Great news everyone, Munchies is out of the shelter!!! 😁😁🎉👍🎆🎊 @bff_pet_rescue pulled her out of the shelter this afternoon. After TWO years and 4 months living in kennel, only soft warm bed for this senior pitbull every night from now on. 😁😁😁 This is the second dog that @bff_pet_rescue have rescued from our shelter, the first one being Princess ( now Gigi), another senior dog. Thank you so much @itssummerparker and @bff_pet_rescue for rescuing another dog from us. Words can't describe how we are feeling right now. We are forever grateful ❤❤❤ Also, thank you to everyone who kindly repostedand shared the plight of Munchies on Instagram. #Repost @senior.dogs.matter ・・・ TWO LONG YEARS WITHOUT A LOVING FAMILY💔#Repost @laadopt (@get_repost) ・・・ 12 y/o MUNCHIES LIVING IN A KENNEL ‬2 YEARS‬ 😭💔 The shelter life has been hard for this beautiful senior, Munchies was recently diagnosed with arthritis and she’s having a hard time walking in her kennel ( WOBBLING 😞) Munchies a 12-year-old #seniordog that was surrendered to the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society 2016. She was dumped to shelter at age of 10 and she’s now 12 living at SGVHS 730 DAYS 💔 . Munchies was briefly adopted about a year and half ago and returned quickly because her adopter said she did not do ok with resident large female dog ( Their meet at shelter was good ) We do not know the real story of what happened but she’s now listed as the only dog. The shelter does not have behaviorist or trainer in shelter to properly test with other dogs. Volunteer noted she did okay with few dogs in the playgrounds with a fence between them. Munchies will need an experienced Foster or adoption commitment to make it out. ❤Foster/ Rescue / Adopter needed ❤ We are still looking to get our senior girl Munchies out of the shelter and into a foster/ rescue or better yet, a forever home where she can spend the final chapter in comfort. She has a wonderful personality, strong spirit and love cuddling the most, but at 12 years old, he body is starting to give up... Specifically, her hind legs ( arthritis). She was surrendered to the shelter 2 years ago and it didn't take long for her to be one our favorites. She is cute with great personality, but unless you are an experienced dog owner, she needs to be the only dogs of the home. She is not hostile to all dogs, but she is picky who she wants to be friends with.
