Edelgards legacy in the fandom
Since people are bringing up post launch Engage (looking at you Raxistachio) not creating much buzz whilst in comparison to Three Houses which is only kept alive by the Edelgard discourse it is time to talk about Edelgard's legacy.
Edelgard's legacy is not looked at fondly she isn't a famous character she is an infamous character that has created the worst discourse in the entire fandom and likely no future games will ever be able to overcome the toxic shithole that is Edelgard discourse.
Edelgard will not be remembered for her character, her route it anything she will just be remembered as the character that created the worst discourse in Fire Emblem history.

Headcanons about XVI (Lotta spoilers)
Personal headcanons about XVI will be below the cut cause of length and spoilers.
The first person that Ultima used as a puppet was none other than Anabella. Despite all her concern for Joshua and relative lack of concern for Clive, Anabella didn’t bother to ensure whether or not Joshua was alive. Joshua’s body was probably buried underneath the rubble, and he was presumed dead. Clive was only noticed because he was out in the open. There was no shortage of ways to get Branded Soldiers, so there wasn’t a particular need for Anabella to let Clive live, but Ultima ensured that Mythos survived.
The connection between Anabella and Ultima would also explain the Masked Man’s appearance at Phoenix Gate during Clive’s initial awakening. The Masked Man is assumed to be Sleipnir, someone that is capable of moving around swiftly without drawing suspicion to their absence elsewhere. Cid probably served with Waloed during this time.
Ironically, there is a point of similarity between all the dominants. They are all beings of remarkably strong will, though their goals differ. Joshua and Clive have the strongest wills, which is why they are the two fires that are the cornerstone, but Clive’s time as Joshua’s first shield makes his will stronger, which is why he is Ifrti’s Dominant.
Clive is able to absorb the eikon from the other dominants when their wills are weak enough. Normally, a dominant is fiercely opposed to surrending their Eikon. However, when a Dominant’s will is broken, normally associated with a feeling of weakness that can be impressed or generated, then the Eikon can be withdrawn from them.
It is assumed that Ultima can decide who will become a dominant. This is because the Eikons are all seen looking at Ultima, so he is of a higher power than the Eikons. Knowing that he will want as many Eikons as possible to ensure that Mythos will have as much power as possible. Therefore, Leviathan’s dominant is somewhere.
While Ultima can choose who will be a dominant, he cannot keep track of where those dominants all are. This is presented when the masked man says ‘We have found you.’ For Leviathan, it would make sense that a group that is mostly unknown could hold the Dominant of Leviathan and Ultima wouldn’t be any the wiser.
While Jote is my initial decision of the last Dominant, Mid is actually my second choice. Both are strong-willed and are not in the place where they are thought to be. Expecting that Mid may have been sent to Kanver while Cid was with Waloed, would make Ultima aware through Barnabas, which is why I believe it’s Jote.

Dropping the stylized Nil letter format just for muses he hasn't properly met in TOA yet (emphasis on yet) so I can speak more objectively and succinctly without overstepping. Also because his opinion of Ivy is interesting to analyze :')
Out of all the alternate Elyos royals Rafal has a particular redemptive interest in Ivy. He specifically cites her to be the first lord he turned into Corrupted and after that action no doubt the rest of the dominoes fell into place.
In many ways I see her being his 'first sin' and the gateway leading into bigger ambitions during his heyday as Nil. That special distinction made her a prime target for his guilt when they reconvened as Rafal and present Elyos Ivy. I imagine that being a surviving case for him and TOA Ivy as well.
The guilt still exists in any scenario, but assuming their support chain has happened, Rafal's opinion of Ivy is more positive. Much friendlier. He sees her to be a pleasant and levelheaded acquaintance. Their rapport not only humanized his original Ivy but gives him another place to stand in for the present one, which is as a playfully dubbed 'schoolmate'. That fact is cutely ironic for their TOA verses because regarding their positions as fellow Black Eagle faculty members, schoolmates or peers is what they've formally become.
Rafal has also succeeded the pretend-instructor role from their support chain to become a proper one in Fódlan. Manifest destiny in a literal sense and all that.
In terms of alternate Ivy, Rafal's opinion of her when detached from his guilt was likely very structured and businesslike, lacking human warmth, and at times even somewhat exasperated. He seemed surprised that our Ivy didn't share her overemotional nature or her interruptions. That tells me Rafal wasn't perfectly in control of their interactions and that he fielded many of her personality quirks with some level of difficulty or annoyance. Possibly both. The bottom line is that he saw her as a regrettable tool.

Decided to repick up my playthrough of FE3H while waiting for Zelda: TotK hype to die down and while waiting for SoS:AWL to release and
I had forgotten that I stopped after the big moment (spoilers ahead for FE3H Golden Deer- Verdant Wind)
I had only seen bits and pieces of Blue Lions, and most of Black Eagles playthrough, but loading up and jumping straight to Claud's reunion was a surprise. I was expecting the pre time skip design and seeing him in his post time skip design hit me unexpectedly hard. I guess it's because I expected it to be pre time skip, almost like Byleth expecting things to be unchanged, only to realize that's not happening. 🥺 Despite it been so long since the game released and story spoilers have gone out, and me even enjoying post time skip fan content; it feels so surprising seeing the changes, and try to contextualize the changes to character designs I thought I would still get to see. It may not be the blind experience others might have had, but it's a nice surprise that makes me feel like I understand the shook of those players who went through this blind.

Edelgard has little to no character arc in Scarlet Blaze
Lets be honest here does anyone remember Edelgard having any big heroic moments in Scarlet Blaze no well you are correct in not remembering any heroic or any character growth and even if there is it is barely noticeable in comparison to Dimitri and Claude in their own routes in Three Hopes. What could have been a heroic moment for Edelgard was stolen away by Rhea which is good for Rhea by the way.
The Black Eagles have way more development than Edelgard does for example Ferdinand essentially carried the emotional weight of the route, Dorothea explains why she is fighting despite hating to fight, Jeritza is shown more character and Shez has growth.
Scarlet Blaze is just another Crimson Flower as in a rushed and incomplete mess I mean seriously Edelgard has little to no character development and has no heroic moments in her own route and it was given to Rhea.
I would like to say thank you to @faerytells on twitter and PK Gaming on twitter and yes Crimson Flower is a rushed and incomplete mess of a route that is poorly written and Scarlet Blaze is just more polished CF and also yes IS are the biggest antis of Edelgard and she deserves to be hate
