tbh im really not a fan of trying to keep old school scale-monster dinosaurs in things

i can appreciate, say, coming up with fictional creatures that are basically ‘old school movie dinosaurs but with different names’. I can certainly understand that no everyone wants to keep abreast with new developments in paleontology, since you will be outdated eventually.

 but ive noticed a kind of nostalgia for the visual of dinosaurs being scaled monsters that feels just similar enough to people constantly throwing a fit about ‘feathered dinosaurs are rUINING MY ChIlDhOoD!’

so its like something that personally makes me give a bit of a side eye and wonder if the person going on about that MIGHT be one of those people who constantly complains and moans about feathered theropods not being ‘badass enough’.

it doesn’t help that even now, the retrosaur image is SITLL the dominant one, and its actively hampering attempts to educate people and update the conventional image. there’s STILL an image of velociraptors as scaley, six-foot-tall killing machines rather than the fluffy small birdy things they were, and the pravelence of retrosaurs because of cultural inertia is a SERIOUS obstacle to what those animals really looked like.

Maybe androgynous if I can’t for some reason.i combined all your asks to try to get them answered in one go.  I’m gonna try to summarize your questions, let me know if i got them all.Weight loss, coming out after/before after hitting goal.  I can’t give good advice here because i’m the type to say “fuck the rest of the world, live the life you want”  Only you can tell yourself if your dysphoria is strong enough that you want to come out soon (even at your extra weight), or if you’re doing well enough coping with your dysphoria that it won’t be too much trauma to wait a year or so to lose the weight before coming out.  I know punk people who look like a lot of different things, which can mean many different weights.  (you can also check our weight loss tag)toning body- cardio and mild weight lifting will help.  Mix things up so you don’t get bored and your body doesn’t egt used to what you’re doing.  (swim, dance, bike, jog, whatever sounds fun).  It takes effort and weight to really build much muscle, so focusing mostly on cardio and using low weight to keep your muscles healthy, strong, but not trying purposely to bulk out will help there. slimming waist - Nothing you can wear will permanently change your waist in any major way, but with your planned weight loss and body toning goals, you should see some good changes regardless.  You could wear something like spanks in the meanwhile, but they’re just as uncomfortable as a binder is.  itching when you sweatLooking feminine while punk with short hair (mohawk) and no makeup (or maybe just some eyeliner)- you can try using specifically colorful eyeliner (pink, purple) and hair, to help tip the scales, similarly, using accessories like the woman symbol, feminized logos and symbols (skulls made out of flowers for example) can help people see you for who you are instead of being mistaken.   There’s a certain level of performative femininity (or masculinity) to dealing with society and attempting to “pass”, especially prior to HRT.  Anyone who wants to chime in on any of these topics, especially the punk topic, please do!mod mayhem

See you must be capable of using a lot of energy at the one time. It’s a sign that you have a good future in magick, If this is just because of readings I’d say you need to either learn to shield yourself (easy 1, 2, 3 process) because the spirits you use to read might be draining you of energy, or raise your vibrational level before you perform. :)

Anxiety Shakes it’s Truth out

Anxiety is a by-product of depression. 

It’s also a by-product of sublimated Truths. 

In psychology, sublimation is a mature type of defense mechanism where socially unacceptable impulses or idealizations are unconsciously transformed into socially acceptable actions or behavior - Cit. 

What this means is, while your Truth is screaming to come out, you sublimate this into something else, something more socially acceptable, something less True. 

I sublimated a lot of things. For a long time. Once I had a grip on the depression ( here I have to credit my Varsity psychologist for taking the brunt of my breakdowns for a solid year, and myself for having the courage to go back after my first psychologist experience), I developed a new form of expression. 

I was constantly anxious. Everything which might happen, was a burden on my back, I literally felt weights in my chest, panic attacks were more common than still moments, and I must have immunized myself to OTC anti-anxiety drugs before I was eventually forced to see a doctor. (Varisty doctors are great, and free, and I would definitely recommend using one if you are feeling like you’re standing on the edge.)

I was put onto a series of anti-depressive/ anti-anxiety medication. The funny thing is, the process of correctly medicating a mental illness is more anxiety evoking than the sickness itself! It’s a guessing game, playing tetris with chemicals and your body, hoping something fits into place and you can finally win. 

I did, eventually, though I think I won because I found a better game to play.. but that’s a Truth for later on. 

It was awful, the sleepless nights, the constant effort to breathe. I remember one particularly bad week, my roomate and best friend had gone home to see her boyfriend (whom I particularly didn’t like) and in her absence I managed to work myself into such a state I hadn’t slept in two days and I could not stop crying. 

She had to come back with a stolen sleeping pill from her moms cabinet, she wasn’t very happy. Neither was I. 

I realized, only long after this, how co-dependant i’d become, how instead of trusting my Truth to get me through, I was crutching on other people, and every time they moved i’d fall down and break something. 

It’s an awful cycle to be in. 

It took years to be able to face my Truth, and step out of the cycle. 

Yes, now  I am totally medication free and I very rarely suffer with severe anxiety.

Truths can change, anxiety shook the Truth out of me.

I haven't done any spells yet because I'm still learning and I don't want to do anything wrong, but I do reading and I talk to sprit guides and ask questions, having my guides get in contact with the spirit guides to people who are close to me and..

All I see spells are a witches way of focusing their intent and will on the subject of their discretion, personally I don’t really use spells too much so I know where you’re coming from, if you want a spell to be guided in white light intent, the simple phrase “ An ye harm none, do as thou wilt ” (and it harm none), or a variation of the concept to the end of any of your spells acts as a protecting stopper, this basically stops any unwanted mishaps from happening since you’re clear-cut about not wishing to cause harm.
