theres a certain scene in AA1-3 where Maya calls Phoenix the Next Evil Magistrate and it makes me wonder of a possibility of Maya being a controversial fanfic author (after the first game) that specialize in writing Steel Samurai / Evil Magistrate with the Magistrate being relentless and guided by luck, a not-so-evil character but one who lacked guidance and badly seen by a corrupt Neo Tokyo, while the Steel Samurai is the one who os not only misguidedas well but blind to his surroundings and controlled by strings.

Of course they are Edgeworth's favorites, but he would not admit it so easily. Much less when his ideal of Justice was broken and repaired by That Man

Public personas: Fluke is beloved in the industry - serious, professional, and a brilliant actor. He’s been slaying since 2013 (in some roles… literally). Ohm is deadpan, monosyllabic, occasionally awkward, with a weird sense of humor. Fluke is out and savvy about queer stuff. Ohm is rather clueless, but will follow Fluke’s lead and will occasionally swing for the fences with a groan-worthy pun. Very respectful phi/nong with occasional pet names.

Linguistic Note: Fluke is older than Ohm but refers to him as P'Ohm and Ohm usually uses a nickname or affectionate diminutive (like nu) on Fluke. They decided this early on in their relationship as actors promoting UWMA. But it seems genuine to their dynamic and friendship. 

Ship status: Gently sailing along. 

Actor relationship: Friendly. Fluke is a bit of a clumsy bunny and Ohm keeps a careful eye on him. Despite the fact that Fluke is older Ohm looks after Fluke like good phi. They are both pretty reserved and private. They are kind to each other, promo when they need to, but make no effort to feed shippers.

Other: Ohm also does horror and various straight roles. Fluke has a new BL projects in the works for 2023 not partnering with Ohm. 

Things you might want to know: Ohm modeled before acting, and he was in Saneha Stories 3: Saneha Maya. Fluke has been in a ton of stuff, mostly BL, opposite various other actors for many years. Fluke is one of the only actors I know of that the industry loves so much even GMMTV has let him cross the great divide and appear in a one of their projects (Blacklist).

Random trivia: The project that launched Fluke (Green Fictions) also launched Fiat (SOTUS S, My Gear Your Gown, Wish Me Luck) and Pluem (My Dear Loser’s InnSun).

Bad Lawyer & Crazy Dog, an unconventional love story

JUST FINISHED THE LAST EPISODE OF LAWS OF ATTRACTION!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Okay this is your HUGE spoiler warning because I have so many thoughts and my love for this show knows no bounds but I don't wanna take away from the magic of living it through on your own so go watch it!!!

I was so tempted to take away points for that SILLY GUITAR AND THE SINGING 😭🤣 but it's fine they can't help that they're in love dhhxhdj

So, currently writing this at midnight just after 2/9/2023 which was Tinn and Charn's wedding day!!!!!!! These two goofs have come so far and yeah, couldn't be happier for them 🫶

I took a pause in the middle of the episode to collate my thoughts and here was the list I made about the first half:

1. the mma boxing unconventional fight between tinn and nawin, it was giving 'youtube boxing: worst bits!' but it made me laugh so its fine 😭

2. thee having no one truly there for him except tan - his fellow bodyguards didn't even back him, meaning ever since he started working for tan's family he truly has known no one who cares and loves him deeply which 🥹😭 how did he manage to stay so kind through all that

3. thattep that psychopath.

4. nawin being the best character ever

5. how similar nawin and charn are (one just has a few dozen more braincells than the other

6. how charn planned that entire plot knowing the risks not only to his physical self but knowing he could be risking his entire career but he's ready to do that as we saw when thattep called him to prison 🤧👏

7. the one guy that said you dropped the soap in the prison showers 🥲

8. tan using his annoyingness to his advantage and celebrating being banned from an airline - the most tan thing to do tbh

9. thee and tinn link up AGAIN!!!

10. the wedding talk made me emosh.. the entire proposal (lets ignore the singing but even that wouldnt wipe the huge grin off my face as i was watching it) i love the storyline of the song though (hats off to that tumblr user who explained the story behind the song, this was perfect

11. emotional during the seeking of blessings from charn's mum

12. grandma is a gem 💯

13. maya and rose doing so much to help the people they love - they truly are the MVPs

14. tongkhao's dream living on 🥹 all she wanted on Tinn's birthday was for him to be happy and start a family with someone he loves, and he did it 🥹😭🤧

Also, completely ignore the fact that I skimmed over the whole exposing scene because it was decent but I knew, I just knew Charn wasn't gonna die today and a bullet wouldn't be the thing that ended him so IM GLAD I WAS RIGHT 😭

The wedding! OH THE WEDDING 🥹👏 It was beautiful, just everyone who loves them there and present in form or in spirit - seeing the dolls and knowing Tonkhao was there just 🥹 maybe I'm just an emotional wreck but this episode really got me in my feels

I did laugh my butt off when they were taking wedding photos because why so stiff 😭🤣 It served prom in a nice way WHICH IS FINE it was just looking a bit awkward and hence it was funny 🤭

Also I could write entire essays about Tan's storyline but the fact that he never held any resentment for his dad even after all of THAT is just astounding, and it highlighted how even though Thee and Tan are very different, down to their core values, they're the same which is why they're perfect for each other

Speaking of perfect for each other, seeing Rose and Maya get engaged!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHH I WAS SO HAPPY FOR THEMM

When Tinn said 'one day' concerning the conversation about the legality of same sex marriage in Thailand, I got in my feels again as you can probably gather is a common theme here, and I realised how much good shows like this promote.. and yeah I won't waffle on too much about that but it was really powerful 🥹

All in all, if we learnt anything from Laws of Attraction, I'd comfortably say it would be... how to say doll in Thai 🤣 (WHAT? It sounds so amazing! tuktā (pronounced too-ka-ta), it's a much better word!)

No, but seriously, what a show, I'd definitely recommend watching it and I hope, whoever is still reading my midnight rambles, enjoys it as much as I did 🫰

Charn and Tinn got their happy ending and a ceremony to celebrate their love.

However these two beauties were support characters and ladies in love.

I came to know these two in roles for GMMTV one played non-binary in the phenomenon series WARP EFFECT which celebrated all sexualities and identities. The other played the mother of one of my faves PHUWIN TANGSAKYUEN in NEVER LET ME GO.

Now as a happy couple in LAWS OF ATTRACTION. it's their GL couple Rose (RASEE WACHARAPOLMEK aka ORGAN)and Maya (PAVIDA MORIGGI aka SILVY)

Twelve Thoughts About Laws of Attraction

 

These people brutally and bloodily killed a kid and a dog in the first 3 episodes...damn! And look, I love a hot, service top bodyguard and his bratty misunderstood charge story as much as the next person but Tan? Had a dog killed so, he’s not getting that much sympathy from me here. 

Maya and Rose are so hot I want to cry. The very specific vibes they are giving, Maya -Pink and Rose -Gemma Atherton in St Trinians, push all my buttons. Sorry Charn and Tinn but every time they are on the screen my brain melts and I don’t know what else is happening. 

Charn needs to be on Game of Thrones, House of Cards, or Succession(I have watched none of these shows but I assume he would fit right in)something fitting his wicked grin and scheming soul. Like the show tells me he was a sweet and naïve do-gooder until the big bad thing happened, but that was clearly his good twin who died in the woods. His mother might be ashamed but Jimmy Ford would buy him an ice cream. (Found out his nickname is Chaos Gremlin and I can’t think of anything more suitable than that.)

The shirt game in this series is fire.

Also fire? The chemistry. 4A fire. Like I get now why people are obsessed with acting pairs(I hate the toxicity involved but I get the love). It’s like fanfic. I would watch these two as a couple in a 100 different a/u stories as long as Rose and Maya (and Nawin) were along for the ride.  

Between this and The Sign, I realized that every story needs a grandmother(or more than one) to tell these characters to get their ish together. KP desperately needed a grandmother. 

Pretty predictable plot (elevated way, way up by the performances) and toooooo many flashbacks. Seriously, please stop with the flashbacks, especially since they are mostly Charn’s dead mother or Tinn’s dead niece. Be more depressing, I dare you.  (I would pay good money to see Nawin meeting completely feral Charn for the first time and falling head over heels though --that’s  the flashback we need folks)

Rich kids with crappy parents need to learn how to hustle and embezzle money from them so they can get gone. Seriously, just buy a ton of jewelry and designer clothes and resell it all. Will they even notice? I’m guessing not. 

Look, I know the Senator is evil like the fru -ets of the devil but he reminds me of a young Temuera Morrison, so he’s also kind of hot? 

 I just really want a KP/LOA crossover where Charn and Vegas have a wardrobe and smirk off competition and Nawin brings all the violent himbo energy to visit the Threepanyakuls -- especially Tankhun. 

The goons did not sign up for all this relationship drama.

Okay, but I need a new Leverage international team with Charn, Rose, Maya, Tin, Thee, and Nawin. 

Bonus -genuine kudos to them for not going the “Charn is a completely redeemed angel now ” route and for not making that something that was required for Charn and Tin to work as a couple. Tin fell in love with chaos gremlin Charn, not the one he was before.

there’s something about an art style that appears to break a lot of rules, yet still has a final result so appealing, that I just always love.

I’m not really sure how to articulate exactly what I mean, because to call it “bad” in any way would be a huge disservice to the artists who honed their skills enough in order make it visually appealing, and be capable of comfortably stylising their work. and it’s not really deceptively-simplistic either, like when something is cartoonified or has a “naive” quality. maybe it has airbrushed pillow-shading achieved with the dodge and burn tools, or the proportions are actually a bit wack if you look at them for too long, but none of that matters because it looks Good.

I think when there’s a lot of media out there with largely interchangeable art styles  - and I’m not talking about “booo calarts” criticism, I mean more like game apps and mediocre cartoons with shiny, over-sanitised, over-rendered generic samefaced casts that are objectively well-drawn pieces, but completely lack any character - that slightly amateurish charm really adds a lot.

I am very lucky to have Phoenix PlushWright in my life. He's in good condition with tags and is very cute. Idk y him not having hands weird me out tho. The scoundrel was so hard to find and get without a mortgage.

So ofc i did the only logical thing to do next

Get him some gay manga. Good gay manga. Plz go read Last Gender, vol 2 is out Jan. 10.

I ofc have more gay manga, but I'll wait until i get new gay manga.

Maybe be deranged and make a whole selection during pride month, June.
