You think JNPR should get 1 anthology as a group, 2 for each couple, or 4 for each character? Personally I’d like 2.

I think it’s been said they’re getting two for Arkos and Renora but don’t quote me on that. 

Personally I’d like one for each and I’d probably buy them all if they promised “We will have every member of the team interacting with non-JNPR characters.”

Steph Ongoing as Robin or Ongoing as Spoiler? Since she already had one as Batgirl.

mm that’s tough. On the one hand, I do think Steph would benefit from being allowed to spend more time and development as Robin, and a solo – even a miniseries – would be very helpful in that regard.

That said, I’ve always been a big supporter of Spoiler!Steph and wish we had seen more of her independent adventures without the necessity of other characters’ POV, and in that way I kind of selfishly want a Spoiler ongoing.

So, for me, a Spoiler ongoing while holding out for a Robin miniseries.

You think Jason would've met Damian at some point if he had stayed with Talia longer? Boy, wouldn't that be a fun what-if.

I would hope so! The timeline is funky, especially with Death of the Maidens, but it sure would have been interesting. Considering Damian is Jason’s favorite Robin even though he barely knows him, how would that change if he did know him? And how much Damian’s perception of Jason would change based on how his mother perceives/behaves around Jason? 

I like to think that Damian would have been less of a little shit at the beginning if he’d had Jason snarking at him for any crazy shit he said/did, but I guess we’ll never know.

I know it’s standard for new seasons to introduce new characters, but I’m not sure they should be introducing so many so soon. I’m looking forward to seeing how they introduce Velvet, Sun, and Penny’s teams as well as the rest of the big bads, but we barely know that much about Yang, Ren, Nora, or even Ruby, our title character.

I have never understood what this whole "(Numbers) Saying a thing." thing is all about. Could you please explain that?

I assume you mean where we get the text for the images? There is a website called Texts From Last Night. It works a bit like the Overheard In sites, except that it collects texts from people's parties - good or bad. Hence the multiple references to sex, drugs, and rock and roll etc. They're categorized by area code, which is what those numbers are. What the [Fandom] From Last Night blogs do is figure out which characters might have sent those texts, largely for shits and giggles. I honestly only made the first handful because I was bored, and then my friends threw things at me until I made more. 

There you go, TOMEFLN in a nutshell. If that wasn't your question, I apologize, and will try again if you don't mind clarifying for my sleep-addled brain.

(And if anyone's wondering what the deal is with Kirb and Taco Bell, I made one 'cause it fit, a few more 'cause it was funny, and then riddlepanda not only ran with it, she sprinted across at least two football fields with it. At least.)

Well, if I may provide something to look forward to this year, one of the comic reviewers I follow on YouTube is going to be doing a month-long retrospective on Cass Cain!

Oh that’s so exciting!!! I hope they enjoy it and provide some good, much needed Cassandra analysis in the YT sphere

Have you had a chance to check out the new Titans show yet? Because after I saw your Lilith post, the only thing I'm actually excited about for that show she might show up in it with her Rebirth look.

I have not seen it actually. I’m reluctant to pay for the DC app but we’ll see if that changes!

My curiosity for your overall thoughts on RVB15 (and 14 if you saw that) grows every day...

Okay, I’ve actually been trying to formulate my feelings into words for a long time now, but I’m actually starting to rewatch the season so I can give a full deep-dive essay series on why this season bothered me so much. 

I can sum it up pretty easily, though, with “lost potential” “queerbaiting” and “the best episodes (the first five) literally had nothing to do with the plot and were basically retconned into not happening, we could have lost them and it would have meant the same and them being the best episodes actually retroactively made the whole season even worse”

And that gives way to the theme of my disappointment lol! 

It’s sad though because I obviously L O V E this series a lot and I’m harsh because I love it, I wouldn’t “force” myself to watch seasons of things I hate no matter what and the fact that even what little I have publicly said about this season has led to confrontation for me makes me really disheartened about tackling this project as a whole

but lbr I’m a glutton for arguing about stupid things I love. So onward. It might be three years later but I WILL write the ultimate essay on why I didn’t like this season that hardly anyone will read lol

Huh, Jean Gray and Power Girl? What made you pick that pair? I can see YJ and Champions (youngster teams), and Zatanna and Strange (magic), but these two match up?

They are the epitome of both their companies refusing to let them live for two years without a major retcon to their powers/histories/abilities/romances/friendships/power levels/costumes/hair styles/etc.

I imagine half the team up would be dedicated to eating ice cream and complaining about how complicated everything is but even more how annoying everyone’s fixation on their ever changing characteristics is when they just want to put on costumes and save worlds.

I’m a complete nerd so I actually own the entire series on DVD for sub & dub because I cannot over express how obsessed I was with T&B when it was airing -- like literally it was my first year of college and @theeffar and I would watch it together every week as it aired in Japan through Hulu. 

But if people haven’t watched Tiger & Bunny and like superhero genre stuff I cannot recommend it enough

How would you write your AU Titans team's personalities to work off each other? I've seen Raven, Cyborg, and Starfire work off each other well in the Teen Titans cartoon, but I'm not super acquainted with the Supergirl/Batgirl dynamic or how Jesse would work in there, so I'm curious (as a writer myself) how you'd distinguish them all beyond their powers and costumes.

Kara and Babs were actually best friends in the Bronze Age so their friendship is mirroring of that. Babs will take on a leadership role among the Titans and it will be similar to her time in charge of the Birds of Prey, especially as she balances her responsibilities to the Titans with her responsibilities to her position as a Congresswoman. She’s also going to be a mentor to Jesse and very close to Raven due to their similar dispositions.

Kara is something of the tank of the team, which leads to a close friendship with her and Kory similar to the friendship in the original Titans between Donna and Kory. She’s Babs’ confidante but she also becomes one of the closest friends with Victor.

Jesse is going to be the youngest member and since she’s a legacy hero and dealing with her parents divorce in her normal life, she’s going to use her time with the Titans to come into her own as the only actual teenager of the group. But since she’s a very serious personality even as a kid, she gravitates toward Babs the most of everyone. She’s a younger, less mature version of the Jesse we see in Titans (1998-2002).

Same, that was my favorite for her, too. 

Well, I also liked in The Flash where she would wear the bomber jacket with it. Reminded me  80s Animal Man. It was a great look.
