After the official release of the song "Scylla" during the Thunder Saga of EPIC: The Musical, I decided to do a little revising to my God AU version of the song.

I'd originally written that it was only a meeting between Odysseus, his men and Bisuke, the God of Fear, who attacked them purely out of spite for ignoring their fears. Now that I know the real story leading up to the song, I think some rewriting is needed.

In my God AU, the Sirens tell Odysseus that the only way to hide from Fubuki, the vengeful God of the Sea, is to travel through the one place where no god can interfere: the Underground. Only problem is the patron god, Kurt, requires offerings in order for humans to utilize its secrecy. Odysseus and his men have been on the water for twelve years, though. They have no riches they can present as offerings.

Although, if the legends are true, riches aren’t the only form of offerings that Kurt accepts…

So Odysseus sets their course for one of the few known entrances to the Underground. Once inside, he orders for Eurylochus to light up six torches. He refrains from telling his men that the torches mark the only offerings he can make for Kurt: human lives.

As soon as the torches are lit, a face appears from the shadows.

And behind him, like a loyal dog, looms his terrifying tax collector:

My character design enjoyer side avidly enjoyed my favs' designs from this au. Their colours and concepts are genuinely devine.

I started with Blindt, then Rurikawa and then the list increasing to 5 more with every design and character I wanted to draw, which I can't complete right now.

Just an example of why I'm late for deadlines, my goals aren't fixed lol, it keeps expanding inbetween the process.

Okay, I know this might just be a coincidence, but why is Red Eye’s helmet insignia so similar to the one that Fubuki’s necklace is carved into? Or is it the other way around? But then, if it was, why would Forneus have the emblem on its belly (bit beast form), and on its energy layer? :0c

Back all too soon with the "Beyblade Burst God AU x Epic: The Musical" crossover!

Now we're into the Underworld Saga, which came out only about a week ago! First is the first song, which is also the titular song, "The Underworld"!

I know that there isn't a god that sings during this song, but I really wanted to draw Jin because he's the God of the Spirit World. It's his territory, so of course he should be there when Odysseus and his men enter.

I’d like to think that Jin would listen to the deceased who had known Odysseus, and learn of his struggles through their stories. He’d be instantly intrigued when he realizes that the infamous Captain has entered his realm. And when he sees that Odysseus is being attacked by his inner demons, he’d feel the need to extend some help. He’d call the spirits of Odysseus’s most important friend and beloved mother to remind him of his values, and to stay true to himself in his quest to get home. It may have the opposite effect, but hey, he tried.

(Remember, Jin is always crying on behalf of the deceased souls in his realm.)

This one only took me a day to draw because I wanted Polites and Anticlea to be in the foreground, though I still wanted them to have as few details as possible. Because, well… they’re spirits. Of course they’re a little see-through.

It’s totally not because I haven’t thought far enough ahead to have a design for either character… ahem.
