I also didn't want to get too far into ship wars, so some posts may have been excluded because of that. Eris Week '24 Day 7: Free Day

Azriel, Eris, Lucien, and Elain haven't been able to stop thinking about their initiations. What they experienced, and what they missed out on. Deep within the rules of the Vanserra initiation, there may just be a way to experience it all...

It's FERAL FREE DAY here to close out @erisweekofficial. Make sure you've read the first two installments of the "To Become A Vanserra" installment in order before starting this newest piece. If you're caught up, read a snippet below or the full fic on AO3.

My Dearest Friend, I do hope this letter finds the newest Mr. Vanserra well, and that your ceremony was as enjoyable as mine was for me. Hopefully, my letters helped prepare you for your own initiation into this little family. The reason I am writing to you today may seem quite unorthodox, to say the least. I wanted to apologize again for my abrupt departure from tea that day in the garden and give an explanation. You see, my initiation was quite an awakening for me. Please forgive me for being crass. I believe over the years we have become close enough that I can divulge the intimate particulars of my experiences.  As Lucien’s mate, the youngest of the Vanserra's, my initiation involved engaging in intimate relations with his father and each of his eldest siblings, including your mate. How is Eris, by the way? I hope I do not offend when I say that our coupling was one of my favorites, as Eris insinuated during tea. I fear my reaction was such that my arousal was quite noticeable to all in attendance. I do apologize if that made you uncomfortable.  But I would like to be so bold as to inquire about your feelings on the matter of Eris and me engaging in those activities again - with your and Lucien’s consent, of course. There are things I need, things I crave, things I hope to experience again. My deepest apologies if I have gone too far. Our friendship means more to me than this request. My mutual told me to post something interesting so we here we go.

Beron/Tamlin/Elain.

Tamlin and Beron meet for diplomatic reasons aka Beron is planning to siege Spring and Tamlin’s caught onto his plans.

Elain is desperate for her mortal life back, but knows she can’t have it. She settles on finding power where she knows she’ll find it.

Goes to Autumn, demands to speak to Beron. She gets an audience with Beron and Tamlin.

Beron is about to cast her aside because what would the flower girl know about power.

Tamlin wants to hear her out.

Elain tells her tragic tale, she wants to find control and power over herself and the people who have wronged her then put her in the box of being the ‘empty headed flower girl who will just end up someone’s wife.’

Tamlin resonates with her story. He was a younger sibling only regarded as the spare son who his father tried to use for a marital alliance with Amarantha, obviously he refused.

Tamlin agrees to work with Elain. Now Beron wants in after he hears about Elain’s seering powers and how she’s been secretly learning to control them.

Anyway, plot plot plot etc etc, Elain Tam and Beron take over Hybern, they fuck on Hybern’s throne. Elain meets with Vallahan’s Court and gets them to agree to an alliance after promising to seer for them (she never said she had to be truthful in what she told them she saw in her visions so yay loophole Vallahn is now under their thumb)

Yada yada yada, they fuck in the Spring manor on the throne. Lucien catches them, yada yada yada screaming fighting, broken bonds and angst.

Tamlin’s runs after Lucien, they fight, Tamlin convinces Lucien he deserves to take back power too. Eventually convincing Lucien to the dark side.

Blah blah blah Lucien uses his lineage in Day to kill Helion and take over the Court, they siege Winter and Dawn. By now Tamlin has convinced Tarquin he also deserves to take back power now Summer is on their side.

Blah blah blah, they walk dramatic style into the Night Court. Lucien, Vassa and Jurian burn Velaris to the ground. Rhysand is executed, the IC is imprisoned. Beron, Elain and Tamlin fuck on the Night Courts throne.

The end, I just made this up, so sorry if none of it makes any sense.

okay second and Last post about elaingate ever because i truly do not gaf but the people being offended at the clownery are being a little silly because it IS a little funny. like if the allegations that the admins were not making a masterlist is true, then no one would have known if tamlain or berlain art was made in the first place? like they could have just chosen to not reblog anything made under the tag 😭

Really incredible to see the Eluciens freaking out over Elain week rules despite the fact that 0.01% of them actually ship Tamlain or Berlain. How many people who do were even going to participate? The week hasn't even started and suddenly it's turned into this big debate over characters that have nothing to do with Elain, or it's about Lucien etc., proving yet again that Eluciens care about every character BUT Elain.

Creator Highlight - Week 13

Welcome to our Creator Highlight Week 13! And thanks for understand while we took a brief hiatus!

Every week, we’ll use this space to recognize the amazing individuals in our fandom who kindly use so much of their free time and creative energy to share their work with us and bring our imaginations to life via writing, art, visuals, and many other creative mediums. 

This week we want to highlight @acourtofladydeath, a massively talented creator for fic within the fandom, especially for poly and multi-ships! Her stories are imaginative, intriguing, creative, and absolutely stunning–they’ll keep you hooked and hoping for more when you’re done! She has a gift for managing to have the characters all in brand new situations while also keeping their personalities from canon so spot-on that you just can’t get enough.

Another year, another shit show of Elain week. I'm sure you've been seen Elaingate go down and I know how much you love Elain. I'm so ready for SJM to drop a book and confirm Elucien because this is absolutely out of line. I can't wait for a year we can appreciate her character without Elriels gatekeeping her. For year's El/riels have implied Elucien's are wrong for shipping Elain A FICTIONAL CHARACTER IN A FATED MATES SERIES, so let's not pretend their shady AF response to clarifying their rules was not aimed at Eluciens. We are all adults here, are we not? The likelihood of Tamlin stans participating was low, but they know this, it's straight up manipulation on their end. They say, host your own week. Elucien's did and guess what the admins were harassed and bullied. The mods of Elain week are biased 100% and know they have never been welcoming, they only follow Elriel month, Azriel week, also hosted by Elriels, they repost/share Elain artwork that is Azriel coded, even though it is canon she never kept that necklace, that through the use of SYMBOLISM, black is not a color representative of her character, this is just another week/excuse for them to make more Elriel content and they know it, let's see how much they love Elain when SJM writes her choosing Lucien. At least by them her real stans can celebrate her without drama and Elriels projecting their purity/tradwife agenda. They loveeee to preach no drama but are the cause of it and to be honest, I'm so glad more and more of the fandom is seeing it and pushing back. You can't gatekeep a FICTIONAL CHARACTER.

That's just it. Now they're claiming Elucien's are welcome in Elain week. How it's Elucien's fault they've rarely participated in Elain's week before now this year they want to make a fuss. But for years they've been calling Elucien's abuse apologists so yeah, people are feeling a little triggered by the wording they used regarding Lucien and putting rules on acceptable ships and yeah, there's a reason people have been hesitant to participate. That's the exact reason I didn't really engage last couple of years because I KNOW they don't want an Elucien there. I know it always turns into E/riel Week after they already had E/riel month. For years they've been telling Elucien's we don't care for Elain yet suddenly this week they're an equal opportunity shipper and we're welcome? Suddenly it's not us but other ships that aren't welcome since now THOSE are the ones who don't truly like Elain? The real controversy doesn't lie in just Tamlain and Berlain, it's that it's yet another thing for them to use to steer the week to look exactly as they want it to which is to say E/riel, Elain and the twins, Elain as HL of Dusk. They don't want Elain interacting with Jurian and Vassa or Elain having any conversations with Tamlin because that means she might be in Spring with Lucien, or Elain ending up with anyone unless there's the possibility of it being a canon ship which is not the point of shipping? There should not be rules as to who you ship especially when the guy they prefer her with is the farthest thing from a saint. Just because he didn't accidentally explode a room with Elain in it (yet) doesn't mean he's healthy when it comes to how he acts with her. He in canon has just as bad of a temper as Tamlin so who is anyone to be pointing fingers?
