I think you and I have to compete for the title of biggest Tom & Jerry fan, but for right now you have to tell me you've at least seen the new shorts that actually take place in Singapore, they're really adorable

I haven’t really seen much of Tom and Jerry since I was like a kid and seeing the old episodes on DVD. But I have seen some clips of the Singapore show and it’s very cute, the style is adorable.

Honestly out of all western media being popular in non western places, Tom and Jerry being popular in places like China and Singapore is both interesting and odd to me.

I’m not complaining though. I love those two and I love that other people love them.

Watching old MLP G4 episodes and listening to the songs as I run errands has made me thought about the overlap between MLP fans and Sonic fans. SO LET ME TELL YALL MY PERSONAL OPINION WHICH OF THE MANE SIX WOULD GET ALONG WITH THE SONIC CAST!

Why Bedlam's name is..Bedlam? I have some thoughts, I just want to prove them

Real answer— during his creation I spent like an hour on Thesaurus finding synonyms for the word “chaos” and ended up landing on “Bedlam”. It was supposed to be a temp name, but I eventually liked it enough for it to stick.

Cannon lore answer— in around the 1300’s, he came across the “Bethlehem Hospital” in London. He heard how others started to refer to it as “Bethlem” and thought it was a nice enough word to start using the more often pronounced version of the word (Bedlam).

Sonic universe answer— the people gave him the name “Bedlam” over his extremely disruptive and chaotic nature (albeit in another language at the time cause he’s very old). He didn’t bother to give himself a name or change the name given, so he stuck with it. He actually is quite fond of the name.
