Ah…well, that was a tad bit of information overload. I get some of it, a lot about mirrors and stuff, but I really need to find the Read-Out for this Mirror Arena thing. It's gotta be around here somewhere…maybe in this very mansion! Time to look around and see!

Ah, a classic AU! Thank you for this, @candyforthebrain!

first words/thoughts your soulmate says/thinks when seeing you are written on your skin.

In this AU, what’s written are the first thoughts when the soulmate is physically seen, but it doesn’t have to be in-person - photographs and the like would also count.

Adriana first knows about Luna when she enters the Voclain Estate, because Serra and Bennett and Elias mention her, and then sees her on TV as part of Gossip Gardevoir’s Interview Intermissions just after that point. Therefore, her first thoughts upon seeing Luna are “That’s the girl they were looking for!”

Luna, on the other hand, has likely heard of Adriana through Gardevoir, since she knows about her exploits and would definitely talk to Luna about them. However, she doesn’t actually physically see Adri until she arrives at Vanhanen Castle, and when she sees her, her first thought is a very unprofessional “Whoa, she’s beautiful..!”

The thoughts of her soulmate written on Adriana were probably a very common phrase for people to have written on them, so she didn’t think too much of it, though it would likely have served as a nice confidence boost every now and then since she knows someone will find her beautiful no matter what.

On the other hand, when Luna was still a child, the thoughts of her soulmate written on her brought her hope that she would one day escape her upbringing (which was one of the aspects that Shade relied on to encourage her to run away and help her actually escape), and she would find solace with someone who accepted her for who she was. which she did!

It did however worry her a little bit once she had actually run away, since she knew it implied people would look for her. And that did indeed happen, but Adriana was the one who rescued her, multiple times, and she never left her behind.

Quantic Reboot Characters

Characters either new or heavily altered to save them from canon. The main last name follows the first name. A (+ LastName) following means it’s the mother’s maiden name, a (* LastName) means it’s the father’s surname but for some reason the kid didn’t take it. For the hyphened LastName–LastName format it’s in Father–Mother order unless the parents are a same-sex couple like Morgan’s moms. Nicknames are in italics following a bolded tilde ~, though not all nicknames listed are used by everyone / some are used just for teasing. Monikers assigned with only malicious intent via bullies are not listed as nicknames. 

All of Mari’s current classmates (included Lie-la) are still present, but they’re not part of the main squad anymore because they’ve isolated her.

(( Going for 12 boys and 12 girls in the main group of quanticharacters in Mari’s grade because I like groups of 12  ... I mean how can you not love groups of 12? They’re divisible by so many numbers! You can have groups of 2, 3, 4, or 6 with nobody left alone during projects!!! ))
