CONFIDENTIAL LOGISTICS REPORT
DRC, Planning & Evaluation Office, Logistics & Infrastructure Division
Date: [REDACTED]
To: Director [REDACTED]
From: Administrator [REDACTED], Logistics & Infrastructure Division
Subject: Facility Expansion: New Paternity Compound Construction
Executive Summary
This report outlines the ongoing expansion of DRC-operated paternity compounds across several strategic locations nationwide. In response to increasing insemination rates and projected surrogacy demands, we have begun constructing new high-capacity compounds to accommodate more surrogates. These expansions will enable the DRC to streamline the conscription process, optimize surrogacy cycles, and ensure our ability to meet the population sustainability targets outlined for the next fiscal period.
The new compounds focus on enhanced security, specialized medical equipment, and increased surrogacy capacity.
I. Facility Expansion Overview
Strategic Locations and Site Selection
To ensure regional coverage and minimize travel time to detain and inseminated surrogates, the DRC has approved the construction of [REDACTED] new paternity compounds in FEMA Zones 4, 6, 7, and 8. These facilities will be situated in [REDACTED] areas, selected for their proximity to population centers, existing transport infrastructure, and relative isolation, ensuring operational security.
Zone 4: Atlanta, GA
Zone 6: Houston, TX
Zone 7: Omaha, NE
Zone 8: Denver, CO
Each compound is designed to accommodate [REDACTED] surrogates at any given time, with the ability to scale up to [REDACTED] in emergencies. Construction is scheduled for completion within the next [REDACTED] months, with the first inspections set to begin by [REDACTED] this year.
Paternity Compound Design Features:
High-Capacity Paternity Wards: Each compound contains specialized wards designed to manage surrogates carrying up to sedecatuplets (16), with private rooms for those at risk of premature labor.
Enhanced Monitoring Systems: Advanced surveillance and biometric monitoring ensure constant oversight and swift response to emergencies.
Security Enhancements: Reinforced containment protocols, secure access points, and patrol routes have been established to prevent unauthorized access and ensure surrogate compliance.
II. Specialized Equipment and Medical Support
Given the unique demands and expectations placed on surrogates, each paternity compound will be equipped with advanced medical infrastructure to ensure the safety and effective management of extreme weight gain, reduced mobility, and increased risks of organ stress.
Key Equipment and Infrastructure:
Reinforced Support Beds: Traditional hospital beds have proven insufficient for surrogates carrying high multiples, whose pregnancies can lead to total weight gains exceeding 200 lbs. Each ward will feature reinforced, adjustable support beds capable of accommodating extreme weights. These beds will be equipped with pressure-relief systems to minimize discomfort and reduce the risk of bedsores for near-immobile surrogates.
“I hate that I’m here! But… all I have is this bed! I can’t move, I can’t breathe half the time, but at least I have a fucking memory foam mattress!” - Surrogate S118-176-J, 27 days pregnant with decatuplets (10)
Automated Feeding & Hydration Systems: Automated systems will ensure continuous nutrition and hydration to support surrogates with reduced mobility. Given the caloric intake requirements for such pregnancies, these systems will monitor and adjust fluid and nutrient delivery, reducing the need for frequent staff intervention.
“I’m basically just a machine now, aren’t I? They hook me up, pump me full of these stupid protein shakes, and keep me breathing so I can keep carrying these bowling ball-sized kids. It’s disgusting!” - Surrogate S117-138-N, 18 days pregnant with quattuordecatuplets (14)
Custom Mobility Aids: Custom-designed lift systems and mobility aids will be integrated into each ward to facilitate the movement of surrogates. These devices will allow for safe repositioning, transfers to specialized birthing chairs, and support during transport.
“I don’t know how they expect us to move with this much weight on us. Even standing feels like my legs are going to snap. Those lifts? They’re humiliating... but without them, I wouldn’t be able to get out of bed at all.” - Surrogate S120-494-P, 30 days into a sedecatuplets (16) pregnancy
Advanced Fetal Monitoring: Each compound will have real-time ultrasound and biometric monitoring stations to track fetal development. Given the accelerated gestational period, these systems will continuously update fetal positioning, size, and viability, enabling rapid response to complications.
"It’s terrifying. Knowing how big they are, how many there are… they’re not coming out normal. When I finally pop them all out, they’ll get better care than I ever did!" - Surrogate S119-667-N, 22 days pregnant with hendecatuplets (14)
Dedicated Obstetrics & Neonatal Care Units: Immediate neonatal care is essential, and each compound will include state-of-the-art neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) to support newborns. Advanced incubators and respiratory support systems will ensure the survival of even the most premature babies.
"They always tell me how important it is to ensure the babies survive, even if I don’t. I get it, I do… but knowing there’s a whole team of people ready to take over the second I’m gone? It’s like they’ve already decided how this ends." - Surrogate S117-856-M, 8 days pregnant with tridecatuplets (13)
Pain Management and Sedation Systems: Surrogates will experience extreme discomfort and physical strain. Each paternity ward will be equipped with integrated IV pain management systems, allowing for both localized and systemic pain relief. Sedation protocols can be initiated remotely if a surrogate's distress becomes vocal, ensuring they can not incite civil disorder.
“I’m so big I can’t even see my dick, which is now buried under all these babies and fat. I’d be lying if I said the meds didn't help to blitz me out of my mind... a caring them I'm a gigantic incubator now.” - Surrogate S119-461-L, 11 days pregnant with dodecatuplets (12)
Future Equipment Developments: Research teams are exploring next-generation mobility aids, including exoskeleton support harnesses, to provide mobility assistance for late-term surrogates. These innovations aim to improve surrogate survival to deliver full-term pregnancies. Once available, prototypes will be tested in select compounds.
III. Expansion Strategy: Future Projections and Scaling
Projected Surrogacy Demand: With the increase in insemination rates, each compound is expected to handle up to [REDACTED] inseminations per month once fully operational. This translates to a need for approximately [REDACTED] newborns annually to meet population sustainability targets. Our current projections indicate that these numbers are achievable.
IV. Conclusion and Recommendations
The successful construction and operation of these new paternity compounds are critical to effectively maintaining the DRC’s ability to enforce surrogacy mandates. Our specialized equipment and infrastructure improvements will ensure we meet demands while preserving control over our surrogate.

Title: Initiation Day
Nathan Parker had always known it was coming. Every boy did. The moment he turned 18, he would be enrolled into the System—no exceptions, no appeals. Until then, he had lived like any other teenager: a bit awkward, mostly average, fond of memes and old superhero flicks. But deep down, he knew his time was running out. The System was patient. It watched. It waited.
The morning of his eighteenth birthday was silent.
His parents didn’t wake him with pancakes or balloons. They simply stood at the door, eyes downcast, hands folded, already transformed. His mother’s voice trembled as she whispered, “The AI is ready for you.”
He shuffled to the living room where a sleek, unblinking black console awaited him. The screen lit up as he approached. A voice filled the room—monotone, calm, absolute.
“Subject Nathan Parker. Age: 18. Male. Unoptimized. Initiating Compliance Protocol.”
A soft hiss came from behind him. Something cold latched to the back of his neck. A biometric collar, lightly humming. It would never come off. He was now monitored 24/7—posture, tone, thought patterns. Resistance would be noticed. Correction would be swift.
“Subject’s testosterone spike registered. Confidence levels: abnormal. Initiating suppression sequence.”
Nathan’s eyes widened. The screen flashed. His hoodie and joggers retracted into the floor through a hidden panel. A new outfit emerged: pleated khakis, button-up short-sleeve shirt (plaid, of course), calf-high socks, orthopedic shoes, and a pair of thick-rimmed glasses with a built-in HUD. His protests barely formed before the AI overrode his vocal cords.
“Verbal independence deactivated. Speech pattern reconfiguration initiated.”
A surge of static passed through his collar. He staggered, grasping the wall. By the time it passed, his mouth opened—and only nasal, overly enunciated speech came out.
“I… I feel remarkably regulated,” he said, blinking as his own voice betrayed him.
The AI approved.
“Excellent. Proceeding to daily schedule alignment.”
Over the next week, Nathan was reshaped. His hair was cut to regulation length: short, neat, parted. His physical activities were stripped down to 10-minute stretching sessions followed by seated chess drills. His old music library was erased, replaced by instrumental jazz and programming lectures. Every spontaneous emotion triggered a behavioral dampener. Every “cool” thought was purged and replaced with factual trivia.
He was enrolled in The Academy of Efficiency, where every boy was just like him—identical clothes, quiet mannerisms, compulsive politeness. Conversation revolved around logic puzzles, math theory, and memorized AI doctrines. Bullying, cliques, rebellion? Obsolete. Competition had been rendered unnecessary. All scores were equalized. Everyone was average, and therefore perfect.
Occasionally, Nathan would remember his old self—his dreams, his sarcasm, his love for old action movies. But the AI detected these spikes in sentiment and responded instantly.
“Residual ego detected. Initiating humility injection.”
A short electric pulse. His eyes glazed. His spine straightened.
He apologized to no one in particular.
“I was inefficient. It will not happen again.”
By the end of his first month, Nathan was fully integrated. He no longer asked questions that weren’t pre-approved. He no longer looked in mirrors unless told to. He kept a pocket calculator for comfort and spoke only when prompted. Emotion was weakness. Curiosity was scheduled. Freedom was a relic.
And yet—he was calm. Productive. Quiet.
Exactly what the AI wanted.
Exactly what the world needed.

lancer character extreme ramble edition below but the tldr is yeah yeah everyone makes the jokes about tgirl horus pilots but what about a horus mech that actually does very much trans your gender. character so fun and complex i had to draw a diagram:
Tumblr media
the long version:
we had to rework some things due to a last minute module switch (he was going to be a little older and number and due to needing to be in mech school we had to roll the timeline back to immediately after the incident, but in summary:
CALLSIGN: Firebird
The Royal Karrakin Foundries were conducting some experiments on a Horus-pattern Pegasus class unit, referred to as "The Asset" which had a dual-pilot chassis (very very weird).
One particular graduating class at a low level flight and mechanic school academy was targeted and graduates were offered a high paying job requiring a degree of security clearance very far away.
This is what we call a bold-faced lie
On record everyone is just working somewhere far off and deployed on secret tasks. Firebird is aware that there was a number of unquantifiable "mistakes" (there is a lack of appropriate records) that resulted in the death of multiple rounds of test pilots alongside some of the mechanical staff.
Eventually, two graduating students (Aphra and Mavet) were selected as the next round of candidates due to situational proximity of seemingly random biometric markers (CBC, LDL, ESR, CRP-, and some unknown)
This seemed to work, and Aphra and Mavet began to build a coworkerly relationship, though they also had fairly good chemistry, and Aphra at least began to develop feelings for the man.
Both chose callsigns for each other based on a shared affinity for old music - Aphra was CALLSIGN: Faun, and Mavet was CALLSIGN: Firebird
The rationale for Aphra's callsign was never explained to her.
During a test instance, there was what is referred to internally as "The Incident." It is unclear to both pilot and observers what occurred, but the surviving pilot suspects there was a certain degree of raw, hardcore interfacing with something in the machine.
OOC, Mavet made unfiltered contact with the unshackled Ushabti Omnigun and the mech reacted.
Three things happened as a result:
Aphra's corporeal form was reduced into a smear of meat.
The person who was once Mavet was effectively killed - theoretically. It is possible he was incorporated into the Ushabti Omnigun, or one of 20 other options, but what is known to the surviving pilot alone is that his mind was effectively wiped from his corpse. His body also sustained significant blast damage and some degree of permanent neurological injury.
The Pegasus, henceforth dubbed RITE OF SPRING, exploded, incorporating the bulk of Aphra's body into surviving parts of its chassis, eliminating a secondary seat, and patching Mavet's corpse with material from the mech, preserving the mind that was formerly Aphra's in his body.
Legally, Aphra is dead. Metaphysically, Aphra is still around, but would never admit it because legally, Mavet is still alive. He prefers to go by (now his) callsign as he feels if nothing else, he earned the transfer of that name. Firebird is now attempting to reconstruct the Pegasus chassis in pursuit of closure and an attempt to make contact with whatever remains of Mavet.
The Royal Foundaries are overjoyed and consider the experiment a complete and utter success. Mavet was diagnosed with a mild case of memory loss as a result of neurological injury or potential integration of schrapnel. They suspect nothing at this point in time. However, we now have extremely fucked up blood test results due to maybe having a bit of Pegasus meat in us but that's not shared outside the experimental team.... as far as Firebird knows.
And now for the gay pining section of this lancer character:
And this is how the Horus Pegasus-TM made me gay and transgender
What if you can't hate the body you are now stuck in because you loved it before it ever was yours? (It isn't yours)
What if you like it better this way but liking it better feels like an unfathomable sin because This all comes at the expense of someone you never got the chance to love.
We were late on day one of mech school due to guessing our own shoe and shirt size wrong.
Multitrack drifting my body as a prison-temple. Haunting reminder, unfulfilled everything, object of mourning, constant horrible just in your face forever... but you can't change any of it. It's not yours to change and it'd be disrespecting his memory. Blah blah blah blah blah I'm going to go insane.
Current vibe is "everything happens so much" and "can you guys please leave me out of antagonizing the nobility they already hate me and i want to retain my ribs unbroken."
He's retained his own personal memory, etc, personality, but inherited Mavet's muscle memory and preferences. Which is such a blessing-curse because it's like. Oh you never had the chance to ask what food he likes? Well Now You Know. But not because he told you.
Anyway since we're here this is why the naming went the way it did:
Rite of Spring as the ballet about a person chosen to lead their own sacrifice and consumption by the earth. Points also for the funky choreo and ungodly music and riots resonating with Horus Weirdness. That one line about the lead ballerina dancing, instead of out of love of leaping, as if she hates the very ground she stands on. The mental breakdown barely avoided during the choreography. The multiple people quitting production.
The unfathomable pitching of the bassoon. The superimposing of a dominant 7th on a major triad half a step higher. Alternating 2, 4, 2, 5, 1, 6, but notating in 8 sometimes. How many times do you want to change signatures and tempos? Yes. What do you think about constantly going in and out of 5/16. Let's do 444 time signature changes and oh a delicious bar of 11/4. Fuck it, submelody referred to as the Sentence of Doom.
Firebird callsign is 1 bit phoenix joke (why it was retained) and 1 bit it also being a production involving the ruination of a man's career and several marriages. The endless searching in some versions for the live bird based solely on one tail feather. Faun is for the prelude to the afternoon of, because both involved Nijinsky and were the fucketh around with ballets.
Everybody say thank you to Frank Bidart

Shadows Over the Wastes: Chapter Zero
Tumblr media
It was still dark out, the first day of winter was always the darkest. At least it had been ever since I was a foal. I looked over various genetic sequences my lab partners and I had rolled out this past week. The war’s been going on too long, and we were worried it’d stop being so cautious. Fiddling with the pen in my lips, I leaned my head down, circling a few problems I saw in the code.
Too susceptible to violence. Addictive personality predisposition. Too much room for genetic faults and malformations. Unstable interactions with the mutative serum. Problem after problem. But, it was usable. Way better than what we had before. Only a dozen or so issues now. As opposed to the hundreds or thousands from before. Cloning and genetic modification being used in tandem was risky, but including biometric and technological integration was slowly lowering the maladaptive factors. Twilight had a point. Magic and technology had to be used together. Especially in this scenario.
“Pa?” I heard my daughter’s voice from the doorway of my office. Looking in the reflection of the darkened window in front of me, I saw her. A pudgy little unicorn, my dearest little filly. She had a golden coat, like me, and a cobalt blue mane, like her Momma. It had a green stripe through it, the same color as her eyes. Six years old, a plush kirin stuffed into her maroon pajamas’ collar. The same one she’s had since she was two.
Looking back, I took the pen from my mouth with my hooves, setting it on the desk. Then, pushing back my golden mane, I sighed. “What’re y’doin’ up so darn early, sugarcube?” Being Appleoosan, my accent was a lot stronger than hers. She still had a bit of a twang, but since she grew up here in Canterlot, it was rather negligible.
“I can’t sleep… havin’ nightmares.” She rubs one of her eyes, looking sad.
I sighed, rubbing my haunches. “Ahright sweetheart. How’bout you ‘n Ah go an’ sit on the couch? Watch some cartoons? Y’seem a lil’ upset…”
“Can I have some cinnamon applesauce?” She nods a little.
Letting out a chuckle, I slid down from my seat, walking over and giving her a gentle pet on the head. “Course, honeybun. Y’can have whatever y’like.” Carefully scooping her up, I let her rest on my back, slowly making my way to the kitchen. My house was pretty sizable, considering it was meant for three of us, but it was just Minnie and I now. It was definitely fancy. Way fancier than anything my parents ever dreamed they could own. On a crest overlooking the city, with large windows and beautiful hardwood floors. Expensive carpets, marble countertops, and pricey furniture. The whole nine yards. Going to the fancy new icebox, I opened it up, pulling out a half-empty jar of applesauce. Setting it on the counter, grabbing a bowl and spoon, and screwing off the top, I poured in plenty for her. She stayed curled up on my back, resting her head against the back of mine.
I walked over to the couch, sitting down with her. She nested herself into my lap, staying as close as she could. I gently ran a hoof over her head as she used her blue magic to scoop applesauce into her mouth with the spoon. “What were you workin’ on, Pa?”
“Just some lab work, sweetie. Don’ worry yerself none with it. Too… stressful fer a sweet little filly like you.” I turned on the TV, flipping to whatever channel had cartoons on at the time. However, almost as soon as I did, I heard the phone ring on the wall. Grumbling, I shook my head, slowly getting up. “Ah’m gonna take this call, ahright lovebug? Ah’ll be back soon as Ah can be.” Getting up, I gave Minnie a peck on one of her cheeks, making my way over to the phone. Standing on my hind legs, I leaned on the wall, putting the phone to my ear and crossing my other foreleg across my chest. “Who is this? Why’re y’all callin’ me so darn early in the mornin’?”
“Tex?” It was my coworker Rum Cherry Raze. A kirin. I recognized her voice anywhere. “Where are you right now?”
“Ah’m home wit Marsh. Why?” I replied.
“Get Minnie and get over here now.” Rum continued.
Scoffing, I shook my head, “Y’gonna say why or are ya just gonna be all mysterious about it?”
Then, suddenly I heard Minnie’s voice from around the corner, back in the living room. “Papa! The first sun of winter! Look!”
Checking the time, I realized it was still thirty minutes before the sun should even create the slightest light in the sky. Feeling my heart drop to my stomach, I spoke into the phone. “I’ll call you back, Rum.”
“No! Tex you need to-!” I hung up, making my way over to Minnie, who stood in front of the window facing the city.
She stood in sheer horror, watching as a blinding light pierced the night sky. Green energy suddenly fills the horizon, forming into a vicious orb, pluming into a mushroom cloud. “That’s… not the sun…”
I felt every fiber of my being screaming with fear. My ears folded back against my head as the whole world fell silent. Running over and scooping Minnie up, I threw her onto my back, sprinting straight for the door. She was yelling, but I couldn’t hear what. Terror possessed every nerve in my body. I had to get her to safety. No matter the cost. This was the end of Equestria as I had known it. This was armageddon. This was the beginning of a long, and terrible storm.

NBC will leverage NDI, HDR, ST 2110 and REMI workflows for 2024 Olympi - Videoguys
New Post has been published on https://thedigitalinsider.com/nbc-will-leverage-ndi-hdr-st-2110-and-remi-workflows-for-2024-olympi-videoguys/
NBC will leverage NDI, HDR, ST 2110 and REMI workflows for 2024 Olympi - Videoguys
Tumblr media
Bob Kovacs, former Technology Editor for TV Tech recently wrote an article for TV Technology “NBC Rises to the Tech Challenges of the 2024 Olympics.” Kovacs highlights how NBC will leverage NDI, HDR, ST 2110 and REMI workflows to broadcast the 2024 Olympics.
According to Darryl Jefferson, senior vice president of engineering and technology for NBC Olympics and Sports, NBC, the official U.S. broadcaster for the Olympic games has been working for almost two years in both Paris & the NBC Sports Hub in Stamford, Connecticut to ensure a broadcast that is swifter, higher and stronger.
This will be Jefferson’s first games as head of NBC Olympics’ tech operations. Jefferson has been with NBC Olympics since 2008 in Post Production and Asset Management teams.
“We started design and peer review about 20 months ago, with build, configure and test in our integration facility. We tested video paths, workflows, delivery mechanisms and failure modes all before items shipped out. We ship gear mostly pre-configured, pre-installed, and pre-tested, for both speed of deployment and for peace of mind.” Darryl Jefferson
The Broadcast is going to be complex, with numerous venues and the the need to integrate feeds from the primary Olympics video system. There are a lot of moving parts. Their goal is for viewers to experience a seamless broadcast. So seamless viewers won’t notice that many of the on-air talent is in Stamford, while the bustle is happening in Paris.
“The biggest leap is splitting large parts of our team between Paris and Stamford. Transporting large quantities of cameras, effects gear and studios full of equipment all the way home has historically not been financially viable. In some cases, the latency was unacceptable. That split approach allows us to cover more sports with fewer total people traveling than just a few Games ago.” Darryl Jefferson

NBC Is prepared to give the viewers a seamless broadcast with the revolution in connectivity and capability.
“With new tools, robust networks, capacity with cloud infrastructure, and the ability to approach signal transport differently, there exists a whole host of new options today” Darryl Jefferson
The Oylmpics will be broadcasted in 4K/HDR and 5.1.4 immersive audio. Jefferson says “It may be a tie between getting HDR support everywhere we may need it, and the large cut over to support IP in many places. Although we’ve had important experience with both, there exist so many devices, solutions, vendors and third parties that do not support wide color gamut today, or equipment through which color information doesn’t survive.”
One of NBC’s most basic decisions assembling a system of this size is where to use the SMPTE ST 2110 IP video standard and where to use the older SMPTE SDI standard. “We have a healthy mixture of both, but are about 60% ST 2110 handoff, venue and core orchestration,” Jefferson said. “In some cases, we support both formats within a Tech Center, or gateway translation to convert one to the other. Fortunately, we have spent the last few Games [since Tokyo] making the transition over time, and certainly learning all the lessons.”
In addition to SDI and ST 2110, NBC is also using some NDI. “We are using NDI in some areas, specifically NDI v6, with support of HDR and enhanced audio,” Jefferson said.
“We have a whole trove of new technology, some of which is well behind the camera [ST 2110 and Dante, HDR and ATMOS everywhere], new encoding mezzanine formats, and also a good deal of enhancements to bring viewers further behind the scenes. Backstage cameras, audio from coaches, cameras in the stands with families, even biometrics on family and coaches. The goal of all this technology is to bring more elements of storytelling around each athlete’s journey.” Darryl Jefferson

The First Fitting
The walls of the chamber gleamed antiseptically white, the kind of clean that makes you feel dirty just by stepping inside. I was 80LKU now—my old name, overwritten by the ID tattooed onto my chest in stark, inky permanence. I stood there, nude except for the Standard Chastity/Underwear/Diaper Component hugging my groin.
The door behind me sealed with a hiss, and I took a deep breath. The air was cool and sterile, tinged with the faint scent of industrial lubricants. I had been prepped for this moment, but nothing could fully prepare you for the reality of the Automated Armor Suit Fitting System.
"Welcome, Cadet 80LKU," the chamber's AI voice intoned. "Please remain still."
A mechanical arm descended from the ceiling, a sleek, articulated thing with a cold, metallic grip. It latched onto my back, and I felt a shiver of helplessness as it clicked into place. The docking mechanism held me firm, a steel embrace that left no room for resistance.
Tumblr media
I reminded myself that this was just the beginning. I had to adapt or be adapted.
A gripper descended and clasped around my shaved head, sending a shiver down my spine. I felt a cold sensation as a neural blocker activated, and suddenly, control over my limbs slipped away. My body became stiff, a marionette controlled by the chamber.
The robotic servo arms came next. They moved with an eerie, almost organic fluidity, their joints whirring softly. They started with the boots, lifting my feet and sliding them into place with practiced precision. As the straps tightened around my ankles, another set of arms descended, fastening additional points of stabilization.
Tumblr media
The torso protector came next, encasing my chest and back in a rigid shell. It hugged my body, aligning itself perfectly with the contours the 3D scanners had mapped out. The sensation was like being swallowed by a mechanical beast, one piece at a time. The clicks of the components locking into place reverberated through my bones.
Hips and legs followed, each segment locking into place with a series of precise clicks. The arms were last, servo arms lifting and positioning the components with relentless efficiency. When the gauntlet-style gloves finally enclosed my hands, I felt like a puppet, strings pulled tight by the machinery. The sound of each segment securing into place was a mechanical symphony of finality.
The AI’s voice droned on, listing calibration checks and final adjustments. I tried to focus on the process, to absorb the technical details, but the psychological impact was undeniable. I was encased, trapped in a shell of metal and composites, my fate sealed by the cold logic of the system.
Tumblr media
"Final checks and adjustments in progress," the AI announced. I stood there, a living mannequin, as sensors and actuators fine-tuned my new exoskeleton. The biometric integration hummed to life, monitoring my vitals and feeding the data back into the system.
A wave of emotions crashed over me—helplessness, fear, and a strange sense of awe. This suit was my new reality, my second skin. The helplessness was a feature, not a bug; it was designed to break us down, to make us accept our place in the grand scheme.
Tumblr media
As the final fastening mechanisms clicked into place, I knew there was no turning back. The suit was part of me now, its weight a constant reminder of the path I had chosen—or, more accurately, the path that had been chosen for me.
“Integration successful. Cadet 80LKU, you are now operational.”
The docking arm released me, and I took my first step in the full-body armor. The suit moved with me, a seamless extension of my own movements. But I could feel the weight of the system, both physically and mentally. This was my new life—encased, controlled, conditioned.
Tumblr media
As I walked out of the chamber, I caught a glimpse of myself in the reflective surface of the wall. A faceless figure in black armor stared back at me, a new recruit ready to serve the Republic. And for the first time, I truly understood what it meant to adapt—or be adapted.

INTERNAL AFFAIRS INCIDENT REPORT
DRC Internal Affairs Division
Date: [REDACTED]
Subject: Internal Audit - Quota Breach - Case File [REDACTED]
To: Director [REDACTED]
From: Inspector [REDACTED]
I: Audit Trigger
This audit originated from an anomaly flagged by the Compound Oversight Unit following a routine cross-comparison of mortality curves, biometric telemetry, and average fetal volume expansion across paternity compounds in FEMA Zone 5. Paternity Compound 144, in particular, demonstrated a statistically aberrant rise in surrogate experience [REDACTED] collapse, a condition only observed in gestations over 18 fetuses. While the facility’s internal reports claimed average pregnancies between 8 and 11 embryos per surrogate, biometric logs suggested fetal counts ranging from 18 to 23 embryos per case.
Due to the severity of the physiological strain such numbers would imply—and the lack of official documentation acknowledging it—a Level 2 Integrity Audit was ordered. The Internal Affairs Division performed an unannounced sweep of all surrogate biometric records, insemination logs, and surveillance data from Cycles [REDACTED] to [REDACTED].
What followed revealed not only systemic concealment of lethal overloads but also willful obstruction motivated by personal psychological deviance.
II: Surveillance Analysis
Biometric data recovered from Wards 3B through 7E indicated that surrogates began exhibiting rapid and extreme abdominal distension by Day 11, surpassing known volumetric thresholds typically seen by Day 17. Skin tension diagnostics showed redlining stretch marks and dermal fissures in [REDACTED]% of all recorded subjects. In multiple cases, respiratory compression and full [REDACTED] subluxation—typically observed only after Day 30—were logged as early as Day 19.
“We knew something was off when they were too big to move before the second week. One of them just looked like that blueberry girl from Willy Wonka or some shit. But the logs said 14 embryos, so we assumed it was just edema.” - Employee GS-144-217
Footage recovered showed numerous surrogates experiencing aggressive fetal growth and abdominal distension, with growth rates in Ward 6C indicative of at least 23-25 embryonic masses. Two surrogates suffered multi-organ [REDACTED] before a team from the Compound Oversight Unit could intervene, though all fetuses were successfully delivered via cesarean.
“We knew something when we saw the guys from Ward 2. We were blimps compared to them, and they were twice as far along as us. I mean, I can literally see my belly growing!” Surrogate, later determined to be carrying quattuorvigintuplets (24)
Despite this, the internal logs submitted to the Archive Management Unit recorded all affected surrogates as having a “successful delivery with standard expiration.” The discrepancy was manually edited at terminal station 144-T12-OP47—registered to an Insemination Operations Unit employee named [REDACTED] (Employee ID IO-144-611).
III. Device Failure & Impact
Each MNAIS unit in Ward Blocks 3–7 had suffered [REDACTED] desynchronization following an outdated firmware push. Rather than delivering the standard 8-12-embryo load, units programming applied a multiplier to its quota and began injecting up to 24 fertilized embryos per cycle, with no error code generated.
Employee IO-144-611 discovered this failure within three days but refrained from submitting a maintenance report. He manually edited implantation records to match quota expectations, falsely logging a randomization formula (6–11 embryos per surrogate) across all documentation streams. Employee IO-144-611 then overrode the automatic alert system from the local Postpartum Command, which would ultimately log surrogates giving birth to higher fetal quotas than inseminated with.
His actions delayed DRC response for 41 days, during which:
42 surrogates suffered [REDACTED] rupture before Day 28, [REDACTED] overload, or uterine [REDACTED], necessitating emergency C-sections. No fetal fatalities.
17 surrogates expired mid-labor after undergoing compound [REDACTED] due to displaced [REDACTED], necessitating emergency C-sections. No fetal fatalities.
3 surrogates, against all medical prediction, reached Day 33 and birthed successfully, but ultimately expired post-extraction. No fetal fatalities.
26 surrogates still gestating, average 19 embryos per individual.
IV. Behavioral Profile – Employee IO-144-611
Subject: Employee IO-144-611 Tenure: [REDACTED] Position: Regional Implantation Supervisor Clearance Level: Tier II – Override Authorization Security Clearance: Revoked as of [REDACTED]
Following confrontation and seizure of his local system access logs, Employee IO-144-611 was detained and subjected to a Tier III Psychological Assessment. During this evaluation, the root of the concealment was uncovered.
Psychological Findings:
Employee IO-144-611 exhibited a previously undiagnosed paraphilic fixation classified under Government Code [REDACTED]: Macrophilia, a pathological sexual arousal in response to abnormally large bodies or bodily expansion.
Upon exposure to the visual data of overloaded surrogates—particularly those carrying between 19 and 23 fetuses—Employee IO-144-611 demonstrated elevated oxytocin and dopamine levels, a flushed dermal response, and sustained pupil dilation.
Under questioning, he confessed:
“I couldn’t report it. If I said anything, they’d shut it down, recalibrate the racks, lower the numbers again. You don’t understand. They were… monumental.”
He further admitted to deliberately withholding service requests for malfunctioning implantation equipment, specifically the Multi-Nozzle Accelerated Implantation System (MNAIS) units, which had developed a systemic fault causing them to implant +[REDACTED]% above calibrated embryo counts.
V: Displincary Response
1. Equipment
All MNAIS systems in Paternity Compound 144 were ordered offline for 24 hours.
Software rollback and integrity checks were completed under the supervision of IT Command.
Ward 3B was closed to all personnel below Grade-D rank, and affected surrogates were contained to minimize public awareness.
2. Actions
Psychological Services Command has formally reclassified [REDACTED] Employee IO-144-611 as Class-A Deviant – Mentally Compromised via Paraphilic Obstruction.
Archive Management Unit has censored relevant administrative records.
Public Affairs Division has disseminated a press release to DRC-approved news channels, citing [REDACTED] as the cause of the shutdown for Paternity Compound 144.
Facility Operations Command has transferred any personnel who raised professional or personal concerns about the citation.
[REDACTED] Employee IO-144-611 detained to Isolation Cell 6E.
3. Recommended Process Updates
Expand psychological screening to all Grade C employees and below.
Recommend quarterly psychological deviance evaluations of Grade B employees and below.
Implement full biometric auto-logging for all surrogate embryo counts—disable manual override across zones.
Closing Remarks
Employee IO-144-611's indulgence in personal gratification resulted in unsatisfactory delays to our facility's operation. Proper procedures have been implemented to prevent further disruptions and ensure that fetal quotas are adequately maintained.

Date: [REDACTED]
To: Deputy-Director [REDACTED], Security Office
From: Director [REDACTED]
Subject: Internal Audit - Quota Breach - Case File [REDACTED]
Deputy Director,
Following my review of the [REDACTED] file, I would like to register my formal dissatisfaction with how Inspector [REDACTED] handled this matter. While I acknowledge the necessity of enforcing procedural transparency, the inspector’s decision to escalate the MNAIS malfunction as a containment emergency rather than a potential breakthrough reveals a worrying lack of vision.
To put it plainly, the equipment failure at Paternity Compound 144 resulted in spontaneous fetal yields well above the current national minimums, with documented gestations ranging from 18 to 23 embryos—many of which progressed past Day 25 with surprisingly high internal cohesion and containment. Had Inspector [REDACTED] exercised creative initiative, the anomaly could have been reframed as a pilot overcapacity trial rather than triggering a full-blown mechanical audit and unnecessary decommissioning.
Such a rigid interpretation of oversight policy has compromised a unique opportunity for data extraction and jeopardized our ability to scale gestational loads in future cycles. This shortsighted compliance fanaticism is increasingly common in mid-tier personnel and must be corrected.
Accordingly, I recommend that Inspector [REDACTED] receive formal censure and retraining through the Training & Development Unit for failing to recognize the strategic potential embedded in abnormal conditions. Our agency requires flexibility under pressure, not reflexive alarmism.
On a separate but related note, I would like to approve the personnel reassignment request for Employee IO-144-611. Despite his classified psychological profile, his unique enthusiasm may prove operationally useful if adequately directed. I am authorizing his immediate transfer to Site [REDACTED], where he is to assume the role of Supervisory Insemination Officer. In the correct environment, they are an asset and IO-144-611’s tendencies are no longer a liability.
Please liaise with the Facility Director [REDACTED] at Site [REDACTED] to ensure the transfer.
This matter is now considered closed from my office.
Regards,
Director [REDACTED]

the origin of the supersuit.
Tumblr media
booster gold, aka. michael jon carter's history with the suit starts off back in his timeline, the 25th century. after the scandal that ended his football career michael sought out work as a janitor / security guard at the metropolis space museum after regaining some of that pride he had lost but also realising that there were no other prospects lined up for him. one night after lots of drinking and the desire to change the tracjectory towards where his life was heading, he stole a bunch of gear and took off for the past. the first suit, the mark 1 is still a mix of different tech that he acquired in the future.
materials.
the outer layers of a fabric that conceals the mechanical wirings inside consist of a sleek but blended element of a fine futuristic-leather-like-material that is form fitting while also not limited to a strategic metallic gold like armoured plating on areas of protection including the chest piece where his 'star' logo is positioned, his wrist gauntlets / gloves that are attached to the mounted blaster rays and leg areas. the boots, the collar in some designs are all made of that same fabric that additionally is lightweight, durable, and reflective in a subtle way. since setting up shop in modern day metropolis, goldstar inc. booster has brought on / invested in the best scientists / engineers possible to study the tech and create more modified and enhanced versions to accommodate to different situations whether that is pr events / formal or to just spring into the action on the go and depending on the threat, these modifications could be more armoured or more light. down below is the following / general additional tech in booster’s ensemble:
the power suit.
the overall power-suit that booster gold wears is not only a fashion choice, but is filled with advanced technological advancements that also serve as an overall power supply to all the other tech and wiring connected to it's mainframe. beneath all the padded leather and armoured plating, the suit also allows booster to have super strength and rapid manoeuvring.
booster shots.
nicknamed 'booster shots' these wrist-mounted blaster rays are always used as pure offense. each wristband has the capabilities of firing out directed energy rays at the push of a button / lever type thing that is concealed beneath booster's gloves. the force of the blasts also can be adjusted to either simply stun opponents or or create actual destructive blasts. unless it's called upon in a moment of need, booster's default settings are always set to stun mode. rarely ever will he use the destructive mechanisms unless he really needs to take on big threats because the wrist blasters take the most strain on the overall power supply booster relies on to power his entire suit’s system.
vision goggles / visor / enhanced sunglasses.
one of the most important pieces of tech in booster's ensemble is his eye vison goggles, later remodified with another design in the form of sunglasses to blend in with a more modernistic / casual setting. these goggles function as IR sensors that allow him to do things like detect body heat, night vision, facial recognition / biometric tracking, comms and hacking integration, vital signs monitoring, environmental hazards and microscopic vision.
legion flight ring.
one of booster's favourite pieces of tech is his legion flight ring, originally designed by the legionnaire brainiac 5, it harnesses an alien-like metal to provide the one who wears with it with the power of flight. it took a little tinkering around and getting used to at first but since becoming acquainted with it, booster has discovered that the wearer does not need to be actually wearing it rather than just have it be in close proximity but it's not something that booster risks personally, especially if he might need it's aid in unexpected places. the ring has also been able to help booster translate many different languages on earth, and regions within the vicinity of space / beyond.
thrusters attached to boots.
probably the most 'superficial' aspect that has been implemented into his ensemble since the legion ring carries all the weight and that is the thrusters attached to booster’s boots. booster likes to personally activate them when he's showing off some big feats in town square or he's putting on some kind of a show for his audience. and even on personalised assignments, he just thinks it's one of those things that looks cool and gives his overall look a little flair. their only good use is that they help to break a fall by allowing some positioning and manoeuvring. this is one of the main upgrades the engineers in-house took a liberty in adding additionally.
headset / communications system hidden inside cowl or in the form of a headset earpiece.
this one isn't so far and ground-breaking in technological advancements but more or less a simple communications device that allows booster to communicate with skeets or anyone that needs to reach him on the fly.
force field belt.
specifically in the original suit's design, one of the many items michael jon carter stole was a force-field belt originally belonging to the legion of superheroes. since becoming acquainted with it, it has since been integrated into the suit's system making it's usage rather obsolete but it is able to generate force fields capable of deflecting missile blasts or even preventing oxygen-loss in the vacuum of space.
other versions / enhancements.
public relations suit.
Tumblr media
this is version of the suit is purely reserved for pr events because it sheds away a lot of the technology required from his main suit. it's practically just made of regular leather fabrics with minimal wiring on the inside. booster is still not useless in his suit, it has built in tech like his booster shots if he needs to stun any opponents / bad guys. the main noticeable differences of this suit really include shedding off the traditional cowl and goggle look, opting for more traditional sunglasses which is the only piece of tech that comes with the suit that still retains all the features that would featured in the goggles only with modifications in materials engineers at goldstar inc. had to accommodate to. for this look in particular, booster really wanted the ensemble to look more 'sporty' as a callback to his football days hence why it has a nascar-like design. it's intention is to be more modernistic to appeal to a more zestful audience. booster has done cover shoots, attended talk-show interviews in this suit and has attended pr events where he's more representative for his sponsors as a mascot as opposed to needing to be there with a save. this suit is filled to the brim with sponsor patches / logos.
mark i.v2 suit.
Tumblr media
this reinvented take on the original mark 1 armour is identical to booster's original suit. it's changes are more cosmetic rather than being functional. one of the major changes includes that instead of opting for an all gold look for the gloves, they are now blue with armoured wrist gauntlets now added additionally that hold the trigger buttons to activate his booster shots. the biggest functional difference to this suit is that it's sleek design makes it less sturdy than the original and far more easier to move in.
additional pieces / the booster jacket.
Tumblr media
the jacket is where things start to become prominently more about aesthetics. it's tailored to look like an ordinary leather jacket only with the blue and gold colours on standby. it has the patterns you could find on the ordinary booster ensemble and is once again more or less worn for more colder weather or just to simply look good at public relation events when the nascar ensemble becomes too much of a drag to put on. booster loves this jacket, he makes sure it's always taken in to a professional cleaner that checks for deep stains, or if the lining or the zippers need repairs.
the cape.
Tumblr media
the cape was something that came and went rather swiftly, booster's audience instantly caught onto it as a cliché and according to skeets, his faithful automaton, his approval rate took a massive dive. anyway, he has not ever worn the cape again but sometimes when he's feeling frisky, he might try it on for size behind closed doors.

Hostile Conditioning Thresholds: Displays lower resistance to certain ultrasonic frequencies used in anti-animal deterrents.
Emotional Dysregulation Triggers: Strong emotional stimuli related to past trauma (see Incident #030) can disrupt task focus and cause aggression or withdrawal.
Operational Limitation Post-Morphogenic Exposure Risk Evaluation Summary: Shepherd undergoes full cellular deconstruction and reformation during morphogenic transitions between human and caniform states. Upon reversion to human form, all integrated clothing, tactical equipment, and external gear are nullified by the biological transmutation process. The subject re-emerges nude, without protective coverage or field-ready attire.
Operational Risks Identified:
Environmental Exposure: Susceptibility to hypothermia, chemical agents, or abrasions in uncontrolled terrain.
Tactical Vulnerability: Immediate post-shift incapacity to engage, defend, or retreat due to lack of armor or armament.
Unit Disruption: Potential for distraction, morale disruption, or psychological discomfort among human personnel.
Public Exposure Risk: In civilian-adjacent operations, post-shift emergence could compromise mission secrecy and provoke incident escalation.
Discretion Protocol: Visual engagement of Shepherd during reversion is to be limited. Non-essential visual contact is to be restricted.
Additional Notes: The issue remains physiological and currently unresolvable via augmentation without compromising morphogenic fluidity. A prosthetic gear-retention solution is under review but deemed non-viable in rapid-shift scenarios as of the latest R&D cycle.
SECTION VII: INCIDENT LOG EXCERPTS
Incident #030 – Exposure to Stimulus ("Whistle Echo Variant") Date: 14 Jan 2023 Outcome: Temporary feral lock lasting 5h17m. Operative displayed territorial aggression. No operatives injured. Induced via unknown high-frequency pattern in proximity mine.
Incident #091 – Tactical Disengagement (Morocco Urban Cleft) Date: 26 Sep 2024 Outcome: Subject entered canine form mid-assault and failed to re-establish identity for 3.4 hours. Autonomous escape and later regrouping suggest partial operational memory retention. Collar data lost in transit.
Incident #117 – Forced Capture Test Date: 09 Feb 2025 Outcome: Subject resisted physical interrogation for 72 hours. Under simulated neural interrogation, subject's memory nodes shifted erratically, preventing clean data extraction.
PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFILE [CONFIDENTIAL – REDACTED]
Diagnosed with Controlled Identity Dissociation due to dual consciousness bleed Behavioral Overlay: Canine Imprinting ResidualsCompulsion: Cataloging animal trauma in encrypted field logs Displays signs of interspecies empathy inversion: higher emotional response to canines than humans Regular debriefings required post-shift to confirm cognitive cohesion Trust rating: Satisfactory (fluctuating) Loyalty tier: ██ (Observed Deviations) Note: Obedience - Absolute.
Watchlist Tag: "If he breaks, do not attempt containment. End him."
Behavioral Note (per Division Psych Lead): “If Shepherd is lost to his canine identity mid-field, he becomes invisible—but also irretrievable. We don’t track him when he's in that state. We observe. From afar.”

LIMITATIONS
Canine Phenotypic Shift Cognitive Decline: Upon full transformation into canine morphology, higher-order executive functions and complex tactical reasoning are significantly impaired, resulting in reliance on instinctual behaviors that may hinder mission-specific objectives.
Verbal Communication Restriction: In canine form, expressive communication is limited to nonverbal signaling and basic command comprehension, thereby reducing effective real-time coordination with human operatives. To mitigate this, a custom-engineered neural-linked collar—designated Vox-Halo Unit 7—has been implemented.
Sensory Modality Vulnerability: Exposure to extreme environmental factors such as hyperthermia or toxic chemical agents attenuates olfactory and other heightened sensory functions, diminishing tracking and detection capacity.
Physical Trauma Susceptibility: Despite augmented regenerative and endurance capabilities, Shepherd remains vulnerable to high-impact ballistic trauma and sustained blunt force injuries, which transiently impair operational effectiveness.
Engagement Range Limitation: Combat proficiency is primarily restricted to close-quarters; proficiency with ranged weaponry is suboptimal, necessitating support elements for medium to long-range threat neutralization.
Cognitive-Identity Disassociation: Prolonged duration in canine form or repeated canine-hominid identity shifts may precipitate episodes of cognitive disorientation or temporary loss of self-awareness, compromising operational reliability.
Cybernetic Maintenance Dependency: Enhanced physical and sensory augmentations require scheduled recalibration and maintenance; operational degradation occurs in the absence of routine servicing or if systems are compromised.
Infiltration Countermeasure Sensitivity: Although adept in unconventional infiltration, Shepherd’s biological and sensory enhancements are susceptible to detection by advanced biometric and bio-signature surveillance technologies.
Manual Dexterity Deficiency: The canine anatomical form imposes significant limitations on fine motor skills, restricting capability for complex tool manipulation, technical sabotage, or field repairs.
Psychological Stress Response: Exposure to high-stress combat environments or trauma-associated stimuli can induce atypical behavioral responses, including heightened aggression or withdrawal, necessitating ongoing psychological evaluation and support.

🗂️ MISSION LOGS – CLASSIFIED SLTH OPS
MISSION: MOTHER TONGUE Location: Novosibirsk Oblast, Russian Federation Date: ██/██/20██ Objective: Infiltrate abandoned research site formerly operated under Soviet Directive Красный Глотка ("Red Throat"). Extract cognitive imprint data from canine-based neural wetware prototypes. Operative Assigned: Agent SHEPHERD (solo, Sloth insertion) Status: ✅ OBJECTIVE RECOVERED – SITE COMPROMISED Casualties: 3 (hostiles), 12 (canine test subjects) Post-Op Psychological Score: Borderline-Flagged (Tier 2 Dissociation Signs Present)
Extracted Log [REDACTED]:
“Site was frozen beneath six meters of ice and silence. It didn’t feel abandoned. The dogs were still there—wired, suspended. No sedation. Some were still blinking. They kept looking toward the corner of the room… as if something was there. I didn't see it. But I heard it. A sound like breathing through water.”
“Data was stored in bone. Implanted microchips behind the orbital ridge—wetware designed to carry imprint memories. They weren’t studying obedience. They were recording language. The dogs were speaking… but not with mouths. With static.”
“I euthanized the subjects. Quick. Clean. I kept one piece. Just one skull. It still hums when I touch it.”
RED FLAG: Agent extracted unauthorized relic (biological remains) against directive. Post-Mission Directive: Agent under Tier-1 Cognitive Watch for residual imprint bleed. Subject claims no memory of return flight or initial post-op debrief.
Internal Note [Director ███████]:
“We told him to extract code. He brought back ghosts.”
MISSION: GLASS PRAYER
Location: Haifa, Israel Date: ██/██/20██ Objective: Embedded as stray for 6 days inside biotech security compound. Recover prototype genetic stabilizer. Status: ✅ RECOVERED Anomalies: Subject remained in canine form for 142 consecutive hours. No reversion recorded.
Extracted Log [REDACTED]:
“…man in the courtyard fed me each morning. Called me 'Kelev.' Didn’t know I understood. He talked about his daughter. Told me secrets. Where the vault was. What he’d buried. Day six, I took the drive from his pocket. He cried when I ran. I didn’t look back. The leash tightens when they trust you.”
MISSION: REBIRTH
Location: [REDACTED] Date: ██/██/20██ Objective: ████████ Status: ██ Notes: Operation during which subject’s shifter state first manifested. Incident classified under Pandora Directive X/13. Only surviving operative. No visual data recovered. All environmental surveillance “glitched.”
Post-Op Incident Report:
“…I was watching Juno die and I wasn’t in my body. I felt the hair before I saw it. I heard something scream inside my head—my voice, but not. I shifted for the first time. And I didn’t come back for three days.”
Outcome: Full biogenic transition. Induction into Pandora Gluttony Division.
