Support
Layer additional strips of tape as necessary, overlapping slightly for optimal compression and a smooth appearance. Pay attention to achieving an even distribution of tension for uniform binding.
Step 6: Checking Comfort and Adjustments
Stand in front of a mirror to assess the binding's effectiveness and comfort. Adjust the tape as needed to alleviate any discomfort or ensure a more secure fit.
Step 7: Complementing with Clothing
For added security and compression, consider wearing a supportive sports bra or compression garment over the taped area.
Step 8: Removal and Aftercare
When it's time to remove the tape, do so gently to minimize skin irritation. Use a skin-safe oil to help loosen the adhesive and soothe the skin post-removal.
Benefits of Tape Binding for FTM Individuals
Provides flexibility and comfort compared to traditional binders.
Allows for greater mobility and ease of movement.
Can be discreet under clothing, suitable for various social and physical activities.
Considerations and Tips

Many years ago, I read Temple Grandin's books and thought "wow, a hug machine sounds great!" Consistent, firm pressure with no irritating rubbing? Sign me up! In retrospect, maybe I should have known I was autistic much earlier. Anyhow, I had surgery earlier this year and needed to wear a compression garment to recover, and it was a revelation! I am so much more comfortable through the day with some abdominal compression. There are various options, though the cheap surgical recovery bands wear out pretty quickly. Now I'm looking forward to trying a real corset (as opposed to the "waist trainers" from the big brands, which work fine for me, but are clearly not for everyone). Turns out other autistic people also often benefit from these.

Male Gynecomastia Surgery In Delhi
Gynecomastia is enlargement of the glandular tissue of the male breast. It results from an imbalance within the body’s hormonal system, with a relative more estrogen which is a female hormone in comparison to androgen a male hormone. Other factors which might be risk factors for gynecomastia include obesity, use of anabolic steroids to boost athletic performance, consumption of excessive junk food, thyroid disease. The condition may occur during infancy and puberty in normally developing boys.
youtube
Gynecomastia itself has few physical complications, but it can cause psychological and emotional trauma because of its appearance.
Gynecomastia can affect one or both breasts, and may sometimes be uneven. Gynecomastia may settle on its own in some cases but if it persists then surgical correction is the mainstay for its improvement. The procedure includes surgical removal of excess glandular tissue together with liposuction of accumulated fat. It can be done as a day care procedure and performed either under local anesthesia or general anesthesia depending on severity and patient compliance. The surgery helps in regaining the flat appearance of the chest area.
Symptoms of Gynecomastia
Skin excess with hanging appearance of the chest region
Puffiness of Nipple areola complex
Breast tenderness
Swelling of chest area
Candidates for surgical consideration
Must be above 18 years old
Males who feel shy due to the swollen and prominent chest appearance.
Have unsatisfactory results after diet and exercise regime.
Must be in a healthy state.
Self-conscious and disturbed daily routine because of their chest appearance
For better results it is recommended to stop smoking for some weeks before and after the surgery.
Benefits of Gynecomastia Surgery
Improved self-esteem and regaining inner confidence
Help in achieving a more defined physique.
Flatter chest appearance.
Can opt to wear well fitted clothes without feeling self-conscious.
Provides relief from social embarrassment.
Duration
Short duration, usually no admission required.
Post-operative care
After the surgery, the chest area will have little swelling and may be bruised but this is temporary. Immediate wearing of compression garment post-surgery helps to improve swelling and provide support to the treated area. The compression garments must be worn for a minimum of 6 weeks for proper body contouring. Heavy exercises are prohibited for the initial few weeks after the surgery.

wanted to reach out with some tips for dead on their feet tired from their first job anon- from another chronic pain haver who used to work food service! Sorry if some of this comes off as lecturing, mostly just trying to share stuff I wish I had learned earlier.
it's totally normal to be tired after 5 hours of strenuous activity, especially if that's the longest you've worked so far and it's on top of a general increase in shifts! no matter what position you work, food service is hard physical labor that is tiring.
also pain can add quite a lot of fatigue! you might be more tired than your coworkers because your body is dealing with more. pain is often inflamation response, which is taxing on your body in multiple ways.
Managing and minimizing your pain can go a long way to help you work sustainably, also! I don't know if you have any diagnosis or treatment for your pain, but definitely keep that up if you do (and look at seeing a doctor if you don't and are able!! it is not normal to be in pain daily, esp as a teen). Make sure you understand and use any ergonomic working positions and how to lift and carry things safely, these can make a huge difference. when in pain it's hard to not slump or lean into bad positions, but it's important to build the strength to do tasks sustainably. doing something wrong enough once can really injure you, but repeatedly doing something wrong can lead to needing months of physical therapy too. also, antiinflammatory meds like ibuprofen or naproxen are good to use to treat soreness but also help prevent inflamation while working, so taking them preventatively may help. Its common for people with chronic pain to need to take meds like those, and sometimes things like Tylenol in addition, daily to be able to manage pain and prevent worse flare ups (tho again should have doctor to talk about pain management with!) Personally I use naproxen (bc it lasts 12 hours) and Tylenol together to help manage my pain.
finally, especially for foot/ankle/calf pain: COMPRESSION SOCKS. you can get like sports ones and even those will help a LOT. they reduce and prevent inflamation, while adding some gentle support to your joints. also even cheap sole inserts to help add some padding in your shoes can help a lot (most non slip shoes suck with having any padding). compression and support garments can be lifesaving in general and there are a lot of different kinds, but I think basically everyone who works on their feet can benefit from compression socks.
Thank you for stepping in! I don't work and I have never dealt with chronic pain, so I didn't have much to say on either of those topics

✨Welcome to my OC MasterDump✨
Meowdy! This here post is gonna be used to make a funny littl masterlist of oc information, and I'll probably be adding to it as time goes on! I'll likely include some images + a burb or some lore abt each ch mentioned :)
Tumblr media
Syl~! This one's my fursona, hes got pretty loose lore considering he's basically how I see myself! He's weird, introverted, and a funny spicey artist online like meself. He's loosely from somewhere in outer space, but lives on earth in a fairly rural community with his partner Lio, where he likes to enjoy foraging and fishing. hes got interests in botany, and self-sufficiency, and is very independent. Hes got a couple of different forms and aus, including the one in which hes a vampire maid to a lord in a castle, one where hes a medieval wizard in an apothecary, and one where hes actually spacefaring and has relationships with various alien crewmates :) He's also got a rather interesting biology, in the sense that he doesn't have many bones! The slime in him is parasitic, and takes the place of muscles and organs in his body to keep him functioning. Its a mutualistic relationship, where neither really harms the other and both benefit. The largest bone has has left is his skull, and he can squeeze into almost any space his skull can fit, like an octopus! The slime can also absorb water and take in objects for storage or digestion. He can change his shape and slime's density at will, becoming huge or small, and extremely liquidy or hard as rocks. His tail is also really sharp, and can be used for defense if needed!
Tumblr media
Lio!! This is Syl's Partner, funny fish gorl... Shes extroverted, level-headed, and can be pretty competitive. She drives a beat-up old truck, she chops wood, and she loves to be outside and with people. she likes to swim and surf, and will frequently engage in other sports, such as baseball or volleyball. Shes can be a serial flirt and a huge tease, and will affectionately push buttons if you're close enough with her. Lio is the person you know who just exudes confidence, and knows who they are. Both lio and syl are kinda more..... slice-of-life-y, than a lot of my other ocs, and don't really have much of a story to them! but they're simply comforting to me,,,
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Morelle! This is everyone's favorite dragon from twitter, lmao. Shes soft-spoken and kindhearted, and knows shes very pretty and will use that to her advantage when needed. Defaultly, shes a fiber artist who knits and sews clothing for her small business and for herself, having a huge interest in fashion and dressing for herself. shes got her own sense of style !! She's also FAR larger than the average person in the Sylkyverse, standing at around 8ft tall, and around 4ft wide on average. She does have to be mindful of where she can go sometimes, and when this is an issue, she's known to have a few compression garments in her extensive wardrobe! Shes also got a girlfriend, Avie, who does most of her advertisement for her clothing. Morelle also is in the medieval au with syl! shes even bigger, and a lovely knight whos a merc for hire. she mostly takes payment in magic items or unusual wares for her hoard! She's a sucker for a good barrel of cider and a warm bed, and will always help out a pretty maiden...💕
Tumblr media
Daphne!! This one here's a gamer. a shut-in streamer, even. shes chronically online, and spends most of her time eating and getting competitive. Daphne isn't opposed to hanging out irl, but she prefers smaller get-togethers to large ones. shes down for a fun night in with a few close friends for sure! Shes also the type to write about her player characters in her games, and is a massive nerd for expanding the lore given to her to suit her own ideas of what would be fun. She'd make a great dungeon master!
Tumblr media
And My newest ch !!! Nymh!! They are an angel in disguise, but is more morally grey than anything. they're in disguise on earth to study what motivates mortal creatures, and has done this for hundreds of years under a lot of different guises. They currently pose as an office worker (In the same design firm as Avie) to get in on the office gossip and experience community in the present workforce. They're besties with Avie, and they often have lunch together. They also have a tendency to fight other angels and demons outside of the office to get the energy out, and enjoy a challenge. They don't even mind losing, and in fact find it thrilling to be bested. They are very vain and can be extremely condescending to others if they do not like them, and can be nasty if you get in their way or seek to impede their studies. they're skilled in a lot of magic and arts, and excel at what they do. They are somewhat insect-like, and have morally grey tendencies and ideals. coworkers would describe them as odd, but a very good worker whos nice enough.
Tumblr media
Avie is a stone cold buisnesswoman, who has little time for nonsense and is almost soully dedicated to her work, her soft spot is for Morelle. She's very much "My hands look like this so hers can look like this". Her relationship with Nymh is fairly close, as they have similar motivations and dedications to work. They gossip with eachother frequently. Avie also enjoys a drink when shes got the time. She is very loving and protective, and doesn't take very well to strangers most of the time. She can be grumpy and intimidating, but is thoughtful in her own way and has a great memory. she shows love with gift-giving, and really the surefire way to know she likes you is to get a gift from her. shes not the best about expressing herself through words.
Tumblr media
Dio is a former angel, and ascribes to speaking with mortals to simply enjoy being around people again, as they find the afterlife and angel work to be stuffy and boring. Unlike Nymh, Dio was alive once upon a time. They don't often disguise themself, and freely walk around with others. they enjoy music shows and anywhere where theres a nightlife. They enjoy sensual pleasures, and have a tendency to overindulge in the finer things. They also enjoy hanging around ghosts and keeping them company, somewhat ironically doing they angel work in their own way to give company to those who haven't passed yet.
Tumblr media
Eilidh !! Another seamstress, eilidh specializes in making compression garments! Her and Morelle make things together frequently, and share patterns and trade fabrics. Eilidh can be more hot-headed and quick to succumb to stress, they come off as a littl high-strung. They're excitable and sweet otherwise, and smile a lot. they also exist in medieval au, as a cleric who routinely travels with Morelle! they provide great support and pack a whallop themselves, and kinda follow morelle around because of the sheer power she packs. (and.... well... who wouldn't want to follow around a gorgeous dragon like her??) Eilidh seeks to catalogue all of the creatures and they creative ways they use magic in the realm to inspire them and focus that inspiration into their own spells!
That's all for now ig!! I have more but I need to finish refs for them </3 This will be updated with more characters at a later date!! Ty for reading !!

the praetorium took more from than his soldiers and his pride - and he continues to pay the price.
his wounds were many and more, but few are as obvious as the burns to his face and the state of his left arm. the defeat against the Warrior of Light had dented and scarred the legati's armor, but he had yet to be truly wounded. it was atop Ultima and the fall that followed that nearly killed him.
his armor buckled under the force of each Primal's removal from the weapon. the command center at the head of the machina began to fail even before the first Primal was ripped from it's existence, the electricity sparking and magitek starting to stutter under the stress. a means of escape had been built into the unit: the place where he stood could, in theory, be released, the platform designed to take the brunt of the fall's force.
but it required a manual override, and gaius was not a man to give up simply because. it never was going to be used by the legatus. he would die in the machine before turned tail and ran.
or so he believed. the Ultima had other intentions, the broken corpse of the XIV legion shattering and dumping the man out from where he hid some forty fulms from the ground. the fall bent and distended his armor, and his bones followed, forced out of place by the metal plating. his ribs cracked and shattered on impact; he suffered a compound fracture in his lower leg, contained by his armor, that insisted he would not escape the place on his own two feet.
and so he laid, flames licking at the legati's broken body, heating the metal he wore to the point of burns. the mask seared flesh from his face, resulting in dark stretches of scarring that remain even years afterward.
but it was his arm that he laid upon that suffered the worse. his shoulder forced out of socket, pressing against the armor in a way he couldn't hope to adjust, and as the ground neath his broken body began to warm from the sheer extent of the blaze, his arm was the first part of him to begin to cook. the leather that Garleans so oft wore was, in fact, not genuine leather: most are synthetic, composed of ceruleum and other man-made materials, intended to reduce the likelihood of electric or magitek shock and allow for the use of touch-screens.
real leather does not melt. real leather does not melt into the skin and settle, creating rivers of molten ceruleum through the layers of skin. but ceruleum-aided leather does, and the oil-based polymer cloth melted flesh from bone. his fingers suffered the worst, but his left arm is still scarred and uneven.
in the aftermath immediately after, Valdeaulin is the one to set and wrap his broken pieces. while not a conjurer by any means, basic healing capabilities and potion making is strongly encouraged among native Gridanians - especially among Duskwights, who are so often spurned by Gridanian culture and society at large. he healed over time, but not without suffering, nor issues. his ribs are crooked; the compound fracture takes the longest route to healing, and ensures he is thoroughly and entirely in the debt of Valdeaulin and Severa.
Gaius continues to wear his own attempt at a homemade compression garment around his hand and arm: the bandages he so oft wears. they aid in the scarring process and give him a range of motion that, had he not wrapped his limb, would have been wholly lost by tight scar tissue. his shoulder aches no matter the weather, and he has lost all sensation under the scar tissue. his fingers lack prints; his arm lacks hair. he only scarcely is able to feel the limb to move it, like one may struggle to feel an arm they fell asleep on.
(He would probably benefit from the use of a cane, and takes one up once he stays long-term at Tercliff. the compound fracture causes him to limp, as his legs are no longer as close in length as they naturally tend to be. he was extremely, extremely lucky that infection didn't settle in: his armor hid the exposed bone from most elements until Valdeaulin sets it, and they took pains to keep the wound clean and sanitized. however, the both of them could only do so much without expert medical attention, which was what lead to the man's limp.)

Sundergarments and Shapewear Solutions.
Summer unders. I cannot overstate the value of a well-placed nipple cover or being able to sit (or stand) comfortably at a hot and humid wedding ceremony without sweat dripping in awkward crevices like your inner thigh. There are indeed quite simple and available solutions to ensure you feel perfect in your killer new dress.
This topic has been covered, to say the least, but I'm looking at it from our post-covid lens (you know the one where we actually just want to be comfortable.) The idea is less about squeezing in to an uncomfortable gown that is too small to begin with, that you didn't get altered (more on that next week), and not eating a single morsel for the entire evening just for the sake of pulling off a 12th century badge of suffocating your organs...
but rather...
pulling on a soft cooling pair of boy shorts under your skirt so you can sit comfortably without your legs sweating and having to peel yourself away from the chair. Even better - get this: the evolution of undergarments and shapewear is such that some of these particulars you can just wear around the house and fall asleep in. Yep. They are, like, comfortable and soft.
After we finished all the design adjustments for our Emerson Jumpsuit - and there were many - we were suddenly intrigued by the versatility of the garment. You could dress this puppy way up or just normal spectactular, and you could wear it all day and into the night. There was something familiar about the one-piece jumpsuit fit and then I realized when I was packing my daughter's swim bag, the familiarity was from childhood when we just threw on our overalls or one piece terry jumpers. Aha moment!
So that all being said, when we design our collections, we take into account whether we would wear the pieces ourselves - two active, professional women with careers and mothers to a collective four kids. Some items are more forgiving than others, but strap and zipper placement, ease through the legs and loose jackets are all part of the mix.
Back to the aha moment, there is huge potential to increase the wearability of your closet just by wearing the right items underneath. Some benefits are obvious: compression and smoothing of your body under your clothes, slimming your figure and reducing wrinkles and folds in your ensemble. Less obvious might be how under-attire protects your prize wardrobe piece from the oils, lotions and perspiration of your skin. As it's the death valley of summer heat while I write this, i'm thinking primarily of dripping sweat and sticky skin mitigation, but I wore a super soft bodysuit in various styles from Everlane during a busy winter travel schedule to the Northeast and it was game-changing.
Bottom line: there are many winner brands and undergarments in our research. The best, however, are the garments that fit YOUR body best. Try them all. Don't force yourself into something that is too small. Buy several styles in both light and dark colors.
Specifics that we love & what to wear them with:
Honeylove "Super Powershort." $89
True shapewear but just the right amount of compression and ease with movement. Our more petite models raved about this fit. Pairs well with all dresses and skirts.
Commando "Classic Control High-Waisted Short." $72
Light compression, and we love the range of neutral colors. The raw edge hems are right up our style alley and these shorts stay put. Pairs well with all dresses and skirts.
Commando "Ballet One-Shoulder Bodysuit." $108
Light like a feather, slim and stretchy, not controlling. Great with the Burke Dress, Rhys Tank and Knox Tunic.
Thigh Society "The Staple." $39
One product wonder here, but we wore these all day in our office with a tee. Less compression here, this is for comfort and coverage under really any piece, pants to skirts and dresses. Several lengths available. We tried the staple in several lengths, but more options abound. Side note: I even wore the black pair on a run! Pairs well with all dresses and skirts.
Skims "Fits Everybody One Shoulder Cut-Out Bodysuit." $62
Found this as we were looking for just the right item for our asymmetric Burke Dress and Rhys Tank. Real good. As is the Seamless Sculpt Bandeau. And the Cotton Rib Onesie. No secret Skims is having a moment - yay - but drawback is many items sold out and colors are limited. Pairs well with the asym garments like the Burke Dress, Rhys Tank and Knox Tunic.
Everlane "Cutaway Tank Bodysuit." $40
Supima Cotton, sustainably sourced, soft. So versatile - under a blazer, under anything, visible or not, highly recommend, just wish they had more colors. Available in both bikini and thong. This is a favorite for sure and the item I wore all winter under ever darn thing. Pairs well with suiting sets under the Hollis Blazer with Sloane Pant, Livvy Pant.
Lululemon Ribbed Nulu Asymmetrical Yoga Bra. $58
Smaller chested winner! Sizing is confusing with this item, helps to start with measuring your band size just below your breasts. Pairs well with the asym garments like the Burke Dress, Rhys Tank and Knox Tunic.
Emily Marie Apparel Power Bra. $28
One-shoulder with removeable pads. We love the inclusive intention behind this brand and this bra works perfect with our asymmetric pieces. Comfy AF! Pairs well with the asym garments like the Burke Dress, Rhys Tank and Knox Tunic.

Maximizing Muscle Recovery with Compression 3, 4, and 5-Piece Sets in Sportswear
Introduction:
In the world of hip-hop and urban wear fashion, the concept of functional clothing goes beyond mere style. One such trend gaining popularity is the use of compression sets, specifically 3, 4, and 5-piece sets, for sportswear and muscle recovery. These sets offer both fashion-forward aesthetics and significant benefits in supporting athletes and fitness enthusiasts during their training sessions. In this blog post, we will explore how compression sets aid in muscle recovery and enhance athletic performance.
The Science Behind Compression Sets:
Compression sets consist of snug-fitting garments that exert gentle pressure on the muscles, enhancing blood circulation, and supporting muscle stability. They are typically made from breathable, stretchable fabrics like spandex or elastane, which provide a comfortable and flexible fit. The compression technology utilized in these sets plays a vital role in optimizing muscle recovery.
Improved Blood Circulation:
Wearing compression sets stimulates blood flow, ensuring a steady supply of oxygen and nutrients to the muscles. This enhanced circulation aids in flushing out metabolic waste products, such as lactic acid, that can accumulate during intense workouts. By reducing the build-up of waste and promoting nutrient delivery, compression sets help speed up muscle recovery and reduce post-workout soreness.
Muscle Stability and Reduced Fatigue:
During training, muscles can experience micro-tears and vibrations that lead to fatigue and potential injury. Compression sets provide targeted support to major muscle groups, reducing muscle oscillation and enhancing stability. This added stability can minimize muscle damage, decrease fatigue, and contribute to better overall performance.
Reduced Muscle Soreness:
Intense training sessions often leave individuals with muscle soreness, also known as delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS). Compression sets can alleviate the discomfort associated with DOMS by applying gentle pressure to affected areas. This compression promotes faster recovery by reducing inflammation and providing support to fatigued muscles.
Enhanced Recovery and Injury Prevention:
The graduated compression levels found in 3, 4, and 5-piece sets are designed to provide different pressure zones, with the highest compression near the extremities. This feature helps enhance lymphatic drainage, reducing swelling and aiding in the removal of metabolic waste products. Furthermore, compression sets can help prevent injuries by providing additional support to joints, tendons, and ligaments, reducing the risk of strains or sprains.
Style and Versatility:
Apart from their functional benefits, compression sets are available in a wide range of stylish designs, colors, and patterns, making them a fashionable choice for hip-hop and urban wear enthusiasts. Athletes and fitness enthusiasts can express their personal style while enjoying the advantages of compression technology.
Conclusion:
Compression sets have emerged as a fashionable and functional trend in the hip-hop and urban wear fashion world, particularly for sportswear and muscle recovery. By improving blood circulation, reducing muscle oscillation, minimizing fatigue, and supporting overall muscle recovery, these sets play a vital role in enhancing athletic performance. Their combination of style and functionality makes them an ideal choice for individuals seeking both fashion-forward apparel and optimal training support. So, whether you're hitting the gym or practicing your moves, consider incorporating compression 3, 4, and 5-piece sets into your wardrobe to take your sportswear game to the next level.

Does Tummy Tuck Cause Stomach Issues?
Tumblr media
Tummy tuck or abdominoplasty is done to tighten the loose skin and muscle as well. This is a cosmetic surgery done to improve the overall appearance of the belly area of the candidate. Like every other procedure, a tummy tuck also has some complications that may arise if you have had this surgery. You may suffer from some gastrointestinal problems after a tummy tuck. But before knowing about the same, let’s look into why a tummy tuck is done in the first place.
What is a tummy tuck? Why is it done?
Aside from removing excess skin and fat, the cosmetic surgeon may use sutures to tighten the connective tissues of the abdomen. The entire goal of the operation is to give the abdomen a more toned and sleek appearance.
Can a tummy tuck cause gastric problems?
There are fewer complications that may occur after tummy tuck surgery. However, the benefits have outweighed the risk of the same. On the other hand, if you have other digestive issues like GERD, urinary incontinence, the pressure inside the tummy may get raised temporarily.
As per our cosmetic surgeon, the stomach issues that may happen include-
Upper abdomen bulge- a soft bulge or swelling at the upper belly area. This may happen due to significant tightening of the lower abdomen during the surgery.
Compartment syndrome in the abdomen- this may happen due to increased abdominal pressure after abdominoplasty.
Low blood pressure, respiratory problems, abdominal distension, and reduced urine are some of the symptoms.
When the rectus abdominis muscles are not returned to their natural anatomical positions by the surgeon, this can happen. This has been most commonly encountered in the RAFT(rectus abdominis fat transfer) procedure.
Swelling- one of the most common GI (gastrointestinal) symptoms that can happen after a tummy tuck. It will go on its own after four to six months. Even after that, if this persists, you should consult your surgeon immediately.
Infection- it’s a rare complication, infection can happen from the suture or stitch itself i.e placed after surgery.
You may experience fever, redness, swelling in the affected area.
This may happen only if-
The patient is allergic to the prescribed antibiotics and skipped his/her medicines.
Antibiotics are not given before the surgery
The patient has a history of previous MRSA( methicillin-resistant staph aureus), an infection that needs intensive treatment.
Fluid accumulation — Fluid collection in the gap between the abdominal skin and the muscle beneath it. A seroma (collection of wound fluid) or hematoma (collection of blood) are two types of fluid buildup.
When nothing is done to avoid it, fluid accumulates. The candidate must wear compression garments for at least a few weeks following the treatment to prevent such consequences.
Fluid pads can be placed over the area that is prone to fluid accumulation.
However, a tummy tuck will not affect digestion once it has been healed. Immediately after surgery, you may feel bloating, swelling, or constipation that might go away with time.Conclusion-By simply packing their medical journey to India, liver transplant treatment can substantially benefit the patient. We also offer a comprehensive range of counseling for coping with emotional changes to our international patients.

Find Freedom in Your Identity: Our Top Picks for the Best Binders for Female-to-Male Transgender Individuals!
Finding the perfect binder can be a difficult challenge for anyone, and that's especially the case for transgender males. Chest binders are an important part of transitioning and provide both physical and mental health benefits to transmasculine individuals. They are especially important when you think about all of the harmful options that people use instead, including duct tape and ace bandages, that should never be used for chest binding. But with binders, there are so many different kinds, shapes, sizes, and styles out there on the market, it can prove hard to choose which one is right for you!
We have done extensive research into this subject area to make your shopping experience easier by bringing together a comprehensive guide of our top picks for the best binders specifically designed with female-to-male (FTM) transgender people in mind. Read on to find out more about these awesome options!
What is a Chest Binder for FTM Individuals?
A chest binder is a type of chest compression garment specifically designed for gender nonconforming individuals, particularly those who identify as transgender female-to-male (FTM) folks, though anyone can wear one if they so desire. The purpose of a chest binder is to flatten the appearance of one’s chest, providing gender expression that better aligns with gender identity. This does wonders for improving self-esteem and confidence among trans people who experience significant levels of chest dysphoria. Binders are typically made out of stretchy fabric, allowing them to be comfortable and accommodating to different sizes while still providing necessary compression.
Chest binders have been used safely by gender nonconforming individuals for decades and have recently become more accessible due to businesses that produce gender-affirming clothing. Chest binders serve to play an important role in helping gender nonconforming people express themselves authentically, in addition to helping alleviate the harrowing symptoms associated with gender dysphoria.
The Best Chest Binder for FTM
Several brands of chest binders are available that cater specifically to the needs of trans men and other individuals who choose to bind their chests. The following are a few of the very best binder companies that trans folks looking for their first binder should check out.
Underworks Ultra Flat Chest Binder
Underworks Ultra Flat Chest Binder is perhaps the most popular chest binder for those who belong to the FTM transgender community. This type of chest binder is designed for maximum comfort, offering an impressive level of construction with strong, supportive materials and a wide array of accommodating sizes.
In addition to limiting visibility under clothing, additional features on this model include double-needle edging, reinforced shoulder straps, and stretchy seamless side panels that give it a contoured design along with greater overall freedom of movement.
The Underworks Ultra Flat Chest Binder also provides excellent support in areas like the back and shoulders while helping to reduce compression along the sides, which allows trans people to maintain their ability to breathe adequately even during long periods of wear. All things considered, this chest binder offers plenty of benefits to anyone seeking a more comfortable and visually appealing body shape that represents their gender identity!
GC2B Compression Chest Binder
If you're looking for a commercial chest binder as part of your transgender body transformation, the GC2B Compression Chest Binder is a phenomenal option to consider. Designed with ease and comfort in mind, these binders are made from lightweight and breathable fabric, which provides ample support throughout the day. It also has adjustable straps that allow for a customizable fit. Plus, its two-column hook closures make it easier to take on and off.
Best of all, its ultra-soft interior lining makes it comfortable to wear for long periods of time—perfect for meetings or social events! Whatever your needs, the GC2B Compression Chest Binder is a reliable commercial chest binder that promises quality results in both looks and feels.
Econo Series Chest Binder and Tank
When it comes to chest binders that serve as an excellent addition to the transition process, Econo Series Chest Binder and Tank are quickly becoming popular choices for those looking for both comfort and modesty. Both of these types of chest binder feature compression fabric that is lightweight yet incredibly strong. It conforms softly to your body to minimize any discomfort that can be caused by chest binding.
The tank has a solid design, with a U-back and reinforced straps, so you can still have confidence even while wearing a t-shirt or dress shirt during the summer months. As far as the chest binder from this company goes, its airy material traps just enough heat to regulate temperature while providing ample ability to breathe over long periods of time being worn.
The products that this brand offers for trans people are also easy to wear under all kinds of clothing; whether it’s dressy attire or casual wear, the adjustable straps and seams make them versatile enough to serve many different needs, easily qualifying this to be one of the best binders available. Furthermore, because of their affordability and durability, both the tank and chest binder offer great value for those just starting their female-to-male journey!
T-Kingdom Chest Binder Tank Top
The T-Kingdom Chest Binder Tank Top is one of the most popular chest binders for FTM individuals looking to reduce the appearance of breast tissue and boost their self-esteem. Crafted from a breathable and flexible spandex blend material, this binder provides comfort throughout the day and locks in moisture. The top is double-layered to ensure that breast tissue is securely hidden while also keeping skin cool and dry.
The T-Kingdom Chest Binder Tank Top comes in various sizes to accommodate different body measurements and types, as well as different waist ranges. Not only does it provide an effective method of creating a flat chest, but the top is also fashionable, with several colors available that make it an ideal choice for those seeking a discreet binder option. You're guaranteed to find the right size binder in a style that you love with this binder company. This is a great option to consider on your journey to better represent your gender identity!
Ultimate Chest Binder Tank
The Ultimate Chest Binder Tank is an excellent option for those undergoing the female-to-male transition and looking to compress their chest for a cosmetic flattening effect. This type of chest binder is designed to provide maximum coverage, reaching from just above the nipple to just below the bust. It features thin straps that offer comfort and support, as well as adjustable ones that can be tightened or loosened depending on what is most comfortable for the wearer.
The tank itself offers complete coverage, so it can be worn under any clothing type with no worries of it peeking through. The breathable mesh material allows for air circulation and means you can wear it all day without worrying about excessive perspiration. No matter what your size or shape, The Ultimate Chest Binder Tank is a great choice for any trans person looking to bind safely, securely, and comfortably while minimizing feelings of gender dysphoria.
How to Measure Yourself for a Chest Binder
Tumblr media
Understanding how to yourself for a chest binder is an important step for any trans masc person which can sometimes be a bit tricky, but don't worry; with a few simple steps, most people can measure themselves accurately and get the most out of their binders.
First, it's important to note that most binders are designed for a relatively large chest size, so you'll want to bear that in mind when selecting one. To measure correctly, make sure you're wearing loose clothes and standing straight up in front of a mirror. Taking measurements is straightforward: you'll measure your chest at its widest part below your armpit, then around the area just above your nipples, as well as the distance from under your armpit to just below your breast.
Typically most binders will fit comfortably in this range, so double-check the measurement chart for more accurate sizing before purchasing! With these tips measuring yourself for a chest binder as FTM will be much easier and allow you to find something suitable and comfortable with minimal difficulty.
Tips for Wearing Chest Binder for FTM
Choose the Right Size
Finding the right size chest binder is important for many trans masc individuals, as proper binder fit helps ensure the comfort and effectiveness of the binding process. If a binder is too small, it can become very uncomfortable; too big and won't provide adequate support, which doesn't do much for eliminating gender dysphoria symptoms. There are a variety of free chest binders available to choose from, depending on your size and style preferences.
Researching the type of free chest binder you'd like to wear, along with any sizing guides that may be available online, can help ensure you pick the correct size — one that will give you comfort and security during your transition. Additionally, many binder companies allow you to try out a full-length binder or Trans-Vormer strapless binder so that you can find the best fit for your body before purchasing any more!
Put on the Binder Correctly
Wearing chest binders for FTM individuals is becoming increasingly popular in the transgender community because it's such an effective step toward representing one's true gender identity. Chest binders are tight-fitting garments designed to give a flattened physical appearance and can help with self-confidence and presentation. To get the maximum benefit from your chest binder, it is important to make sure you put it on correctly.
Before you put on your binder, ensure that you warm up and stretch—standing side stretches, arm swings, and shoveling will help reduce any discomfort and prevent muscle strain. Once your binder is on, adjust it so that it's snug but not too constricting—the goal is to use compression rather than restrict airflow or movement.
Finally, don't forget to listen to your body. If wearing a chest binder causes pain or discomfort, remove it immediately and consult with a doctor if necessary. With proper preparation and care, wearing a binder can be an empowering experience.
Wear the Binder for a Few Hours at a Time
If you are an FTM person who is looking for advice on how to safely and effectively wear a chest binder, it is important to remember that the binder should be worn for only a few hours at a time. Doing so will help ensure your comfort and safety while helping prevent any irritation or health issues that prolonged wearing of the binder can cause. Wearing a binder for too long can easily result in pain or breathing issues, so it's essential that you give your body breaks from wearing a binder.
It is also important to ensure the binder fits well and stays secure against your body. Otherwise, it could become uncomfortable or even irritate the skin, especially if you have sensitive skin. If you think you may have worn it for too long, take a break from wearing it and try to relax. Additionally, make sure to keep your chest dry so that moisture does not get trapped in the binder's fabric, as this can lead to skin irritation and even fungal infections. Following these tips will help make sure your experience with binding is as safe and enjoyable as possible!
Wash Your Binder Regularly
Tumblr media
Wearing a chest binder can be an important part of a successful transition for those who identify as trans masc, non-binary, or otherwise wish to appear to have a flat chest. Taking proper care of your binder will help ensure it is used in the most effective and comfortable way possible because a dirty binder can prevent adequate fit or cause other issues with its use. Washing your binder regularly is one key step to take in order to keep up with your binder's maintenance and make sure that it remains squeaky clean.
It's important to use only mild detergent and warm water when washing, and line drying also helps prevent damage done by protective components such as hooks or Velcro. Air drying is ideal, but if you must use a dryer, you must use no heat in order to prevent any shrinking. It's best to hang your binder up loosely, which you can do by draping it over a clothing hanger if you're strapped for space. Keep up on the laundering, and you'll be taking great care of your chest binder!
Seek Medical Advice if Necessary
When it comes to chest binding tips for FTM trans people, especially transgender youth, seeking medical advice is definitely one of the top pieces of guidance to consider. Undershirts and other chest binding solutions can limit chest movement and put additional stress on your rib cage. Your doctor will be able to provide advice about any considerations necessary for your particular circumstance when deciding if you should use certain types of binders at all. This is especially important for transgender teens, as the additional hormone therapy or gender affirmation surgery aspects come into play.
Furthermore, a physician can help you assess which binders are best suited for your body based on the size and shape of your physique, as well as what type of fabric would be most comfortable or help reduce sweating and other skin irritation issues. As with anything new in life, taking every precaution and being smart is key. Therefore, consulting with medical advice prior to securing a chest binder is essential.
How to Put On and Take off a Binder
For most FTM individuals, safely and effectively putting on and taking off a chest binder can be an essential part of their transition journey. Putting on a binder correctly ensures comfort and securely binding the chest area to reduce the visibility of breasts. Although most binders are easy to use, they can cause injury and other issues if not used correctly, especially if worn for extended periods of time.
Begin by standing up with your arms straight down and back towards the ground. Hold the binder at either end with each hand, then bring it up behind you like a cape. Wrap it around so that both ends meet in front of your body, ensuring that the tags or labels are facing outwards. Pull tightly across your chest, extending downwards below your breasts to ensure they are securely bound.
Next, add any additional fastening closures or buckles from top to bottom as desired before repeating this step on the opposite side. To remove the binder, begin by unhooking any straps or buckles from the back first; doing so first will help avoid discomfort once the compression is released from your chest area. Then follow the steps in reverse order: start by undoing one side at a time, loosening it until it pulls away comfortably before then unwrapping each side and finally taking off your binder completely. With careful application each time you put on your binder and mindful removal thereafter, you will ensure an enjoyable experience while safely achieving desired results!
Final Thoughts
Tumblr media
Chest binding is an important part of a successful transition for many of those who identify as trans masc or gender nonconforming. Finding the best binder for your body and wearing it in the most comfortable, safe way possible can help you feel more confident and secure during this time. Researching different chest binders to find the one that fits you best, putting it on correctly and wearing it for only a few hours at a time, washing the binder regularly, and seeking medical advice if necessary will help ensure your experience with chest binding is as pleasant and stress-free as possible. Remember, being safe and smart should always be your top priority!

Compression Shorts: The Performance-Boosting Gear Revolutionizing Fitness
In the ever-evolving world of fitness, athletes and enthusiasts are constantly on the lookout for the next big thing that can enhance their performance and aid in their recovery. One such innovation that has taken the athletic community by storm is compression shorts. These form-fitting garments have become a go-to choice for athletes across various sports, and for good reason. In this blog, we will explore the benefits of compression shorts and why they have become an essential piece of gear for anyone seeking to maximize their potential.
Enhanced Muscle Support and Stability:
Compression shorts are designed to provide a tight, yet comfortable fit around the muscles. This compression helps improve blood flow, reducing muscle oscillation and vibration during exercise. By minimizing excessive muscle movement, these shorts promote better biomechanical alignment and stability. Athletes who wear compression shorts often report feeling more supported, which can lead to improved performance and a reduced risk of muscle strains and injuries.
Tumblr media
Increased Power and Endurance:
When muscles are properly supported, they can generate more power and maintain it for longer durations. Compression shorts are known to enhance muscle efficiency by aiding in oxygen delivery to the working muscles. The increased blood flow and improved venous return from wearing compression gear can delay the onset of muscle fatigue, allowing athletes to push their limits and achieve better overall performance.
Faster Recovery and Reduced Muscle Soreness:
Post-workout recovery is a crucial aspect of any training regimen. Compression shorts play a significant role in accelerating this process. The graduated compression provided by these shorts helps remove metabolic waste products, such as lactic acid, from the muscles more efficiently. This aids in reducing muscle soreness and inflammation, allowing athletes to recover quicker and get back to their training routine with less downtime.
Temperature Regulation and Moisture Management:
Another advantage of compression shorts is their ability to regulate body temperature. The moisture-wicking properties of compression fabrics help keep the body cool and dry during intense workouts by drawing sweat away from the skin. This feature is particularly beneficial for athletes participating in high-intensity sports or training in hot and humid conditions.
Conclusion:
Compression shorts have revolutionized the way athletes approach their training and recovery. With their ability to enhance muscle support, increase power and endurance, expedite recovery, and regulate body temperature, these shorts have become a staple in the fitness world. Whether you are a professional athlete striving for peak performance or a fitness enthusiast seeking an extra edge, investing in a pair of compression shorts can be a game-changer. So, gear up, embrace the compression revolution, and unlock your full athletic potential!
