What Are The Benefits Of Guest Posting In Digital Marketing?
If you want to make your business more popular, climb up on search engines, and reach your targeted audience effectively, guest posting may help you. There are a number of benefits that guest posting provides to your business. It is like sharing your services and expertise on other companies’ websites. In order to generate organic traffic and attract the targeted audience to your website, you have to work on guest posting.
What is a guest posting?
Guest posting is the process of writing an article or blog that you post on somebody else's website or social media handle to get good quality and relevant backlink support. A guest post must be informative about your brand and services to increase awareness about your service and make you an industry expert to increase website traffic. Guest blogging helps you gain traffic, get your audience's attention, and boost your SEO ranking cost-effectively.
Tumblr media
Here are some more benefits that we have defined below, have an eye on them:
• Enhance Brand Awareness
Guest posting is a great way to enhance product or brand awareness and bloom differently among your competitors. A guest post may include every little information and fact about services or products. Also, it helps to provide more clarity to the audience about the businesses, services, and products you own. Guest posting also helps to solve problems by creating posts accordingly.
• Boost Social Media Shares
All big or small businesses want to expand their online reach. One of the most reasonable ways to do so is by generating social media shares. The more a guest post is shared, the more value and reach it will get in the audience's attention. Include the infographics in guest posts to make them highly valuable and presentable.
• Build Quality and Natural Backlinks
Search engines prioritize your website's quality and quantity of backlinks while deciding its ranking. Guest posting services in USA provide an extra benefit, where you can easily create and obtain natural backlinks that represent high-quality references to brands and services you own. Many guest posting sites allow users to include at least one link back to their website.
• Make your online presence strong
Guest posting is one of the most effective ways of boosting your brand and gaining people's trust. When your content is visible on other websites, then your customers will know that you are an expert in that service. An important thing to remember is if you make any promise or claim anything in your post, you must always complete that.
• Grow your Social Media Following
The best guest posting services not only boost your social media shares or reach, but they can also increase an individual's social media followers, as we are aware that social media shares also increase the audience for the business. An attractive guest post can make a good impression on your audience. The growing following also means you have started bringing new customers over time.

Ghost King Danny Ao3 Statistics
Just like the title states, this post intends to cover everything there is to know about Ghost King Danny fics for the DPxDC crossover on Ao3! Understandably, this is a very long post and there are a lot of numbers involved, so you may want to be prepared!
Did You Know?
There are a total of 1,334 Ghost King Danny Fenton fics found on Ao3. Of that figure, DPxDC makes up 697 fics- a whopping 52.25% of all fics under the "Ghost King Danny Fenton" tag. Danny Phantom, one of the parent fandoms for this crossover, have a total of 439 fics, which amounts to 32.91% of this tag.
But that's just the broader overview of the Ghost King trope for the crossover. Looking deeper reveals more interesting details about this concept and the authors' preferences.
Before we begin, it would be remiss of me not to include a disclaimer about this information. You are otherwise free to ignore this list, but for those of you who are interested on where or how I gathered this data, I thought it would be appropriate to be as open as possible.
Disclaimer
These numbers were gathered through manual labor on the site, Archive of Our Own.
These numbers were compiled in one day- September 12th, 2023, and as such, may not reflect the statistics on Ao3 in, for example, one month from now.
IMPORTANT TO NOTE: These figures only include fics that have been explicitly tagged as Ghost King Danny. While some stories not included in these statistics may have hints towards his royal status, a good rule of thumb is to never assume the trope will be included in a fic until given reason to. The best way to do that is when the author properly tags "Ghost King Danny Fenton" on their work.
These numbers do not include any other crossovers, nor three-way crossovers. Ex: A Danny Phantom, DC, Miraculous Ladybug crossover. This is not to put down these other crossovers in any way, shape or form, but to show a clear, concise overview of the DPxDC community on Ao3.
Fun Fact!: As I gathered the data, I had to manually remove an incredible 57 fandoms and media from the Ghost King Danny tag in order to compile this list. [*] There are countless of other crossovers still going strong to this day, and while this post may not be about them, they deserve a round of applause as well!
No Languages were excluded from these figures.
This list included fics that are not open to guest readers (fics that must be read while you are signed in with your account).
For some of these statistics, please keep in mind that there can be an overlap. For example: Under the Fandom and Character Filters.
As a general reminder, while I took great pains to clean this information as thoroughly as possible, human error is still possible.
[*]: Curious about what that looks like? Here's a screenshot:
Tumblr media
These are just 7 of the 57 fandoms I had to remove. I would offer you more, but then we would be scrolling even longer.
However, let's move onto the statistics portion.
Please keep in mind: During this process, I used the 697 figure stated at the beginning of this post to calculate the percentages of each category.
Ratings
The number and percentages of each rating- from greatest to least- are as follows:
Teen - 320; 45.91%
Gen - 159; 22.81
Not Rated - 129; 18.51%
Mature - 75; 10.76%
Explicit - 14; 2.01%
Warnings
The number and percentages of each rating- from greatest to least- are as follows:
No Archive Warnings Apply - 276; 39.6%
Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings - 270; 38.74%
Graphic Depictions of Violence - 149; 21.38%
Major Character Death (MCD) - 82; 11.76%
Rape/Non-Con - 5; 0.72% [^]
Underage - 2; 0.29% [^]
[^]: Your eyes are not deceiving you, these fics do not make up even a full percent.
Categories
The number and percentages of each rating- from greatest to least- are as follows:
Gen - 284; 40.75%
M/M - 158; 22.67%
F/M - 63; 9.04%
Multi - 44; 6.31% [#]
Other - 29; 4.16%
F/F - 18; 2.58%
[#]: What does the category "Multi" mean? "Multi" in Ao3 means that there are more than relationship dynamic found in the story. For example, a work features both a M/M and a F/F ship.
Confused about why the numbers don't add up to 100%? Not all authors choose to mark the category of their work since it is not a required selection in Ao3.
Fandoms
The number and percentages of each rating- from greatest to least- are as follows:
Batman - All Media Types - 533; 76.47%
DCU - 173; 24.82%
Justice League - All Media Types - 164; 23.53%
DCU (Comics) - 52; 7.46%
Young Justice (Cartoon) - 24; 3.44%
Shazam! | Captain Marvel (Comics) - 17; 2.44%
Superman - All Media Types - 16; 2.3%
Young Justice - All Media Types - 16; 2.3%
DC Extended Universe - 14; 2.01%
Confused about why these numbers add up to more than 100%? As stated in #8 of Disclaimers, many stories may include two or more of these fandoms.
Characters
The number and percentages of each rating- from greatest to least- are as follows:
Danny Fenton - 664; 95.27%
Bruce Wayne - 433; 62.12%
Jason Todd - 396; 56.81%
Dick Grayson - 297; 42.61%
Tim Drake - 294; 42.18%
Damian Wayne - 287; 41.18%
Jazz Fenton - 215; 30.85%
John Constantine - 176; 25.25%
Tucker Foley - 169; 24.25%
Sam Manson - 167; 23.96%
Relationships
The number and percentages of each rating- from greatest to least- are as follows:
Danny Fenton & Jason Todd - 142; 20.37%
Danny Fenton & Bruce Wayne - 102; 14.63%
Danny Fenton & Damian Wayne - 95; 13.63%
Batfamily Members & Danny Fenton - 92; 13.2%
Danny Fenton & Jazz Fenton - 82; 11.76%
Danny Fenton/Jason Todd - 67; 9.61%
Tim Drake & Danny Fenton - 64; 9.18%
Danny Fenton & Tucker Foley & Sam Manson - 58; 8.32%
Danny Fenton & Dick Grayson - 57; 8.18%
Tim Drake/Danny Fenton - 43; 6.17%
Additional Tags
The number and percentages of each rating- from greatest to least- are as follows:
Not Beta Read - 176; 25.25%
Not Phantom Planet Compliant (Danny Phantom) - 145; 20.8%
Danny Fenton Needs a Hug - 104; 14.92%
Bad Parents Jack and Maddie Fenton - 91; 13.06% [!]
Hurt/Comfort - 87; 12.48%
Eldritch Danny Fenton - 87; 12.48%
Other Additional Tags To Be Added - 85; 12.2%
BAMF Danny Fenton - 76; 10.9%
Danny Fenton is a Little Shit - 66; 9.47%
[!]: At this time there appears to be no consensus on what tag to use to describe the Fenton parents. Although "Bad Parents Jack and Maddie Fenton" appears to be the most common, some other tags include:
Jack and Maddie's A+ Parenting
Fenton Parents' A+ Parenting
Jack and Maddy's D- Parenting (This was how the author spelled the tag)
The Fentons' A+ Parenting
The Fenton Parents Are Bad but not evil
Danny Fenton's Parents Bashing
Key Takeaways
To wrap up this entire post, let's look at some at some important or intriguing details we've gleaned from these statistics.
Most stories with this tag are Rated Teen.
Similarly, most stories do not have applicable Archive Warnings.
Gen fics, or stories without romance, make up the most Ghost King Danny fics for the crossover.
Batman - All Media Types sweeps up the competition and can be found in most crossovers.
This may be surprising to some, but Bruce Wayne appears in more crossovers under the Ghost King banner than any of his children.
More people have written about Danny Fenton & Jason Todd in a platonic relationship than a romantic one.
There have been arguments that depictions of Jack and Maddie as bad parents are everywhere in the crossover. Numbers show, however, that for the Ghost King Danny Fenton tag it is very unlikely. Even if there were a hundred more fics that use one of the alternate tags, that would still only be 27.4%. That's little over 1/4 of all Ghost King DPxDC fics. Now, 1/4 might sound like a lot, but when you consider that there are 3/4 of other stories that do not include this concept, or the Fenton parents' skills are irrelevant to the story told, that's not actually as many as it would seem.
---
For more information about these statistics, or the work that went into gathering this info, feel free to ask!
But I hope you all learned something new with this foray of mine. I know I learned a lot about the DPxDC community too. Thank you for reading.

I've been meaning to make a list of spooky (Thai - because negl that's 99% of what I watch) BL series and movies and what better time to post this than in October?
Spooky BL are my favourite flavour of BL. Turns out, there's actually a lot of them (maybe because Thailand does horror so well). These are only the ones I've watched (and enjoyed) so this list isn't complete.
*On another note: horror doesn't faze me at all so I can't really accurately say how scary some of these are. If you have squicks or triggers like jump scares, gore or bad endings please feel free to ask and I will do my best to give you a heads-up.
✨Spooky Thai BL✨
He's Coming To Me | Probably one of the first series everyone will think of. Not that spooky but a solid ghost(love) story with a murder mystery at its core.
Hidden Love | This is a budget show filmed under serious constraints during the worst of the covid pandemic. It's clichéd. It's over the top. But it's also got its charms. It comes with a tragic ghost (love) story that completely overshadows everything else with its many flashbacks and plot twists. If you manage to get over the camp. I warned you.
Tumblr media
Dear Doctor I'm Coming For Soul | This one has reapers and ghosts and lots of bittersweetness. It's not that creepy since the supernatural elements are very matter-of-fact. It will make you cry though, sorry. :(
Tumblr media
Ghost Host, Ghost House | Spooky with incredible chemistry between the leads and a cast of characters that you will immediately fall in love with.
He She It | A three-episode miniseries with a haunting soundtrack and a nice plot twist. This will make you miss JeffGameplay. :(
Tumblr media
Low Frequency | Not spooky at all, and a bit slow and empty at times, but it has ghosts (in a way) and a sweet enough couple.
Tumblr media
Make a Wish | Unfortunately, this has never had an inter release. There's inofficial subs floating around on grey sites but as of yet the series hasn't been fully translated. Which is a pity because it's a cute show about angels and spirit possession and (some) murder mystery.
Tumblr media
Midnight Museum | I'm stubbornly putting this under BL. This show has everything and everyone. It's genuinely spooky at times but mostly draws on folklore, the mystical and an absolutely stellar cast.
On Cloud Nine | Short and beautiful. An indie production that's more ethereal than genuinely spooky.
🎞️Red Wine in the Dark Night | The oldest entry in this list. Admittedly, not very spooky (and instead rather surreal and sad), but it has one (1) vampire and Fluke Natouch in a role that's more grounded than we're used to nowadays.
Tumblr media
Something in my Room | A spooky show with ghosts, mystery and romance that hides a lot of commentary behind metaphors and allegory. Criminally underrated because it didn't have a wide enough release. If you want to binge something fun and spooky for Halloween then this is the series to go. Prepare tissues.
✨Not a BL but hey, I know that actor!✨
Enigma | Win Metawin (and surprise guest!) in an incredibly well done 4-episode series about the occult with interesting worldbuilding and the promise of a second season.
🎞️Ghost Lab | Tor Thanapob and Ice Paris in a genuinely gruesome, shocking and scary horror movie. You've been warned.
Girl From Nowhere | One of the best things tv has to offer, and genuinely dark as well. Up Poompat, Pepo Nutchapan and James Teeradon feature in some of the loosely-connected episodes.
🎞️Hoon Payon | Phuwin Tangsakyuen, Up Poompat and Bank Nuttawat in a classic spiritual ghost story. More shocking than scary.
🎞️Inhuman Kiss | Oab Oabnithi and Great Sapol (sadly, not as a couple) in a sad and romantic take on a classic Thai legend.
Let's Fight Ghost | A Thai remake of a fun and somewhat spooky kdrama with spiritual themes. And Saint Suppapong.
🎞️Pee Nak 1, 2, 3 (and soon 4) | I'm biased because I really like this movie series. It's spooky but in a fun way. It has queer characters (as comedic relief - but not in a degrading way) and can get surprisingly deep. Watch this if you want to see (baby!) Tar Atiwat grow up on screen (because he's in all four movies). The third movie rewards you with some surprisingly sweet MeanPlan that might continue into the fourth movie.
School Tales | A Thai horror anthology centred around students at various schools. This series has Fiat Patchata, Kay Lertsittichai, Pepo Nutchapan, Mark Siwat and, most prominently, Saint Suppapong and Chimon Wachirawit in well-paced 50-minute episodes.
The Stranded | One of my favourite series ever. If you watched LOST then you know what to expect. This has 3 QL couples (Perth Tanapon & Mark Siwat, Win Pawin & Tanthai Tatchapol, Ticha Wongtipkanon & Chaleeda Gilbert) but don't expect any of them to get a happy ending. Sadly, this series ended on a cliffhanger and won't get a second season due to the lead actor's tragic passing and Nadao's dissolution.
✨Upcoming Spooky BL✨
7 Days Before Valentine | Death Note but make it even more of a BL. Patrick Rangsimant originally wrote this so I'm really excited. Plus, it will begin airing in November which is almost as good as October.
Tumblr media
🎞️After Sundown | A period ghost movie that hit Thai cinemas this summer to great success. There's currently no news on an international release.
🎞️Death Is All Around | Saint Suppapong coming through with another spooky production - this one about death and the afterlife. This also has Seng Wichai, Bas Suradej and Dun Romchumpa (presumably as a couple).
The Hell Guards | Chains of Heart but make it spooky. Oh, I am so excited for this!
My Imaginary Boyfriend | Based on another one of Pat Rangsimant's novels (my favourite, atually). This one is more grounded, and spooky in a more psychological sense.
Mystique in the Mirror | Another one of Pat Rangsimant's novels (and psychological horror too, by the looks of it). This one started filming back in early summer so it should be airing soon.
Tumblr media
Shadow | This series will air its first seven episodes on Halloween and that should tell you everything you need to know. It's a suspenseful (ghost?) story set in a Catholic private school.
Tumblr media
Spirit Reborn | This has the potential to be very spooky, with curses and spirits and past lives.
Tumblr media
SunsetxVibes | This is going to be messy and spicy but the short pilot trailer did have spooky undertones and possible spiritual themes.
The Whisperer | More psychological horror but this time not penned by Pat. Apparently, this has been in production for a while so hopefully we'll get some news soon.
Tumblr media
Zomvivor | The only zombie series on this list has entered pre-production and is slated to be released in 2024 (hopefully before October). Will it have BL? I don't know, but it stars pretty much all of domundi's acting couples (and more).
1000 Years Old | Will it be spooky? No idea, but it does have vampires and sometimes that's enough.

Site Update - 10/30/2023
Tumblr media
Hi Pillowfolks!  We hope you are safe and well. Today’s site update includes the anticipated release of our Drafts feature!. We apologize for the extended downtime to push this update. Updating the database to include the new fields & indexing necessary for Drafts too much longer than anticipated. We will be monitoring closely for any unexpected bugs so please let us know if you run into any.
New Features/Improvements
Drafts - Users can now save a post (both personal and community posts) as a draft to be published later. Huzzah! Saved Drafts will be visible underneath “Drafts” in the user sidebar after you click “Save Draft” in our post editor. If you have at least one saved draft, you will see a link to view your drafts in the sidebar, under the “Post” link. (NOTE: Drafts are not auto-saved; you need to save your drafts manually to make sure you don't lose your changes.)
We know many of you have been eagerly awaiting this feature for a long time. And, as we promised, this feature is available to everyone for free.
Premium Frame Update - A new autumn-inspired premium frame created by artist & Pillowfort user Jamie Kaye is now available!
Inbox Improvements - Conversations containing new messages are now bumped to the top of a user’s inbox.
Video Embed Improvements - Users can now embed Youtube Shorts using the Video option on post creation. A bug that caused Youtube embeds to fail if the youtu.be url format was used has also been fixed.
Contact Us Form Improvements - Added a Captcha to the Contact Us Form for guest users to help reduce spam.
Re: Terms of Service Update
As previously announced, we will be implementing a ban on AI-generated images and text. Our reasoning is available here.  While our Staff aimed to release the updated Terms of Service today with this update, we want to take the time to finalize our verbiage of the new rules. The Terms of Service Update will be updated soon in a separate update. Thank you for your understanding.
Best, Staff

I know this isn't your usual stuff you post about, but I have a friend coming to visit me next year and they'll need to stay in a hotel. Do you have any tips or advice for when the best time to book or get the best deal?
The best time is going to be variable, but it's best to start looking early (IN INCOGNITO MODE)(ON THE ACTUAL HOTEL SITES OR APPS) and keep comparing. Jump if you see a special or something. Generally you'll get better prices earlier, but they can also be nonrefundable so be sure to triple check. If you DO make a nonrefundable reservation and suddenly can't make it, do not despair: that's where NOT BOOKING THROUGH THIRD PARTY SITES comes in. See below.
Incognito: because many sites will notice you are looking at the same flights/stays and start upping the prices accordingly. I didn't actually learn that through my job but through my degree. Not every site/company does this, but it's worth being careful about.
On the actual hotel sites or apps: it is tempting to look through third party apps like expedia or priceline or their many subsidiaries because they appear to have cheaper prices. Sometimes they even do! But if you have trouble at a hotel or want to adjust dates or make special requests or ask about better prices, you WILL be shit out of luck. At a property level third party reservations are stuck. We don't have YOUR money so we can't return it (9/10, you pay the third party. Then they give us THEIR virtual card. We can't even give you a receipt, because we don't have your card or your money), and except in some very specific circumstances you don't get credit with any memberships you have. We can't adjust your reservation for the same reason, so if you have to cancel after the cut off date you are Out Of Luck. If you've made your reservation directly through a hotel's specific site/reservation line and contact the property directly and are polite you will usually find a clerk willing to at least check if, say, triple A or student or hospital discounts are available. As humans we can and often do take 'oh shit there's a hurricane and people can't travel' or 'death in the family' etc as reasonable explanations for cancelling after the cut off date, and generally someone on property will be a compassionate human and manually change the charge to $0 or something, which, say it with me: We Cannot Do If The Reservation Is Booked Through A Third Party Site (or I suppose in theory we could 0 it out, but that would only benefit the third party site and not you).
Also I really do suggest joining a rewards program or three. They are almost always free to join, you can make sure your info is on there for easier reserving, there are member-specific discounts (not always large, but even ten bucks counts, right?) and most brands are willing to go to some extra effort for members. I do NOT suggest saving your credit card to this rewards profile: while database security is pretty good these days and most places DO fire anyone found giving ANY guest info out, the starwood breach a few years ago made me wary and this will ALSO prevent someone from fraudulently using your rewards account/credit card to check in via mobile, which is where most fraud happens these days. One weekend I caught seven people. It was A Time.
I hope this was helpful to you, even if it got really long.

A Note from Elle —
Hey folks, giving some notice that on July 6 at 12 PM Pacific I will be locking down my fics on AO3 to registered users only.
In the wake of these past couple years of reading about writers and artists dealing with AI and bots scraping their work to post on other sites, or to train up chatbots/generative content, as well as my own experience as a professional creative who works with AI in big tech, I’ve decided this is the best move for my personal anxiety.
I’m pretty sad because a most of my recent kudos have been from lovely guests such as some of you, and I realize Church’s story might not be as widely-enjoyed as a result of me locking down my fics.
If you’re a guest who would like to keep reading, please consider making a free AO3 account to keep up through there. If you’re a regular reader, it would mean the world to me if you shared this series and its fics with those who might enjoy it.
I love storytelling. I love telling THIS story.
But I also love how hard I’ve worked on weaving something original, no matter how small.
Thank you in advance for your understanding and support! ❤️
Love, Elle ✨

ok. let's clear some things up.
so there's this callout post going around on twitter right now for someone who is, in a word, dangerous. they are a pro-contact MAP and zoophile and they run a mastodon instance that allows minors, NSFW, and people of all contact stances to share a space. very bad!
now, this person is extremely open about their stances, so callouts are kind of useless to start with because if someone is interacting with this person, they know damn well who they are. they're really not hiding it.
the main issue with these callouts, however, is the free advertisement they give to that mastodon instance i mentioned. that's right! to help people "avoid" this place, these callout posts blatantly spell out the name of the instance (as well as another like it), which... makes it very easy for people to find these extremely dangerous places!
that's advertisement. straight up. i don't care what your intentions were, you are giving people an easy way to directly go to these places. it's like antis who share CSEM in callouts. like... that's bad? don't fucking show that to people to prove your point.
so these callouts are ineffective at best and harmful at worst. and then people started trying to post them to aethy. (fwiw, we blocked both those instances ages ago, as well as anyone openly posting in support of them who had accounts federated with us/on aethy itself.)
so take into account the issues i've presented above, and now add to that rule number 3 on aethy:
Tumblr media
read that a few times for me. really let it sink in.
if you think an instance or user are a problem, report them to us. we will take care of it. if someone associates with a person like the one in these callouts, tell us about that, too! because we also have a rule in that vein:
Tumblr media
it is our job to keep our platform safe. help us do that. do not be a vigilante.
and furthermore, if you break a rule on aethy, and then you're shitty to staff about it? taullo does not have any qualms banning you. i may be a forgiving little doormat, but taullo owns the site and taullo does not take abuse lying down. some of you need to remember that aethy is not a big name platform like tumblr or twitter. taullo pays for it exclusively themselves. they code it entirely on their own as well. aethy is their house and if you are a shitty guest they have every right to kick you out. that said, such bans are uncommon.
in fact, only two such bans were made this month. so if you see one of those banned users claiming aethy is censoring detractors en masse and "imploding", do know that they are lying to your face.
finally, here's a reminder to read the rules of the sites you use. they do have meaning. even if you disagree with them, breaking them does mean staff has a right to inflict you with consequences. try to keep that in mind?

Then, Now, and Always
Chapter 46: Then, Now, and Always
Summary: The end of the war and everything that comes after.
Author's Note below the cut. Contains spoilers for the chapter so read the chapter first.
Thanks everyone for reading Then, Now, and Always. My biggest creative project of the past year and as of now, my best work. This fandom has given me so much, from badly needed dopamine during my first year of grad school to a lovely excuse to go to London for my first ever con! I've discovered so much new music and so many new artists, developed crushes on a ton of great actors, and expanded my creative world so much. I can't believe the fic is finished. I'll sure miss it, but I'm excited to do other awesome things.
If anyone is interested, here is a link to an app/website called Lingvano. It comes highly recommended by deaf folks as a way for (hearing) people to learn ASL from deaf people. If I could write this fic again, I'd put actual deaf characters in it and maybe give Tally a deaf teacher. From research, I've learned it's better to study ASL from deaf folks, as they speak it as it's meant to be spoken and it's also their language in general. Unfortunately, Lingvano costs $9.99 per month after the free trial. Worth it in my opinion, as it's a very well-done site.
At the end of this post, there's a link to a playlist of music I listened to while writing the fic. I put liner notes of sorts below because I always get excited when other authors do that. However, you're welcome to listen however you like.
The Playlist
Chasing Twisters - Delta Rae : If Then, Now, and Always had a theme song, it would be this.
Salvation - LP : Honorable Mention
The Night We Met - Lord Huron : A guest commenter called Song Fairy recced this song to me in the Chapter 28 comments. You could listen to it anywhere in the fic, but Chapter 2 is reasonable enough to get a taste of what's coming.
X-Training - Henry Jackman : To be listened to during Chapter 11 during Tally's retraining montage.
Come to Your Senses - Alexandra Shipp, Vanessa Hudgens : It amuses me that this song is two women singing to Andrew Garfield because in my opinion, it's the best lesbian love ballad ever written for musical theater. Accompanies Chapter 12: The Twilight of Witchkind.
Say Something - A Great Big World, Christina Aguilera : I'm guessing it's obvious, but if it's not, this goes with Chapter 13: Say Something.
This is Me - Keala Settle, The Greatest Showman Ensemble : To be listened to with Chapter 15: Silent Witch, when Tally grabs the world by the nostrils and forces it to acknowledge her.
Ugly Heart - G.R.L : Could be listened to anywhere in the Chapter 16-19 realm where Sarah and Tally are both raging, both mad, sort of at each other, but mostly in general.
Evermore - Josh Groban : SpookyWitchling mentioned this song in the comments of Chapter 16: By Hand, specifically. I like it more as an Alder song, maybe at the end of Chapter 17: The Downside of Miracles, but you may do as you wish.
Laid Low - The Naked and Famous : This song has made Top 5 in my Spotify end of year playlist since 2016. It's a banger, it has anime AMV energy, I love it, and I think it's goes well with the Arc II finale, Chapter 25: Battle of the Goddesses.
If I'd Known I Loved Her - Delta Rae : I love this song so much. I first heard it in September 2022, back when TNAA was a mere twinkle in my eye, and I was like "Holy shit, this is Alder's half of the love story." Goes with Chapter 26: If I'd Known.
History Has Its Eyes on You: Christopher Jackson, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Original Broadway Cast of Hamilton : The main difficulty of writing the third act was Tally's character arc. At first, it was her overcoming her squeamishness and fear of getting hands dirty by killing Hearst in the finale. This felt supremely unsatisfying to me, and I realized this was because it was Tally's Arc II character journey, which was tied off in Chapter 25: Battle of the Goddesses. Readers might have missed it because it was an Alder POV chapter, but Chapter 25 is Tally's Arc II character climax. She takes control of Alder's mind during their duel, showing she's willing to fight dirty, punch below the belt, and do whatever it takes to survive, and she betrays Nicte to save the Spree, showing she can put her personal feelings aside to protect her people. Everything I'd planned for Arc III Tally, I actually gave to Arc II Tally. So I had to think of something else.
This song got me to where I needed to be to write Arc III Tally. At this point, it's not really about her personal internals, but about her journey as a leader and what she's going to do to change the world and lead witches into a future of peace. Yeah I know. It got really plotty and philosophical. But everything worked out! And I think it's way better than my original plan.
Stand by You - Rachel Platten
Human - Cher Lloyd
I like either or both of these for Chapters 28 and 29, Alder's Folly and The Seed of Revelation, Tally's POV which then slides into Alder's POV. They're ballads, bangers, and they work on numerous levels, which is cool.
All I Ask of You - Josh Groban, Kelly Clarkson : The song that led to me becoming a Kelly Clarkson stan. Her new album, Chemistry, is amazing. Listen to this song with Chapter 32: Past, Present, Future, when Tally is soothing Alder's fears and musing about their future.
Tally Two / What's the Plan / F-14 - Harold Faltermeyer : The main reason this fic is so aircraft-heavy is because I started writing it in October 2022, when Top Gun: Maverick came out on streaming. Listen to this song during Chapter 33: Into Darkness.
Zen Ball Master - John Powell, Hans Zimmer : It's not perfect, but I think the first half of the song suits the firefight scene in Chapter 35: Tally's Gift, when Tally, Sarah, and the Biddies are fighting their way out of the death factory.
I Am Moana (Song of the Ancestors) : I listened to this on repeat when I wrote Chapter 39: Nafssia. I knew what the chapter would be, I knew what Tally would do, and I knew I had to bring the fucking house down, which is why it took going to England, experiencing Witchbomb, and getting smiled at by Lyne Renee to pull it off.
One Less Witch in the World - Brandon Roberts : I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks this, but the Motherland soundtrack is disproportionately amazing. Like...why didn't they spend that money on better writers? Or idk, a few more episodes in each season? Doesn't matter. This song is awesome, but I think it works well with Chapter 44: One Less Witch in the World, during the third section where they're diverting the Accords.
Dance with Everybody - Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors
Who Do You Love - Marianas Trench
Better Place - Rachel Platten
Three end credits songs. I like imagining Sarah and Tally enjoying a wonderful Beltane together with Dance with Everybody and/or Who Do You Love as the backing track. In my mind, if it's Who Do You Love, Tally runs over to the drums for heavy drums section during the bridge and uses her touch-empathy to play alongside the rest of the drummers. She doesn't have a voice, so I like imagining her learning to play instruments so she and Sarah can still make music together. Better Place works well as a fade-to-black song during the domestic bliss at the end of the fic.

Super duper random but I’m also going to write a smol brainstorm of Jennie attending New York Comic Con in 2018! I want her to attend and be a guest doing autographs and photo ops. She’d meet Armies, new fans that liked her in Black Panther and old fans from Amity. I believe it’d shock ARMY when NYCC announces her as a guest and they’ll try to jump at the chance to meet her, crashing the site. A whole K-Pop idol there? Chaotic and exciting. Those who already have NYCC badges will be thrilled to not have to be on the waitlist to try to buy one. It’ll be around the love yourself tour and after the Chicago dates she’d attend Thursday to Saturday at NYCC and then make her way to London for those tour stops.
I even want Jungkook to join her one day to enjoy the con and they can cosplay wearing Iron Man suits for a little bit. I see fans unaware it would be them under the suits and helmets until they post photos about it. “I met JenKook unintentionally and for free!?” I see them saying stuff like that lol. Before the show even starts they will get there early, recording Bangtan Bombs to explore the show floor.
I even see him taking a cute photo op with her by picking her up to test the camera just before her first photo op session too. I’ll make it fun. I see Jen as someone who really wants to do her best to meet as many fans as she can while being safe about it. She’ll totally have one of the biggest lines, making traction from non K-Pop listeners on who she is. I may even put some of my personal experiences meeting my favs at NYCC too for fun. When I met this one awesome person, her line had to be split. So her line had to continue in another section of the floor. It was insane.
Also Danai Gurira attended NYCC 2018! Her and Jennie would do team up photo ops and catch up 💜❤️
