Great news everyone, Munchies is out of the shelter!!! 😁😁🎉👍🎆🎊 @bff_pet_rescue pulled her out of the shelter this afternoon. After TWO years and 4 months living in kennel, only soft warm bed for this senior pitbull every night from now on. 😁😁😁 This is the second dog that @bff_pet_rescue have rescued from our shelter, the first one being Princess ( now Gigi), another senior dog. Thank you so much @itssummerparker and @bff_pet_rescue for rescuing another dog from us. Words can't describe how we are feeling right now. We are forever grateful ❤❤❤ Also, thank you to everyone who kindly repostedand shared the plight of Munchies on Instagram. Six are from OC Animal Care, two are from SEAACA and we have another surprise pull tomorrow. Myself and @emsillyann spent 3 hours on Sunday testing and photographing each dog. I can tell you that each dog has never had a grooming. They are filthy from being in the shelter, they need nail trims, warm baths and ear cleaning. Please consider sponsoring just ONE bath this week. They were at our vet and are heading to Vinjons so we can walk and work with them. Regrann from @zachskow - Surrendering your dog for being "old" should be a fucking crime. Or should at the very least result in being immediately open-hand slapped in the face, on video, with permission to post on social media!!! This is a gorgeous, dignified life we are talking about, no less valuable than you or I! A thinking, feeling, regal being, capable of great magic and medicine. He's clearly confused and in shock, depressed at being left there. I know dogs don't think like we do and I'm not trying to anthropomorphism but you can see it!!! I can understand not being able to pay for a dog with mounting, end of life medical bills but simply giving up and turning in for old age is atrocious. If need be, send your dog off with dignity, surrounded by love, not in a cold, loud shelter, surrounded by sorrow. Let's get into action and put our energy into helping him! This #senior #doberman at @palmdaleacc was surrendered for being old. Let's show him and the world that his best days aren't up, that's he's got a real, loving home waiting for him! We just need to find it! Let's post and pledge and share! Les make a point by not letting this old fella just die in there. Today is a great day. Today is a magnificent day. Never lose hope, never stop trying. Many of you know and love 13 year old Princess, who spent most of her life on this planet in a backyard. She ended up in our shelter, where she spent another 2 years. Today was her last day. Today, she found freedom!!! She was rescued by @bff_pet_rescue !!! 👏👏👏 No more kennel living for this beautiful soul. She will be fostered and living in a good home! Such a happy ending 🎉🎉🎉 Thank you so much @bff_pet_rescue for taking her in, and thank you @michelle for picking her up. This picture is of our volunteer @jton1110 saying goodbye to his favorite big dog Munchies. It was a bitter sweet moment for sure 😢😁. For the majorityof the 2 + years Munchies staying with us, he had been buying the specialty dog food for Munchies. Yup, he loves her that much 😍.
