i think having a nice theme and an overall inviting atmosphere on your blog will make people want to interact with you more. that helped me bc people sent me msgs about how they liked my theme, aesthetic, etc. though it may not directly = followers, you can still make friends n stuff which makes being on here more fun !!

as for time/days, i post my actual fics (not drabbles) at night. i’m not sure if time really matters bc of time zones and stuff but i would imagine posting at night would be ideal bc most people are at home yk in their beds chilling 🥸🥸 don’t be afraid to reblog your own posts so everyone can see them.

and utilize tags !! tag everything like _ x reader, _ smut , _ x you, ect. but be careful don’t tag fluff if you’re writing smut or vice versa.

also make your posts look inviting. have a pretty layout that makes people want to read more. what i try to do is with the little read more bar thing i put it under something so it kinda makes a cliff hanger IF THAT MAKES SENSE like in my choso fic i put it under “and you don’t make it any easier” so the readers like ooo what did i do yk?? makes them want to read more.

lastly don’t obsess too much over interactions and followers. i rmb on my first post i literally sat refreshing for like an hour waiting for someone to like it which is insane😭😭. if you obsess too much over the results writing might start to feel like some job or a chore when it should be fun !! remember everything will come will time. be patient and try to be consistent 🌬️🌬️🌬️.
