penelope featherington would’ve slayed so hard as a character if she went for the men of the ton as an anonymous gossip sheet. LIKE full anonymity and that kind of influence as a woman..just to regurgitate what the average member of the ton is already itching to say about young girls who can’t defend themself? like all the mystery and allure of the column just to humiliate and ruin WOMEN using the established rules of the PATRIARCHY?? WHATS even the point then?! countess boochie flagrant ass character

Thinking about a moment from WhataBarbpod where they question how often is Colin in the Featherington household and now all I can think about is an AU where Colin realizes he’s in love with Penelope much earlier, but Pen isn’t out to society yet but he still wants to see her so they claim to just be friends so that he can get away with seeing her more and I NEED THIS NOW

I want Benedict to discover his Baby sister playing in a High Stakes poker game.
He cannot tear her away.
She's winning
Realising she's besting some of the best poker players in the Ton, Benedict merely ups the stakes and sits back and watches his baby sister thrash all of her opponents and reaps the benefits of the slice of betting he backed her with.

Propaganda:
Charlotte: The absolute best horror game of all time hands down. She is the queen of naiveté and dissociating through the horrors. Her world is so fucked up and she's surrounded by tragedy and she responds by filling her mind with fog so she doesn't notice the world falling apart and the hatred of every human around her. She's the host for a parasite god that's far to vast for her human body, and it spills out of herself as ink and eyes and flesh. When she dies in-game she doesn't respawn, her soul is extracted and loaded into a new vessel, and she has to look at the piles of her own corpses from all her deaths. It doesn't bother her.

The hate towards edwina sharma is so...???
Everything she did, the way she acted, the way she reacted was justified. y'all just hate that she was in the way of your ship. she didn't intentionally come in between kanthony. she was dragged. by kate and anthony themselves.
i'm still in awe of charithra's flawless performance as edwina. hate that she won't be in s4.
ps: I HOPE SHE WINS THAT EMMY. SHE DESERVES EVERYTHING!!!

I’m sorry I don’t know how anyone can like Penelope after all that she did to Marina and Eloise and the fact she’s Lady Whistledown 🤷♀️

❛ i’m trying to fix your hair, so hold still. ❜ (inej uwu)
ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ—ㅤDIALOGUE ( accepting! )
Inej hardly touches her or, at least, it feels as though she hardly touches her. She is more shadow than woman sometimes, but perhaps she means to be so. Kate can find little fault in that. The attention falls upon her every time she enters a room thanks in large part to her title; once it had been her connection to the diamond of the season, and now her connection by marriage. She has no way of slipping into dark corners and managing nonexistence even if she wished for it.
Kate is forced to bend her knees for Inej’s reach. It is far from well - mannered; she swears she can feel the disdain around her grow just that heavier from such a simple act. Kate smiles at Inej anyway. ❝ You are too kind, ❞ she says. Inej’s fingers are gentle where they fuss at the viscountess’ temple; she wears a clutch of lilies threaded there where Anthony had earlier tucked them for her. She can feel his eyes on her, too, across the grand hall. That makes her feel much calmer.
❝ Are you having a pleasant time, Miss Ghafa? ❞ Kate is not the hostess of this ball, but her query comes from genuine interest rather than imposed social niceties. When next the viscountess lifts her gaze to sweep the room, another set of eyes catches hers. His are dark and cruel, and his brooding presence across the floor reminds her of her faux pas. Kate straightens to smile down at @icaryan apologetically. ❝ Lady Rietveld, ❞ she corrects. ❝ Your Lord Rietveld covets your attention rather jealously, does he not? Shall we make a spectacle for him and dance the next waltz together? ❞

To understand the fascinating complexities of Bern's mind, let me tell you what I bought at the bookstore today:
A Christmas Carol, first edition reproduction
Dead Souls by Gogol
Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy
The Duke Undone by Joanna Lowell
So two classics of vastly different types, one western ft some genuinely horrific topics, and a victorian era romance novel
