Whether the Koklass Pheasant appears in dreams, visions, waking life or synchronicities, it is a sign and message that you’re getting ready to be crowned with success. The world will become your oyster. It will feel like you’re on top of the world. The past will be a distant memory and what has made you insecure will be beneath you.

As it pertains to people who are entering your life or people who have wronged you, you are in a season where God’s standard for you is of low tolerance. NO one will be able to access you without honoring you. As for all of them….Until they do right by you, everything they even think about is going to fail. And by the time they want to do right, you may not even want them for them to get the opportunity to be good after how they treated you. Their loss, and karmic gain, not yours. Pay attention to how you are treated, and know that there’s a higher power seeing things through.

An obstacle was sent to test you, you have passed! And you can now move ahead. The gate keepers have approved you! 

You are NOT AI, YOU ARE NOT TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, AND NO ONE NOR THEIR MOTHER, is about to play about you. God is fighting the battle. And you have the victory.  Sometimes the devil is owed a refund. And this prophecy is a reminder that what you think you lost in the past was God's will. You were just giving the devil back what he gave you, so that you can get what God has for you.  Higher and bigger is on the way. Let them have it back. This is in relation to someone rescinding on their own word or not keeping promises or contractual agreements. Give the devil what's owed to him. God has greater for you. Don't fret. 

Koklass Pheasant is also a sign and message of as above, so below. What others do to you, Divine will do to them 10X worst or better. It also symbolizes a new level of confidence. Koklass Pheasant that you don’t have to do anything in this season that is outside of your character. You’re in a season of only being able to do good. Get ready, as the best is already unfolding.

IN THE BLUE CORNER, hailing from your local park, we have the feathered fighter, the flying phenomenon, the mourning dove!

the mourning dove may be mourning, but it's ready to bring the pain to any opponent that steps into the ring. one of the most abundant birds in north america, this opponent is named after its doleful, unassuming call, a series of soft coos. this bird may be gentle, but don't let its soft demeanor fool you. this bird is a fighter!

IN THE RED CORNER, we have the king of the ring, the white crowned sparrow!

with its striking black and white head and sweet melodic calls, this opponent is truly a sight to behold. but this bird is here to show it's not just a pretty face. it's not just here to compete, it's here to win.

I’ve had this piece in my head (and on random post-it notes) since 2020-2021. It’s nice to finally put it to paper, or to procreate I guess. It’s not quite how I pictured it, but it’s where I’m at now skill-wise.

The Crane Wives are one of my favorite bands, and have been a huge inspiration in all of my creative pursuits, whether that be art or writing. Their music really speaks to me.

It was interesting reading up on the meaning behind the band name! I wasn’t aware of the myth of the crane wife before, it was really interesting reading up on it, and it helped me figure out exactly which bird to draw. If you’re not familiar with it and like mythology, I definitely recommend looking it up!

These guys (call them Kurotrice) are Tsourai we recently made for our own lore (Shang-La. you can check it out, we have a whole game about that world). And Tsouray are, basically, an immortail beings.

The idea for these guys came from the classic cockatrices (shoutout to Dungeon Meshi for reminding me of these awesome beings!). You know, the ones with a bird's body and a snake tail? Well, our new Tsourai have a similar vibe: bird-like bodies and a snake tail with its own mind and some seriously venomous fangs. The feathers on their tails give a nod to another mythical creature, the Quetzalcoatl.

What's really cool is that all Kurotrices have sharp teeth, even if they look like cute parrots or hummingbirds at first glance. The clan of these creatures is located in Ayelahai, so the outfits for them must be Japanese/Korean/Chinese like.
