i've seen some joking takes on the possibility of Hunter the Parenting being some kind of stealth prequel to Warhammer 40k and at the risk of sounding a bit like a killjoy (but I'm an old WoD fan, its sort of expected probably), I have to say that if you're actually serious about that, I have to say that if you go to the mental brain-break of trying to combine the respective and almost completely incompatible metaphysics/cosmology of all the different WoD gameline, the circumstances of Warhammer 40k happening within WoD is categorically impossible
a few reasons why:
What to know the weirdest thing? The absolute weirdest bit of WoD lore? Okay, get ready for it; space, as we know it, does not technically have an objective reality within the context of WoD. The planets are generally depicted as being spirit realms in their own right. Alien life does not exist, except as weird spirits probably born from ideas until they achieve a retroactive existence. This is related to the fact that science is not an objective facet of reality, but a specific magical paradigm enforced by the Technocracy, the assumed default antagonists of the Mage line, and that includes planets, which technically only exist in a scientific context because people think it does. (If enough people sincerely 'knew' that the planets are crystal spheres pushed by angels, that would retroactively become reality.) So that essentially means that a lot of Warhammer's basic physics, goofy and over the top as they are, can't really exist in the setting in an objective sense. (In theory you COULD, if you got all humanity to believe there's orks and elves in space, but in practice that would be a lot of work without much to show for it, and again, in 40k they just exist. Humanity's opinion on them is irrelevant. In WoD, Earth is the only functional planet for all intents and purposes.)
The Warp is... not exactly the same thing as the Umbra, or the spirit world. In fact, there's several aspects of the Warp (it as a realm of ideas and dreams/nightmares, where faith takes on a form, and so on) that are similar to aspects of the Umbra, but not in the same precise region, and a lot of them have their own existence independent from anyone's belief. Mortal life is, paradoxically, both a largely irrelevant aspect of existence to spirits and the source of what we think of as reality, but that means that not only do equivalents to the Chaos Gods not exist, they probably wouldn't be able to materialize in the 40k way. The Triat, the cosmic forces of the Wyrm and Wyld and Weaver, MIGHT be assumed to be equivalent, but no; they're bigger than the Chaos gods, and sort of in a 'thrashing cosmic force that can be read as not actually being sapient'. That last point is a bit foggy to be honest, since the Wyrm is often described as being driven mad and THAT'S why the force of balance has become malicious corruption, but they are often implied to be cosmic forces that do not and CANNOT make moral choices, but simply do what is in their nature. Tzeentch may make schemes, but he is still shaped by forces and making his decisions, in his own way; the Weaver does not, and when she strives to define all reality into absolute stasis, it is simpler her doing what she IS. But anyway the point is that the Umbra isn't really analogous to the Warp, and its the closest thing in the setting. 3. A lot of 40k's aspects are integral, inalterable parts of the setting that have their own objective reality; psykers exist and pull power from the Warp. WoD is not like this, it is weird and chaotic and a mash up of cosmologies that make no sense in full context, half the time things only exist because people think they do and at the exact same time half the spirits and spirit realms we see are KIND OF like mythologies but also not. Everything is weird and full of secrets and also the world was supposed to have been destroyed several years before the events of WoD, but a big part of the setting is that everyone is facing down one apocalypse or another. 4. If you do obvious magic that people think isn't possible (in terms of what the local paradigm concludes is impossible; time travel machines have the same effect even in places where science is a dominant paradigm because EVERYONE KNOWS TIME TRAVEL ISNT POSSIBLE), you tend to explode. Or get retconned out of reality. Not in the same way as demons being drawn by psykers, but... look, its called Paradox and it gets weird, and reality doesn't like getting bent out of shape. This also means that the kind of impossible feats and blasting attacks typical for 40k Psykers would be EVEN MORE DESTRUCTIVE to them, personally. So the kinds of thing the Emperor is known to do isn't something that could generally happen in the setting of WoD.

"Was that... was that entity back there a personification of desire?!"
"Yes. Does something about it trouble you?"
"...I think so. It was so... grotesque. Horrible, and hard to look at. My stomach hurts just thinking about it?"
"This surprises you. Is it really so strange that desire isn't seductive or appealing?"
"Why isn't that strange?"
"Well, think on it. Of course desire is grotesque. Of course desire is an ugly thing, raw and animalistic. The feelings of desire are sensations that pull and claw at you without conscious intent; its things you want, all animal impulse and sensation, without moral thought or future planning involved. Of course, it makes sense. Desire is an ugly thing, so very, very hideous. There is no good desire, as there is no bad desire. It simply is. It's things you want, and the things we want are so often different from the part of ourselves we want to exalt."
"That's a very cynical way of looking at things."
"Is it? Oh now, I don't think of it as cynical, or even grim. For something to be ugly, hideous or frightening doesn't mean its bad, or that its a value judgement. People want to divide the things they want into good desires and bad ones, and pretend they don't really want the bad things at all. It must be the influence of other things, they say, or demons invading your mind. But it takes some wisdom to accept it for what it is, without having to put a beautiful face on it. To face it without judging yourself. And that is why desire must be hideous; because for something to exist without having to make itself seem lovely but to be itself, whole and gruesome, is to accept it for what it is."
"...Are you implying beauty is a lie?"
"I imply only that aesthetics are a constructed thing. And all too often, beauty is not about what is actually lovely, but a lack of things we think are unpleasant. Beauty standards are, I think, about holding people to a mirror and cutting away what you think doesn't belong there. A terrible thing, I might say. Wouldn't it be better to simply accept that a thing is itself, whole and not needing to be carved into a shape just because we learn that's how things are 'supposed' to be?"

I was looking at some of my older posts and noticed someone complaining that I could have tagged it as an anti Azula post and it got me to thinking about the specific attitudes I've seen from that part of the ATLA fandom, and I've also thought that a lot of them are spending a lot of time and energy imagining Azula as something she very specifically is not (that is, imagining her as a tragic heroine of her own story when she's really quite happy to be on top of everything and is very much a model Fire Nation conqueror)
But much like the part of the fandom that reinterprets Zuko as a soft boy who is a suave and tender ladies' man, you get these people viewing Azula as a heroic or morally neutral figure rather than an antagonist and villain, and one based around that concept, and without a whole lot going on for her BESIDES that
but I've noticed they've gotten so wrapped up in their fanon and fixation on Azula to the point of regarding every other character as victimizing her or contributing to her problems by not martyring themselves for her benefit (for example, the people who seem to think that because Iroh didn't kidnap Azula and get her banished too and then spend the next few years anti-brainwashing her, he was bad), they interpret just stating the facts about her character as hating her
so I'm starting to consider that maybe they think just outright stating her on-screen actions, with no implicit judgement, still counts as Azula hate and that's a pretty clear sign of being so wrapped up in fanon you forgot what the actual's role in the story is

implying that Aang is too young to date Katara by comparing him to a real life boy might be the funniest shit kataang antis try to argue cuz wtf lol. he isn’t real. he’s a fucking cartoon character. a cartoon character that can end a genocidal war and control the 4 elements at will via martial arts. he’s also a literal demigod that has lived thousands of years
like trying to compare Aang to your average middle schooler is wild cuz Aang is not a middle schooler, he’s a goddamn Buddhist monk who has traveled the whole world and knows, does, says and thinks shit that rival even the oldest characters in said show. he is a reincarnated ancient spirit that exists to protect the entire world from devastation. he is in no way similar to some random 6th grader

a death note style artifact of doom which will definitely kill anyone whose name is written into it, completely bypassing all protections and magical safeguards in a setting which otherwise relies heavily on loopholes to counteract such attacks, rendering this the most potentially deadly artifact of all
but its still functionally useless because in THIS setting your true name is NOT your legal name, nor is it the name you go by, and its not even what your closest friends call you, your true name is a complex assortment of syllables spoken in the ancient language of the first beings to learn magic and sear its principles into reality, and these names are developed over life times and act as a summary of your entire life's deeds and your culmative weight on the universe, distilling your life into a single name
and no one has learned to speak this language in eons, its completely unknown
so here's the plot hook; this magical relic has fallen into the hands of a person with the power to instantly know any language from reading it, and has previously made a happy living as a translator, but now is on the run from malicious powers that want to use them to kill their enemies, whom are all allies of the main characters or important power players who, whether good or evil or neutral, will cause massive disaster to erupt if they are suddenly killed all at once, and the protagonists must rescue the translator
an additional complication arises when a group of antagonists (generally a more edgy band of rivals) decide the simplest solution is to just kill the poor translator. Besides being immoral and cruel, they don't realize its also doomed to failure, as the translator is magically powerful enough that their magic will not die with them, but erupt and imprint it into others, thus potentially granting more people the power to use it
thus the protagonists must rescue both artifact and translator before either can be forced to kill. Additionally, they must make a choice to destroy the artifact or not; destroying it is a difficult proposition because it is a creation of a much older era of sophisticated magics, and studying it could yield a fresh understanding of the principles such powers once commanded, giving them a newfound ability to create a higher order of magical artifacts that has existed in eons
but just destroying it is also difficult, as these magical artifacts are incredibly resilient and often can only be undone in very specific situations, and to figure THAT out the characters must travel to a distant stronghold which still contains an ancient scroll that holds the knowledge of how to do it, while people will be gunning for them every step of the way, and if the wrong people get ahold of it again, a lot of people will be super duper FUCKED

i recently saw a post about a recent Captain America comic with him confronting the revival of Nazi rhetoric, hatred and all that in the modern day and him essentially daring the people to throw hands with him (in the style of Jack Kirby) but unfortunately the notes were an absolute MESS, which can be detailed as the following:
people telling the OP that it was a bad time to share it. Now, the panels are ONLY about Captain America seeing fascist graffiti and thinking 'LETS FUCKING GO BOOTLICKERS', and based on how those commenters kept bringing up Israel, its pretty clear WHY they thought it shouldn't shared now. And that was horrifying when I worked it out, because these people were all but admitting that you SHOULD be supporting Nazi rhetoric to oppose Israel and I thought... "WHAT THE LITERAL FUCK." It is a cold, horrible day when you realize that not only do these people EXPLICITLY conflate the modern state of Israel with the entirety of the Jewish diaspora, they all but state they'd be perfectly happy to hold hands with the literal Nazis
there was a lot of criticism of Chris Evans. Now, this was a modern Marvel comic; it was NOT based in the MCU at all. This was the mainstream Marvel continuity, completely unrelated to Evans' portrayal of the character, and yet most of the comments were complaining about Evans and criticizing him; the possibility of this character existing OUTSIDE a portrayal by one specific actor despite having been around for nearly a hundred years apparently didn't occur to these people, and it wasn't relevant to them. This kind of illustrates a point about these kind of commenters that annoys me, and I think it could be boiled down to 'they don't think anything exists unless they see it in a Hot New Movie'. Comics have been around for a REALLY long time but these people compeltely were oblivious to it until they were adapted into blockbusters, and now act like they ONLY exist in the context of the movies

for a long time I've been unable to understand what the heck the whole reason people even liked vampires at all or assumed that sexiness was a central aspect of vampires at all, and i leaned WAY harder on 'vampires are metaphors for aristocracy that literally eat the poor' or 'vampires are ravenous undead monsters and the ones that aren't are anamolous' but i think this post put into context how your specific framing of vampires can REALLY WORK in a broader context?
it also made me go 'oh' in a similar way, it helps me really understand the whole idea, kind of like how one time i was discussing different ways to handle werebeasts with a friend and when the possibility of them just being what they are but societal normalization makes it harder and they feel about about rampaging when they get too stressed to handle it all but nothing is wrong with them, people just make it harder than it has to be, and that hit so many buttons for me personally it made me realize 'werebeast as autism spectrum applicability'
vampirism poses the question "what if there was a fundamental, horrible, unending well of want in your soul that, if truly satisfied, would lead to great pain for all those you hold closest and, in turn, their absolute and total revilement of you?" and naturally as a person with no problems I don't relate to this in any way at all.
